Andrew was the server took my drink order and food order after that never seen him again until it was time to pay. I ordered an alcoholic beverage and was not offered water nor given water or even had the chance to ask for it as the server literally disappeared the entire night several of us at the table noticed the table next to us server was very attentive asking them if they needed or wanted refills or needed anything else we seen her several times through yet the night . He gave me my check and a water which at that point I was leaving and did not need it anymore

A year later and Kyoto still gets 5 stars from me! This is our new New Year's Eve tradition and for good reason. We only waited about 10 minutes to get sat and got a drink while we were waiting. Service was great, the chef had a great personality and kept us entertained. My shrimp habachi was delicious and I love the salad dressing. I can't get over how reasonable the price is for how much food you get. I want to come more often and plan on it!

Today we went out to celebrate a birthday! They struggled to get our drink orders correct but the atmosphere overwhelmed any disappointments. The hibachi chef was fun and had someone come celebrate the birthday with a dragon head! The food was the best part. Flavorful and hot, and lots of leftovers!

Got in right away and 1/2 hr before 2pm close on Valentine's Day. Sat by ourselves. Saki, shrimp and steak great. Nice atmosphere, would've been so much more fun to have several more people at our table.

Upon entry, the savory smells of soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and onion waft through the air. A large Taiko looming in the entry way, gives the atmosphere of what one might assume is a food festival. I was swiftly greeted by a young man, and asked about seating options, hibachi or dining, I chose dining as the hibachi was crowded with families visiting for the holidays. A sushi bar was also observed near the entry, with no one seated in the area. A friendly waitress came around and asked for drink orders and took appetizers orders, I ordered karaage, and clear soup. I was honestly somewhat confused when asked if I wanted chicken wing karaage. Upon receiving the karaage was clarity, the provided karaage was, in fact, a traditional fried chicken wing, using the standard fried potato starch that karaage is known for, rather than small cutlets of chicken, pork, or fish. I was surprised that along with the karaage, was ranch, a first for me in dipping sauce with karaage, instead of ponzu or kewpie. The flavors were typical for fried chicken, with less soy flavor than one would expect from a karaage marinade. The clear soup was somewhat overpowering in fried onion flavor, a strong fried onion flavor came over the top of the meat broth. I also ordered tori katsu and sesame chicken with steamed rice and fried rice. The tori katsu came served on a bed of lettuce and tomato, using lettuce instead of shredded cabbage, led the panko on the bottom of the katsu to become soggy, the flavors were average for a chicken cutlet and the katsu sauce was too sweet, either too much ketchup or too much brown sugar, hard to tell. The sesame chicken was rather sweet, and had almost no sesame flavor, and the breading was extra soggy. The steamed rice was average, an unseasoned medium grain. The fried rice on the other hand was the star of the meal. Tons of rich shoyu flavor, along with that delicious smokey sesame hibachi oil flavor, fried eggs, and light and airy onions sprinkled in. Respectfully, this restaurant may be a treat for some, and I respect this restaurant and it's staff are serving a midwest suburbs palate, however my overall experience was barely meeting average expectations for the cuisine, if I recommend anything here, it's the fried rice.

Out of all of the hibachi restaurants in Saint Charles County, this one is by far our favorite. They really helped get us through lockdown with their curbside pick up. Our orders were always correct, cooked perfectly and we're generous portions. They easily accommodate special orders such as double salad instead of soup and salad, double veggies instead of rice, and providing extra sauces. When dining inside, the chefs are always very nice and entertaining. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait, but that's to be expected so just order a drink and some sushi or apps & sit back and relax - put down your phone and enjoy the screen-free time with your family and friends while you wait! LOL! The food is really good here!

We came in on a Sunday evening about 7 PM and only had to wait about 10 minutes before we were seated. My daughter fell in the parking lot and they were very kind to check on her and make sure she was okay, giving her a handful of bandaids as well. The best deal is to split an entree! You get just as much food as you would buying two entrees. The only thing is only one person gets the soup and salad not both. But it's half the price! Great value, I'm glad they have this. The server was very kind. The only reason for the four star is because they initially forgot our appetizer and we never got drink refills. The server never came back once the chef started until about 5 minutes after he finished. So we had no service during the time the chef was cooking. We received our appetizer halfway through our meal from a food runner. The server also made sure to sing Happy Birthday to our daughter and danced with her.

Food was fantastic. Rice, veggies and shrimp are all better than other local hibachi places. The miso soup was not my favorite though. The service was quick and our chef was friendly as well as entertaining. Very good will be returning.

I have to add an update after my last visit last week. Friend and I went to celebrate her birthday and we both wanted teppanyaki. I am currently eating gluten free and have been avoiding restaurants because of it... I called ahead to ask if they had GF offerings and they said just tell the server. When our server took our orders I advised I was gluten free but would like the teppanyaki if they could do it. He advised, yes they had gluten free soy sauce and would cook my plate in the back so it would not be exposed to the gluten. I ordered the combo with chicken and shrimp. He then came back and advised that the onion soup had gluten but offered double salad if I wanted and advised that because the noodles were gluten I would have double rice on my plate. He brought my salad from the back with everyone else's and then brought my plate out right when the chef was starting to serve everyone else their rice. He even brought me a side of gluten free soy sauce and a special sweet and spicy sauce the chef in the back made! The GF version of the meal didn't taste any different from when I've had the regular version in the past (if your eating GF you know thats a plus). Let me tell you, he made the experience so wonderful for me! I didn't feel like I was being needy or over the top and I still had delicious food!

Food is not so great. Too salty and very Chinese style rather than Japanese.

Omg!! I am so glad I got on the trusty yelp app for some ramen! ;)…read more While out here I met up with one of my friends who was telling me their ramen out here is delicious. I picked the ramen spot based on reviews and the photos of the ramen. Ichiro Ramen stood out from the rest. This spot is about 40 mins outside of St. Louis and it was well worth the drive. It's located in a strip mall next door to a grocery store. The restaurant itself is small, yet does have plenty of seating to dine in. We were greeted and immediately sat down. We were asked if we wanted a table or booth. I ordered the Tonkotsu ramen, my friend ordered the seafood ramen extra extra spicy and mg other friend ordered the chicken fried rice since she's not a big fan of Ramen. The waitress brings out our food one at a time and the food looks and smells amazing. I taste my broth and it is chef's kiss all I did was add some hot chili oil for extra flavor and kick. My friend's seafood ramen looked so good snd you can tell hers was super spicy because how rich and deep the color red her broth was and she added a lot of hot chili oil to hers since she loves spice. My friend's chicken fried rice didn't look aesthetically appetizing, but she's said it was tasty. Ichiro is definitely up there as one of the best ramen spots I've been to, it's pretty close next to my favorite ramen spot is Sacramento, Ca Soku Ramen and they speaks volumes.

I had to ask several times for things like napkins, silverware, etc., and the server would say "OK" and then never brought them. I finally got up and went to the server station and got it myself. They try to fill the seating in the grill area so you may have to wait once you're seated for more people to be seated. They like to have all eight seats filled. They first brought out a hot soup and it was not me so but some type of beef broth. I don't eat beef products so I can't comment. Then they serve you a small green lettuce salad with ginger dressing. It was subpar. Our chef came out and started preparing our food. If you have allergies, be aware they make everything together on one grill. The chef was personable and tried to entertain us with all the usual grill tricks. The teriyaki salmon was average. I really wanted to like this place, especially since it was my birthday, but I was quite disappointed.

While i was debating a 2nd bite, i found a long hair. I stopped at 1 bite but really, for the best. The miso soup only tasted of salt and maybe Campbell's? Very mass produced, salty. I did take 2 "bites" of that. The hibachi looked good cooking but the fried rice was so oily. The vegetables very bland - maybe my tastebuds were dulled by the miso. The scallops were decent. The shrimp were fine. The filet was ok but I'm not really sure it was filet and not sirloin. I passed on the yum sauce- i don't find it yummy anywhere. I got ginger sauce which was decent. The Teriyaki was briwn syrup - so sugary sweet with little other taste. I took leftovers, mostly rice and steak, but just shared the steak with my dog and ditched the leftover greasy rice. Overall, just disappointing. My dining companions were nonplussed as well.

We wanted sushi so we were by the sushi bar. Japanese cuisine is supposed to be about presentation and flavor. This was neither. The tempura was warm, but it lack the light fluffiness. My sashimi was somewhat arranged in a plastic tray. The only thing that barely passed was rainbow roll. Note: I did try asking for something else for my tempura. The waitress brought me mustard base sauce.. maybe from the hibachi side. What ever happen to classic tentsuyu sauce made with dashi, mirin, soy sauce, and grated daikon. Its tempura... not chicken nuggets. Hubby had the salmon lover and 2 white fish nigiri. The bill came out to be $85... and was an experience i rather forget. Upside, neither of us got food poisoning. Needless to say, I won't be back. Thr food was not worth the calories or thr money.
