The poke bowl was very good. The "pork prime rib" was an overpriced dry pork chop. $18 for some so-so cookies for dessert. Service was very good. They are new so I'll give them another chance. Such a beautiful restaurant. I can tell they have really put everything into providing a more upscale dining experience to Ofallon. The service was also fantastic. Although we came in on a very busy night and sat at the bar, any of the employees we interacted with were friendly and engaging, thus making our experience even better. Now onto the food and drinks. I had their Back to Black and Paper Plane cocktail and both were delicious. The food was to die for. We had both seafood specials and they were amazing. We live a few blocks from the restaurant, and were celebrating our 8 year anniversary, so we made a reservation for 6:30 on Saturday night. I was so excited to try Le Ono, because it's an upscale restaurant in O'Fallon and I've heard good things. We arrived at 6:20, checked in, and were told our table wasn't ready yet so we could have a seat at the bar. The decor is unique, they have beds of moss hanging above the tables which looks to me like moss is going to fall in my food lol. After sitting in the lounge area for about 10 minutes, the hostess came over and asked me again for my name. She said our table would be ready soon. We were finally seated at 6:50. I ordered a specialty cocktail, strawberry lemonade, which was absolutely delicious. I had two and caught a buzz. My husband just had water. The menu is very small, not a lot of choices. And everything is super overpriced. I had a $24 beet salad that was great, but it was a pretty small portion. For dinner, I had the 7 oz petite filet which I loved. My husband ordered the roasted chicken, which he didn't care for. The chicken was undercooked and tiny, served on a smudge of mashed potatoes with 2 baby carrots. My husband and I had two totally different experiences at Le Ono. I enjoyed my drinks and meal, liked the atmosphere, thought the service was good, and would go back. My husband thought it was a joke- for what you get for the price, he will never go back. This is definitely a special occasion type of place. Im giving it 3 stars because I combined our experiences and split the difference. read more

Service and atmosphere was great. Lobster Rangoon's were amazing. My wife's halibut was very good. I really want to love this place but here are a few of the not so good things. Huge ice cube in the whiskey glass left little for actual whiskey. Wine was not very good. Tasted like very cheap wine and I've a lot of wine over the years. My 50 dollar steak was overcooked and the mashed potatoes were cold. I should have cut into the middle of the steak first because I probably would've sent it back. Dessert was very good and the espresso martini was pretty good as well. Pretty expensive place should really step up their quality of wine and cooking. read more

A much needed addition to O'Fallon! The vibe is relaxed, cool, and very Instagramable but even better is the food and drink! The menu is seasonal and ever changing but we were lucky to enjoy the shrimp and crab salad, bone marrow, roasted potatoes and Kobe beef, and the Branzino. All were seasoned well and prepared with great technique! The salad was fresh with a nice kick from the sweet chili dressing, the Kobe beef and potatoes were amped with crunch, tenderness, and the creamy horseradish complimented it perfectly! The Branzino was such a happy surprise to see on the menu as you don't see it often at many other places nearby and was flaky, moist, and super fresh! Service by Nick was attentive yet non intrusive as well as other staff stopping by. The cocktail, wine, and spirits menu is creative snd plentiful! The price point is fair for the quality! Great place for a date night or special celebration! The bar side is hip and relaxed with drinks and small bites! There is a parking lot and also outdoor seating. Their Fall menu will be rolled out in a few weeks and we cannot wait to return! read more

Interesting upscale place for the O'fallon Illinois area which is what piqued my interest. The restaurant itself is beautiful inside; very nicely decorated. The cocktails were tasty, but $$. Service was fine. The food was a bit lackluster for the prices. I love a small rotating menu but wish there was a bit more variety overall. I had the tiger shrimp and crab salad (I think it was $25) and it was okay. Also tried the tempura carrots and shishito peppers ($16). I think both dishes could have been more flavorful. Portion sizes were much bigger than I expected based on some of the photos here on Yelp, so that was nice! I did notice that Yelp has their history of health inspection grades and on their last one they got a 71 which is probably the lowest score I have ever seen. Even some of the not so nice and not at all upscale hole in the wall spots I frequent get 99-100 on their health inspections. So for this upscale place to get a 71 was a little shocking especially considering they have not even been open for a full year. I would come back here for cocktails again but probably not for dinner again anytime soon unless they add something to the menu that sounds really good to me. The food just didn't wow me for the price. Our server did mention that the chef is still deciding what to keep on the menu. I do admire the vibe/aesthetic they're going for and love this place as a new addition to the area, as there is really nothing comparable like this in the vicinity! read more

An absolutely incredible dining experience! The east side of the river really needed an elevated and fresh restaurant. Quite the detour from the hundreds of chain restaurants, my dinner was absolutely amazing and brought back memories of growing up on the west coast with many meals of fresh caught fish. Service was great. Highlights for me were the Mai Thai and all of the appetizers so that my friends and I could order many things and share before each committing to our individual mains. My husband and I dined at the restaurant on Saturday 10/19 to celebrate our anniversary. We live near Edwardsville and have plenty of outstanding restaurants in Edwardsville to choose from. I like to try new restaurants (and am willing to venture to St. Louis) so I researched St. Louis Magazine to see what the best rated restaurants are in the St. Louis are when trying to decide where to dine. Imagine my surprise when I saw Le Ono on the list....I didn't even know it existed. We dine at Peel (across the street) from Le Ono on occasion and always saw this place but didn't realize it was a restaurant. Well, let me you it didn't disappoint! My husband ordered the Rib Eye steak. It was cooked to perfection and came with broccolini and fries. I stole some of his fries and they were really good...to the point of not even needing catsup. I ordered the Sweet and Sour Crispy Tofu (I am a vegetarian). For you vegetarians out there...the tofu was cooked to perfection. It came with very favorable fried rice (looked almost like black rice to me), broccolini and mushrooms. Both meals were excellent. I couldn't wait to eat my leftovers the next day. The wait staff was very attentive (both owners stopped by several time to check on us which made us feel very special). We both ordered Old Fashions and while they didn't come with a Luxardo cherry...but honestly it didn't need it. The drinks very good (even to an Old Fashion snob). We split the Roasted sweet potato lentil salad (very good). The pudding on the cake however, was the bread pudding. Probably the best I have ever had. read more

The ambiance is very comfortable minus the loud noise, and the tight seating arrangements recommend going early if you're planning on talking. After we finished eat we asked if we could sit in the lounge that looked like a beach side cabana.
