We contacted Gabe to refurbish our beloved coffee table, that accidentally got a large acetone spill on the table top. It would have been easier to just buy a new table, but, like I mentioned, we (mostly me!) we really wanted this table. Gabe responded in a timely manner - within about an hour of my initial contact. He gave me a fair quote for the repair and a separate fair quote for taking the table to his workshop. He was able to take the table top off the rest of the table, making it easy for him to transport the portion of the table that actually needed to be refurbished. While the color is very dark in my pictures, and it's hard to see the luster, AND our basement is kind of a sty, I'm attaching two pictures of the table (Gabe is welcome to delete the pics if he prefers, with no hard feelings on my part). Extremely disappointed by the way i was treated by Gabe. Gabe and I have been communicating for almost two months now about repairs to my coffee table. Initially, we spoke on Yelp and then eventually text and phone. I had to reschedule once which he accommodated and I followed up to make sure that our new date worked which Gabe confirmed. Gabe stated he would be calling me around 8-8:30am to let me know his ETA for the pick up so I set my alarm early to ensure that everything would be ready. At 8:45 Gabe texted me saying he would be at my apartment at 9:30, let down number 1 but I told him I would be here. Gabe calls and states he can't fit his truck into my building's garage to which I responded "that's for residents only you need to park on the street". He then asked if there was an elevator to which I responded yes. Gabe said he'd be right up. 15 minutes goes by and he hasn't shown up so I call to see how he could go from in front of my garage to totally lost and he said "oh I'm at the gas station" (?????). I asked if he needed me to come outside so he could find it and he said to me he could not pick it up any longer as he has to get tools for his next job and completely bailed on me. (Strike 2). Gabe then told me he would come around 4 to pick it up and I reluctantly agreed because of the experience I had with him in the morning. Once again, I followed up and confirmed with Gabe if he would be here at 4 and responded "I'll text you at 3:45" and at 3:45 bailed once again (strike 3). At this point I'm pretty upset as he stood me up TWICE in one day and I literally had to wait around for him all day beginning at 8am. When I voiced my concerns Gabe then placed the blame on me saying that I "didn't tell him I was on the 3rd floor" which I don't understand what that has to do with picking up the table he already agreed to pick up. I am attaching the conversations between us to this review so you can see how Gabe treated me today. I opted to not use his services as I would never trust him with my valuable furniture and I would urge you to think twice before trusting him with yours. read more

Gabe made 2 bathroom counter tops for me and both are beautiful. They turned out better than I could picture. He also cut the holes for the sinks and faucet which turned out perfect. I was so worried about getting everything right so the plumber could do his work. When everything was installed it worked perfectly. The water from the faucet hit the sink in just the right spot. The sinks and faucets went in with no problems and the counter tops are gleaming.
