Wandering around, trying to get a juice...
    Joey M.

"Well, listen, if you bring 'em by, maybe we could interest you in a game of pool.. Yeah, Frank here - he's got his own billiard room." - Cosmo Kramer, Seinfeld da Scene: Revisiting old haunts and took my daughter here to play some pool and tell stories from my old (and her recent) youth. It's a far cry from the original spot on Ke'eaumoku I used to go; right across from Like Like Drive-Inn... it was more like a old school "Color of Money" pool hall back then. There is ALOT going on in this spot now. Event space for concerts/club, 2 pool rooms, full bar, darts, and a hidden speakeasy (see review of Wild Orange). da Play: Came in early afternoon/evening and was already busy, tables were a little worn, but true and spaced nicely, there were mostly regulation-size tables and a few smaller bar-size ones by the darts. Good cues were a little sparce and for some reason a lot of "keiki-sized" ones... then I realized why when some kiddos walked by. I think it's great that you can bring your kids, now I get why the "21 band" gets issued at security. There was a lecture/event w/ Hawaiian music in the event space when we got there, turned into a club with music thumping through the walls later on. Played almost two hours, with three rounds of drinks, very reasonable. da Service: Park, check in, parking validated, hit the bar, drop your name for a table and wait for the pager to vibrate while sipping on cold drinks... Bartenders were nice as was the very diverse crowd. 20 somethings groups chatting it up, date night couples, bros drinking more than playing, families w/ kids, and a few semi-serious guys "in session". GREAT PEOPLE WATCHING. Security is visible and on top of things; couple of times a rowdy group got rambunctious and got a firm talking to... you don't wanna get a scolding by any of the bulls in yellow security shirts!!

My favorite spot on the island hands down. I love their events. Especially the Cozy R&B parties. My last two events were the Rodeo and Chocolate City Party. It is located on 2nd floor in the garage. The garage gets packed quick. I highly recommend to uber. There is street parking available but you might have to do some long walking.

Wow. Most of the negative reviews are due to a rude bartender. We didn't have issues with the bartender though and really liked this billiard hall. It's pretty spacious with many large and bar-sized pool tables as well as darts. The tables, balls and cues were in pretty good condition too. Drinks and games are reasonably priced as well. Chill, local vibes.

They double charged me and still haven't given a refund

Hawaiian Brian's ensured me that I would get a refund a couple days later after they double charged me of my bar tab. I still haven't received it. To those that will go here to drink, bring cash, because their register may crash on you when you pay with your card.

Apparently 19 is a pretty good table number

It's taken me a while to review this place because I saw other reviews and I just want to start this review setting expectations. There's not many places in Hawaii for pool and darts on the cheap. I started coming here as an 18 year old who didn't wanna go back to her dorm but also didn't have money so $1 pool and darts at HB's it is! People complain about the ambiance of this place, but in all honesty, I never had an issue with it; it adds character of who/what Hawaiian Brian's is. Okay, the Crossroads venue could use some air circulation, but in Hawaii, venues like Crossroads are hard to find that are cheap and convenient. Would I come to an event here? Not really, just because I feel like the prices aren't worth it nowadays. I feel like HBs has 9/10 given just what I was looking for: a chill place to play a couple games to end off the night. Although, I do have to take off a star because pool is no long $1 anymore, I think it's per person, per hour now. But other than that, you can't expect a lot from this place, but that's a good thing. I feel like we all need someplace reliable like this and I'm glad Hawaiian Brian's has always been there to deliver.

A funky entrance location inside a parking lot next to 24 hour fitness held a surprising good venue for music. We were very pleasantly surprised indeed! Came for a jazz saxophone show for Nelson Rangell in their Crossroads space and totally impressed by the sound quality, lighting, seating, crowd and organization of check in. Would definitely come back.

WORST bartenders. Rude and a not friendly at all. Awful customer service skills. Sticks are broken. Lines are ridiculous. Will not be back.

Friends and I have been playing pool more regularly and started branching out to new places for us. This is a great option for any billiards game in Honolulu; they have snooker tables, and pool tables of various regulation sizes. It's located next to Jack in the Box; there's a colorful sign on the door, simply press the buzzer for it to be unlocked to come inside. The main counter is on the second floor, and they have two big rooms filled with lots of tables and plenty of space between them. The clerk was super welcoming, he told us about the place and league nights; there's also a ground level area that's almost exclusively used by leagues. It's comfortable with bright lighting and an old Hawaii vibe to the place. It's also dry; they have a soda/water machine and a snack machine but otherwise no drinks or food. They have lots of cues to choose from, all kept in great shape. Play rates are reasonable about $6/hr per person; for three of us to stay and play a few hours was only $30 total. This is a hidden gem for pool in Honolulu, and you'll see some amazing players here.

Upon entering its small, luckily it was empty when I went with my friends which was perfect. We didn't know the instructions would be in Korean but we had an employee explain how to play 4 Ball. Once you understand the instructions the game is really fun and we became competitive! I didnt see any liquor and forgot to ask. They charge $2 for 10 minutes of gameplay. Don't worry you don't have to set your watch or iPhone because they have a clock that keeps the time for you. Overall, I would go back because i learned a new game. "Pocket Pool" is what many people play, this is BILLIARDS..... larger tables with no pockets, and only 3 balls - one white, yellow and red. the place was empty, so i'm guessing really new. there was one guy working the register area towards the back corner of the place. from what i can tell, the tables were nice, but i have yet to play on them. they have the instructions posted on the walls b/c many people probably do not know the rules of billiards, so that is handy. i think i'm gonna come back to play here and check out what the prices are....
