I came in and was looking to find some black tile that was in high demand and in short supply, when I unexpectedly found out that Floor and Decor has designers that help you, free of charge. Connie, the wonderful angel that helped me said, "Honey, you don't want black backsplash!" I have no skill in home decor and so I said, "Well, what do I want?" After looking at the pictures of my kitchen remodel she said, "you could use this or this, or this, any of these will look great" I purchased the tile samples she suggested and home and my husband and we chose the one we liked best. I think Connie saved us from a regrettable design choice for our kitchen. I relied on the website inventory and pickup information for two separate tile purchases. One product was listed as available in-store but could not be located. After ordering it online, I received a notification that it was ready for pickup, but store staff advised it would not arrive for another 7-10 days. During the same visit, another tile was listed as having over 5,000 pieces available, while store staff indicated only about 400 could be found. The conflicting inventory and pickup information resulted in multiple unnecessary trips and significant time lost during an active home renovation project. Customers and store associates appear to be working with inaccurate information. This system needs to be fixed and in the meantime, there needs to be a notice on the website that the system is down. read more

The tile selection is great but geez, it's so dang hot in your store, it's ridiculous! Why do you not have AC going?? It's been in the 90's for weeks. If it's miserable for customers who come in for a short period of time, I can only imagine how rough it is for an entire shift for your employees. read more

We had a wonderful experience with Floor and Decor in Arvada -- we used their Design Consultant Connie to help us pick out bathroom tile for the shower, shower floor, around the tub, and the bathroom floor. Once we had it picked, she helped us choose the grout that would match the best and also the schluter finish. Then she got the order all ready for our tile contractor to pick up. She was so helpful and knowledgeable and I would recommend Connie and Floor and Decor to others. I think F&D has a large selection at reasonable prices. I just did two separate bathroom renovation projects and both went exceedingly well because of the excellent guidance, service, and products at Floor & Decor. I made the mistake once of going to a different location and it was a night and day difference. I don't know what makes the employees at this location so kind, but I assume/hope it means that they have good managers and management who treat them well. These folks are truly amazing and made an otherwise often stressful project feel fun. The first time I went in, just to browse, I had already picked out shower tile and needed to figure out flooring for a bathroom reno, Rafael offered kindly to help, (but in a if you-need it kind of way, not a pushy way) and picked out THE perfect flooring and grout. I hadn't intended to go in making a decision and walked out with a major decision sorted because of his eagle eyes and kind help--and all in under 20 minutes. Another time I went in and I believe Brie helped me find flooring for a different bathroom I was working on and gave me excellent advice and guidance. I always get great advice on quantity, quality, and design here. And, both of my bathrooms now look AMAZING. read more

Please see update before you pass judgement as they did the right thing. Called Arvada store today to order 200SqFt of flooring that was previously purchased last year. Asked representative to look up order under name as it had been sometime. He informed me there was 20 orders on file, as my boss does have a few properties. He said he would not go through each order to find the product and since we do not have order number there is nothing we can do, unless we provide a date or order number. Amazing that a 1000 dollars is not worth the time when we know the product is Westridge Acacia but need to confirm one of two possible colors. Also pretty crazy that you would see we order a lot of product from this business and they are not helpful to keep those orders coming in. Update: Nate from Pro Desk called and spoke to me. Worked everything out, looked up order in a few minutes and got me what I needed. I am impressed that they follow up and do the right thing to make it a more pleasurable experience. 1 star to 4 star. Incredible selection of porcelain, marble, travertine, and ceramic tiles. I'd highly recommend making an appointment with a design consultant. Ours was Christine and she spent nearly 45 minutes with my family and myself exploring different tile options, discussing the pros and cons of each and helping to select the perfect grout color once we had selected our tile. Our entire experience at Floor and Decor was smooth and painless, with much of that experienced owed to the knowledgeable and friendly staff. For our future tile needs with our remodels, we will definitely be back. read more

I really want to like this place. They have given some sound advice in the past and I've been happy enough. This time though, they wasted 5 hours of time with me driving 2.5 hours to pick up a special order they confirmed was in. Turns out it isn't, and most notably, no one cares that they made a mistake that cost me real time and money. Instead, the "MOD" never lets his eyes be seen under his hat and never even addressed me during the process. Just had the nice girl working the counter try to resolve. Resolution is waiting for another delivery. When I approached another manager during my checkout of other products he tried to make it my fault for not calling to confirm it was in stock. Well, I did. I got the text, and then called the store to confirm. I was told that if I got the text then I was good to go. No where else to go, but man, they could be a lot better. read more

This store is amazing! The customer service impeccable, and selection outstanding! We traveled 4 hours to come here. We were asked by a few sales people if we needed help. When it came time for us to get a few specialty items, a sales associate named Ashley was ready and waiting! She scanned all our items before we got to check out so it would be a fast process ( especially considering we had spent over 5 hours making decisions). a terrible in store experience yesterday, that has resonated and disturbed me since. I am writing to F&D corporate HQ because physical and verbal aggression with customers is NEVER acceptable. For context, I'm a 70 year old white haired lady. I asked a middle age man named Malcolm, who was walking by, for some help finding the right Schkuter product. He was rude to me, and his condescending tone seemed so unreasonable,. I was shocked, There had been absolutely no reason for it. I asked to speak to the store manager and Malcolm threatened to throw me out, pushing his hand into my face. It was a completely disturbing experience, especially as a designer who has spent thousands at F&D over the years. The store manager, Dean, did not seem to care at all, not one bit. Great selection, but needed more honest help on engineered hardwood purchase. We asked an associate if the Cocoa Brown Maple Hand Scraped flooring would be a good option and they said yes. Well, it was definitely not the right choice, plenty of scratches about a year into the install. Our fault as well but wish we would've gotten better advice. I would just go to the one in highlands ranch if you can. I asked someone walking by today if I could get some help with a question I had about the vinyl flooring. They said sure let me radio someone to come over. I waited 15 minutes with a 3 year old and no one showed up. I could not even really find anyone to ask about it. I feel like this location is understaffed. I would have ask someone that was helping another guest but I feel that is rude to the person that is being helped. And the other associates I did see didn't want to make eye contact. I am not sure what kind of customer service is happening here but the store wasn't that busy. read more

Better prices and selection than the other home improvement stores in the area. If you know what you want, then this is the place to buy it cheap. If you're trying to decide what you want and need to ask a lot of questions or need to see the materials in context, this probably isn't the place for you. I was looking for cork flooring. While helpful with my questions, Lowes just didn't have what I wanted in stock and it was going to take several weeks to get it ordered and installed. I dropped by Floor & Decor, just to see if they had a better timeline on ordering cork and was shocked to find that not only did they have an incredible selection compared to Lowes, but many of the styles were right there, in stock. Awesome. The store does not do installation, but they have a hefty list of local contractors that they will recommend. I took there recommendation and bought some in stock cork flooring and had it installed in my house in under two weeks. Rad. read more

This is a review of a product more than A Floor and Decor store review. I purchased the AquaGuard engineered flooring, it is absolutely beautiful. However there are some major issues with the product. The product is water resistant as advertised, but the biggest issue is that it scratches very, very, easily. Below is a picture of a scratch that was caused by the binding on the edge of an area rug. I dropped a very lightweight plastic frame on the floor and it gouged the floor. I feel like I'm walking on egg shells. The warranty very specifically excludes scratches. read more

VIALLE helped us immensely as someone who was very new to DIY tile. after our countertops were delayed eight weeks because of Covid, Riley at the front desk helped us jumbled together months of receipts worth of the extra materials we had to ensure we didn't spend any more than we needed to. Same thing happened to me. I have cancer and asked the guy doing my job to return 3 boxes of unopened flooring to floor and decor. He forgot and when I was finally able to get to the store they wouldn't accept the return. So I am still stuck with 3 brand new unopened boxes. Bad customer service. read more

I had a free design appointment with JC today, and he was a pleasure to work with! He took the anxiety out of picking materials for my bathroom remodel, and I actually had a blast. You go around picking tiles to place on an "inspirational cart" so you can keep track of what you like. JC was happy to tell me when something I liked didn't quite "go", yet he was fine with me telling him I didn't like a certain tile. I could seriously spend days in there. The check out process is not streamlined. It definitely needs work and they need more well trained staff so they don't constantly have to be calling management. We have been working on a few different home improvement projects at our home in Edwards (in the mountains). It's an easy drive down the hill for us to go to the Arvada store. Every time we go, we get such incredible help from all of the associates working there. From offers of help finding material, to offers to help pull heavy boxes of tile/flooring onto our cart to helping us load up our car, everyone rushes in to help us out! How you train people to be so helpful is awesome! Wish that so many other stores could have employees be as helpful (imagine how much more that Home Depot and Lowe's could be selling if they could have the same training with their employees!). And we know it's not like that at every location of Floor & Decor - not every location is as well run as this one. None of their store locations has the ability to get their inventory count correct. We placed an order for pick up at this store. Waited, and waited for an email for them (per their instructions) indicating that it was ready for pick up. After calling, they do not have it in stock. No call to let us know. We have canceled our order and now have to wait 10 days to have the funds back in our account. Terrible customer service and inability to correctly capture inventory levels. I am confident no representative 2ill reply to this, as it is clear based on other reviews that only 4 and 5 star reviews receive attention. read more
