Parkside Grille is a cozy neighborhood gem with a welcoming atmosphere and a from-scratch American menu. There's a variety of options to choose from, including daily specials written on a chalkboard--don't skip these! We visited on a Thursday night, and the place was packed. Live music started at 6 PM, creating a lively vibe that showed people come here for both the food and entertainment. While there was only one server and a food runner working, she did a great job keeping up. That said, the busy crowd could've used one more person on the floor. What we ordered: * Manhattan (4/5): Well executed and went down a little too easy. * Sausage & Fresh Mozzarella Pizza (3.75/5): STL-style thin crust with fresh mozzarella instead of provel--definitely a solid choice. Toppings were fresh. * Shaved Prime Rib Dip (4/5): Generous serving of prime rib paired with excellent creamy horseradish sauce and flavorful au-jus. I just wish the beef had been cooked to medium or medium rare instead of medium well. * Shrimp & Chicken Gumbo (4.25/5): The standout dish. A well-done roux with great gumbo texture and large, fresh shrimp. It could've used a little more kick, but hey, this is St. Louis! * Side Salad with Avocado Ranch (4/5): Loved the mixed greens topped with freshly grated cheese, onions, and tomatoes. The homemade avocado ranch dressing was excellent. This was our first time here, and I would definitely come back. Great food, great atmosphere, and a spot that's worth checking out!

Park side Grille is a cozy place. We got there at 5 on a Friday evening. We were quickly seated and got our menus. We each got a glass of wine. I ordered the Pub Burger and my friend ordered Walleye. It took a bit of time to get our order but it was worth it. My burger was cooked medium well just as I ordered it. My friend's walleye portion was very large and she ate about half and took the rest home. Service was pretty good. The value was reasonable, $36 before tip per person. We will return.

Small and cozy ambience where it's not too loud or crowded. The service was attentive and fast. The food was excellent. Food was hot and fresh. Our favorite was the walleye and coleslaw. Everything else was great..

Super small place, you'll probably have to wait if you come during dinner rush, but it's worth it!! The prime rib dip was so good!! It had so much meat & cheese on it. Staff is great as well.

Always good food, good service and good music here. Greg and Liz were playing tonight a lot of energy and great songs from Fleetwood Mac, Miley Cyrus, Billy Joel and Steely Dan. We had the crab dip for an appetizer and it was very tasty. I had the salmon tacos, the aoli sauce was awesome and they have Schafley Pale Ale, one of my favorites. I'd recommend this restaurant anytime

Stevie was my server that night and she provided friendly top notch service. I ordered a spicy margarita for my cocktail. I was a little disappointed with the drink. It was very cucumber forward, had a nice heat, but lacked that signature lime flavor and tartness required of a good margarita. The brussel sprouts and cheese grits were a must try for me. The pork chop was the perfect entree to accompany these sides. The brussel sprouts were charred and crispy. The balsamic glaze paired nicely with the charred flavor. The pork chop is served in a very generous portion juicy and tender. The citrus sauce paired nicely with the pork. The cheese grits were creamy and delicious. All in all a delightful meal. The portions were generous enough for me to have hearty meal of leftovers the next day. The menu is fairly concise with burgers, pizza, pasta, sandwiches, beer/pork/chicken entrees, and salads. They have something for just about everyone. The appetizer menu offers loaded brussel sprouts with bacon balsamic and feta. This would have been too much to tackle by myself. I plan on bringing my friends next time to share this dish.

The restaurant is a bit loud, but we didn't mind it, it was a busy Saturday night. Bar service was great, table service was lacking. We started with a few drinks (margaritas) and they were quite good. For an app, we got the wings with firefly sauce, the sauce was really good and the wings were cooked perfect. For dinner, we had the filet mignon with potatoes and green beans as well as the creamy Cajun pasta. The filet was overcooked, but had really good flavor, the green beans with bacon were lackluster. The Cajun pasta was quite tasty, but it really lacked protein (only a few slices of a sausage and a few shrimp). We had the salted caramel bread pudding for dessert, it was good, but I probably wouldn't get it again. Overall, the experience was okay, food was good enough. Worth a try if you're in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go back.

The devils on horseback appetizer was great but everything even the drinks fell flat. My Cioppino was flavorless, overcooked, and fishy. I'm not usually one to harp on service at a restaurant but this was egregious. It took over an hour and a half for food to come out and another 20 minutes for mains. The kitchen staff did look short, but I can't imagine it takes that long to whip up some deviled eggs. Additionally, we were informed half way in that two of the three items we ordered they had somehow ran out of. Mind you this was at 7:30, peak dinner service. For the sake of being nitpicky, we had also only received a singular water refill the entire night. Brutal. Now I would be willing to set all of this aside if the food actually delivered to any degree, but it was all very below par. These deviled eggs were sad. I am confident I could make these better at home, better yet buy them at a grocery store. While the pork shank was massive, the chutney it came cooked in was entirely too salty and dominated what was already a one-note flavor profile. The burger was nothing extraordinary.. definitely more rare than the medium we had asked for. Just an overall dissatisfactory experience to say the least. One of the more memorable meals I've had, but for all the wrong reasons. TLDR: Brutal service, mediocre food

Seemed like a good attentive staff. This place reminded me of Lamberts in several ways, in fact Joey Bs is like some St. Louis suburban living version of that. "throwed rolls" are way too gauche for West County though, so its generally a kind of sports bar atmosphere. So Lamberts in Sikeston is awful, except for the "pass arounds" which are pretty good. Lamberts main dishes had the same steroidal, huger than possible, unexceptional tasting quality as Joey Bs. And like Lamberts, holy crap was Joey Bs busy so what the fuck do I know?? Clearly nothing, I guess "we" sure do love our marginal and gigantic food, people tend to eat with their eyes!

That said, our server, the margarita, Nightjar Old Fashioned, barbacoa quesadillas, and tempura were all excellent.
