I want to really like Andria's, they almost have it. I would say 3.5 stars, but not 4. I had friends discourage me from going when I initially said we are going to Andria's to eat. For what they aim for and the prices they charge, I think they could improve. The restaurant is the same classic building they've always been in, I do appreciate the historic vibe. Service overall is not terrible, but that's where it fell short for me. The food is above average but below great. All of which could easily be refined with just a little bit more effort. Server was unpolished for trying to be a nice steakhouse. I'll leave it at that. Cocktails I ordered were basic, no complaints there. I did request and get served what I wanted, but the receipt rang up a different higher priced vodka, whatever. The food was good. We had the marinated mushroom appetizer. I did intend for the stuffed mushroom. I didn't complain once it got to the table, not worth it. It was great. Main was chateaubriand for two. Sides were Brussels sprouts, French fries, and vegetables. The side dishes were all great. The steak we asked cooked rare, but it came out cold. The server did scoff at us when we initially requested rare, trying to push us to med-rare, I said "then let's make it rare+, like 128° center" and server said they would note exactly that. It came out as pictured.. we ate it all and enjoyed. I do like the char/grill taste with the Andria's sauce. Must ask for extra dipping sauce. I did buy two bottles of sauce at the store to take back home with me out of state. I didn't complain on anything and still tipped cash above 20%. I hadn't eaten here since 2019 and also got the chateaubriand back then. I think I will stick to coming back once every 7+ years for nostalgia and taking the sauce home instead. read more

We visited to celebrate my significant other's mother's birthday and had a reservation. We were seated promptly, and our server was phenomenal friendly, attentive, kept our drinks full, and communicated well when the kitchen was running behind. The inside of the restaurant is super cute and currently decorated for Christmas. Everything was very clean, including the bathrooms, which we really appreciated. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. For a steakhouse, the steaks lacked flavor, and one was undercooked ordered medium but came out rare. We had to add salt just to make it palatable, and the ribeye was excessively fatty. We understand ribeyes can be fatty, but only about a quarter of the steak was actually worth eating. The chicken piccata was good, though the portion was small (which was fine for me). The French onion soup was unusual it was creamy, which we weren't expecting. The standout dish of the night was the toasted ravioli, which was excellent. The birthday dessert was a really nice touch and truly made his mom's night. Our server also sent my significant other home with a cheesecake, which was very much appreciated. Overall, we won't be returning. Spending $260 for four people on subpar food just wasn't worth it, despite the great service. read more

My wife and I went to Andrias for my birthday supper last night. We arrived at 5:00 and was seated very shortly after. I ordered the large Prime Rib and my wife ordered a small filet, we also ordered crab stuffed mushrooms. the mushrooms were delicious and so were the rolls they brought. The salads were fantastic and very large everything was to die for. My prime rib was scrumptious, tender and cooked perfectly. We loved our complete experience and will definitely be back! A friend of ours swears by this place, so we decided to make the 1.5 hour drive up to check it out. We were visiting on a Saturday and made a reservation online the day before. We chose the patio because it was perfect weather for it. We were celebrating my birthday and hoping for a good experience. It's easy to find, and parking is plentiful. The house and scenery are gorgeous. We were seated immediately upon arrival, but the service was extremely slow. After 15+ minutes we were given some water and bread by the server assistant. The waitress took another 10-15 minutes before she arrived to greet us and take our drink and appetizer orders. We started with the toasted ravioli, which is served with a homemade marinara sauce. It was very good, but we had a very long wait for it to come out. We both had a salad. One with thousand island dressing and the other with the house dressing. The salad was also very good, but again took forever to arrive. For our entrees, I had the 8 ounce filet with baked potato and my husband had the 16 ounce ribeye with baked potato. We both ordered our steaks medium. Unfortunately, neither of them were cooked correctly and they both came out lukewarm. The ribeye was medium well, and the filet was well done. Both were lacking flavor. They provided a small heart shaped vanilla cake with buttercream icing for my birthday, which was a nice touch. The cake was good. I would highly recommend they invest in fly fans for the patio tables. They are inexpensive (less than $10 on Amazon) and make a world of difference for your patrons. We fought the flies and when we asked the waiter assistant if they had any, he said everyone always asks for fly fans, but they don't have them. Nostalgic visit with a dear friend last night. We were seated quickly, but then sat waiting for at least 10 minutes before anyone came by the table. We finally saw our server and ordered drinks and an appetizer, which was deep fried ravioli. They came out pretty quick. My friend was disappointed that the marinara sauce was cold. Then salads came out, which were big and the house dressing was nice. We then waited a long while for entrees. I ordered the peppercorn steak over mashed potatoes, which the steak was good but the potatoes had no flavor, and I barely detected peppercorns in the watery sauce. My friend got the 8 Oz filet and a loaded baked potato. The potato was not loaded, she had to ask for sour cream and butter. We did buy several bottles of the steak sauce, as it is delicious and at a very good price at the restaurant vs. Nearby stores. All in all, not the best meal out. read more

My wife and I came here, after being given a gift card. We ordered the Chateaubriand since 1) we'd never had one before and 2) it was less expensive than ordering two individual steaks. I was very pleased. The char was perfect, and the meat was cooked medium, as ordered. The steak fries were super good, paired with their homemade garlic aioli. Also, for an upscale steakhouse, Andria's is reasonably priced. My only critique is that the restaurant is a bit old and dated. Related to this, we could feel a pretty strong draft through the wall next to our table. A refresh (e.g., new tables, chairs, lights) would definitely help. read more

Reviewed Andria's a while back and was not very happy. They are in need of a facelift and menu overhaul as some items where not as described. Have heard their bar renovation and bar menu was worth trying so gave them another try. My wife tried the pork rib eye served in their signature BBQ sauce. It was very tender and tasty although the BBQ may have taken something away from a good piece of meat. I stuck to the bar theme and had a very good burger. Was cooked well although only Monterey Jack cheese if you want a cheese burger. Our server was very good, friendly and timely with everything. The regular menu prices looked still a bit high and not much change to full menu and the place still needs a facelift but the bar service and small plates will bring us back from time to time. read more

It had been years since we'd been to Andrea's, and why it took us so long to go back is a mystery to me!! We had a wonderful dinner here on a Saturday night. Reservations are made through their website by sending in a request for a specific time frame and then they respond to your request with the time(s) they have available. Our table was ready when we arrived, and we were greeted promptly by our bus boy, who brought us bread and butter, introduced himself and told us who our waiter would be and that she would be with us shortly. I don't ever recall a bus person introducing him or herself like that; I loved it and it set a great tone for the rest of our dinner!! My wife and I came here over 30 years ago when we were still dating, and we remember it to be an amazing experience. We decided to come here for our 26th wedding anniversary. I made reservations online, which was very easy to do. The service was great. The wait staff was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. Great job on the service! The dining room looks peaceful and elegant. The ambiance was great until the place filled up. This is not a place to come if you are looking for a quiet meal. We had a group behind us talking on speakerphone while everyone at their table talked loudly to be heard by the caller. A place as expensive as this should ask those patrons to quiet down. The food was where things really fell apart. My wife had the small prime rib and I had the New Yori strip. Both steaks were supposed to be medium rare. Mine was medium, and my wife's was medium well. For almost $50 a plate, the steak should be perfect every time. Both steaks were riddled with tendons and hard to eat. We have had better steaks at Texas Roadhouse. My wife got the twice baked potato with her meal. The outside was completely burnt, and the inside had the consistency of a poorly cut up baked potato. To the management. You bill yourselves as fine dining, but struggle to prepare food to casual dining standards. We spent $160 on our meal overall and that was horrible considering the poor quality of the food. This needs to change if you want to be seen as a premier dining experience in the metro east. I am not sure we will be back. read more

Andria's reminds me a lot of Jack Gibbons, a steak restaurant near my house, for all the right reasons. It's a classy place,but not pretentious. Service was very friendly and prompt. And I had an excellent ribeye steak here cooked perfectly to medium as requested. Baked potato sides are enormous, probably a meal by themselves for a lot of people. They were good with my sister's kids, so I would say they're largely family friendly though her kids are unusually well-behaved too. I love their steak sauce and use it at home. We hadn't been there in 15 years so decided to try it to celebrate a birthday and were very disappointed. The service was slow and the food was definitely not worth the price. The filet and chicken breast were overcooked and dry. The house dressing for the salad was just ok, but it was a large salad so that was good. We celebrated Valentine's Day's Thursday the 13th. We've always chosen Andria's as our special place to celebrate. However this wasn't our best experience. The hostess who I'm pretty sure has ownership in the restaurant, didn't hear are name correctly, said at first she didn't see are reservations. Was more annoying then accommodating. Went to the bar while waited for our table. The accommodations were crowded and the staff was a little unorganized. I think they forgot we were at the bar and I had to ask one of the staff if they would come get us when our table was ready? After the question are table was ready! We both ordered the prime rib which was not near as tender as it usually is. Then the steak knives were so dull it was hard to cut the meat. This is the first time we've had this experience. I fear our favorite steakhouse is going down hill. read more

Unfortunately, this restaurant is going downhill. It used to be exceptionally good, but not anymore! Last three visits have been the same disappointing experience. The staff is overwhelmed and seems unhappy. Not enough experienced waiters and waitresses relying on young, inexperienced helpers (runners) to keep up, but they are missing it on service and any real knowledge of the customer experience. Took approximately 45 minutes for our food to arrive. Our orders came out wrong. A medium rare steak order was delivered completely well-done and was sent back, which left our party waiting to start eating while our other dishes were getting cold. Water glasses sat empty. At one point, one of the young helpers interrupted our dinner conversation by aggressively dropping a bottle of ketchup on our table and stating "Here's the KETCHUP you asked for!" We never requested ketchup! Twice we had to ask for butter for our dry baked potatoes. Our waitress was not fully attentive to our party. Food was just average. Dinner for our party of four came to $500+. In summery, I run a business myself and my honest conclusion is Andria's has drifted away from a focus on exceptional service and quality to a focus on volume and filling tables. They need to update the dining room, reduce prices, and learn what al dente pasta is supposed to taste like, be, and how to cook a proper steak when you ask for medium rare. I have heard some great things about Andria's but this is my first time going and I have to say, I am absolutely not impressed. It took over 10 minutes to even be greeted by our server. We placed our orders and it took quite a while to get our food. Two of us got the steak and lobster. We both had the exact same thoughts, the lobster was way over cooked and rubbery. My filet was cooked great and had great flavor! But for a meal that's $90 dollars, and only have half of your entree be good... I don't think that's worth it. I was soooo excited for the twice baked potato, it is one of my favorite sides. But unfortunately, it was heavy on the sour cream which left a weird taste in my mouth. The house salad was really good but the dressing was light. All three of us who ordered the house dressing asked for more. My husband got the ribeye which he said was cooked well, the house salad and the twice baked potato. He got a second ribeye so he would have leftovers for home but without sides. We asked our server in advance if there would be a price difference for ordering no sides and she said she would take $8 dollars off, which of course she did not. That was just the icing on top of the cake for our disappointing dining experience. We were celebrating a friends engagement, so at the end they did bring out a small heart shaped cake as a celebration gift which was nice and not expected! However the cake was just a typical cake you would buy from a grocery store with a whole lot of sugary icing, not great. The ambiance is an old timey house feel. It's quaint and cozy but nothing over the top special. Just to reiterate, our service from our server was extremely subpar. Our server came over 5 times tops over our two hour dining experience. The busser, however, was great- he kept our drinks filled, our table cleared, and packed our food in a timely manner. Overall, four four of us to eat, we spent $360 without tip. We didn't get any appetizers, and there was only one glass of wine ordered. So we spent that much just on entrees where some of the items were not cooked appropriately. I ordered earlier in the day online for pick up at 8:15pm on Sep 2,2022 for my significant other's birthday celebration One of their online order pick-up options was to have them bring the order out to my car; so I chose that option out of convenience for myself. I paid online (included a nice tip in advance of service received - I know - dummy) and went to pick it up at the predetermined time of 8:15pm. Keep in mind that this was my first time here and when I arrived there was no designated area for parking for customers like myself to just Get-N-Go. So I called them when I arrived and asked where I should park. I was told that I "probably need to come inside to pick it". (Not really a big deal to me as a first timer but why do they leave that as a pick up option for customers on their website if they don't keep their promise?). So I parked out back per instructions and came in. Nice place on the inside. Casual dining, etc. I met the door lady/mater dei/bouncer, whatever this late 70 year old lady was. Explained that I'm here to pick up my order. She took a couple of minutes to finish filling out a seating chart before acting on my request to fetch my order (which was supposed to be ready). After she finished the all important seating chart she asked for my name and asked If I paid online (of course I did - that's why I'm here - if you checked you would have known that). She went to the kitchen without further discussion and then almost 10 minutes later she peeked around the door asking if I wanted cheese on the burgers. Yes I did (after all, for the prices at this place - they'd better not charge extra for that!). Obviously they didn't start working on it until I got there for pickup. Remember: this was supposed to be grab and go order. Finally at 8:30pm I was leaving with two sacks of food in hand and heading back home $98 lighter for 2 burgers/fries, 2 shrimp caesar salads and 2 toasted ravioli orders. When I got home the toasted ravioli was obviously burnt or shall we say (way) "over-toasted" and it had the texture of licking a used ashtray. The fries and burgers (as well as their "vaunted sauce" which they tout) was like they came direct from the Bonneville Salt Flats - I'm sure my BP raised to near cardiac arrest levels. The burger literally had no taste to it and the bun was as bland as I could have got from the counter top of my kitchen. The Shrimp Caesar salad was by far the best thing but all that included was lettuce, parm cheese and a small vile of ranch dressing. Nothing more but how do you mess that up, anyway? This place is way overpriced for how they are touted out to be. Overpriced and overrated is the best description of it for me. Anyway ... this was a learning opportunity and only after experiencing this first hand would have convinced me to never buy another meal at Andrias. I'm not being ugly when I say that you honestly get a truly much better value for a burger meal and service at the local Red Robin (full disclosure: I am not, nor have I ever been associated with Red Robin except for eating there once in a while). read more

The last time we were there was in February of this year. My wife and I had some things in our lives that were very difficult, so I wanted my wife to have a pleasant evening out gor a break. Andria's is an hour and a half away from us, so going there is a bigger deal than for people who live closer. We were seated in the bar area that evening and our server never checked on us after taking our initial order - apparently there was a "father/daughter" dance or some other foolishness she told us on the first floor that had priority over us. We even saw a table in the bar area get seated after us and get their food before us. It would have been nice if the wait staff would have checked on us because when we did get our food it was cold/undercooked-we could have sent our food back to be reheated. Although I must say the check came really fast and the waitress was all about getting the food paid for, as she stood there waiting for my credit card-good job!! It is disappointing that we spent so much money for cold food and lousy service and the best we get when we had a chance to voice our disdain when leaving is a half hearted sorry from the server and from the lady at the check in area. I reached out to the owners via email and basically got a response that sounded more like, "we were busy and we can't please everyone". I did get offered a free dessert (wow!) on our next visit and was told they don't do this for everyone who gets poor service. Don't go to eat there- they overcharge for their food and could care less if you have a good experience or not. My wife, our friends who just recently got engaged, and myself dined here on a Wednesday night. We made a reservation about 3 days prior. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation, but were seated immediately upon arrival. Once seated, service was a little slow, probably about 10 minutes before getting drinks ordered, but the restaurant was packed so we understand. Once we placed our drinks, we received them pretty quickly. The wine glasses are definitely worth your money, they fill the glass up pretty well! The busser was honestly the best part of this whole experience, he was constantly filling up waters and teas, and clearing the table appropriately. Our waitress was ok, we didn't see her much except to order, but again, seems like she had a lot of tables to tend to. Once it was time to order, we got a multitude of steaks with different sides/options. My wife ordered the steak and lobster, which you get to choose your cut. She ordered the filet mignon cooked medium. The steak had a great char, and probably closer to medium rare, but let's be honest, it's a steak house--that's how you get the steak! The filet mignon was exceptional, I had a couple bites. She also ordered the twice baked potato with the works--definitely get your baked potato this way--the regular baked potato is pretty bland and not much to write home about. The lobster was a little tough, but a good side and great presentation. The lobsters also come with a candle lit butter that burns and stays warm for your dipping throughout the meal. The steak comes with a salad, which my wife ordered the house dressing. The salad is very lightly dressed, everyone who ordered the house salad had to ask for extra dressing. I wasn't the biggest fan of the house dressing, but my wife really enjoyed it--it's close to an Italian dressing. The meal on the menu says market price, but it was about $90 for the meal give or take on which cut you get. The couple we went with, the woman got the steak and lobster, with a ribeye cooked medium. This steak was cooked perfectly to medium, and she enjoyed it. She ordered the salad with ranch, and this was definitely the move. It was perfectly dressed and looked much better than the house salad. She also got zucchini sticks, which she enjoyed. The lobster was also a little tough, so probably a little overcooked. My friend ordered the ribeye, medium, with a baked potato--he didn't order the works, just a baked potato, and that's exactly what it was, a baked potato. It was nothing special and he wasn't a fan--so opt for the works for sure! For my meal, I went a little overboard, I ordered the ribeye, 16 oz, medium rare, with a baked potato, twice baked with the works. However, that seemed a little small and there wasn't another option for ribeye... so I did the logical thing and bought a second ribeye without sides, also medium rare. We were told the sides would be taken off on the bill, but they weren't--full price. Nonetheless, it's a pretty good deal for steak, potato, and a sale for 48 buck! I enjoyed the steak, but one had more flavor than the other and didn't seem like the greatest of grade steaks. I enjoyed it and ate most of both lol. We love cooking with Andria's steak sauce, so we were excited to try their location restaurant. We were a little underwhelmed unfortunately. The ambiance is fairly quiet despite it being busy with almost no seating available. We recommend making a reservation. You can call in and make one or make one online. The vibe is quiet, and just being frank, it is quite an older crowd. However, the vibe was nice and enjoyable. All and all, it's probably a nice dinner date night if you're in the Collinsville/Caseyville area, so perhaps check it out one night for solid steaks and a nice date night. read more

My absolute favorite steak sauce in the whole world is Andria's and add their filet, it can't be beat! I get the same filet with baked potato and salad with ranch and haven't changed my order yet so can't say much about other food but def worth a try if you're looking for a nice place! read more

Thoroughly Impressed We walked in without a reservation. The hostess was accomadating, and was able to squeeze us in without a wait. From start to finish, we had a wonderful experience. The waitress listened to what our preferences were, and gave recommendations without making us feel pressured. The meals were Delicious! We highly recommend the Sea Bass and the Prime Steak! I had seafood pasta but it was a little bit too rich for me. But it was delicious. Ambience was great with friends celebrating my birthday with me. I always loved Andria's but I miss the old Andria's. It was great for couples. But the food is still great. The staff make the place more charming.
