I really wanted to like this place since it's hard to find poke all the way out in St. Charles County. However, it did not meet my expectations. Let's start with the good parts. Fish quality was good and the ingredients looked fresh. It is also a great place to go when you want a fast casual quick meal that you can customize completely. However, many other things were wrong. First was the service. To be fair, there was actually nothing wrong with my interaction with the person behind the counter. However, I got to hear her yell at her colleague and nearly insulting a customer. Her colleague had asked whose order was still out and she repeatedly stated "the little girl that went outside" in a very demeaning tone. "The girl" was a woman who looked young-ish but seemed to still be an adult, maybe even in her 30s. Regardless, I feel that there are better ways to address your customers than "a little girl." Also, when a table (fully seated by customers with a baby) was found to be uneven, staff requested that customers get up and help hold it up in the middle of their meal, rather than offering them a different table and working on it on the side. Second, some of the items were missing from the order and the description of the toppings was misleading. "Sweet onion" topping became a heaping pile of raw spicy red onions and toppings requested such as pickled ginger, lotus root, and wonton chips were nowhere to be found. Also, there was so much ponzu sauce in the bowl that the last bit of my poke bowl was inedible due to how salty it was. Third, I had concerns about the food safety. I watched the staff cough while putting together a bowl without covering their mouth and fix a table that was uneven while wearing the same glove used for the food. Since one staff member was working on the order and had the issues that I noticed, I do hope that this is not a problem with the restaurant, but the single employee.

Great new spot! They offer a 3 scoop Protein bowl for $16.95 which I think is more than fair and is what we both got. Great portions, lots of sauce options, and tons of seating inside. I tried the house yummy, ponza sauce, and wasabi aioli. Loved them all! The yummy sauce is like what you get at hibachi grills. The wasabi aioli isn't spicy but was my favorite sauce. Tons of fresh veggies and fruits to add to your bowl. They also have some appetizers, ramen bowls and boba. Something for everyone! Definitely recommend; great fast casual spot.

A brand new poke spot in O'Fallon, near Hwy K & Feise Road, in a small shopping plaza. It's a smallish spot with shared parking. You can order at the self-serve kiosk or at the counter. I don't think the online ordering is active yet. If you order at the counter, they will give you a # and call it out when your order is ready, or if dining in, they bring your food to your table. It's nice that they have various Poké bowls, ramen, and some appetizers like buns, Gyoza, and shumai. They have signature poke bowls, and they also have create your own bowl. One thing that's different about them is that they offer soba noodles as a base, or rice or salad greens. I was happy to see that they have lotus as a topping. Protein offerings include various types of tuna, salmon, grilled chicken, shrimp, and even tofu. I was disappointed that they don't have masago. They have a long, high-top counter overlooking highway K with stools and several low-top tables that are half booth and half metal chairs that are seated close together. They have a unisex bathroom. The service was courteous and pretty quick for only being open a few days. They have a loyalty program available.

I realized one night that I've never had a poke bowl and needed to remedy it ASAP. I was glad to have options as I have a restrictive diet and being able to DIY it was convenient. I feel like I miss out on a lot of rice dishes these days, but I went for it anyway with a base of greens! Overall this was pretty good and was enough for me and my voracious teenage son to split. I will return again for the raw and rice choices when I can!

Delicious! Bowls are HUGE, definitely two meals. Restaurant was clean & quiet. Staff was friendly. And I love their to-go containers and reusable bags. Happy to have another healthy option in town.

This place was unbelievably good. Was not expecting that at all. Mildly makes up for kitaro closing down

The noodles are perfectly cooked, the toppings are fresh, and the portions are generous without feeling overdone. It's a small, cozy restaurant, so expect a wait during peak hours -- but trust me, it's worth it. The space feels intimate and authentic, which honestly adds to the charm. When we pulled up, there was a line but it moved quicker than we thought. Once we got inside, we were both surprised at how small it was. While I've yet to go to Japan, it def gives off the vibe strictly from ambiance and the decor. It's small but intimate and offers seats at the "bar", as well as communal seating. We didn't get a choice and were sat at the bar. Ordering is done through the QR code and water is offered self-serve. We split an order of the appetizers: house cucumbers and karaage. I'm not a huge cucumber fan but I tried it. I preferred the one with miso as I found it to be more subtle in taste. The chicken was average and didn't wow me. We each got the chicken shoyu with no pork, no scallions and an extra egg. It felt like it took a long time to get our food. We were both surprised once we got it as we were expecting actual chicken pieces but after rereading the menu description, it was chicken oil. He was a bit disappointed as both our dishes were covered in scallions. I suggested we not send it back since it took quite a while to get our food and they were close to closing. Nevertheless, I found the broth to be tasty and full of flavor despite there being no meat. Overall, it was a solid first visit.

I dropped in on a Saturday evening and ordered the **Shroomed Up** ramen, and it was a ramen masterclass in a bowl. The broth managed to be incredibly rich and deeply savory-sweet all at once, without ever feeling heavy. It was loaded with thick, substantial slabs of mushrooms, tender-cooked bok choy, and the noodles were the star of the show--thick and perfectly cooked to that ideal sweet spot where they aren't too chewy but have zero mushiness. Even with a line stretching out the door when we arrived, the wait wasn't tedious, and we reached the counter reasonably fast. The ordering process is standard counter service, but the staff member who took our order was incredibly nice, polite, and helpful, practically predicting my questions as I was looking over the menu. The same employee even brought our bowls out to us. The space was definitely crowded for a weekend night, but the seat-yourself setup worked out perfectly for the two of us; we still had three tables to choose from. The interior has a great energy with fun, East-Asian and Japanese-themed decor lining the walls. The Breakdown Food Quality: 5+/5 + Service: 4/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 Vibe: 4/5 Quality/Value: 4/5 **Pro Tip:** Don't let a Saturday evening line out the door scare you off! The counter service team moves people through the queue efficiently, and if you are dining in a small group of two, the table turnover is quick enough that you'll still easily find a spot to sit down.

Omg!! I am so glad I got on the trusty yelp app for some ramen! ;)…read more While out here I met up with one of my friends who was telling me their ramen out here is delicious. I picked the ramen spot based on reviews and the photos of the ramen. Ichiro Ramen stood out from the rest. This spot is about 40 mins outside of St. Louis and it was well worth the drive. It's located in a strip mall next door to a grocery store. The restaurant itself is small, yet does have plenty of seating to dine in. We were greeted and immediately sat down. We were asked if we wanted a table or booth. I ordered the Tonkotsu ramen, my friend ordered the seafood ramen extra extra spicy and mg other friend ordered the chicken fried rice since she's not a big fan of Ramen. The waitress brings out our food one at a time and the food looks and smells amazing. I taste my broth and it is chef's kiss all I did was add some hot chili oil for extra flavor and kick. My friend's seafood ramen looked so good snd you can tell hers was super spicy because how rich and deep the color red her broth was and she added a lot of hot chili oil to hers since she loves spice. My friend's chicken fried rice didn't look aesthetically appetizing, but she's said it was tasty. Ichiro is definitely up there as one of the best ramen spots I've been to, it's pretty close next to my favorite ramen spot is Sacramento, Ca Soku Ramen and they speaks volumes.
