While the crew was friendly and polite, their inexperience resulted in several damages to our property. We contacted Bobby the day of the move, he assured us he would have his fabric specialist contact us re: the dirt/grease stains on our year-old mattress. There were 5 other items damaged, including a brand new fridge that had dents & scratches on the front. He took $130 off our total bill & based on our previous experience with him, we paid him, with his assurance someone would contact us. It's been over 2 weeks & we STILL haven't heard from anyone. We've left several messages for Bobby, texted him, & sent 2 emails with absolutely no response. Not ok to ghost a customer. Just to see, I spent a day calling around for quotes. Some places wanted nearly $300/hr plus a long laundry list of hidden fees, and I thought there was no way it was worth it. But the last company I called was Sterling Interstate, and wow--what a breath of fresh air. We had already dealt with a lot of stress while closing on our first home, and we just needed a reliable team to cross the finish line. The moving industry doesn't always have the best reputation, so I was praying they'd be good--and they turned out to be the absolute best. Not only is their hourly rate very fair for the quality of work, but they also don't hit you with random fees. My husband and I had our home 95% packed and stacked, leaving them to navigate moving everything down a flight of stairs and prepping/packing the larger furniture. Since this was our first time hiring movers, we were blown away: they wrapped and packed everything like it was going cross-country! Even knowing it was only a 15-minute drive, they took zero chances with damage, and everything arrived completely untouched. We moved from AZ to TX and upon our furniture being unloaded in TX we found that the center…read moresupports had been broken on our TV stand and our daughter's dresser. The movers in AZ had known this was broken because the leg for the dresser was wrapped in plastic and shoved under the tarp covering the dresser. We were never informed that it had been broken. We filed a claim, since this was a brand new dresser and it's unsafe to have in our baby's room. We were denied because we did not inform the movers it was broken before they left the premises in AZ, but to know it was broken we would have had to been able to inspect all the furniture in the truck which is impossible to do when it's loaded. Plus, if the movers knew they broke it, we should have been notified by them. Getting a response from our claim agent takes multiple follow ups, where they tell me the same information and do not answer any of my follow-up questions, despite telling me to reach back out if I have any questions. Moving is always a stressful time, and now we have the added stress of trying to receive some compensation so we can replace furniture that was knowingly broken.

Tim and his staff were very gracious in being able to help me twice in essentially the same week for both moves I had, going to and from the same locations. I appreciate him and his company for their help and I plan on reaching out if I ever end up having another domestic move here in the future! As a side note, he charges/quotes based on the furniture you have over hours of service. I found this to be cheaper than other companies out there (especially if you just have one room of furniture like I did) so he's really nice for smaller moves like mine and I recommend him as well because of this. He even helped my mom take an old TV stand to consignment for us which was very much an appreciated favor of his company with the original job and furniture that I had with him.
