Clean dinning room. Quick greeting and seating. Just as fast order to service time. We started with the Crispy Cheese Rolls. Just as creamy and crispy as a Crab Rangoon, but eats more savory. Then we had the Goi Cuon Rice Paper Fresh Rolls. I only wish there was a heavier greens (cilantro and basil) presence (personal preference). For the entrees we had the 2 Protein Pho with Rare Beef and Meatballs and Chicken Thai Fried Rice. The rice needed just a bit of soy sauce to bring out the flavors perfectly. The pho had a generous meat and noodle portion. The only thing that would have made it better was a more generous greens plate (basil, cilantro, and lime specifically), again just to add for personal preference. Will visit again just based on the Crispy Cheese Rolls and Pho.

I tried a new spot for lunch and so should you! It was not busy for lunch service like I've seen before so I thought it would be a good time to try. The very nice lady sat and took my drink order promptly. I had a chance to look over the huge menu and it was hard to narrow down exactly what I was in the mood for. They do offer a pretty good beer selection as well. Appetizer was out in 5-6 mins and the soup was 8-10 after. This place definitely crosses my 3 T's. Time waited was almost none, talented team , and tasty food.

Service is very good. Food was very good. Be careful with how spicy you order the food!

This is my go to Thai spot in Saint Charles. For over 6 years it is consistently been the best. The rare beef pho is my favorite but they also have excellent Pad Thai, Pad Woon Sen, Pad See Ew, fresh spring rolls, and crab Rangoons. Amazing owners and a clean kitchen. Plus they give you a discount if you pay with cash. Support your local businesses!!

Let me add a disclaimer and say I have not had Thai in years. I love spicy food and was hoping this was cure my something different palette. The service was nice and the atmosphere was okay for a neighborhood stop. I may have to try one more dish as I know this does may make a difference at times. I ordered the thai chicken to go.

The restaurant itself is cozy and simple, but don't let the size fool you--this place is focused on serving very good food. The highlight of the visit was the soup dumplings, which arrived in a bamboo steamer basket. The dumplings were tender and delicate, and each one was filled with rich consommé (soup) and flavorful meat. When you bite into them, be careful because the dumplings are full of hot broth that bursts out. The soup inside was packed with flavor and made the dumplings stand out. The sandwiches were also excellent. Whether you choose the pork or the beef, the bread was perfectly crunchy and the meat inside was very flavorful. It made for a great balance of texture with the crispy bread and tender meat. Another dish that really stood out was the mashed cucumber salad with hot pepper oil. It was fresh, slightly spicy, and very refreshing alongside the dumplings and sandwiches. Overall, Fan's Soup Dumplings feels like a hidden gem in St. Charles. It's a small restaurant that focuses on doing a few dishes very well, and the quality of the food really shows. Overall: A small but very good restaurant serving authentic soup dumplings, excellent sandwiches, and flavorful sides. If you are in St. Charles and enjoy dumplings or Asian cuisine, it is definitely worth a visit.

They had some calming music playing and the dining area was clean and serene, as I remembered from before. I placed my order at the register and took notice the large kitchen window which could allow you to watch them handmake your dumplings if you so chose--that's right, everything is made by hand, IN HOUSE! Soup dumplings are their specialty, which I tried in the past--they are delicious, and I don't know of many places that offer them in the STL/St Charles areas. That said, I tried the chili oil wontons and shrimp dumplings this time. I could probably skip the shrimp next visit, but the chili oil wontons are TO DIE FOR. DO NOT SKIP THEM!! I chose pork as my filling, but they offer beef and chicken as well. For a VERY reasonable price, you get enough in one order to easily have a pretty solid lunch. They are tender and the filling ratio is spot on. The chili oil broth could stand on its own, in my opinion. It isn't overly spicy, but they offer chili crisp at your table, which I happily added to up my spice level. Do yourself a favor and try them, you won't be disappointed. I will continue to eat my way through their menu undoubtedly, but these will be a MUST for every single visit, in my book!

Everything I have had has been excellent. We throughly enjoyed the Szechuan Wontons- I like them fried better then steamed but both ways are good. Pot stickers were fairly standard but high quality. The lychee Martini is fruity but clean tasting. They have some of the best General Tso chicken I've ever had. The texture of the chicken and breading is perfect. Crispy but not overtly breaded and tender chicken. The sauce is addicting. The willing black pepper beef was savory and peppery exactly was I was looking for. The veggie fried rice has lots of veggies that are perfectly cooked not over done. My the Shaking Beef is beef tenderloin dish comes with a lime wine sauce is very unique and refreshing. The hot chili catfish I highly recommend. I don't know what I expected but it's tender and spicy and savory, I will probably order it every time I go, it's that good! The service is on point. They are friendly, attentive and the food is cooked very quickly. Another plus they are open late! A hard thing to find these days decent food that is open after 8pm is hard to come by. Thai Mukda is a little restaurant in a strip mall. It seats about 24 people. We walked in and a person behind the counter came out to seat us and give us menus. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, with around seven tables, giving it a cozy feel. I ordered the Pad See Ew with chicken. As part of the lunch special, it came with a small bowl of soup, crab rangoon, and a fried spring roll. Overall, the food tasted very good and was seasoned perfectly to my liking. The only downside was the crab rangoon--it didn't have much filling, possibly due to it leaking out during frying. Aside from that minor issue, everything else was enjoyable. I'll definitely be back to try another dish soon.

I received the order within 10 minutes, so quite quick service. While Viet Pho makes reasonable Vietnamese food facsimiles, it just a little off from being genuine. For example, the $15.50 Vermicelli Bun needed some mint leaves to make it more authentic. The pork wasn't exactly char grilled. The egg roll was a little too mushy. Though, they did include peanuts, onions, lettuce, carrots, sprouts and fish sauce. Overall, this dish tasted good despite the missing ingredients. 3.5 out of 5 stars. The $6.25 Spring Rolls x2 were reasonably authentic, but were rolled too loosely. Once bit into, most of the interior ingredients fell out, making it rather difficult to dip into the included sauce without the entire roll falling apart. Also, the authenticity of this sauce was odd. Instead of being a standard peanut sauce, it tasted like it was made with bananas and had an odd flavor profile. This appetizer tasted quite good despite these issues. 3 out of 5 stars also. The $8.25 three layer bean drink dessert is also a good facsimile, but misses the mark in some places. The red beans used should have been sweetened, but were not. The beans used in this drink were large red kidney beans when smaller sweet red beans are typically used in more authentic versions. These red beans even seemed salted. I'd have been fine with kidney beans if they had been sweetened. The bean, coconut, ice, and jelly flavor of the drink dessert was fine overall. 4 out of 5 stars. The meal was overall filling, but I've certainly had better. For the prices and the missed ingredients, it's just not authentic enough. I can't speak for their Pho soups, only these items above. Would I visit again? Yeah, but only if I had a strong craving for Bun. I will visit again and try their soups. Look for that updated review in the future.
