I have been going to this particular place and location for 6 years now! I cannot express how much I love this restaurant. I have tried other places and haven't really enjoyed them as much as I do this China King. This is the most delicious place ever! The portions are large and the everything tastes very fresh whether you pick it up or get it delivered. Though I have never eaten inside the restaurant is VERY clean! And the owners are extremely nice. May I add that it's family owned, every time I go it's the same very sweet couple and their children at the register. 12 years past my original review, and this place only got better after the ownership changed. The people who run it now are extremely friendly, the food is always on point. I don't eat the stuff I did then, opting for more seafood and low calorie dishes, and they do it all very well. Best Hot and Sour Soup around, they really load it with mushrooms, tofu and other vegetables, while other places serve soup with little to nothing in it, and its more flavorful as well. Price went up a couple buck in 12 years on the lunch special, but in this day and age around $8.50 with tax is a bargain for a delicious and filling lunch. read more

Pork fried rice and an egg roll were delivered quickly and hot for a pick-up order. Both were pretty average tasting. During COVID China King has no open dining room. In fact, there's no entry. The front door has been sealed off and converted to an order counter with a menu stuck to the side. Place your order at a sliding window in the door and it comes out a few minutes later. The beef with broccoli was awful. The beef was rubber like, broccoli barely cooked still very hard and my fried rice? The fried rice, I payed extra for, was disgusting. It's almost as if they put powdered yellow food coloring in it with a splash of plastic? The crab rangoons were all cream cheese and we had to ask for the red sweet sauce for them. The special curry rice noodle dish was the most edible. My partner and I had to fight for the bathroom the next couple days and have not been able to eat Chinese food since then, let alone even think about it. (It's been roughly 6 weeks) Avoid this place at all costs. $35 wasted and flushed down the toilet, if you know what I mean. read more

After driving past this place for the past few years, I decided to finally give it a try. A very large banner showed it was under new ownership and this intrigued me. I don't know what it was like beforehand but the new owners are doing a great job! They had fantastic customer service and even when there was a mistake with our order, they went above and beyond to fix it. One of the best parts are their side options. Instead of just your option of white or fried rice you can also get noodles which is a game changer in our family!! We will definitely be back. YUM. read more

The food was served in really small bowls and had plastic utensils so it wasn't the easiest to eat. The atmosphere felt somewhat clean. No one was there so that's usually a sign. I ordered 2 Hot and Spicy Chicken dinners and Sesame Chicken dinner from this restaurant tonight and the Spicy Chicken was so bad it was not edible that we ended up throwing it down the garbage disposal. The Sesame Chicken was way over cooked also. We haven't been to this restaurant for awhile and it's changed owners, so we thought we would give it a try. We usually go to 101 Asian. Boy we're we sorry we didn't go to 101! just want to give people a heads up. read more

When I'm in the mood for Chinese take out only one place comes to mind. China King. They gave a ton of items on their menu but one of my favorites is the General Tso Chicken. Always crispy, always tender, and always delicious. Make sure and always ask for a new take out menu because it has coupons on it. Bonus! It's my go to place so I'll be back often. read more

It's good for strip mall Chinese food and this is our usual pickup place. Staff is usually friendly. Takeouts are easy. Delivery is pretty quick if you live nearby. Their broccoli chicken and sweet and sour chicken are good. Their crab rangoon is really good too. Also no MSG. read more

3 out of 4 of the last times I ordered Delivery, there has been a money "error" they called me about that involved me driving up there to fix and I end up eating cold food. Everyone makes mistakes and everyone can have a bad day and I had been patient, cheerful & nice the first two times, but I am out of patience with it now. More to do with the attitude from the bearded guy who told me that if I did not like it, I did not have to come back. Wow. This place is highly underrated. The ingredients are fresh and the large sizes are perfect for the price. They are also fast and very friendly. We got the pork and Chinese vegetables and the crab Rangoon and the lo mein and the spicy shrimp with vegetables. All tasty with plenty of left overs and for $31 (pickup) in 15 minutes. I hate being first and rating it 1. I got the sesame chicken as it's the safest thing to test a place with. Obviously, there are other "typical" Chinese American dishes one can test with but this is my choice. I also got some Hot and Sour soup. It took a long time to come out. The Hot and Sour soup was tangy and lacked the hot and sour aspects. My first impression was: "this place has promise" since the mushrooms were super fresh, but then I put my spoon into the soup. The contents of the soup seemed to be in a gelatinous suspension. I felt like I was in Chemistry class. Not sure what the "broth" was made of but I took a few sips and then moved on. The sesame chicken.. wow the sesame chicken. For those of you that are Florida Gators or ACRs (Alachua County Residents) that remember Chinee Takee Outee, think of a worse version with.... you wont' believe it.. even more batter. There were a few pieces that were all batter. Other pieces were dark meat from somewhere in the chicken's physiology I have never experienced. I spat out numerous pieces much to the chagrin of my co-workers whom had to witness my feigned attempts at hiding it. Never going back unless the owners ping me and tell me to try again. I hope they do as I actually do hate lambasting establishments like this. read more

The hours of this place just seem to be whenever they feel like working. It is unfortunate, because I do think the food is good and well priced. Just random days when they should be 100% open, they won't answer their phone at all. Other than being closed at random times, they have no website or anything like that online. This day and age they should be up to date with that stuff, I once found a website that I thought was theirs, got some pricing for something, then when I called it in the price was way different, and when I asked about it, they said "we don't have anything online". Last thing I have to say, is the inside of their location is kind of disgusting. I would never eat my food in there hence why I always order pick up. Just simply repainting their walls, maybe updating the scenery a bit and the lighting, would do the trick. We love this place. The food is tasty and the crab Rangoon is the best around. Whenever we are running late or craving some Chinese we call them up and it's ready when we get there. The delivery service is good as well. Perfect for those nights you just don't feel like getting off the couch. read more

It has been about two years since I have eaten here. It looked as if it has been that long since they had wiped off their tables. The menu was sticky and dirty. So...I decided not to eat there.
