Best Italian food!! We're from California and my husband's parents lived here. This is one of our 'must stop' places that we refuse to miss every time we visit. I had the lasagna and ribeye steak and my husband had the filet mignon and lasagna...yes we ordered a lot of food for two of us but I wanted to have enough for the next night! Our server was awesome and made our experience the best! I will make one more stop before our departure and already looking forward to our next visit! Don't miss this place!! read more

Had a large group and the service was exceptional! Everyone got a different menu item and there were no complaints and plenty of compliments! Server was friendly but not intrusive. Enjoyable dinner. Only criticism is that it was loud. read more

Hadn't been to Ravanelli's in a while but went with my cousin for dinner last night. Their original location in Granite City was a childhood staple of ours for big family dinners out and I dearly miss that location. The Collinsville location is a little less homier and the menu has been pared down a bit over the years, however our server was attentive and the food remains solid. We split the Baked Rigatoni for Two entree which includes two soups/salads and two full orders of rigatoni for $39. I enjoyed the cream of chicken soup and the dinner salad. Do NOT miss our on their house ranch dressing - easily my favorite homemade ranch around! Ravanelli's, pleaaase bring back the house made croutons! Baked rigatoni was delicious as usual with generous amounts of meat sauce that's a bit on the sweet side and plenty of crispy cheese on top. Definitely enough for leftovers the next day! Ravanelli's also has some of the best fried chicken around, daily specials, a lunch & senior special menu, and family specials to-go. Give them a try if you've never been! read more

We arrived early on a Friday evening, so no wait for a table. A very extensive menu but we came for the fried chicken (you have to look close to the small box on the bottom of the page). So glad we ordered the chicken! Attentive service even though the place started to get busy. Early 5pm-ish noise level great. 6pm a little hard to hear. Wish we'd had room for desert. read more

When we walked in, we saw the huge crowd which were mostly Elvis fans since there was a concert nearby. When we went to the hostess, she said it was a 30 minute wait. Turns out, it was a 90 minute wait. Prepare for longer wait times than they say. But we were entertained by all the Elvis fans and a priest and a nun who walked in. After that, we got sat down at our table. It was moderate noise despite the crowd and the Elvis fans. We just ordered water since we were not sure what to get yet. The menu items were reasonable. What I got for my appetizer is Garlic Cheese Bread. The Garlic Cheese Bread was delicious. The bread was perfectly cooked and the cheese was very cheesy, creamy and delicious. It also came with a soup and salad. I got a house salad with a tortellini soup. They forgot our silverware, so we notified the waiter and they instantly brought us back silverware. The salad and soup were amazing. The soup was warm and delicious and the salad was too. I also got the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. It was amazing. The sauce was creamy and the chicken was perfectly cooked. The noodles were also perfectly cooked/boiled. Will come back again. read more

Last visit I was in town it was amazing. The food just did not hit the mark tonight the toasted ravioli was overcooked and my friend got the fettuccine Alfredo and it was way over sauced to the point the noodles were swimming in sauce. Server appeared to be new and really didn't know the menu when we asked questions about items. read more

First time trying Ravanellis and wow they have everything on their menu. This place truly gives you what you pay for and more. The portions are huge. I love that every dish comes with a salad and soup. They have a few soups to choose from but the tortellini was so good. I just got the basic spaghetti but it was delish. We also got dessert and their desserts are insane! They have a few 6 layer cakes and pies. I got the snickers pie and it was amazing. Service was quick and super nice for a busy Saturday evening. They have a huge parking lot so no need to stress about parking. read more

I eat here often. Their chicken Alfredo is so good! I love their soups, and salad too. Their ranch is the best. I also like the rigatoni and fried chicken. I usually get carryout and the service is fast and good. Those ladies know what they're doing! The inside is very nice for dining in as well. Highly recommend read more

Absolutely love this restaurant. The service is hit and miss depend on who you get, but they are pretty pleasant. They have amazing fried chicken for an Italian restaurant too. You will never leave their hungry as each meal comes with a large salad and a soup as well as bread and garlic butter. If you go on your birthday and show them your ID, they will give you a slice of cake so big it takes four people to eat it. It is one of my favorite restaurants in the area and very reasonably priced. I always look forward to going here. read more

Always good food and friendly staff. Reasonably priced. A relaxed, comfortable setting.

Met my girlfriends at Ravanelli's in Collinsville for a long over due girl dinner. Never been to Ravanelli's before. It has a great looking bar (will visit that next time) Hit you like Bourbon and Blackberry.. I highly recommend the Blackberry Smash! For warned you get a lot of food !!! With whatever you order you get Soup and Salad!! Vegetable Beef Barley Soup and House salad with House Dressing was so good (nothing fancy but good). I think it is the homemade Garlic Ranch Dressing My Chopped Steak with grilled onion and mushrooms and brown gravy was tasty!! Baked potatoes are always a win! The Rigatoni and Ribeye looked Amazing as well!!! I had to take a piece of CoconurCream Pie home for later!!! The Dessert Case was jaw dropping as the 7 layer Carrot Cake and Chocolate cake were the size of my head if not bigger!!! They have locations in Granite City and Edwardsville (I believe). We stopped by for lunch mid-week, mid-afternoon, business was light, ambiance was typical and noise was light, a lot of seniors at this time of day. We wanted to try the buffet but discovered they're no longer offering the buffet, turning it into a bar instead. We were greeted and seated promptly and our order was quickly taken. We decided to try the fried chicken with two sides. I chose house salad and tortellini soup for my sides (no soup of the day for that day :() and the chicken also came with steak fries. Bread was served on the side and it was okay, fairly fresh sliced Italian bread. Our meals were served fairly quickly so we began to dig in, only to discover my the dishwasher hadn't done a very good job with my knife. No, problem, it happens, knife was quickly replaced. The chicken was okay, the kind mom made at Sunday dinner. It was seasoned well and the breast was still moist. This is a subjective thing but I just wasn't a big fan of the breading, medium thickness but not crispy. If you're a fan of homestyle fried chicken, you may like this. If you're a fan of KFC's extra crispy, you'll be disappointed. Sadly, the steak fries were a disaster. Have you ever taken home leftover fries and tried to reheat them in the microwave? I tried that once, never again, but that was what the steak fries tasted like, warm, soggy, and off tasting. I suspect they'd been under the heat lamp for far too long. The house salad was good, fresh vegetables and small tasty croutons. We really enjoyed the salads. The tortellini soup was just okay, salty with what appeared to be a chicken broth base. I may have enjoyed it more if it wasn't so salty. On to the dessert. . . My wife ordered the coconut cream pie and it was very tasty. I ordered the carrot cake. OMFG!!! It was huge and it was delicious, one of my all time favorite carrot cakes. After taking one bite of it, my wife wished she was eating my carrot cake despite her coconut cream pie being tasty. I ate about 1/5 of it, brought the rest home and we got 4 more servings out of it. The carrot cake is a home run! So: 5 stars for service, 4 stars for the coconut cream pie, 6 stars for the carrot cake, 3 stars for the chicken, 4 stars for the salad, 1 star for the steak fries, and 3 stars for the tortellini soup. We MAY go back to try something else for lunch next time but we'll DEFINITELY be back for the carrot cake. read more

Ravanelli's was crowded on a Tuesday night. It was filled with locals who come for the good food and the large portions. The soup and salad would normally be enough for a dinner. I had the chicken Parmesan and it was enormous. It sat on a full order of spaghetti which came with marinara or meat sauce the desserts looked great but we were too full. The only thing keeping this from being a four star review was the bread. It was very mediocre. I expected much better bread from an Italian restaurant. It was stale and dry. It was like Wonder Bread when we were expecting a real Italian bread with a real crust. I suggest they start serving a garlic knot or a focaccia if they can't get a crusty Italian bread. read more

Ravanelli's is such a hometown staple! I worked there right out of high school, I've eaten there many times over the last 2 decades. Been meaning to check out Ravanelli's since they remodeled And I'm so glad we finally did! They are very much known for their chicken, which I know that I love, but I decided to go with a pasta dish this time. I went with the king pasta pie, which is every bit as filling as it sounds. Honestly, we were full before we even got our food because they give such a generous salad with some amazing bread not to mention a soup choice. I have still got leftovers three days later. Everything was great and the service was outstanding. Our server was named Lexie and she was amazing! We will definitely be back more often! Oh and don't forget to get carrot cake. The size of the slice of cake we got to go Insane, and we may never be able to finish it! Great beer, selection, and tons of wine. You won't be disappointed! read more

Fried Chicken was dry & tough. Nightly special was billed as a Rib Eye had no marbeling like typical cut. Rubbery Meatballs. Great food and service! What a gem of a restaurant in Collinsville! Been there twice and have yet to be disappointed. Highly recommend

nice atmosphere and good food, a little high in price but not bad. It is food, not burgers from McDonald's.

Amazing food at an affordable price! I took a a friend to dinner here and we had a wonderful experience. Great location (for us) and the layout was very relaxing. Service was good but they got a few things wrong in one order and we had to ask for.them to fix it (to include one dish was cold). Overall the food was good and we had a good evening. We'll be back read more

While the staff were quite nice onsite, follow-up over the phone was superior and remedial. She was defensive and demeaning and refused to allow me to get any resolution. She NEVER seemed to care at all that I was a customer of theirs. And she certainly didn't care whether I ever come back or recommend them. My meal was atrocious. The only thing I can recommend is the garlic dressing. I sent my steak back and it came out still undercooked and so stringy with fat that I only ate about half of it. While I was offered a complimentary dessert, what I wanted was a good mid-western steak and a "Steakhouse". THIS IS NOT THAT PLACE. read more

We visited Ravanelli's recently with our grandchildren. We have been there many, many times and have never been disappointed. As always, we were greeted promptly by a friendly hostess. We were seated in the bar area for the first time because the dining room was very busy. It was actually nice to be in a quieter area. I ordered the cannelloni for the first time. My sides were tortellini soup and a salad with Caesar dressing. My husband got spaghetti with meatballs. His sides were tomato soup and a salad with Caesar dressing as well. Our granddaughter got the kids meal of two chicken drumsticks with fries. Our grandson got the kids meal of pizza. The pizza was the regular dinner size so he shared with his sister. All the food was great as always. They have a good selection of choices on their menu including steaks, fried chicken, meatloaf, etc. and we've always liked everything we've tried. Server was courteous and efficient. We love supporting non-chain restaurants like Ravanelli's and highly recommend checking it out! read more

Went for lunch, most smallest chicken pieces, like from a mini chicken. The Italian beef was grossly overloaded with fat. Won't be going back anytime soon read more

This was terrible!! If I could score less than one I would. The half and half has Alfredo on 1 half and meat sauce on the other. The Alfredo doesn't even taste like there was cheese in it and the meat sauce just taste like jar sauce with extra sugar in it. The beef barley soup taste like some thing out of a can and the tortellini soup was watery. We had to send the food back but still paid $20 for for the very pitiful salads that came with the meal. We were very hopeful but this just was NOT good read more

Very pleased! Like the diverse menu selections! Food was very good! Portion sizes are generous! Love the soup and salad w/entree offering! Our waitress, Abby, was wonderful! Very attentive, friendly, one step ahead of our needs! We WILL be back! Worth the 20-30 minute drive. Their cakes are to die for! Share a piece or take some home! A couple recommendations... cut the steak fries. Go with slimmer fries. Side salad could be better. Some red onion? Also, croutons were tiny, like bagged ones. My blue cheese dressing had no crumbles, very little blue cheese flavor. Military/Retired Military discount also MUCH appreciated! Comfortable giving them a 4-star rating read more

Everyone enjoyed our food. The King Pasta Pie was delicious with huge meatballs! The steak and shrimp special was very good, steak was tender. Our waiter did an awesome job! This is such a cute place! Be aware that they don't take reservations except for parties over 8, so expect a wait. We will definitely come back! read more

PLEASE READ this whole review. The food took two hours, the orders weren't correct, and they failed to put two orders in. I wouldn't go there for free food. We booked a party of 18 and the only had one server while the owners friend sat and talked to other employees who didn't do anything to help our server who was doing a good job by himself. They had two employees sitting talking to the owner's friend the whole time instead of helping our server. One was the manager who told us about the two meals that they forget to put in that at least they got their soup and salad. They sent us with the two missed weals to go since it was over two hours to fee the food. The food was not good. The owner should make sure his friend isn't distracting the employees and bragging how he knows the owner. The friend even had the nerve to be rude to our party and tell us how he was best friends with the owner. Bad look for the business. He should choose better friends. On the positive, our waiter was a very nice and polite man wish I could have said the same about the other people. If i could give zero stars I would. I wish I would have read the reviews ahead of time. All true. read more

I'm happy to report things went better tonight then the last time we were here. After several years we decided to give this place another try...okay, I decided! I was a little worried because if it was bad, it would be my fault for picking this place! Ha! Our server was fast, nice and took good care of us. Hubby had a ribeye steak and it was cooked perfectly and he said it tasted great. I had the fried chicken. The pieces were kind of scrawny, but did taste good. The salad and soup were still good, they come out together now. The entire place had been remodeled since our last visit. It looks real nice, with wooden tables and cool lights! We are traveling through and came here for supper as it is located amongst the hotel area. We arrived early (5ish) on Friday night, were seated immediately by Melodie our waitress.
