It is like an actually takoyaki that I used to eat when I was younger. The only critic I'd like to add is the lack of kewpie mayo drizzled on top + it looked deep fried, but I'm ok with it since I have some at home. I decided to come by the place since I'd like to order more and save money from DoorDash. The restaurant looks clean and aesthetically pleasing. It was dim, but in a good way. The workers there are extremely friendly and acknowledges you, even if you've already been served. I only ate the takoyaki, so I can't say much about the sushi. I wish they have Japanese curry with katsu in their menu, but that's ok with me!

Ninja does have gluten-free soy sauce, but you'll likely not want much soy sauce because you won't want it hiding the great flavors of Ninja's sushi. Tonight we enjoyed a variety of rolls, most chef's choice: - Kimi roll - Philly roll - Sumo roll - Salmon avocado - Dynamite (no crunch) - two... not one, but two Golden Dragon rolls... with curved slices of mango on top and a fantastic mango sauce Our waitress was intent to find a gluten free sauce for us and provided a combo sauce - half pink / half darker color (unsure the actual flavor but it was good). Before tonight, we have known that Ninja has the cook-at-your-table hibachi grill but we've only ever enjoyed their sushi. Tonight... I ventured to their hot food. I didn't have much to eat earlier in the day, so I ordered a side of shrimp fried rice and I'm very glad I did... great flavors egg and onions, and fantastic rice unto itself. Thank you, Nan

The clear soup was very good. The salad with ginger dressing was excellent. The chicken lomein was great too. The price was very good. There is plenty of parking in this strip mall. I love the atmosphere. I would love to come back for dinner.

Multiple rolls - salmon avocado, California, Asparagus, spicy tuna, crunchy roll and dynamite roll... all wonderful and on the all-you-can-eat menu. And for one of the first times we ordered a roll that is on the regular menu; it's our wedding anniversary so we ordered a Forever Roll - king crab (real not imitation), tuna, jalapeños, wonderful sauce... and since we're gluten free (gf), Lan had the chefs not put on the crunchy toppings - this was great! We love the green tea ice cream and, in honor of our anniversary, Kevin brought desert of the green tea ice cream and a slice of the most wonderful chocolate cake... you outdid yourself again, Kevin - THANK YOU!!! If we could award 7 stars to Kabuki, we would!!!

We just got takeout from Kabuki Thai & Sushi, and overall, we were pretty impressed! This…read morerestaurant is located only a couple miles from our new house, and we are suckers for Asian cuisine. We placed a takeout order and it was ready in 15 minutes. The staff were super friendly when I came to pick it up, even cracking jokes about me misspelling the pickup name. The Pad Thai was delicious. It definitely leaned on the sweeter side, which may not be for everyone, but we really enjoyed it. The chicken was especially good--it tasted super fresh and like actual, good-quality chicken rather than the bland or processed-tasting chicken you sometimes get with takeout. The hibachi steak & chicken was phenomenal. The meat was so tender and had a really nice flavor. The sauce was sweet, but thankfully not cloying or overly heavy. This was probably our favorite thing we ordered and something we'd absolutely get again. The appetizer sampler was probably the weakest part of the meal. The crab Rangoon and chicken satay were both pretty dry and could have used a little more moisture. That said, the shrimp roll was super tasty and made up for some of the disappointment with the other appetizers. Overall, Kabuki Thai & Sushi was a good experience. It wasn't perfect, but the main dishes were really enjoyable and the portions were big. There was enough that we liked that we'd likely order from here again. 7.5/10

We went this past week for my husband's birthday, and we had a wonderful experience. We were welcomed immediately upon arrival and sat. We ordered our drinks and received them quickly and then began to review the menu and try to pick out our favorites. My husband and I always go for the edamame as well as crab rangoon because why not? We each ordered a few rolls and all the flavors were fantastic, the presentation was beautiful, and the whole experience itself was perfect. Definitely would go back to this location and highly recommend others to go as well. Order the edamame with the addition of spicy & garlic - does not disappoint. I loved the Manhattan Roll, perfect blend of flavors and slight heat. My husband really enjoyed the Alaska and Fried Philly Roll. Service was top notch, much larger location than St Charles and there are options for lunch, happy hour and specialty items for all kinds of occasions.

The Crab Rangoon was excessively chewy and mushy, suggesting it had been reheated. Each sushi roll we tried seemed stale, especially the Fried Philly Roll. Bleck. The Chicken Hibachi was okay, but the sauce was watery and lacked depth of flavor. Additionally, the fried rice was giving Trader Joe's vibes, but tasted even less appealing. The Miso Soup was the ONLY item that stood out positively. It was pretty good, but how can you mess up Miso Soup? Lol. Considering the price paid, the overall experience was cruddy... and we have no intention of ordering from this establishment again. Sad because I love supporting local businesses, and we live a mile away!!

I just made the mistake of going back on my lunch break today because it is close and I was short on time. When I told the lady I wanted fried rice, but to go, she took the menu out of my hand while I was still looking at it and walked away swiftly. When I got back to work and opened the so called fried rice, it was very disappointing! It was basically white rice with boiled chicken and a couple other pieces of pale meat. There was nothing fried about it, loosely packed, and completely flavorless. I added the 2 packets of soy sauce, hot pepper to try to spice it up, but that wasn't enough. The resteraunt appeared to be clean as far as I could tell. The employees/owners don't look up from their phone or offer any sort of greeting when you walk in. The only one moving around was the rude lady. I will not be going back here, nor recommend this place. Yesterday I ordered online for pick up at 4:55 pm and set it for pick up ASAP. The order said that…read moreit would be ready in 175 minutes (around 7:45 pm). I thought this was a mistake because that's insanely long for the 2 rolls. I went in person around 6:45 pm to ask about the order. And the waitress didn't even try to look into it and dismissed my concerns. I understand that they are busy and it was a happy hour night (Tuesday night). But all the meantime between 6:45 - 8:15 pm, I saw new groups waiting for a table, and then they got a table, ordered, and by the time I got my order 8:15pm, those groups left the restaurant. So, I don't understand how I was ordering only 2 rolls to go at 4:55pm and wasn't able to get the order for 175 minutes? I have dined in at Wasabi in Clayton before during my college days (2014 - 2018), and my expectation was that all the Wasabi would be just as good still. But, I guess it's been awhile since I've gone to a Wasabi location and looking at a lot of the latest reviews at this location, I do not think I will be back. Disclaimer too: this was my first time ordering online at this location, so if this was the norm, then I don't think it's worth the wait. I even thought about dining in to get seated last night because they definitely prioritize the people dining in, but I saw other low reviews while I was waiting and then made up my mind of not coming back. There were four waitresses and looked to be only two chefs in the back. But, I still think it was unfair that I saw people get seated, eat, then leave all during the time that I was waiting for 2 rolls. As for food: I ordered the Alaska and Mango roll for $7 each. And the rice was not great and the Alaska roll was not even worth it. I hate that I have to leave a poor review, but I think last night's ordeal was not ideal for future visits. I wish I had looked into the reviews before heading there.
