Cyndy M working there was rudest waitress i've ever had. All we did was sit down and she was immediately rude. I ordered one item and immediately she cut me off and didn't get to order anything else. She was only rude to me and my friend assuming because we do look a bit younger. When she gave us our check i asked again if they took apple pay as it was a paper. She replied saying "you already asked me that." Then when she gave me the paper to add a tip i put down only a few bucks because a tip is earned and not expected. When she picked up the check she said "zero." assuming she was talking about the tip and walked away even though there was a tip. Her rude remarks made it very awkward to be around and shows she is only there for tips and not trying to earn it. Maybe she thought we were a tourist but we are local. Hope Cyndy can fix her issues and not treat customers with disrespect. Food was alright tho! read more

Great view of the beach and plenty of sitting. Ordered a pina colada drink and I felt I was going to get diabetes from it. It was so sweet and the pineapple flavor was off putting. At the poolside bar, I ordered a couple of cold drinks and some chicken tendies. The vibe was laid back, the bartenders were friendly and it was easy to get their attention. They immediately prepped the drinks and told me to come back in 10 minutes for the tendies; I came back 5 minutes later, and the tendies were ready within a couple minutes of arriving. I really liked this restaurant at the Hilton village! It was definitely the most friendly and had great tacos! I ordered the 3 taco plate with steak and they were big and delicious! Of all the places here in the village, this is by far the most reasonable in cost, and has a great location -- near the beach and the pool, plus you can see the back side of the luau dancers and hear the musicians from the pool area. The food and drink are pricey for the serving sizes, but they are good, and as I said, it will be the most affordable meal you'll find in the village (an actual sit-down meal, not the deli) unless you ran to a convenience store somewhere and heated up a meal in a microwave. The service here is top notch. They are typically quite busy since it is smaller than many of the surrounding restaurants, but they keep the food coming out, and the beverages keep on coming. A great way to relax near the beach, and if you time your meal right, you'll be ready for the evening fireworks as you finish up. read more

My family and I really liked this restaurant at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. We ate here twice during our 1 week stay. Sure the prices are on the higher side since they are in the resort but the convenience of not having to walk in the heat to a nearby restaurant was worth it esp since their tacos are really good! The service is also really nice and friendly as the waitresses that helped us made sure to check up on us during the meal to make sure all was well. On our first visit, the hostess helped us to carry our baby in the stroller down a few flight of steps without us even asking for help. Staying in this hotel, we had a plethora of places to get a drank. My buddy Xerxes and I drank a lot....A LOT on this trip, however not that many of our dranks for somethin' frozen. You'd think that would be our go-to, since it was hot, it's paradise, it's what you immediately think of, but alas, we mainly filled up on beer and cocktails. However, with about 20 minutes to spare before going to swim with sea turtles (I know, RIGHT?!?!), we plopped up to the bar to get something cold. We ended up going with the banana boat, that was similar to a pina colada, but very different from a banana hammock. Our bartender Edy was the man! Super nice and made this quick pitstop memorable. He told us about his family, how he ended up in Hawaii and he made a killer drink. We chugged them down, and headed over to the pier to catch the boat. Feeling somewhat numb - was it because it was frozen, or really strong? Who knows, but we went swimming with turtles yo.....TURTLES! (PS- we weren't really drunk. I think it's only fair to say I've been coming to this beach since I was 12 (not the bar!). I've been coming to the bar since I was 'legal'. First it was Joe - who warmed my heart and my friends with his friendly demeanor and toothpick tricks. So upon a trip this year - the saying was, "Joe who?" (No disrespect Joe - all in fun. And you can tease Edy about this!) Edy is the guy! He's personable, makes GREAT drinks, has amazing toothpick (actually stir stick tricks) up his sleeve and definitely brought the bar together while we drank and tried to solve the puzzles (sometimes difficult depending on the amount of alcohol already in ones system). Edy is all about Aloha and someone you definitely want to get to know. So here's to Edy! (Looking forward to seeing you later this year.) read more

Took mom here for her Birthday brunch. She ordered the Lobster Benedict. They gave her ham. Mom didn't want to make a fuss on her birthday to keep things pleasant. However, we were sharing the items family style. When I got the other half I realized it wasn't what we had ordered. When I told the waitress about, she decided to send out a complimentary slice of cake for mom but didn't remake the right order or take the mistake off our bill. I didn't push it further because I didn't want my mom to feel bad during her birthday meal but underneath I was extremely frustrated since I was the one paying the entire bill for the four of us and I didn't get to eat what I had wanted to. We often order several items and share it and I really wanted the lobster. What do you guys think? Located in the Hilton Village, it's one of the bars near the big pool. They close early in the evening and due to the fact of the pool closing for the night as well. They only have a select few drink specials throughout the week so it's not easy on the wallet. I think we spent about $25 for two drinks- one being a beer. Ouch. But again, I expect that here. The bartenders were really nice and attentive. Always checking on us with a smile. There are several screens along the back with sports games on. It was nice for the hubby to catch the Vikings game while out of town. Yeah they could be better but it could be worse. :) read more

This bar is located next to the Super Pool and the Rainbow Tower. It is a very nice location as far a a view of the surf and sand. This place used to sell Round Table Pizza that was very popular. Now they only sell sandwiches and salads. Very limited menu and the bartender told me that if I wanted to order from the menu that I would have to ask a waiter! Not sure why I could not order from him since I was sitting at the bar. The Mai Tai is pretty good here although they seem to get smaller and smaller and the prices are higher and higher. It is around $12 for one now. The beer is a rip off even for a resort. With tax a regular draft beer is around $10!!! I never paid that much anywhere! I have been to some really nice bars in hotels and never paid anything more than $8. What I really don't like about this place are the bartenders. They are not very service oriented. They rush customers when the customer wants to order. I saw one of the bartenders actually grab a customer (Japanese) wallet and take out the money for their tab. Very unprofessional. That is not how you help a guest!!! This place has a lot going for it, but the staff needs some training when dealing with customers. With the prices they charge here, you think that they would do better! read more

I stopped while at the beach to have a quick drink, I must say the drink was perfect, and the waiter was incredible, and good conversation. I don't typically drink w/out eating so I took under consideration the food comes from around the corner so I said no worries and ordered the chicken wings. Can you possibly go wrong on Chicken Wings..NO.. and to my surprise, the chicken wings were fresh, hot, and good. The server forgot my sauce, within 5 minutes I had sauce and was dipping everything. Overall, its a nice little spot off the beach next to the hotel, can't go wrong, keep it simple. If you want dinner, or 5 star this isn't it. It serves its purpose. read more

We have been on the missions for the last few trips to find the best mai tai on Waikiki Beach. The Hau Tree Bar at the Hilton or Hawai'ian Village is by far the worst one so far. About the only flavor is sour mix. We can't taste pineapple or even rum. The presentation is just as bad with a cheap disposable plastic glass. A lime wedge was carelessly tossed on top and half of a too large, unpeeled pineapple slice stuffed down the side of the glass. Bad job all the way around. We won't be bothering to order food. read more

After a day of beaching it, 6 of us came here for lunch. Great setting outside. The food was great. I had chipotle shrimp tacos. My husband had a pork burrito, another friend had the mushroom burrito. The food would be 4 stars. The service lowered the rating. We received our appetizer without our drinks. We all were dying of thirst from being in the sun all day and asked for waters from the get-go. Somebody in our group went up to the bar to say please, may we just have cups and pitchers of water, we will be happy to serve ourselves. And the guy said no, we're not allowed to do that. We had to sit there and wait until the waitress came over with the drinks, waters. And then our food took 27 minutes which is a long time for food that should be pretty simple to make. read more
