Inside seating for 24 at six tables.

Summary: A no frills Chinese spot with the standard menu and friendly service. When I walked in I was greeted by, "I haven't seen you before. Is this your first time here?" Well, it was. Then the reply, a hearty "Welcome." I just wanted a nosh and settled on wonton soup. It arrived hot--actually scalding hot. I set it aside to cook and grabbed something from the next door fast food place. I tried the soup later and it had excellent flavor, a large noodle, and a chunk of pork in each spoonful.

Sweet and Sour Chicken combination plate with an order of Crab Rangoon. This photo was after eating most of it, but you get the idea...

It's exactly what you are looking for. I'm not from the area but my kiddo wanted Chinese food. I searched through available options until I saw what I was looking for... a dated interior. It got better from there, no DoorDash or Grubhub affiliation, 98 food health score, & cash only too. Hong Kong Restaurant was exactly what we were looking for: traditional Americanized version of "Chinese food." Go with Hong Kong Restaurant and you won't be disappointed!

Best Chinese around for miles!!

I have to say I'm in the Navy and I travel all the time. During all those travels the only thing I crave is the food from this Chinese Restaurant. It was voted one of the best in the area a few years back. The two people that make this restaurant happen are two of the must friendliest people around. If you decide to come back they will must likely remember you and what you ordered before. I'm not going to lie I have been eating at this place for about 20 years now and can't see myself eating any one else's Chinese food. I think its the best in the world. I knew this because when ever I take some one here they all really like the food and come back for seconds. Hope you enjoy! PS they do not deliver or take Debt/Credit cards.

We were seated immediately, which we appreciated because we were tired and hungry. Since we already have our favorite dishes at Cate Zone, we knew exactly what to order as soon as our server came by. Our go‑to appetizer is always the beef tripe -- non‑spicy -- and it never disappoints. We always enjoy it with a bowl of rice, and the combination is incredibly comforting and flavorful. We also ordered the crisp shrimp with egg yolk, which is my 6‑year‑old son's absolute favorite. It's unbelievably tasty -- rich, crispy, and just out‑of‑this‑world good. For our last dish, we tried the crisp sautéed pork for the first time. This one didn't quite hit the mark for us. The flavor leaned sweet and salty with no spice, and it didn't have the same wow factor as the crisp shrimp we love so much. Still, it was worth trying something new. All our dishes came with a bowl of hot, steaming white rice, and everything arrived at our table in under 10 minutes -- their speed is impressive. The portions were generous, and we left completely full with leftovers to take home. Cate Zone continues to be one of our favorite spots, and experiences like this are exactly why we keep coming back.

The food is always really good, but I find the service to be lacking at times. Three times already,…read moreit has taken 15-20 minutes after seating to grab someone's attention long enough to even place my initial food order. So while I would like to leave a 5-star review for the food alone, I've had enough experiences struggling to order that it doesn't seem like a fluke. This location is more spacious than the one in UCity but the menus are the same. Food is delicious at both.

For two people, this is my go to order:…read more *Deep fried handmade tofu with special sauce (17.95) *Sautéed lamb with cumin (19.95) *Storm fish fillet (19.95) The lamb has enough of the "wetness" and vegetables to eat and mix with the rice. The lamb pieces used to be small but they are huge now! Appreciate the owners taking the feedback. I think they make the tofu in house. They are huge thick soft pieces with enough crispness on the outside. It's a good introduction to how seriously Chinese people take tofu and how in other countries they have a huge variety of tofu, vs the select few we have in the U.S. And I used to be partial to the spicy fried fish at cate zone, but chilispot has upgrade this dish a lot. It's perfectly crispy and hot!!! Even if you don't like fish, it's a great dish and also makes for great leftovers. I know the fried chicken is popular but I find the chicken pieces are too small. Even with two heavy eaters, we still have leftovers for another meal

We stopped at Chilispot for a family lunch and overall enjoyed our meal…read more The dumplings were a favorite at our table, while the spicy chicken was my personal standout. It was excellent and had just the right amount of heat. I also enjoyed the smoky ham fried rice, although it lacked the distinct smoky aroma I was expecting. Some of the other dishes didn't quite land for me. The fish soup wasn't my favorite, and the beef noodle soup wasn't especially memorable. The cumin lamb, however, was better than expected and ended up being one of the stronger dishes we ordered. That said, the service was friendly, the portions were generous, and there are plenty of interesting options on the menu. I'd definitely come back to try some different dishes next time.
