We first hired him back when he was known as "Steve Beam Handyman," and it's been amazing to see him grow and expand his services with the launch of Denver Remodels Inc. Over the years, Steve and his team have tackled everything from small repairs (like anchoring heavy drapery hardware into our finicky plaster walls) to major renovations (like restoring the exterior of our 1908 Craftsman). One of our favorite projects was transforming our mudroom by removing a wall and building a custom breakfast nook. This was a complex project, but Steve's expertise and creativity shone through. He even suggested a design element in the booth walls that perfectly complemented the Craftsman lines of our home - it's those little details that make a huge difference. What we think truly sets Steve apart is his incredible craftsmanship, creativity, and his consultative approach. He takes the time to truly understand your vision and offers expert guidance throughout the design process. Whether you're tackling a small project or a major renovation, Steve's deep knowledge and experience are on display with every project he does. He's always there to answer questions, offer suggestions, and steer you in the right direction, ensuring that the final result is even better than you imagined. His team is equally fantastic - professional, efficient, and incredibly skilled. If you're looking for a reliable, knowledgeable, and truly exceptional remodeling experience in Denver, look no further than Steve Beam and Denver Remodels Inc. They're a standout and I'm so glad we found them.

I originally hired Josh years ago for a very small job which he humbly accepted in between his other large jobs (in hindsight he was far overqualified). I knew he would be our person for any future projects. When it came time for cabinetry for our basement finish, I knew Josh was who we would use. To cover my bases, I explored a couple other quotes. Here's the nutshell on that. While Josh's pricing was at first glance (slightly) on the higher side than other quotes, the value easily exceeded the other quotes we got. One was slightly less but the cabinets would have to be painted after install (they didn't provide painting) whereas Josh follows best practices and all cabinets were expertly painted prior to install. Josh is also able to do just about anything you can dream of. We did a custom wardrobe-style storage closet with paneling to match an adjacent wall and the work he did seamlessly integrates with the work of our basement carpenter. Moreover, when some things went south with our project and we had to have the floors redone, Josh really saved us. We no longer trusted our original carpenter and Josh helped fix trim work that had been damaged in the floor debacle process. As you can see, I really can't say enough good things about Josh and his skills. The bonus to all of this is he is a kind, genuine person who is genuinely wonderful to be around. Don't be surprised if it feels as comfortable having him in your home as it does a long-time friend. Show Josh respect and kindness and he will return it tenfold and more.

The simple project we hired them to do turned into a total disaster…read more The project that should have taken 3 days took 6 weeks to complete and event then was horrible quality. Then they invoiced us for more than twice the cost of the original estimate even after they "took off" some charge for delay and poor communication When we had them out to for an estimate and spoke about the jobs and it was clear that we saw there could need to be additional work added to complete the job correctly once we got started, which should have been included in the estimate. Instead they added more charges later with no explanation. Also On the estimate they simply wrote "materials not included" and never discussed possible costs an then the the cost of materials was 2/3 more than the estimate for the actual work. This is completely duping customers with what their final cost will be! Customers understand there is a cost for materials, which they could include at least a rough number in the original estimate, but if material costs will be almost as much as the work they should include this in their estimate. This is a sneaky, dishonest business practice. Along with the high cost of our materials, we had to pay for every person that came to replace the previous person that did a terrible job. The first person tried to complete the job as a total amateur and ruined what they were meant to improve. Then 3 other workers tried unsuccessfully to complete the job and wasted time and materials to do a horrible, poor quality job, which then had to be corrected by consecutive workers. Finally after 6 weeks the job was completed by a single person in 2 days. Even after all these weeks and people we still have one thing that was working before they arrived and when they finished the left it completely unusable and we have to hire another company to fix what they ruined. By the end when we received the invoice we filed a complaint and they took off a nominal amount but never reconciled the horrible work, time, or inflated charged.
