Had lunch with a friend. My first time here, and her first time at the new location in the former Culpeppers site. The outside looks welcoming with great signage. Inside, you're greeted with a handwritten sign telling you not to stay longer than two hours. (See photo.) This seems like an issue staff could deal with in a more tactful way. My friend had a large order that looked amazing. She planned to take leftovers home. I ordered just one thing, but it was delicious. The crunch on top added the perfect texture to the rolls. I'll be going back and trying more things. By the way, we stayed more than two hours chatting. No one said anything to us, but there were plenty of empty tables so it wasn't an issue. read more

This place never disappoints!! The food is fantastic. The service is friendly. The AYCE is worth the price. One of our favorite spots in town. Just tried the cranberry salmon roll....one of the best sushi rolls I have ever eaten, definitely worth a try!!! We had the American dream, California, pop up, rainbow, spicy tuna, spider, St. Louis, and wasabi crunch rolls as well as the crab Rangoon and chicken skewers appetizers. These were some of the best crab Rangoon I've had from a local spot in a while and the chicken skewers were also surprisingly good! My favorite rolls were the pop-up and wasabi crunch (I liked the crunch so much I ended up back here the same week to get another!). The waitstaff is super friendly and accommodating. Love GLUTEN FREE options and they were able to accommodate well with tamari instead of soy sauce and service with choosing gluten free rolls. i am unsure about cross contamination for people with celiac. overall impressed with the taste and quality of the sushi as well as timeliness! The price of our lunch was around $35 because it was $15 per person for their lunch AYCE. That alone was a great reason to try this spot out BUT it comes with a price! Their soda machine was unfortunately down, so we opted for just waters which sucked. The options were limited, and the quality was just OKAY. The St. Louis roll though was pretty good and my favorite. I was surprised they did not have any Yellowtail (hamachi) which is my favorite fish. I eat at the restaurant often. I line the sushi, price and service. I went on a Sunday and had my first frustrating visit. The young couple next to us had a child about 4 and a baby. They proceeded to let their older child watch videos on his iPad without headphones. It was not a pleasant meal. If the child had headphones it would have been a pleasant meal. I would like the employees to step in and ask nicely for the iPad to be turned off or to use headphones. read more

This is one of our favorite restaurants. The staff is wonderful, friendly, and checks with us often. Tonight our server was Erica. She could not have done her job any better. The food, as always, was wonderful. I had General Tso, and my wife had Udon noodles. Both dishes could not have been prepared any better. I also had the Gyoza dumplings. I am 77 years old, and have eaten at many Asian restaurants. These dumplings are the best I have ever tasted. The servings were plentiful, as we brought 1/2 of our dinner home. Sushi Ai is great value if you are looking for an AYCE sushi spot. The ordering process is easy, and the dinner menu comes with a lot of different options for rolls and appetizers. My favorites were the St. Louis and Volcano roll. The sweet honey cream cheese was unique and a good touch to the dish. However, the one bad part about the meal was all of the fried dishes or parts of a roll came out soggy. Next time, I would avoid getting anything fried and stick to other options. Besides that, everything was delicious. Furthermore, the restaurant was very clean and not too busy for a Sunday night dinner. We always come here and typically order online. For some reason, we just love this place for our comfort food, and they never disappoint. We typically order the chicken, fried rice and edamame's. I have had their Gerald towels, chicken and orange chicken a number of times and it was always fairly good this time however, when the waitress brought the jaw tall ticket to me, I said it could use a little bit more sauce. Could you bring me out a little more because it was a bit skimpy compared to what I've had in the past, she came back a few minutes later and said I will have to charge you four dollars if you want more and I said forget about it and I went on to tell the manager before I left that the four of us will never be back there again in my if something restaurants always I repeat always go out of their way to make small corrections to make sure that there is consistency and that the food is as it should be, it would've probably cost them $.50 to bring me out a third of a cup more but for that they've lost and many of dollars going bad judgment on their part also to finalize this time the iceberg was mushy. The Jalapeno roll was my favorite! They had a good mix of raw and cooked rolls. They do not have many non-sushi options on the AYCE. The food is always excellent here. I love the atmosphere. It's relaxing and fun! However, I just went in Saturday 8/25. I saw a customer come in with their dog. I couldn't believe it was aloud in the restaurant. I think this is unsanitary as dogs can shed, also some people could be allergic. I'm so disappointed. I love dogs and I guess if it was a service animal that may warrant an exception but this clearly was someone's pet.
