Took my parents. Small fish plate. Basic burger and fries. Nothing impressive. Won't be back.

My husband had the BLTC sandwich, and I had the Blue Canoe Burger. We both got orders of Truffle fries. My husband raved about how good his sandwich was. My burger was absolutely fantastic. The blue cheese and bacon jam complemented each other very well. I love that the burgers are handmade and fresh, instead of machine-formed and frozen. The truffle fries were awesome and the toppings on the fries just took it up a notch! We got a prepackaged homemade Mocha Chocolate Cake to take home. It was also fantastic. The cake was chocolate on top of chocolate and very moist. If the restaurant was closer to us, we would probably go every week. We will definitely be going back!!!!!!!

The burgers are made fresh and have some really unique topping combinations, so there are plenty of options if you want something besides a basic cheeseburger. Service has always been fast when we've been, and the atmosphere is very casual and laid-back. Don't be surprised when your burger comes out served on a piece of paper instead of a plate. that's part of the experience and one of the things that makes this place a little different. The vibe was off! Sunday was like shut off at the bar aftwr 3pm nort good, and we did not have access to the bar area to play the checkers or shuffel board. We were forced to go on 2nd floor balcony where a bounch of teenagers were overtaking the area. Im very certain they were not patrons of Hotel Tupelo as they kept taking the side steps in and out of the hotel. Has hotel Tupelo & Jobos lost its? This is/was our place to go to get out of town in Columbus MS. Wondering if we need to look at other places to get away. I hope they really look into this vibe that has changed. They should consider staying open till 6pm on sunday. And make sure the ataff is vetting people the enter the building. I brought my wife back here Aug 2nd 26 for her birthday because she had faith it was (last visit) a fluk. Well here we are and same same. I hope this review is taken serious. For nearly $20, I received one piece of fish and four very small strips, which didn't come close to justifying the price. I left feeling like the portions were unnecessarily limited for what I paid. The quality of the food was there, but the value simply wasn't. I hope management reevaluates the portion sizes because customers shouldn't feel shortchanged after spending that much.

I tried only the catfish nachos from the menu, and they lived up to their billing. The catfish was expertly blackened, the balance between fish, chips, cheese, and sauces was perfect, and a half-order was plenty for one person. Unexpectedly bang-on as a flavor & texture combo, the only thing the nachos lacked was a tastier beer accompaniment. Since this is a little-known, hard-to-spot and relatively small neighborhood bar, almost everyone who comes in is a local regular who sits in the same spot every day. So, only the most mainstream of mainstream beer is available, tap or bottle. I made do with a draft Shiner Bock, which was fine, but I encourage management to broaden their clientele's tastes a bit for their own benefit, as well as for the occasional out-of-towner intrigued by the Yelp review and/or looking for food at an off-hour. That said, everyone is very friendly and welcoming, and Rachel deserves all the accolades she gets in the reviews -- the very model of a tavern proprietor. You go, Rachel!

Our family recently visited Texas Roadhouse and unfortunately the entire experience was extremely…read moredisappointing from start to finish. We arrived around 2:30 on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant was not packed, we didn't have to wait for a table, and there appeared to be plenty of staff working. Despite that, our visit lasted nearly TWO HOURS from the time we were seated until we finally received our check. Our waiter seemed completely unable to manage multiple tasks at once. It took 20 minutes just to receive two Cokes and two sweet teas. Our appetizers took another 30 minutes after that. We didn't even receive our actual meals until about an hour and a half into the experience. What made it even more frustrating was the amount of staff visibly gathered throughout the restaurant laughing, gossiping, and socializing instead of helping customers. It genuinely felt like customer service was the least important thing happening there. The final straw was the restroom situation. The "family restroom" might as well be renamed the employee restroom. My husband and daughter stood waiting while employees continuously went in and out as if it were reserved for staff use only. Then when I entered the women's restroom, it felt more like walking into a high school hallway than a restaurant bathroom. Multiple groups of female employees were gathered inside laughing and gossiping, blocking the space, and after waiting several minutes I realized many of them weren't even waiting for stalls -- they were simply hanging out in the restroom. To top it all off, the food itself was subpar at best. Our steaks were overcooked, and the appetizers tasted like they had been sitting under heat lamps for far too long before ever reaching our table. Every concern, question, or complaint we brought up was met with irritation or complete nonchalance instead of any attempt to correct the situation. Needless to say, our family will NOT be returning to this location.
