It has been a while since I've been back. The menu is different. We came for happy hour. The bartender, who looked like James Franco, was cool and fun. Debbie D and I were the first ones there and we had to come in through the back because the manager who had the key to the front had not arrived yet. All good! Felt like we were going to a secret bar. As the evening progressed, it did get busier. We just kept drinking and it was a lot of fun catching up! Mahalo Bevy!
This was hands down the best way to start off my Honolulu trip. The vibes were perfect -- they had a live band called Banana Jazz playing video game covers (yes... like Sonic, Chrono Trigger, and even Persona 5). The crowd knew how to vibe with it too, which made it all the more memorable. I ordered the Cheeky Monkey and it was exactly what I wanted: sweet, warm, and fun -- and the banana-pineapple-coconut foam on top was such a nice touch that made each subsequent sip enjoyable. (Also love the subtle cinnamon note.) Big shoutout to the bartender -- truly the MVP. She was single-handedly running the entire bar all night and still took the time to help guide me toward the kind of drink I was looking for. That kind of service, especially during a busy night, deserves flowers. If you want live music, good energy, and a cocktail that matches the moment -- this spot is it.
Stopped in for a quick drink around 5ish on a Wednesday before our dinner reservation nearby. It was happy hour at that time (Wed-Sat, 5 to 7). They have some cocktails for $12, wines for $14, beer for $5-$6, and discounted bar snacks. There was something called "cocktail of the day" as a part of the happy hour menu, which I don't think they really set because when we asked the bartended about it, she said she could just make us whatever we liked. So she asked what our liquor of choice was (whiskey) and if we liked more sweet/sour/strong. My husband and I each told her our preferences and she expertly made us each two very different drinks that we both enjoyed. You could tell she was a bartended who was actually good at her job, and not one just pouring alcohol. If we didn't have the dinner reservation, we probably would have stayed for another drink and some bar snacks. Definitely worth checking out - especially during happy hour!
I was interested to find a cocktail bar in Honolulu, and when I asked a server from another restaurant, they recommended Bevy as a place they'd go if they wanted drinks! So glad they suggested this place--Bevy has a really chill atmosphere, along with a disco ball, amazing drinks, and a panda mural! Our group just had drinks, and I personally had the Bleeding Heart and Trinidad Sour. Both of those drinks were ON FIRE. The Bleeding Heart actually had a hibiscus ice cube, which was so delicious to have melting in the drink! So glad I checked out this place--our server was amazing (shout out to G!) and the atmosphere was exactly what we needed after a long day!

I have passed on weekends and know it gets busy. We didn't order food as we already ate. The server was unclear as to the special was which I thought odd as patrons would want to know. She did though, try to describe it. The mixologist came by and offered us a drink that he just made (the navy swizzle which was go) and we thought that was nice. Lots of drinks had ingredients I never heard of so it took awhile to get through, for me. Service was a little in lacking as there was just the one server albeit the place was pretty empty and the mixologist. Luckily we were just enjoying our time and not on a time crunch.
I absolutely loved the vibe at Bevy! It is a fantastic bar/restaurant for late-night hangouts. It's been a while since I've visited, but I still remember the amazing time my friends and I had here. We ordered the punch bowl, which was shareable among 4-6 people. The large bowl is priced at $110, but split amongst 6 people it's roughly $18, which is definitely worth the price - very comparable to singular cocktail drinks. When I was there, they had a live band. It wasn't too busy, so the vibes were very casual, but it was the chill night that we needed after arriving from our long flights. The staff were also very welcoming and friendly. We didn't order any food, so I can't say much about their menu, but it seems like they only offer small bites and appetizers. I'd definitely visit here again!

The happy hour drink menu features a variety of delightful options, all priced at $12. My personal favorites were the lavender mule, paloma, and margaritas. These drinks were expertly crafted and bursting with flavor. On Taco Tuesday, which runs from 5 pm to 9 pm, they offer a special deal of three tacos for $14, accompanied by margarita specials. If you're looking for shareable dishes beyond the happy hour menu, I highly recommend trying the brussel sprouts. This dish features a delightful combination of pistachio, jalapeño, pickled onions, and a sesame ponzu glaze. Additionally, the smoked salmon, served with balsamic, taro, and Okinawan sweet potato chips, is a must-try. My early memories of Bevy is when I was in college and freshly of drinking age- it was like a cozy club that you would really run into every cool person you knew. Whether you're looking for a relaxing happy hour or a memorable night out, Bevy Bar is the place to be.

The bartenders there are knowledgeable and seem to love what they do. It's fun to talk story with them and get suggestions on new spirit concoctions. They have a nice outdoor patio, where you can sip your cocktail, with your doggie and people watch. My favorite cocktail is the O-Ren 88 named after Lucy Liu's character from the movie Kill Bill On the food menu they offer my favorite - Raw OYSTERS!!! I'll also never say no to a badass smash burger.

Their website says to text a number, which I did the Friday before. They called back later that night, but I missed that call. The days leading up to the reservation, I called at least three times to try and confirm the reservation, but they did not get back to me. Luckily, on the day of the reservation, the restaurant was completely empty, and they were able to accommodate our group. I ordered the shawarma tacos with the lamb and falafel. Food was delicious because it was from Doner Shack. The reason for my low rating is what happened when we were paying for our food. The waitress offered to ring us up separately because the restaurant was completely empty. We decided that this would be best for us, so she walked around the table with her handheld device. When it came to me, she confirmed what I ordered and asked for my card. I handed her my card and she tapped it for me. What a mistake. She didn't confirm the amount, and THERE WAS A 20% TIP THAT WAS AUTOMATICALLY ADDED. I only realized this when she gave the device back to me to sign, and there was suggested tip amounts of 3, 5, and 7%. I was wondering why it was so low and then realized it was because there was already a tip added. Too late to do anything about it. She did not mention the automatic 20% to anyone in my party. And there is no mention of an automatic gratuity for large parties. This was just greedy and rude, and I will never be coming back here. Also, just a friendly reminder that when you are dining out to always check your bill. This is not the only place I've been to that has added on charges that were not fully transparent.
Chill vibes and a nice night with family and friends. The drinks were well made and there was a ton of whiskeys to choose from. The ambiance was mellow lighting and nice bench seating with some high tops. There was also an outdoor seating area. It definitely livened up with my brother in law dj-ing that night. The small but aok dance floor made it a fun night for this way past his clubbing age guy. I enjoyed dancing with my wife for sure. The bathroom was clean and inside the establishment which was nice. The service was very slow and it took some time to get drinks and food. It was a pretty busy night and the wait staff/bar staff was swamped. I would go here again if someone I knew was dj-ing or to have a few drinks.
Ina, Michael, and Alia were the absolute most incredible trio of workers I've likely ever met in my life. The owner happened to swing by tonight, and man do I wish he stayed for a little longer... he has an elite team of workers under him, and he deserves to be happy about that. Each one of them deserves a raise, I've seen some careless "tips" all around the bar. They have incredible teamwork and they know what to do without supervision. Props to all 3, this place is incredible and needs more support. Keep your best workers at their best work!

Surprised I don't have a review for this place, whaaat!!! It's a solid goto spot for cocktails and bites. Wish they had mo betta beers, but guess that's not there thing. Can park at salt or street if lucky. Like the happy hour which is all night Tuesdays and 5-7 pm Wed to Sat. Always aloha service and the rustic vibes. read more

This is the place to go for craft cocktails. The lavender-infused vodka Moscow mule was refreshing and perfectly balanced, and the espresso martini was smooth, rich, and well executed. They also have a solid lineup of other creative craft cocktails that are clearly made with care. The vibe shifts later in the night--it turns into more of a nightclub scene with a DJ, and sometimes there's live music, which makes it a fun spot whether you're starting or ending your night out. Really hoping they bring back their food happy hour menu soon because that would make this place even better. read more

Bevy is a classy casual bar in SALT at our Kaka'ako that serves creative cocktails and a small food menu. We came for happy hour and ordered a few cocktails and some happy hour food dishes. The shrimp was crispy but pretty uneventful. The servers were nice. SALT is a beautiful location with lots of local businesses. SALT has their own private paid parking lot and establishments in it validate. read more

I had heard from a work friend that Bevy had good drinks and tapas so we decided to check it out. Instead of trying the signature cocktails we got the the kine punch bowl. It was very delicious. It was citrusy and perfectly boozy. The only thing is there was more ice than punch. I ordered the smoked salmon. It was not my favorite. I felt bad to send the plate back and the waitress made me feel uncomfortable by asking everyone at the table if they wanted it... when I had already asked them... she then proceeded to say "Just eat it". After that interaction it felt like she was avoiding our table. I waited a bit and decided to order carne asada tacos. Which I enjoyed. The flavor was good. A friend ordered the steak which was delicious. The steak had a nice rub and was very tender. The pickles were also very delicious. I wish I had ordered this for me! My wife had the carnita tacos. She said they were good and juicy, not greasy. Another friend ordered the birria tacos. She was satisfied but had had better birria and elsewhere. I tried the kusshi oyster it was very fresh and delicious especially with lemon juice. I would come back to try the signature cocktails, different plates, and more oysters. read more
My coworker recommended we hit Bevy for their happy hour which was a great place to unwind after a work week! Their happy hour runs from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. We arrived a little after happy hour started and for a Friday night it wasn't busy! To eat, I had the Happy Hour Tacos, which comes with three tacos and your choice of protein. I ordered the Carnita, Chicken, and Califlower tacos. They also offer Carne Asada and Baja Fish at an additional charge. The tacos also come with your choice of salsa on the side, ranging from mild, medium, and spicy. Out of the three tacos, the Califlower Taco was my favorite. It was my first time trying a cauliflower-based taco, which was superb! The Carnita and Chicken Tacos were good but the meat was a little oily. I found the tortillas to be small, soggy, and all of them broke easily. Although, one thing that I liked was how all three tacos were piled high with protein and toppings! My coworker ordered the Crispy Brussels and Empanadas. They enjoyed their food and often frequent this establishment. Nowadays, it's hard to find places that offer reasonably priced happy hour deals on Friday and Saturday nights. The chic yet casual restaurant is conveniently located in SALT Kakaako. They offer seating both outdoors, which is open and casual, as well as indoors, which gives off more of a dimmer and lively ambiance. Service is good, vaccination cards are checked, and parking can be validated for the structure. Bevy is worth a visit for their happy hour items but it wouldn't be my first choice to dine at if it were during their regular hours. read more

Nice place for pau hana. I went here on a Tuesday evening for pupus and drinks. Gather around folks and have a seat, I will breakdown the experience for you. First, the food and drinks were very good! I had a Pimm's #5 Cup. It was a mixed drink that contained whiskey. It was very good! For food I had the NY steak, crispy pork belly, and mahi mahi tacos. The steak was thinly sliced and cooked perfectly! It had a nicely seasoned "crust" cooked on it and the inside was perfectly pink. It comes with two sauces and a few very thinly sliced cucumbers-- it's perfect for sharing. The crispy pork belly was also very good. It comes with caramelized onions and a little bit of wonbok cabbage. The caramelized onions go really well with the steak if you order these two items. The order of tacos comes with 3 soft shell street tacos. They had red cabbage and mango salsa on them. They are super generous with ingredients, so you will need to eat like half of the filling with a chopstick or fork before you can properly pick up the taco. Second, the service was excellent! Our server (her name was Keelie, I believe) was outstanding! She was very friendly and attentive and recommended my drink which I thoroughly enjoyed. The hostess at the front was polite and friendly as well. The wait at about 5:30pm on a Tuesday was about 40 minutes. Third, the experience was nice. It was a little bit loud with the live music, but the music was good and it would really depend where you sit for the volume. I was seated inside near the stage, so it was in the loud section. There were also some seats outside that may not have been able to hear the live music at all. Lastly, parking was convenient in the Salt parking structure. With validation, parking was $2. This place is a cool, hip, and fun spot with a wonderful selection of food and drinks. I will definitely be back for more after work shenanigans. read more
This review is for weekend night drinks. Tl;dr: DJ, club vibe but too small to truly be one, decent but not great drinks. Good for going out with friends to dance, not the right place for conversations. Came with a friend and we were gonna go for the small punch bowl (recommended for 2-3 people). Bartender told us even the small size was proven to be challenging for two to finish. We appreciated that tip and promptly switched to individual cocktails. My issues with cocktails on Oahu which isn't unique to Bevy, is that everything is made too sweet. I'm not a fan of sweet cocktails so I stick to the dry ones, but even the seemingly dry drinks (based on ingredients) come out pretty sweet. I haven't had many well balanced cocktails on the island and Bevy wasn't an exception. That said, I wasn't drinking whiskey this time around but I remember having a pretty decent old fashioned during my previous visit. Maybe the key is to stick to whiskey drinks here. read more

Low key casual hipster vibe in a trendy area with well crafted cocktails. Spent the week looking for a place where the young professionals would spend their time and this place fits it to a T. Walking distance to a few other cool bars nearby and will be coming back next time I'm in town! For my San Diego peeps, this is a very North Park like bar. For the LA folks this is Arts District with a Hawaiian climate. read more
We waited outside for them to call our name - person called us and closed the door to go back inside while we were behind him. We kind of expected him to Atleast leave the door open for us. + water was served right away + Cute Cups were chilled for the punch. - But they brought the cups first way before the punch so by the time the punch got to us the cups were already warm - our food came but no utensils. We had to ask for utensils. - Don't come here hungry and order a bunch of food. You will not have any space on your table. The corn on a cob was good but a little challenging to share. Did they expect one person to just eat it? We had to remove the kernels ourselves for everyone to share. The whole experience of ordering a lot with a small table and trying to take off the kernels of the corn was really uncomfortable. I felt like one of the dish was going to fall out of the table. + Lots of parking in the garage. + they all have masks on and practice social distancing - the waiter was confused with how we wanted to split the check and we ended up giving a LOT for his tip.. and of course he did not say anything. And we did not want to embarrass him and ask him for some of it back. So we tipped a lot for a service that wasn't as great. Don't know if I'll come back here again. What to try: Oysters, Brussels and Kusshi ( loaded fries) Ambient: Bar, expect it to be dark, loud and cold inside. Overall, Food was tasty, drinks were good and refreshing but service needs to be better. read more

Enjoyed this date with hubby. If I recall correctly, our waitress was Anita. She was soooo awesome and just so much fun! Loved her personality! We went during happy hour which ended at 7:00pm. Anita was able to get our orders in right before it ended. The chips and salsa, edamame, and the carne asada and chicken tacos were delish! The drinks were also very good. We had the cocktail of the day and the lavender mule. Many of them! Best of all, the music and vibe are on point for a chill atmosphere. We sat outside and just enjoyed the night. Great place. Loved the outdoor seating. $20 for 3 tacos may be a stretch, but whatever. Friendly service. My friends and I were seated after a little 5 minute wait. We had a great outside seating area. Like a private booth. We ordered and it wasn't a long wait. My fish tacos were ok. A little wet feeling to them. Could use a little more flavor. But lots of toppings and it was tasty. Didn't really taste the fish. read more
COVID review: Visited Bevy last night for their happy hour. They open at 5pm. Some sites I saw had them opening at 4pm. Maybe pre-covid? Now it is 5pm. Bevy has a really cool vibe to me. I feel like its a place you want to go to get a super fun mixed cocktail by some really cool guys. We were the first ones there and when we left at around 9pm, there were only 5 others in the restaurant. They have their tables nicely spaced apart for social distancing and all of the workers had their masks on the entire time. Drinks: I chose the happy hour prosecco, $7 ($10 non happy hour price) for a nice full glass and it was very tasty! My friend just got Corona and they were $5 each. ($6 non happy hour price) Food: We started with the Chips and salsa and guacamole. We couldn't decide if we wanted chips/salsa or chips/guacamole- No need to choose! Just get one of them and they will do a small upcharge and bring you a nice big bowl of both salsa and guacamole. ($10 happy hour price) We also got their "Ploughman" which is their charcuterie board. This board was VERY good. From truffle cheeses to the meat selections to their housemade pickles.. everything on the board was great. The best part is they give you a side plate of toasty garlic bread to go with it. Nice touch! ($24.00) For two of us, easily was our meal. Three people it is enough for a good size pupu for each one. I will say this.... the person next to us got their pasta dish and that..oh my... that smelled like heaven!!!! Our mouths were just watering. I definitely will try that the next time! Parking: This was the only UGH of the night. You would think that buildings would waive parking fees to try and get more people to visit the local retailers and restaurants, not so at Salt. With validation, it still was $9. I know there is street parking around the area but police are very strict with enforcing so you need to make sure you know when your meter will run out. I think street parking is 2 hours. Over all, great night spent with a great friend at a great place! I will be back! read more

Tried Bevy HH for the first time (5-7pm) and I really liked it! 5-7 is great for happy hour because you can go right after work and still make it! Food- Although a very small menu, I would be happy to get their happy hour tacos every time haha. I got 2 carnitas and 1 chicken, but definitely liked the chicken more! Also got the chips and salsa and chips and guac, and would recommend the guac more! Drinks- I got the moscow mule and it was nice and gingery! I think they make their own ginger beer? Idk. Cocktails on HH are $10. Shots are also $10, but idt those go on HH discount. Vibes- Very dark and moody! Parking- Park in SALT parking lot and get validation. First hour is free. read more
Came here for husband's birthday dinner and everything we got was soo good! If you are looking to try a few stiff cocktail concoctions, this is your place. They are very accommodating - I emailed them just an hour before arriving and they saved us an outdoor table. One of those places where you lose track of time because they have so many cocktail and food options to chose from and you want to try them all. Perfect to hang out with friends or your significant other. We tried a bunch of their cocktails from the craft section and enjoyed them all - Ananas, Absolut Elyx, Cup of Philz and Under the Alps. They were all strong yet balanced and not overly sweet which I appreciated. Get the grilled street corn, you will not be disappointed. It is topped with a generous amount of cheese and other spices and makes a perfect little bite. For dinner, husband got the steak and I got the smashed pea pasta - omg I wasn't expecting the pasta to be so flavorful. Al dente and not greasy. That pea puree and the roasted baby carrots were a great complement. Servers were fast to clear out any plates and glasses and last call for food and drinks was at 9:30 pm. Sadly my rating for this place took a plunge as I saw a huge cockroach (half alive) in the bathroom. As for the meal, I had the tropical bodega & it was nice. We had the Mahi Mahi tacos, but the tortilla came out soggy and was hard to eat. Unfortunately the tortilla was falling apart :( Definitely sad as I was looking forward to this the most. We got the chips & guac. I really liked the chips (thin + crispy) but the guac was not good. I don't think the avocados were super ripe and it was too heavy on the lemon. Also had the skirt steak and it was pretty tender and seasoned well. read more

Went with a few friends Saturday night. Menu options were about 80% Taco'ako items (establishment next door). Truffle fries were good, tacos were pretty good but hard to eat cause it was stuffed. The birria tacos were disappointing, did not taste remotely like a birria taco and the birria sauce wasn't the best too. Tacos were plated nicely and everything looks appetizing. read more
