The first and only time I've been here was 3.5 years ago, so it's clear some things have changed. I came in a little closer to 5 and was able to snag a booth. My server was prompt and gave me water right away. I decided to try one of their featured cocktails "oh cherry" and got the steak frites with fries and a salad. After I ordered she brought out their famous rolls. They were just as soft and tasty as I remembered! After a short while she brought out my drink and salad. Unfortunately, both fell flat. The drink was a collection of juices with some vodka and while it seemed like a good idea at the time, it was anything but. The salad was just an average Caesar but the croutons were quite scrumptious! My streak frites came next and here's where they missed the mark. Mind you, I understand I asked for my fries well done, but I was surprised they couldn't have timed it better so at least my steak would be hot, too. It wasn't. It was lukewarm. It wasn't worth sending back, so I ate it. Overall, I'd say the highlight of my meal were the fries (spectacular, btw) and the complimentary biscuits. If the steak were hot, everything would have been perfect. Maybe they had an off night? Who knows. But I do know I like my steak hot. Better luck next time...

    Carrot Cake - Fabulous

Found this restaurant while visiting my Aunt. The great: The complimentary bread The side Salad $14 The roasted Cauliflower and asparagus included with my meal The Carrot Cake $16 Average: The Steak Medallions - they were a little chewy but cooked properly. Just expected more tender beef for the price. Augratin potatoes had a spice in it that was a little overpowering. The crab cake had a little fishy flavor. Our waitress Holly did a fantastic job taking care of us. The restaurant was clean and upscale. We would go back for tall the pros and try other items on the menu. They need to add the cauliflower to the everyday menu!

When I made my reservation, I wasn't aware the restaurant is a part of the Drury hotel, although it does have it's own entrance from outside of the hotel proper. Coming in on Chesterfield Center, you are driving past the back of the hotel buildings and there are no signs at the back indicating which buildings are which. If you drive past both buildings the road curves around and you can then see the Stoney River sign. Service here was excellent, as was the food. The complimentary rolls with whipped cinnamon butter are luscious! I had the steak egg rolls and the medallions with a crab cake. Real mashed potatoes, yum! A more upscale venue with prices to match, but you do get what you pay for!

Had another amazing experience at Stoney River Steakhouse and Grill! I first came last year for a business dinner and loved the food, so I brought my husband back to celebrate our 10-year anniversary. I'm so happy to say they're still consistent and just as delicious. The food was outstanding--especially my steak. I ordered it medium, and they cooked it perfectly exactly how I asked. Even the complimentary bread was absolutely delicious! The highlight of our night was our server, Tate. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcomed. He checked on us at the perfect times, gave great recommendations, and truly helped make our anniversary dinner extra special. My husband loved everything, and we'll definitely be back!

Cousin brunch! Parking lot ample. Walking in building was dark and sultry . I loved it. Made it for my 1 pm reservation and was not crowded at all. Bar area nice size. Plenty of seating. Adele M . was our server, very attentive and helpful. My only complaint was not to long after we received our food we were repeatedly asked if we were ready for boxes to go , this was a bit nerve wrecking in my opinion. We settled on a Peach Bellini carafe . Shrimp and Grits , Red Velvet Waffle and chicken and Bacon , biscuits as well. This meal was just ok. Menu choices were limited and not a buffet as I originally thought and drink selection I was a bit disappointed with the flavors and choices . The ambiance of the restaurant does not match the selection of menu and variety in my opinion. Overall I'll give this experience an 5/10.

I hate having to leave this review but I've thought about it all night. For the cost, it deserves to be told. First, pros: We were there to celebrate a wedding anniversary and the staff left us a nice card, provided on the house prosecco for toasting and (my favorite part of the night) a gloriously decadent chocolate cake with a sweet candle. The waitress was amazing, sweet and attentive without being overbearing. We loved her. The cons: First, the bread rolls. This was our first time here and didn't know what to expect. My roll was RAW. At first I was confused, like is it supposed to be this way? My husband had one, it was ok. He bit into a second one however and said "this isn't fully cooked!" We compared it to mine and while mine was the most raw of the three his was also definitely not done. But, we decided, we aren't here for the rolls, we just want to celebrate. We let it go. We each ordered medium rare steaks. They both came out rare. I personally am fine with it and mine was actually bit more cooked than his so I kept it but his? Was so raw it was glowing blue. We sent it back, and when they came back he deemed it "fine," still not actually medium rare but at this point my food was cold. The sides were fine. The hyped steak rolls were good, but not amazing. Ambiance-wise I'd say it was just ok. We were in a weird small room off the the side where the overhead lights clashed with the smaller table ones. The vibe was just off. All in all, we won't be back. An almost $200 meal and so much of it was raw. Nope.

We enjoyed a great date night here. The food and service was superb. I started with the lobster bisque- there was a good amount of lobster in the creamy silky bisque. My husband order a salad- he is not a salad person typically- but he inhaled it! We both got a little surf and turf- I got the lump crab on top and he opted for the crab cake- both we equally delicious. The baked potato was great- why do baked potatoes taste better at restaurants than at home?? My husband opted for their scalloped potatoes and was in food heaven!

    Golden Lychee martini

We always enjoy visiting Stoney River. We love the deviled eggs & whiskey shrimp for apps. Our server was Nick on this visit and he was great. Attentive detail and offered a drink suggestion when I asked him for one. I tried the Golden Lychee and it was very good.

NY Strip and a Lobster Tail...

While I am not a fan of hotel restaurants or restaurants in hotels, I will make an exception for this one as it was so good! I attended a company dinner here, so the bill was picked up, which always seems to make food taste better, but I must say, I was impressed with everything here. While it seems a bit fancy, there is no real dress code, however, the night I went, the customers were all dressed nicely, including our group. We were seated in the private dining room. I ordered a Dirty Martini, and I must say, it was one of the finest martinis I have ever had. Something one never forgets! We looked over the menu, and I ordered a Wedge Salad and a NY Strip with a Lobster Tail on the side. Our glorious leader, who is a wine connoisseur, ordered wine, and we were very impressed with the wine cellar here- some incredible wines at some great prices! My Wedge Salad was perfect, and my steak- excellent- and the lobster was tender and tasty- a nice surprise as they are awalys frozen and cooked until they're rubber. This one was excellent. Service was fantastic, very attentive without being ovebearing. I would love to come here with my wife, as it seems romantic as well!

Don't mistake the Stoney with the stigma of a restaurant being attached to a hotel as this is a super nice place to eat! We were impressed with everything. The service was amazing as they take excellent care of you. The food was spectacular and the star of the show. Their bread mini rolls were some of the best rolls we have ever had. Warm, and almost tasted like a dessert they were soooo good. Plus, their coffee rubbed filets were showstoppers too. My wife got their chicken and said that it was quite possibly one of the best chicken dishes she has ever had. One small deal was that, I was not a huge fan of their mashed potatoes but after all that goodness, who minds as they were not horrible.

    Sea bass

Wonderful place to have dinner or celebrate a special occasion! Service was top notch and food was exquisite. The complimentary "bread" is reason enough to return. They are not unlike deep fried donut balls, chewy and sweet and made even more irresistible with the cinnamon butter slathered over it. Lobster Bisque $13 - Thick and creamy soup with chunks of lobster meat. It was filling for a soup and the bowl portion is plenty big to share between 2 people. Hong Kong Sea Bass $45 - Fish was cooked perfectly and nicely seasoned. Rice was a hard on the bottom, but not purposely crispy. Would order again. Caesar Salad Add-on $8 Side of mash potatoes that came with the other entrée was huge! Other dishes I've tried: Whiskey Shrimp - Would definitely order again. 4 pieces of shrimp over toast and covered in sauce. One per person is enough as an appetizer. Lobster Bisque cup - Smooth and creamy. Hong Kong Sea Bass - Perfectly cooked with great texture. Simple but oh so delicious! Ahi Tuna Dinner - I had a bite of this and may order it if the sea bass wasn't around. .|\---/| | @_@ | ..\_^_/..2024

In fact, our waiter, Todd, was very attentive and even slowed down another server who was going to bring us our salads (a house and a caesar with anchovies) before we had a chance to finish our appetizer (a savory and spicy jambalaya arancini). Good catch on his part. We both had a glass of prosecco to start and then split a bottle of French pinot noir (Domaine de Valmoissine) to go with our entrees (steak tip pasta and steak frites). My wife loved the pasta dish (fresh pappardelle with steak tips, demiglace cream sauce and shiitake mushrooms) and my steak was perfectly prepared medium-rare with crisp and flavorful garlic fries and a side of green beans and shiitake mushrooms. It's the kind of meal and service we've come to expect at Timothy's. We look forward to the spring and some new menu items with the change of seasonal foods.

The soup was absolutely delicious and it was like a flavor bomb in your mouth after each bite. I had high hopes for the lobster risotto but next time we may skip this. I was hoping it would be more creamy and out of this world, but it was just mid. For entrees, my boyfriend and I both got the center cut filet with poblano au gratin potatoes and creamed corn with bacon. We were raving about how yummy everything was in between bites!! And to finish, we ordered our favorite dessert, crème brûlée. Lastly, I wanna shout out the bartender.. my Negroni was perfect, so of course, I had to order another. And Katherine, our server, was great as well. Thanks for being a part of our NYE and the will be sure to stop in to celebrate other occasions with J Gilbert's.

We ordered an 8oz special ribeye to split. The chef did the cut it in the kitchen, and then plated on two plates. Nice touch. We added a Caesar, and three sides. Everything was done nicely. Our server Jamie was 5*

Our server was awesome, the meals were great, I'll start with the server, he brought us a couple of drinks and left us to look over the menu. I filled my glass with a bottle of beer and noticed the glass was chipped along the rim. The place was hopping so I didn't get to catch him until he took our food order. I showed him the glass and he apologized and said he'd be back after putting in the order. In just a couple minutes he returned with a new glass, new bottle of beer and another apology. I've had similar issues at other facilities but he handled it better, and more professionally than any of them. I did think the manager could have stopped by, not looking for a free drink just to say we're sorry... my date and I both had their version of the choose two section. She had loaded baked potato and said it was great, and she got the chicken breast sandwich which she said was very good. To drink she had a margarita, no salt, and said it was good. I had the wedge salad and it was so large I couldn't even try my sandwich. I did eat it at home and the salmon blt was very good. I recommend this place and while we lucked out hitting a busy place on a Friday night without reservations, my date beat me there and got seated when a table opened up. The host took me to the table the moment I said I was meeting a lady there. Parking can be tuff, my date parked several rows away from the entry and if it had been raining that would have been a pain. I believe the location is the old Wild Horse Creek Pub on Long road. I dressed in casual jeans and a dress shirt and I hit between the families with kids and older couples out for a dressed up dinner. It is fairly noisy if you're looking to have a quiet conversation.

Firefly was a fairly decent place, easy location to find in Chesterfield with plenty of parking…read moreavailable. The restaurant is a bit loud, but we didn't mind it, it was a busy Saturday night. Bar service was great, table service was lacking. We started with a few drinks (margaritas) and they were quite good. For an app, we got the wings with firefly sauce, the sauce was really good and the wings were cooked perfect. For dinner, we had the filet mignon with potatoes and green beans as well as the creamy Cajun pasta. The filet was overcooked, but had really good flavor, the green beans with bacon were lackluster. The Cajun pasta was quite tasty, but it really lacked protein (only a few slices of a sausage and a few shrimp). We had the salted caramel bread pudding for dessert, it was good, but I probably wouldn't get it again. Overall, the experience was okay, food was good enough. Worth a try if you're in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go back.
