I personally really like the lunch sets, which i think are a good deal and taste pretty good. i also think they do bread really well here, so keep that in mind if you order some dishes with curry the only thing i would advise these guys is to serve the salad for the lunch set on the side. there is way too much water in the greens, and it tends to make the rice and the curry watery. on the other hand of things, the heat from the curry and the rice sort of 'cook' the greens, which really changes the taste of the greens themselves (worse). serving it on the side would solve both problems

We sat outside in an area that seems like the place where you'd pull up and unload your luggage at a hotel. A member of our group says she once attended some sort of Xmas pop-up in the basement here where you were charged a cover and then expected to pay for drinks and pizza, so... uh, caveat emptor. We ordered at the little bar up front, but I'm not sure if that's also the case if you dine inside. These places always flip out when there's umpteen different people ordering separately, because they only have but so many of those numbers you set on the table so they know where to bring your food. It ended up not being an issue with us, because who else was going to engage in al fresco dining during a heat advisory? This place serves pizza, but it didn't look that good in the few photos I saw. Granted, food often looks like crap in Yelp photos. Also, there's an emphasis on '90s-style health food, organic ingredients and what have you. It has, among other things, dill Havarti cheese (whatever that is), avocado, and of course, bacon. It's served on a wheat bun, which, whatever. Its name is not a tribute to Scott Adams, as far as I know, but this is Ballwin. The Dill-bert did not disappoint. No Diddy. The beef comes from one of those special farms where the cows are all given names as if they were human beings, groomed on a daily basis by trafficking victims and read bedtime stories, and you really can taste the difference. It's a better quality meat. It's also expertly prepared. It's well-seasoned and cooked until it develops a nice char on the exterior. It was a bit more done on the inside than I require, but that may have been unavoidable. For a side, there was an option of tater tots cooked in an air fryer, like if your mom was feeling lazy. I didn't see any french fries, but maybe I'm going blind. I ordered a side salad, which is my thing these days. Sometimes they're surprisingly good, and a french fry is a french fry, unless you're at McDonald's. This one was pretty good, but it was definitely on the health-food side of things--very fresh and lightly but sufficiently dressed with something citrus-y and not too oily. Oh, and I was duped into purchasing a whiskey sour slushie. It just seemed like it would be so refreshing. It must have cost nearly as much as my meal, given what my bill came out to. They must think I'm a sucker. Did they receive advance notice of my visit? It did kinda hit the spot, and I probably got drunker than I would have otherwise, because I was suffering from a minor heatstroke, so there was that.

We frequent for date night and don't veer far from the Chicken Gnocchi appetizer, Spinach Salad, Chicken Penne, Shrimp Risotto, and Filet. Their Scallops dish is good here too that comes with Saffron Orzo. They will bring out delicious bread and Baba Ghanoush at the beginning of your meal. I could make a meal just out of the Baba Ghanoush it is addicting! The Chicken Gnocchi is an appetizer but could easily be an entrée. The chocolate soufflé dessert takes about 30 minutes so be sure to tell your server ahead of time if you have something sweet in mind. The Buttercake dessert is good as well but super rich. We went for dinner last night and could tell something was off with both the Front-of-House and Kitchen. Lights on higher than normal, staff members appeared a bit frantic including the host, and the food did not visually look how it normally comes out nor did it taste exactly right. Some things oversalted. I don't want to rate 4 stars instead based on yesterday's experience since overall we've had a 5 star experience the past years coming here but this night specifically felt subpar. They may be going through a staffing shortage which is tough and we understand.

They have a good sized parking lot and it was easy to find a close spot. First, a big thank you to the manager for setting us up in the private dining room. That really made our dinner so incredibly special. I would really like to bring a group here to enjoy that space. Our server was Alex and she kept our wine glasses full and the plates of food coming. Our meal was paced well. She took very good care of us. Our friend ordered the mezze plate which included pita points, crackers, whole rainbow carrots, and celery with three dips that included whipped feta, hummus, and a red pepper hummus. They also brought out their delicious fresh bread with baba ghanoush. The bread is so perfect that it doesn't even need any type of spread. I ordered the side spinach salad, which was a refreshing way to start my meal. I decided on the five cheese pizza with olive oil and it was very good and very rich. I was only able to eat two slices. My dining companions ordered pizza and pasta dishes. Everyone was very happy with their meal. I concluded my meal with a phyllo wrapped brownie that came with chocolate sauce, fresh raspberries, and cream. It basically looks like a brownie burrito. It's quite decadent and I enjoyed it. We had a reservation and were seated almost immediately. The interior has a dark steakhouse feel with a lot of wood materials and the edges of whiskey barrels on the wall as decoration. A great environment to unwind, have a drink, and fully enjoy the meal. The food itself was exactly as ordered; a medium-rare ribeye with creamy risotto and broccolini. I don't frequent steakhouses very often, so I may or may not be back for that reason alone. It did make for a pleasant and memorable birthday dinner!
