    Pork tenderloin
    Ute R.

As always fantastic food and wine. we ordered the Shrimp appetizer , wedges with truffle aioli, and whipped goat cheese for appetizers. plenty to share. Our main course was seared red snapper and the pork tenderloin. I must say their fish dishes are out of this world! Our server Steven was very attentive.

Second visit to Le Ono and I'm officially obsessed. Came here to celebrate a friend's birthday and Le Ono delivered--again. The vibes are tropical lounge meets casual glam, and the food is every bit as memorable as the decor. Cocktails: I started with the Jade in Spades--Empress gin, kiwi cucumber cordial, lemon, and bubbles. It was crisp, refreshing, and as pretty as it was delicious. Followed it up with the Matcha Clarified Milk Punch which was creamy, unique, and wildly smooth. If you're into elevated cocktails with unexpected twists, this place gets it right. Apps: We split the Ahi Poke Nachos (crispy wonton chips, pineapple salsa, sriracha aioli) and the Squid Fritto Misto (tempura squid, broccolini, lemon aioli). Both were packed with flavor and totally devourable. If you don't order the nachos, I don't trust you. Mains: I had the Vietnamese Tiger Shrimp & Noodle Salad, and wow--bright, balanced, with the perfect crunch. Bonus: it somehow tasted even better the next day. My friend got the Prime Ribeye & Frites, served with kale butter and peppercorn sauce. It was rich, indulgent, and cooked to perfection. Dessert: Don't skip the Woods Bakery Donut Bread Pudding. It's drenched in rum butter sauce and topped with vanilla ice cream, and honestly? I'd come back just for this. Atmosphere: Le Ono has that "vacation in your own city" energy. Think warm lighting, lush plants, chic lounge furniture, and a patio that feels like a mini getaway. Friendly service, flawless presentation, and a menu that surprises in the best way. Already planning visit #3. Definitely worth the hype. ‍ Follow me for more honest recs, glam eats, and where to go when you want your meal to feel like an experience. #LeOnoSTL #FoodieFavorites #CocktailGoals #TheSassySaintApproved

Great service and great food! First time trying Le Ono. We tasted the small plates and especially loved the deviled eggs! Interesting drinks too!

    Tom kha seafood stew

Thoroughly let down by this place. The food was fine, but at nearly $60 per entrée, you expect exceptional. The tom kha should have been a fraction of what it cost with how little depth it had. Fish was so forgettable. The only saving grace was the tiger shrimp salad which was genuinely delicious. The shrimp was marinated beautifully and had just the ever-so slight char flavor. Still wasn't enough to salvage this meal. There are so many other good fine-dining establishments that are more affordable and not an hour away from St. Louis city. Favorite dishes: Vietnamese tiger shrimp salad

My sister, brother-in-law, and I recently had a delightful dinner at this restaurant. I mentioned to our waitress, Heather, that I was visiting my sister and was originally from Virginia. I also shared that this would be my first vacation since retiring, and I was planning to visit Hawaii. Heather generously offered some fantastic food recommendations, which were absolutely amazing and have made me even more excited about my upcoming trip to Hawaii. This restaurant is a must-visit! The love and passion in the food and drinks are palpable. The ambiance was equally captivating, and the overall experience was simply incredible. A special shoutout to the chef for taking the time to chat with us. He made us feel like we were guests at his home, and he was genuinely friendly and welcoming. I can't wait to return in February for my mom's 90th birthday. I plan on visiting this amazing team every time I visit!!! Even if I have to sleep on the doorstep to wait for a seat, it would be worth it. If I could give it a 5 plus, I would definitely do so.

Le Ono is exactly what the Metro East needed! For those of us dying in this suburban wasteland of chain restaurants, Le Ono is a little slice of city dining. They have the whole package: a gorgeous interior, an incredible bar program, unique & delicious food, and seriously the kindest staff! Whether you're going on a date night, solo happy hour, or meeting a whole group, you will have the best time here. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, but my husband and I's go to is splitting a bunch of appetizers. Their lobster rangoons are one of their signature dishes and a must order every time we go. Other favs are the watermelon sesame sashimi, any of the bao, and the crab cake! And you can't leave without trying a cocktail or mocktail. The bartenders are magic! Make a dinner reservation or swing by for happy hour and get ready for a great night!

I was very excited to try this new gem in O'Fallon, IL after reading rave reviews. I made a reservation for dinner on a Thursday and was promptly seated upon arrival. The space is small but the lounge/bar is separated from the main dining area by tall padded benches. The ambiance is lively but quiet, which we enjoyed. We started with the crab Rangoon and it did not disappoint. The appetizer is served with sweet and sour sauce and it's four rangoons per order. For my entree, I had the breaded red snapper. Honestly, I was a bit worried it had been overcooked when I cut into it but it was just fine. The fish was served with pineapple salsa on top as well as a coconut based sauce, all on a bed of wild rice. The flavors were tropical but I also loved the coconut sauce, which reminded of a Thai dish. My husband had the petit filet and it was cooked to perfection. The filet was served with a thick potato medallion that was very good. To close it off, we shared a bread pudding made with glazed donuts from a bakery down the street. Service was great! Street parking is available in the vicinity. This is a good place to celebrate a special occasion.

    Pork tenderloin with butternut squash
    Rob R.

OMG. Amazing. The food we had was amazing and the service beyond wonderful. I had the pork tenderloin and it was the best I have ever had in my life. It was cooked sous vide! I loved butternut squash that came with it. I also tasted the filet with potato and I loved it as well. Be aware that the menu changes as to what is in season. Our server was incredible. She gave great suggestions and never rushed us. It was a wonderful relaxing meal with friends. I loved the decor - French Polynesian. One of the owners stopped by and she made sure everything was wonderful. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Le Ono but for brunch. It offers perfectly married French and Polynesian flavors with a unique and fresh vibe! It's a little outside St. Louis to the east, O'Fallon, IL. The fusion of high-quality ingredients and the creative touch of a Polynesian chef result in dishes that are not only delicious but also distinctively different from anything else in the area. The thoughtfully crafted cocktail menu, featuring tiki, Polynesian, and classic French options, adds an extra layer of gusto. Talani and Lisa's hospitality shines, drawing on their extensive restaurant background from Los Angeles, Chicago, and Hawaii. Le Ono is a must-visit for those seeking a tasteful journey. Ordered the seafood spread & everything bagel #stlouispescatarianapproved It was excellent! @stlouispescatarians on instagram.

    halibut

I had the fish of the day (halibut), and it was delicious. I particularly enjoyed the sauces. I was disappointed by the liquor selection. Service was good. We came on a Friday at about five PM, and it was loud but not enough to prevent conversation. Reservations are required, and it was lively but not too busy. My family enjoyed their salads, and the smash burger was delicious. Moreover, my brother enjoyed the Old Fashioned.

I would like to preface this review by saying that I lived in Hawaii for five years. I have always been a plate lunch enthusiast. I was happy to see that Buzz's menu offers everything you could want to make a delicious meal reminiscent of the islands. Traditionally, plate lunch includes two scoops of rice, a scoop of mac salad, and a protein. Sticky sweet teriyaki sauce on chicken or steak, or crispy chicken katsu, or maybe Kalua pork are all good options. I went with the kalbi ribs and garlic shrimp. The kalbi was done well. The garlic shrimp missed the mark for me. In fairness, my frame of reference is Giovanni's shrimp truck on the North Shore of Hawaii. This shrimp was dry and was missing the garlic butter sauce. We also tried the lumpia, manapua, kalua sandwich, and an order of loaded fries. This is just a small portion of their amazing menu. I'm confident there is something for everyone. My favorite part of the meal were the signature Dole Whip. I was momentarily transported back to the Dole pineapple plantation! If you're more adventurous the lilikoi are absolutely amazing!! The perfect sweet little treat.

BUT entering, there was like, no aloha spirit, the vibes were so off, the music selected wasn't even, at least modern Island reggae, and the lights were really dim. That is outside of the HUGE wait times of DoorDash orders coming through and stalling the people waiting in line to order. The staff were working HARD to get through the line, but they were just overworked. We got an order of garlic shrimp that came with rice, mac salad, and a pineapple slice for some reason. We also ordered the Poke Bomb Flight which is fried tofu skins filled with rice and topped with poke. The Poke Bomb Flight, or inari, was pretty good! I liked the flavor of the poke and it was a great one bite situation. The garlic shrimp however was small - like not even plate lunch servings. It was 5 pieces of shrimp, two small scoops of rice, and mayo heavy mac salad. They must be doing something right though with all those DoorDash orders, but we won't be coming back to try more.

If you are already a poke fan, DEFINITELY check them out. If you are a newbie or poke-curious, Poke Munch makes it VERY easy on beginners - and the staff is the "sauce on the bowl" if you will. It has been the same, clearly-invested, friendly and engaging staff on each visit (Ie....no rotating high schoolers checking IG on their phone while you figure ish out). Poke Munch is a Hawaiian take on the poke bowl. It is in a small shopping area with plenty of parking. You enter the shared dining area mentioned above and head right to order at the counter before moving on to your seat. The dining area and restrooms were very clean each time I visited. There is a ginormous, easy to read (and understand) list of recommended bowls. Keep in mind you can customize whatever you like! Or ask the staff to make you their favorite bowl.....put their favorite combo of sauces on your custom bowl....etc. etc. I DESPISE ginger, and as I get older, the number of carbohydrates consumed and the size of my pants seem to correlate, so I always hold the ginger & grains and get all mixed greens as the base of my bowl. Their raw, cubed fish has always been exceptionally fresh. There are a ton of vegan options and if you don't care for raw or surf, there is an excellent Crispy Hei Hei bowl with sesame chicken tempura, white cabbage, cucumber, sweet onion, carrot, shiitake mushroom, crispy garlic, unagi sauce, and PM sauce - but again, construct and customize any way you want. Do not sleep on the *Shiitake Mushroom Pot Stickers*. LOVE! Chopsticks, cutlery, and soy sauce are available. Grab a lid for your bowl if you don't finish.
