Burgers looked amazing- and Parmesan fries

A group of girlfriends met up for dinner last night and really enjoyed our experience! The appetizers were fantastic- pretzels with a good cheese dip, and chips with elote dip. This would be a fun place to meet up for drinks and appetizers and leave totally satisfied. Our food was also good- burgers, chicken, steaks, and our server was friendly. I will say that the steaks were a tad overdone (especially my friend who ordered medium rare and received a well-done steak). The ambience is cool and industrial- but because of the hard surfaces everywhere it also felt very loud/echoey. There was live music and we had a very hard time hearing each other and our server. The outdoor space seems like it would be really nice in the summer though! I'd come back for that.

This was my first time back at this place since becoming PressHouse. I was a little confused at first with the name change but figured it out after asking a couple of questions. Our server was great. Very informative and got us our meals fast. The prices for what you get are a little higher than what they should be, but overall the experience was nice and the food was good. I will be back to do a full spirits sampling soon! They had so many to pick from!

The Press House came through for me and my family last week after our Surprise Retirement Party for my Dad came crashing to a hault from a different local establishment that shall not be named. The professionalism, sincerity, and friendliness was top notch and everyone had a great time! We can't say enough good things about the management, staff, and chef. Jennifer and Ryan were on top of every single detail from the event space, food order, and entertainment. We highly recommend The Daily Draft for all sporting watch parties and The Barrel Room for your next event space! They are two of the coolest areas that are welcoming, party friendly, and intimate all at the same time. Robbie and another bartender were fantastic! They made every drink perfect, from the old fashions my dad loves to the deliciously poured in house drafts. They were warm and inviting with conversations as well as recommendations of drinks. The chef (I'm sorry I do not remember his name) was on point! He timed every catering tray to a "t" and the food was always hot and scrumptious! We even added a few last minute items and he had everything ready to go. Almost a week later, my family and I are still receiving texts and phone calls from over 100 party goers saying how amazing the Press House was and what a blast they had! We all cannot wait to go back! Thank you PressHouse for turning what we thought was going to be the worst experience into an unforgettable and memorable party for my Dad! Your generosity did not go unnoticed and for that, we are forever, truly thankful!

We have been here a few times since the new kitchen opened. Nice variety, and a great pet friendly patio to listen to eat and enjoy the band. The burgers are phenomenal! Love the french press beer, a blend of coffee and vanilla.

The pan seared salmon was small for the price.

The bar itself is gorgeous and the selection of drink drinks and what they have on tap is more than I've seen anywhere else. The service is pretty much immediate, the mixed drinks are fantastic (and I am very finicky about my mixed drinks), and the food....OMG THE FOOD! I really don't like burgers, but the person I was with got a burger and it was amazing and insisted I tried it and let me tell you, it was the best freaking burger I've ever tasted my entire life! I went there a second time, on a Saturday night, and it was very busy, but service was still very quick, my mixed drink was perfect, music was great, but not too loud where you couldn't hold a conversation and they even had security! At a bar/restaurant on Main Street in Collinsville!! as a tiny little female, who happen to be there with her tiny little female family member, I felt super safe and had a great time! So if you're looking for somewhere to go eat, I suggest Sloans, (I just found out they did brunch on weekends and I can't wait to try that, plus they have a full Lent menu, so no having to search while I'm allowed to eat on a Friday right now!). And if you're looking for a place to hang out and have a good time, while still feeling safe, with good service and good drinks later on in the evening, go to Sloan's!

We had ordered one of their lunch specials- pizza with 2 toppings and small side salad for 11. Good deal, right? Well our bill had the $11 as expected but $1 for each ingredient so we were charged $13 instead of 11. One of friends went to ask the waitress- she was aware but wasn't sure how to change it. Geez at least tell us about it. The main bar /restaurant area is pretty cute but I thought the restroom could use some upgrades.

I like Gouda Cheese and it's not offered on a burger at many places, so I took advantage of this opportunity. Adding bacon to a burger is a no brainer, so the pairing was a winner. For a side, I went premium and enjoyed a side of house-made onion rings. OMG! These rings easily make my top three onion rings. They were huge, sliced thick, the onion still had a snap and the seasoning on the breading was super peppery, which I like. They offer a good variety of draft beers and we all know a cold beer goes well with a smash burger. My bartender was friendly and attentive. She was hustling serving the bar and tables in the bar area. She made everyone feel welcomed. When in Collinsville, I'll be sure to stop by again. For what they aim for and the prices they charge, I think they could improve. The restaurant is the same classic building they've always been in, I do appreciate the historic vibe. Service overall is not terrible, but that's where it fell short for me. The food is above average but below great. All of which could easily be refined with just a little bit more effort. Server was unpolished for trying to be a nice steakhouse. I'll leave it at that. Cocktails I ordered were basic, no complaints there. I did request and get served what I wanted, but the receipt rang up a different higher priced vodka, whatever. The food was good. We had the marinated mushroom appetizer. I did intend for the stuffed mushroom. I didn't complain once it got to the table, not worth it. It was great. Main was chateaubriand for two. Sides were Brussels sprouts, French fries, and vegetables. The side dishes were all great. The steak we asked cooked rare, but it came out cold. The server did scoff at us when we initially requested rare, trying to push us to med-rare, I said "then let's make it rare+, like 128° center" and server said they would note exactly that. It came out as pictured.. we ate it all and enjoyed. I do like the char/grill taste with the Andria's sauce. Must ask for extra dipping sauce. I did buy two bottles of sauce at the store to take back home with me out of state. I didn't complain on anything and still tipped cash above 20%. I hadn't eaten here since 2019 and also got the chateaubriand back then. I think I will stick to coming back once every 7+ years for nostalgia and taking the sauce home instead.
