    Carrot Cake - Fabulous
    Sophia B.

Found this restaurant while visiting my Aunt. The great: The complimentary bread The side Salad $14 The roasted Cauliflower and asparagus included with my meal The Carrot Cake $16 Average: The Steak Medallions - they were a little chewy but cooked properly. Just expected more tender beef for the price. Augratin potatoes had a spice in it that was a little overpowering. The crab cake had a little fishy flavor. Our waitress Holly did a fantastic job taking care of us. The restaurant was clean and upscale. We would go back for tall the pros and try other items on the menu. They need to add the cauliflower to the everyday menu!

The first and only time I've been here was 3.5 years ago, so it's clear some things have changed. I came in a little closer to 5 and was able to snag a booth. My server was prompt and gave me water right away. I decided to try one of their featured cocktails "oh cherry" and got the steak frites with fries and a salad. After I ordered she brought out their famous rolls. They were just as soft and tasty as I remembered! After a short while she brought out my drink and salad. Unfortunately, both fell flat. The drink was a collection of juices with some vodka and while it seemed like a good idea at the time, it was anything but. The salad was just an average Caesar but the croutons were quite scrumptious! My streak frites came next and here's where they missed the mark. Mind you, I understand I asked for my fries well done, but I was surprised they couldn't have timed it better so at least my steak would be hot, too. It wasn't. It was lukewarm. It wasn't worth sending back, so I ate it. Overall, I'd say the highlight of my meal were the fries (spectacular, btw) and the complimentary biscuits. If the steak were hot, everything would have been perfect. Maybe they had an off night? Who knows. But I do know I like my steak hot. Better luck next time...

I hate having to leave this review but I've thought about it all night. For the cost, it deserves to be told. First, pros: We were there to celebrate a wedding anniversary and the staff left us a nice card, provided on the house prosecco for toasting and (my favorite part of the night) a gloriously decadent chocolate cake with a sweet candle. The waitress was amazing, sweet and attentive without being overbearing. We loved her. The cons: First, the bread rolls. This was our first time here and didn't know what to expect. My roll was RAW. At first I was confused, like is it supposed to be this way? My husband had one, it was ok. He bit into a second one however and said "this isn't fully cooked!" We compared it to mine and while mine was the most raw of the three his was also definitely not done. But, we decided, we aren't here for the rolls, we just want to celebrate. We let it go. We each ordered medium rare steaks. They both came out rare. I personally am fine with it and mine was actually bit more cooked than his so I kept it but his? Was so raw it was glowing blue. We sent it back, and when they came back he deemed it "fine," still not actually medium rare but at this point my food was cold. The sides were fine. The hyped steak rolls were good, but not amazing. Ambiance-wise I'd say it was just ok. We were in a weird small room off the the side where the overhead lights clashed with the smaller table ones. The vibe was just off. All in all, we won't be back. An almost $200 meal and so much of it was raw. Nope.

When I made my reservation, I wasn't aware the restaurant is a part of the Drury hotel, although it does have it's own entrance from outside of the hotel proper. Coming in on Chesterfield Center, you are driving past the back of the hotel buildings and there are no signs at the back indicating which buildings are which. If you drive past both buildings the road curves around and you can then see the Stoney River sign. Service here was excellent, as was the food. The complimentary rolls with whipped cinnamon butter are luscious! I had the steak egg rolls and the medallions with a crab cake. Real mashed potatoes, yum! A more upscale venue with prices to match, but you do get what you pay for!

Cousin brunch! Parking lot ample. Walking in building was dark and sultry . I loved it. Made it for my 1 pm reservation and was not crowded at all. Bar area nice size. Plenty of seating. Adele M . was our server, very attentive and helpful. My only complaint was not to long after we received our food we were repeatedly asked if we were ready for boxes to go , this was a bit nerve wrecking in my opinion. We settled on a Peach Bellini carafe . Shrimp and Grits , Red Velvet Waffle and chicken and Bacon , biscuits as well. This meal was just ok. Menu choices were limited and not a buffet as I originally thought and drink selection I was a bit disappointed with the flavors and choices . The ambiance of the restaurant does not match the selection of menu and variety in my opinion. Overall I'll give this experience an 5/10.

Had another amazing experience at Stoney River Steakhouse and Grill! I first came last year for a business dinner and loved the food, so I brought my husband back to celebrate our 10-year anniversary. I'm so happy to say they're still consistent and just as delicious. The food was outstanding--especially my steak. I ordered it medium, and they cooked it perfectly exactly how I asked. Even the complimentary bread was absolutely delicious! The highlight of our night was our server, Tate. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcomed. He checked on us at the perfect times, gave great recommendations, and truly helped make our anniversary dinner extra special. My husband loved everything, and we'll definitely be back!

We enjoyed a great date night here. The food and service was superb. I started with the lobster bisque- there was a good amount of lobster in the creamy silky bisque. My husband order a salad- he is not a salad person typically- but he inhaled it! We both got a little surf and turf- I got the lump crab on top and he opted for the crab cake- both we equally delicious. The baked potato was great- why do baked potatoes taste better at restaurants than at home?? My husband opted for their scalloped potatoes and was in food heaven!

NY Strip and a Lobster Tail...

While I am not a fan of hotel restaurants or restaurants in hotels, I will make an exception for this one as it was so good! I attended a company dinner here, so the bill was picked up, which always seems to make food taste better, but I must say, I was impressed with everything here. While it seems a bit fancy, there is no real dress code, however, the night I went, the customers were all dressed nicely, including our group. We were seated in the private dining room. I ordered a Dirty Martini, and I must say, it was one of the finest martinis I have ever had. Something one never forgets! We looked over the menu, and I ordered a Wedge Salad and a NY Strip with a Lobster Tail on the side. Our glorious leader, who is a wine connoisseur, ordered wine, and we were very impressed with the wine cellar here- some incredible wines at some great prices! My Wedge Salad was perfect, and my steak- excellent- and the lobster was tender and tasty- a nice surprise as they are awalys frozen and cooked until they're rubber. This one was excellent. Service was fantastic, very attentive without being ovebearing. I would love to come here with my wife, as it seems romantic as well!

    Coffee Filet with Mashed Potatoes

Don't mistake the Stoney with the stigma of a restaurant being attached to a hotel as this is a super nice place to eat! We were impressed with everything. The service was amazing as they take excellent care of you. The food was spectacular and the star of the show. Their bread mini rolls were some of the best rolls we have ever had. Warm, and almost tasted like a dessert they were soooo good. Plus, their coffee rubbed filets were showstoppers too. My wife got their chicken and said that it was quite possibly one of the best chicken dishes she has ever had. One small deal was that, I was not a huge fan of their mashed potatoes but after all that goodness, who minds as they were not horrible.

Management puts a lot of attention into quality of food, service, and the dining experience. One detail is the bread service and no corners are cut with delicious fresh baked bread and some type of spread that is delicious but I have no idea what it was. One reason the restaurant is so popular is the bar area where they cook the pizzas and prepare the drinks is very inviting and blends into the dining room which spills into the outdoor patio. Despite being near the highway, the view from a booth is not bad, with some rolling hills in the distance. The service was timely and attentive. We had a reservation and were seated almost immediately. The interior has a dark steakhouse feel with a lot of wood materials and the edges of whiskey barrels on the wall as decoration. Our server was very attentive and did a great job taking care of our group. The only hiccup during the visit was timing--we arrived shortly after a busload of guests, which slowed down the kitchen a bit and led to a longer wait for our food. That said, the service remained strong throughout. For lunch, I ordered the combo with a Green Apple Cashew salad and the 1/2 World Traveler Reuben, made with house-smoked turkey, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, Thai Thousand Island, and black Russian pumpernickel. Both the salad and sandwich really hit the spot--fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. This was my eighth visit over the past three years, and I can honestly say I've never had a bad meal here. Even with the slight delay this time, the consistency in food quality and service keeps me coming back.

We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon, around 3:00 pm. One table eating in and another waiting. You step to the counter to order, there was one guy explaining the menu and answering the questions we had, and a guy on the register. I connected the dots when reviewing the menu, a food genre with several different options. Steakburgers, Sandwiches, Loaded Potatoes, Salads, All Day Breakfast, Flatbreads, Fried Chicken and Wings, Mexican, Greek, Pasta, and Drinks. This is a lot of options, we are on a Fried Chicken kick so we did the fried chicken, half chicken with a biscuit, and boneless wings tossed in wing sauce. We took the order to go and tried the boneless wings before driving away. I was afraid they were going to have thick, crusty, and dense breading but the breading was thin, crispy, and really good. The sauce was the right amount and not too much. The ranch dressing was ok; I didn't use it after trying it. We had a long trek home after a couple more pit stops so we reheated the regular fried chicken in the air fryer before digging in. It was pretty good. The biscuit was ok, wasn't sure if it was homemade or not. We will definitely stop in again when we are in the area. Staff was friendly and helpful and several tables if you want to dine in.
