I didn't realize that I never reviewed this place. Before there are lot of poke places like today, this is the first in St. Louis area for Poke. You can either choose from pre defined menu or pick everything from scratch. Over the years, there are new additions to the menu like sweet potato fries and wasabi wave (which I haven't tried yet) My favorite is Maui's Fury (raw sushi grade salmon and other delicious ingredients) Next favorite is crispy hei hei ( chicken ). From my memory, when I was talking to the owner and asking about how the chicken is less oily. He mentioned that's the expensive machine that he bought to make the fried chicken. Cost average is 13 - 15 dollars. Seatings: Very limited inside and few tables outside (depending on weather) Parking: There is very limited parking in the front. But, there is a huge covered parking lot behind the building which is free. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

    Fun reusable to-go bags

Yummy poke bowls without leaving the mainland! Highly recommend for a quick-but-still-special lunch. I ordered the Kilauea Krunch bowl and have no regrets. I don't know if I will want to try something new in the future because I enjoyed this one so much. :) The white rice, unagi sauce, avocado, cucumber, spicy crab, crunchy shrimp tempura- all done to perfection! Menu is clearly labeled to accommodate any dietary needs. Even though I had to grab it to go, I enjoyed it immensely. The reusable to-go bag was a nice touch. Very friendly service; found me at the pick up counter and handed me my order right away so I did not need to wait in the line while others ordered. It seems to be a popular spot! At around 1pm the small seating area was full, there was a line of a few people ordering, and I was one of four pickup orders ready at the counter. They seem to have great throughput and do so with a smile!

Poké Munch is my new favorite poke place in St. Louis! I've tried several in the area and what makes this place stand out is the efficient service, freshness of ingredients, and reasonable prices. I order to go from Poké Munch regularly I can expect my order to be ready within 10 minutes. The cost of a custom bowl comes out to be about $10 cheaper than other places. I've tried in St. Louis. This establishment is located right next to St. Louis University, making it an ideal location. The inside is small, but in intimate, if you want to dine in. Highly recommend!

Would recommend ordering from Poké Munch if you're craving a fresh bowl. The spicy tuna was delicious and would be the perfect texture for someone that doesn't want big chunks of raw fish in their bowl. I loved all of the topping options that they offer in order to customize your own bowl. The meal was a great way to get veggies in and felt very balanced. We got two bowls to go and our order was placed in a nice looking reusable bag. I appreciated the focus on sustainability. If you prefer more spice / flavor, one recommendation would be to ask for extra sauce - either on the side or in the bowl. Overall, would love to come back and try another bowl.

I went here for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed my poke bowl. The ordering process is a little bit overwhelming if it's your first visit though. I got the Aloha bowl and my friend got the crispy hei hei bowl. We also devoured an order of sweet potato fries that were gone before the camera came out, lol! I love a poke bowl so I was thoroughly happy with the amount of food and the ability to customize the order. Everything is very clean, the service was fast and friendly. The eating area is quite small so I think it's better for takeout but I will definitely visit again when I'm in the neighborhood.

I love that they have a build your own poke. I had ahi tuna on a bed of greens with tons of veggies, spicy aloha, and wontons. So good!! I would eat here every day

Poké Munch did it AGAIN. They never miss. I've been 2x this past month and it has hit the spot every. single. time. The place is clean, fast and kind. The employees always have a smile on their face and are always welcoming us in. I tried their mushroom pot stickers and they were incredibly tasty and delicious. Sometimes it's hard to find vegetarian potstickers at restaurants and theirs really hit the spot. The food is always sooo fresh and tasty. I feel like whenever I get a bowl with a salad base I always end up picking out a nasty piece (or worse multiple pieces) of old greens but never have I had to do that at Poke Munch which tells me their food must be REALLY freaking fresh. I had their spicy tuna which was the perfect kick to my build your own bowl. My husband loved the mix of salmon and spicy tuna. ***The best thing about Poke Munch is that I never feel gross after. I feel like I gave my insides a huge hug by feeding my body something so healthy and delicious. Can't wait to come back again soon!***

I am obsessed with this place and I don't even eat fish. My mom told me about it a few months ago and I have been coming ever since. The workers are always friendly. I have ordered pickup from here and it is just as good. The crispy hei hei bowl is my go to. There isn't a ton of room to sit inside but they have a few tables outside.

I used to order here a lot for lunch when I worked nearby, but haven't been back for a while. There was no line when I walked in today. I was surprised seeing 3-4 people working behind the counter - you"ll definitely get your order in no time. Poke Munch is a small place but well maintained. They also have outdoor seating. You can park in front of the store or in King's landing garage. Today I got BYO bowl -brown rice, salmon, spicy tuna, ahi tuna, spicy crab with honey wasabi sauce. Salmon was really fresh but I was disappointed at the tuna and the spicy crab. In my opinion. The food quality here was much better before. I"ll still come back another time to give another try.

    Tuna and Salmon bowl

Big fan of Poke! This did not disappoint! The location is a bit wonky, odd parking set up. The selection of bowls were ranging! I went with the tuna and salmon bowl which was delicious! A lot of food for one person. It even came with a reusable bag!

And then there's the ambiance which is has a very romantic beauty to it. There are even private dinning rooms as I recall where you and your party may dine in privacy. It was a place I had always wanted to try, and the meal was a gift. I ordered takeout from their lot and arrived for pickup within 1 minute of their notifying me it was ready. The wait staff was quite pleasant and highly professional. I didn't want the food to cool, so I ate it right away while sitting in my car on their lot, facing the trees visible from the lot's northeast corner. The shadowy sunset-lit view was pleasant to behold. I had passed on having a drink and ordered their incredible Carrot Cake for dessert. It was a pleasantly dense chunk of cake, chocked with nuts, icing, and served with a small serving of custard sauce. Yummy, to say the least, so nothing to complain about there. Their Maine Lobster Bisque was a scrumptious starter that offered just enough pieces of sweet lobster. Their generous serving of biscuits was also tasty, but a bit too crunchy for me (most people probably love them). I thoroughly enjoyed their Whipped Potatoes and dove into the last dish with excitement. It was one that I often enjoy whenever I have ordered them at different places in town and around the country - their crab cakes. I had some crab cakes just a few months earlier at another establishment, where they were just mediocre. On every count except one, Bristol's had them beat. Given their cost, Bristol's Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes initially looked skimpy, but I got my money's worth of seafood because they were full of meat and were delicately seasoned. I dipped them in the remoulade, and they were quite good; yet, I suspect that the meat in one or both of the crab cakes was a bit undercooked. I felt a cautionary averse sensation when I took my first and second bites, but I explained it away. I couldn't accept my body telling me not to eat those great-smelling, great-looking crab cakes. I ate them while telling myself, 'No way would this reputable seafood eatery sell bad clams.' I finished the meal and felt fine through the night. I never had the full constellation of symptoms that usually go with food poisoning. Still, the next morning, I woke to a severe case of facial hives that spread to the lymph nodes in my neck with an additional lump on the outside of my right shoulder and on my left rear trapezius. My face felt like an over-inflated balloon. My vision was compromised by the squint deeply carved around my eyes by the tight, hard lumps that expanded my face and disfigured me. I had no fever, but I didn't feel like writing a review or taking pictures of myself until midnight. It was that second night when my symptoms improved, but they were still quite pronounced. I was grateful I had been protected by angels when I didn't have to go to the hospital with worse symptoms. Also, the medical staff would mistakenly have classified this incident as an allergic reaction, but I know I will eat crab cakes for the rest of my life. It wasn't the crab cake concept; it was those crab cakes. But what could have been the cause? One can have nasty symptoms in the first 30-60 minutes or within 1-48 hours with different kinds of shellfish poisoning, but that was not my experience. Google best explained the onset of my symptoms within 12-24 hours: "Typical for common bacteria like Staphylococcus aureus or Vibrio found in raw/undercooked crab." So, if you order this dish, I'm sure your meal will go well for most, but if your body gives you that slight, nauseating signal to return that dish to the cook, I hope you listen better than I did. Finally, I do not care to put my face on the internet to prove a point, but if the proprietors would like to see my 24-hour facial pictures, I will gladly share them to validate my "woe-is-me" tale.
