While they do sell a small variety of cigars, they have monthly cigar events with Fujioka's which feature a different brand each month, that are available for purchase at the events. They also usually partner with a local food vendor for the events and feature special dishes. The service is very friendly and they have a variety of liquors... especially whiskey! I was in Waikiki for a short work trip, and The Row came up during my search to find a place to drink and smoke a cigar. TL:DR - If you are looking for a good selection of bottles, great service, good price, and place to smoke a cigar (especially if you bring your own), do not think twice about visiting The Row Kaka'ako Location : it's right in the middle of a courtyard of a business office building. It's surrounded by restaurants with variety of offering, but they tend to close a bit early. It's fully outdoor but has a bit of cover. Drinks/Services/Vibe : I thought the overall selection was pretty good. For this size of a bar, in the middle of a building, I was expecting much less. They offer some pretty good selections of bottles at pretty good price. All the employees I interacted with were fantastic; tentative, positive, and just very positive. Cigars : While there are few other places to smoke cigars near by, I couldn't find any location reasonable. I tend to travel with my own cigars and I just wanted to find a bar where I can smoke. Unfortunately, there's no such place in Waikiki. At The Row Kaka'ako, you can bring your own cigars and enjoy. If you didn't bring cigars with you? no problem. A great place to hangout after a long day this outdoor bar isn't really the place for the view but a place to lounge and enjoy the rest of your day as they do have some collaboration sometimes with local vendors like on this day was with Bing Mi 808 which makes Jianbing which is a popular Chinese street food somewhat like a crepe filled with savory items. I ordered my Jianbing and grabbed a seat at the bar which the staff was very nice and friendly though I did have a gathering in a few hours so could't stay but did enjoy the vibe here. I can't believe the Row bar is still around after all these years. I came here on a Friday evening to unwind with my work buddies. Open air is always nice but we noticed there were quite a bit of cigar smokers at this bar. Wait a minute, no cigarette smoking but cigar smoking is allowed? I need to go review the Hawaii statue on this. Row bar serves strictly drinks. They provide menu for an Ahi place nearby but you have to go there, order, and bring the food back. Another option is Aloha Mamacita, a Mexican takeout near the parking entrance. Row bar lets you bring outside food basically. They do offer Happy hour discount which was nice but not sure about the cigar smoking atmosphere. read more

Located in the middle of restaurant row is this cute little bar perfect for those pau hana (after work) pow wows with your fellow colleagues. The whole venue is placed outdoors where you can either lounge at the tables or sit directly at the bar to unwind and watch some tv. Service here is great. The staff are very chill, friendly, and easy to talk to. It is just the perfect way to just relax after a stressful work day. The food was pretty delicious. Although my friend and I arrived to the venue a little later in the night (around 7ish), there weren't that much of a selection as they had a little over 5 items that were sold out by the time we got there. We ended up ordering a plate of loaded fries with cheese, bacon, tomatoes and green onion. The fries were waffle cut which was perfect to catch all that toppings. The order came out quickly; perfectly cooked and well balanced with the creaminess of the cheese topping. We also ordered the wings (comes in 6) with the parmesan garlic dry rub. Wings were cooked perfectly and packed in a lot of savory flavor that made you want to eat more. Since it was a wine preferred night, we opted for the house glass of sauvignon blanc which was quite delicious. What an awesome spot! An open air outdoor dining bar. I came here for the super bowl and the vibe was awesome! They had giveaways from bud light (beach chairs, Kona yeti cooler, a Stella Artois pizza oven, shirts, and free beers)! The bar is all open air so there's no AC if you're wondering what to wear. Parking was easy as I just parked in the street for free but they also have a parking garage, which I am not sure if they validate parking for. But this bar was fun, has TVs everywhere so you can see and hear whatever you may be watching for a big sporting event, and I believe they allowed people to bring in outside food. They could improve on EVERYTHING, starting with service. Went to catch the end of today's game (Seattle vs Detroit). Sat at the bar for 20+ minutes before being acknowledged by one of the three (x3) bartenders, and no they were not crazy busy; simply inattentive. Placed my order for a beer and shot, and was subsequently told "we are out of beer." Okay, I will still do the shot. Waited another 15+ minutes, before being asked again, "oh do you still want your drink?" Really? At that point, I said no thank you, I would simply like my parking validated. They do not sell cigars, they had one lighter and the cigar cutter was a basic cigar slider that gouges the cigar enough to allow one to technically smoke but gives the cigar an open wound feel to it. My Ashton had the wonderful experience in unraveling throughout the experience. They have fans set up all over that either control the smoke or cool the patrons at the bar, either way, not exactly conducive to a great cigar smoking experience. I can't express enough how disappointed I am in the service of this establishment. I'm here celebrating my Founders day and was rudely treated but the man pictured here and the bartender. I was poured probably 3oz glass of a sparkling wine (half glass) and when I questioned the pour, I was chastised immediately and told I was being rude for questioning the pour. When I stated my dissatisfaction and requested another drink, he walked away and told me there was nothing he can do. When I asked to speak to a manager he threatened to call security and chastised me again. He specifically said I didn't have a right to ask for a manager. When a manager was I identified and I politely interrupted his conversation, which I realized now that he sat back and watched the entire conversation between myself and the bartender, he told me not to interrupt him and also threatened take my drink that I already paid for and call security. All of it escalated to a space that it didn't need to be. I felt humiliated and that I was unjustified in being an unhappy customer. Be aware of where you spend you money and the level at which this situation escalated, as a former bartender and food service worker was uncalled for and I would never come back. read more

I saw a man was waiting at the bar for almost half an hour. When the man finally got to talk to the bartender, the man was asking this bartender if he could have a menu. The bar tender told him to get out and gave the man an angry face. I was so scared when I saw that, I left thinking that might happen to me too. First of all, isn't that illegal? There is such thing as a right to refuse service, but if I were to do something like that to anyone with my own business, I would lose everything. The man didn't do anything, he looked normal. Maybe he hasn't been there in a while and wonder if the prices change. Prices go up and down. Also, if you're gonna kick a man out of your bar just because he asks a question that you don't like, and just because he asks for a menu since that person hasn't been there for a while, from what I was taught in school studying Pre-Law, that's discrimination against a protected class. If someone is engaging in weird motions (which by the way I noticed he had whenever he moved around), and asking for something funny, you assist them, you don't kick them out because they don't fit in.
