She was very friendly and knowledgeable, she had great insight on the slate that we were looking for. This is my favorite place for tiling and flooring. I have tiled several rooms in my house and have always found an appropriate tile. They have many porcelain tiles that are cheaper than ceramic at other places. For anyone using a floor leveler, I highly recommend the Mapei floor leveler they sell. It is the best I have tried. Even though we had a bad experience at the Highlands Ranch location, another contractor recommended Floor & Decor to us, so we stopped by the Arvada store, and are very glad we did. In contrast to our last visit at the other store where we couldn't get someone to help us (even though I was on crutches and looking quite pathetic), we had at least 3 offers for help while we were looking around. I called an hour ahead of time, and was able to get an appointment with Sabine, for a free design consultation. We need to update our small master bath, and are looking for "out of the box" ideas to maximize our space. We didn't even get to the part where we selected our tile, because Sabine had so many pointers on things we should consider, codes we should consult, and additional layout design options. She took the time to educate me about what kinds of tile I'd want in a bathroom for wall, shower, floor - what the different levels mean - and what to look for in a contractor, as certain tiles require more skilled labor. We'll definitely come back when it's time to select our tile! read more

Great product, quantity and price point for materials. Chase at the Pro Desk was outstanding; he assisted us with determining the correct Schluter products for a heated bathroom floor installation. Beware of this store. The tile is junk. We purchased several boxes of tile for a bathroom floor. After the tile installers installed the tile, we noticed a fricken smilee face embedded in the tile. We have this on 7 of the tiles we already installed. I went to the store to talk to the manager about it. He just shrugged his shoulders and said there wasn't anything they could do about it. Joy helped me out today,and she's kinda awesome. She helped me find exactly what I needed and advised me on a tricky little installation issue. Selection: This store has a lot of the little finishing pieces I needed,but the selection is not all that extensive,and prices seem to run a couple cents more per tile than Home Depot, but the associates are more knowledgeable. One annoyance: They won't cut a tile for you. No way. No how. Not gonna do it. Not even if you were trapped in a tile box and needed to be cut out to prevent asphyxiation. No cutting. Even though they could because you KNOW they have a wetsaw. Kinda sucks because I was buying a marble threshold that was 3" wider than my doorway. I'm not going to buy or rent a wetsaw for one cut, so I have to take it to Lowe's, who will happily cut it even though I didn't buy it there. read more

I am a regular here. I am always remodeling something and it usually involves tile. They know me here by now. The always have a good selection of reasonably priced tile. They are good to help when you need it, with designing, lifting or loading tile. They are great about buying and returning samples. They can also recommend tile setters if you need it. The prices are good and so is the selection. I have ordered from them for tile and flooring. My flooring order was a disaster. For my first pick up order, they packed two different brands and widths of floor trim. I was lucky that I had enough of the one type to finish the job. The next pick up wasn't ready as promised. I waited for 1 1/2 hours, only to find that they left out certain parts of the order. The weirdest thing is that, when I called the general customer service line to get some help, I was presented with all these sales offers for products that have nothing whatsoever to do with Floor and Decor merchandise- panic buttons, cable tv, internet service, insurance, and more! I kept selecting # as directed to get to customer service, but I never reached the end of all the advertisement. I never could reach any help. I had to use their chat line. Bizarre! read more

I signed up for the free consultation with a designer. Sabine called me a few hours in advance to confirm the appt. She greeted us and kept us focused - we were tackling 4 bathrooms in 2 homes. She explained the store layout so we could use our time wisely. She knew if a tile came in a different shape, matte vs shiny, etc. She was more than willing to incorporate clearance options in her suggestions. Giving them 1 star is generous. I ordered 7k worth of flooring on June 1st in a transaction that took 5 minutes tl. It arrived to their store June 16th. After calling them a half dozen times and 4 weeks later I still don't have my flooring delivered. I'd give their credit billing system 5 stars though, they've sent me two statements already. read more

ON 3/1/21 I purchased almost $1000.00 worth of tile to be installed. When I walked in the store, I knew nothing about purchasing LVP or tile and was helped by Zach. Not only does he know his products, but he was patient, professional, kind, knowledgable. He was fabulous to work with and took me through the process seamlessly. It was a treat to have someone so attentive. I left the store knowing I needed to have the products picked up within 2 weeks and arranged for my contractor to do this which he never did. Shortly after this, my husband had two heart procedures and the installation that was being done by an outside contractor (not Floor & Decor) was delayed. We rearranged installation for 5/10 - 5/12/21, rented a place in the mountains (nonrefundable) so we could be gone during the process. Now our contractor has bailed on us. I just talked to Zach explaining the situation and he has refunded 100% of our payment for the merchandise so we can think about what comes next. I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY MORE HIGHLY AND GIVE THEM TEN STARS, NOT JUST FIVE. Not only did they hold our products for over two months but immediately understood the situation and Zach refunded our payment without question. As I scroll through other reviews of Floor & Decor, I can see that customer service is a top priority and I recommend, without reservation, a trip to Floor & Decor for your home improvement needs. read more

Bad return policy. I use to really like this store. Now, their return policy has made it difficult to want to shop here. I spent over $1000 at this store for our renovation. I decided to return two unopened boxes of tile with my receipt of $527. Since it was passed 90 days, they refused to take it back, even though they still carried this tile and featured it on a display. I questioned why and looked at their return policy right there at the checkout, I was expecting a merchandise credit for the amount I paid. No, I was told that a third party decides whether or not I will get the merchandise credit. I asked for the manager to explain this. He said it was for "safety and security reasons." What the heck does that mean? Is anyone else tired of hearing, "It's for your safety?" They treated me as if I were a criminal. After calling F&D customer service and the third party, The Retail Equation, TRE, I wasted a bunch of time getting nothing resolved. If I wanted to appeal their (TRE) decision, I would have to write a letter and mail it with all the receipts. I figured that would waste more of my time. Instead, I tried to return just one box at two different store locations. No luck. I had some success getting around the system by returning less than $250 worth of tile and receiving a merchandise credit. However, TRE gave me a WARNING that I can't return anything for 60 days! I still had my receipt and F&D had this in their system. ("I am not a criminal!") I was able to get my "Return Activity Report," RAR, from TRE, which showed that I attempted to return tile four times and that the first three times I was denied. That was it. So, to cut down on fraudulent returns from thefts, this third party took my info from my drivers license and didn't look at my excellent history with this store. It appears they only looked at the amount of the transaction and then displayed a big red banner notification on the checkout screen denying the return. I understand that people steal things and then return them for credit and this hurts the retailer. But these third party verification services use data with no human judgement. The store manager should be able to override this. Once I can use my store credit, I will no longer shop at Floor & Decor. read more

Looked all around town, this place had the best deals. Even better than lumber liquidator. They have a pretty decent sized show room with a lot of selection. Picked out some laminate flooring for our new apartment. The employees are ok, so do a bit of research if your a diy type of person. We're in the process of renovating several bathroom so I've been to about every tile store in the Denver area. This one was the worst. No only did the guys who work in the store reek of pot and thus give the type of service you would suspect comes with that, but then they recommended I get the project off the company website. So I did....only to receive a call the next day that they wanted $100 in freight shipping. This was odd as it was never mentioned---the website gave me the option of having it shipped to the store or to my home for $11.51. When I contacted a rep. they said if you scrolled all the way to the bottom of the pages and read lots of fine print, I'd see it. In the end, you can get the same product elsewhere and deal with professionals. read more
