The ambience of this place is 5 stars. But the best thing was the food. The steak I had was cooked perfectly and my family's meals were equally exceptional. This restaurant was recommended by the desk clerk at our hotel. She said be sure to try the chicken soup. When we arrived, we were quickly seated (Tuesday night at 6pm). Connie, our server, was prompt and so friendly. We explained how the restaurant was recommended, especially the soup. The manager, Patrick, stopped by our table to welcome us in. We had the artichoke dip appetizer the salmon salad and the prime rib sandwich. I wish I had room for the butter cake dessert. It sounded decadent! Connie told us the lighting sculpture over the dining room. It is two arches from a church in Houston. It has oversized light bulbs that add to the design. Connie is the best server. She has been at Harvey's 13 years. Ask for her. You will not be disappointed in Harvey's or with Connie. I would give it 10 stars if I could. read more

We have given Harvey's several tries and each time someone has a terrible meal. They are not consistent with their food. Our waitress was extremely rude which has turned us off to dine here again. Dining out is expensive, so it is not worth being treated as an inconvenience. read more

The ambience here is classy-casual, so pretty much no matter how you're dressed you'll be fine. There is both table and booth seating, so we grabbed a booth. Wait staff was genuinely friendly and very attentive. And the food was awesome. I had the blackened catfish served over cheese grits and topped with collared greens, and it was absolutely perfect. Add a sweet tea and some Mississippi mud cake topped with ice cream and peaches for desert...and I was in my deep-south heaven. My only suggestion would be to get there early. We arrived and was seated right away and was asked if we was celebrating anything and told them we was celebrating our 17 year wedding anniversary. They told us that they do offer free dessert for that and suprised my wife with a single rose which was above and beyond service. Came here with a group of 12-15 a little while back and we really enjoyed ourselves. There is something on the menu for everyone and the staff was attentive and serviceable. I enjoyed a wonderful steak with sautéed vegetables and was very happy with everything! With so many people we tried many different cuts and types of meat and I don't believe anyone left disappointed. This isn't exactly the type of place I can afford to come to very frequently, but it's sure to be a highlight whenever I can. read more

I was in Tupelo with a coworker for a meeting and several friends had recommended Harvey's for dinner. I'm so glad we listened! Ella, our server, made great recommendations and the food was delicious. We both had Honey Pepper Salmon, at Ella's recommendation, and it was delicious! That sauce is some kind of magic. Quiche no longer in menu so I ordered the Breakfast scramble! Sounded okay but was a jumbled mess that was not even pretty when it first came out! No flavor and was just sort of non descript! A brunch companion ordered the tomato pie, was pretty much the same! A couple of people ordered the croissant breakfast sandwich. Looked amazing but was way too much, difficult to cut and eat! First, let me express my gratitude of their staff seating my party of 14 quickly after church during a seemingly busy time for them. Our server was amazing! He was prompt, attentive and engaging. I believe his name was Jason, but I'm not sure. Unfortunately, the food fell flat for us. I had the Honey Pepper Salmon and it was very overcooked. At one point, I had to use a knife to cut it. My daddy had a brunch skillet that specifically mentioned being smothered with a sausage gravy. It didn't come with a gravy and the chef said they no longer offered the gravy on that dish. His skillet was very dry and lackluster. My daughter had the Filet Mignon and Cheesy Omelet, to which she believed she was going to be served steak and an omelet. She ended up just eating the steak out of the omelet and was still hungry. Had the description been more detailed, she would have opted to order a steak. Hopefully the chef will make some adjustments to the menu and the depth of flavor to offer the quality of food they used to be known for. Even having sub-par food, I will continue to patron Harvey's because of the extraordinary service! From the moment you walk in until the moment you leave, you will feel the hospitality! I stopped here passIng through town, and it was too good not to Yelp about. I had Prime Rib, which almost melted in my mouth! It was juicy and delicious.
