Sunday May 17, 2026 We came here at 2:30pm. There was already 8 cars and trucks in the parking lot already. We went inside and there was a high middle table with 8 chairs. We sat there. Other than that the place was full. Service is friendly and fast. We ordered 2 151 shots and 2 Heineken Light beers to start. We waited to order food as the kitchen is at 4:00pm. That was fine. As we ate lunch earlier at 1:40pm to 2:05pm. Lol. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and chicken wings as we should order some food as we were drinking a little bit. Lol. 3 shots 151, 2 Heineken Light beers and 2 green teas each. Lol. The food was good. So, sorry I didn't post any food pictures. The bartender/waitress HOLLY was very friendly, attentive and more to everyone that was in the bar. ONLY 1 worker and she took care of everyone. That is really amazing to see. Most places it would take 3 workers doing what she did as we go to other places too. This place is lucky to have a hardworking, fast, attentive and more worker like her. We will be back as it has the feel of like a neighborhood bar where everyone seems to know each other. A nice and safe place to drink, eat, watch sports, hang out, shoot pool or play darts. An awesome local bar with friendly staff and and even friendlier customers. As with all local bars, Y's has their regulars - usually regulars tend to be a bit territorial, that is not evident here. We came to play darts and regulars that were preparing for a dart tournament were very helpful. The bartender was awesome. She was attentive, accommodating, and came to us immediately. when the kitchen was open and made sure our orders came out quickly - we were super hungry. All the food was awesome, but I have to say my personal favorite was the man doo - I ordered two more times and had to refrain from ordering a fourth. Come for the darts. Came here after dinner next door at Mr. Ojisan. Ordered some beer, shots and spam sandwiches. Friend wanted to play darts which is why we came here. Chill divey bar full of locals. I enjoyed the spam sandwich as soon as it came out but the second piece I had just wasn't as good. Definitely recommend eating it right away. During these crazy times of COVID-19, supporting a local business is more important than ever. I only discovered this place recently from a friend. They only have a small menu at the moment because everything is on a take-out basis but let me tell you the food here is good! One of the first dishes I tried here was the Ahi Katsu. If you look at the photo I posted the fish was cooked perfectly medium-rare. The breading was very light and crispy and the dikon ponzu sauce was a great match to the fish. This katsu is one of the best I ever had. I have also tried the braised pork belly and Mapo tofu. both excellent dishes also. Not the worst bar by any means but definitely a generic, no frills local watering hole. They did have a pretty clean 6' pool table that looked like locals from the neighborhood would get together to play on. There were a few guys that came in that all had their own pool cues in cases and knew one another. Probably a good time...for them. NO beers on tap and only your typical generic beers in bottles. Bartender was nice, I grabbed a Corona ($5) since I stopped in top check the place out. Just been wandering through all the bars in waking proximity to our new place to see what's out there for the wife and I. There were 2x TV's at the bar. They did have plexiglass dividers between every 2x seats at the bar for COVID. They've got bathrooms but didn't use them. Don't think I'll be back mainly because of the lack of beer on tap and for being too boring. I'd unfortunately rather drink at home and watch tv than pay to drink generic beer out of a bottle here. Unless I had a friend who wanted to shoot some pool. I don't think I've seen pool at any of the other bars in walking distance from our place now that I think about it. Came in for the first time last night after we finished work. Was only expecting to play 1 or 2 games of darts and have a couple drinks. We were greeted immediately by Holly (I hope I spelt her name right) and even asked us if we wanted to see the food menu before last call. Y's Sports Bar & Grill is my go to place for some ono late night grinds and if you love to play some darts and shoot some pool, this is the place to go. Located on S. King St, this place is somewhat of a dive bar considering how long this place has been open. I have to say that every time we come here, the service has always been on point and very friendly to say the least. Even when busy, our cute asian server who has been there for quite some time now is amazing at what she does. Also, the Korean Lady behind the bar is also very nice and always greets us every time we come here after a hard nights work and in need of an ice cold beer. At Y's, they do have a really nice Pupu selection and they do serve food till about 12:30 a.m which is great for people like us who work the swing shift. They have everything from Spam and Egg Sandwiches to Spicy Squid and even some Saimin if that tickles your fancy. But i have to tell you this, the ONE THING you have to order here is the Marinated Kalbi served with Onions on a Sizzling Platter. The Kalbi here is a long time family recipe and the Kalbi is so soft and tender and literally melts in your mouth. Make sure you get a side order of Rice when ordering this and it also comes with Kim Chee. Another dish i recommend ordering is the Smoked Pork. This is another dish that just hits home and is perfect with some ice cold beer. Also the Kim Chee Fried Rice is something that i would recommend ordering too. The only disappointment for me was The Fried Noodles. It looked very appealing to the eyes, but after eating it, there was just way too much Sesame Oil in it and it just killed the whole complexity of the dish. It was just Sesame Oil overkill if you ask me. I just love the homely feel of a dive bar where you can just relax and unwind and not have a worry in the world. As you look at the crowd here, you will not find any tourists here unless some local brings them here and there seems to be a lot of regulars here as they have Dart League's here and these are the times you kind of wanna stay away from the place because the parking is very limited here. But after 6 p.m there are a lot of parking along S. King St if the parking lot is full and you can also double park your car here if you dare. There is also Karaoke as well. They also have drink specials for everyday of the week, They have a decent beer selection but nothing on tap and they also have a decent selection of liquor as well. I guess there's a reason why these type of places are still open because locals like us never like to drink in Waikiki and coming to a place like this gives us this comfort zone that Waikiki doesn't and when service is this good why go anywhere else? Y's Sports Bar & Grill is a local sports bar on King St. There's limited parking, so double parking is a norm. Y's has a couple of dart machines and a pool table. They've got several booths and one long bar with plenty of seating. By the looks of things, Y's has a well-established group of regulars and bar junkies. I've seen several familiar bar-hopper faces there. My bf and I have gone to visit Jackie on early Friday evenings. She cooks up some MEEAANNN food. This past Friday that we went, we were fortunate to sample her lasagna and corned beef & cabbage. She so friendly and hospitable, so I can see why she has many regular customers. She brought us out a cute salad to start with, followed by the "main courses" AKA her lasagna and corned beef & cabbage. I was also given a piece of pie for dessert!!! Update - My last review was in 2012 and guess what? I still love this place. It's pretty interesting when I read the other review that are talking about bad service or workers giving attitude.....I guess I really shouldn't comment since I know them and am sort of a regular.....but the only times I've seen them give attitude is when the customer is being a bitch or dick. Just my 2 cents on that. Although....some of the workers do have that bitchy look haha (I'm going to get slapped next time) They recently redid the upholstery and painted. Looks the same haha but it is more comfortable. Food is still pretty good. Kalbi, spam and egg sandwich are still my go to's. Katsu is pretty good too. The Touch Tunes Juke Box is also fun....if you hear William Hung, don't blame me! Great bar and grill. Amazing and friendly atmosphere for anyone. Definitely worth going to if you haven't been there before.

Parking is very limited at their lot, but they allow to double park. Otherwise you'd have to find street meter parking, which they're many nearby. Drink prices is just like any other bar. They have a few selections of food, which is alright. I tried their fried noodle and egg rolls. The fried noodle is basically saimin noodles with spam and vegetables. And the egg rolls seem like the frozen ones you can buy at Sam's Club and just fry. Free karaoke. Also contains a pool table and a couple of dart boards, but can get pretty busy if their is a league. Ambitious and decor was really old school. More of an older crowd comes here. read more
