Brick & Spoon is a fantastic breakfast and brunch spot in Tupelo! I ordered the Bayou Benedict, and it was fresh, flavorful, and very tasty. The poached eggs were a little more done than I typically prefer, but I still thoroughly enjoyed the dish. The coffee was delicious, and one of our group ordered a custom Bloody Mary that was outstanding. Our server, Jo Lynn, was awesome! She was friendly, attentive, and made our visit even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was welcoming, and we had a great overall experience. The only suggestion I'd make is to offer fried green tomatoes as a substitute for the biscuit that comes with the Bayou Benedict. I think that would be a delicious option and make an already great dish even better. If Mighty McFly is ever back in the Tupelo area, we'll definitely be stopping by again. We came here for brunch over the weekend and it's clearly a hot spot. The wait was 45minutes but I don't think we actually waited that long. I ordered the omelet with fruit and a pancake. The pancake was huge but good. I'd opt for no powdered sugar next time but it was still good. The omelet was also huge but very flavorful. Our waitress was nice and accommodating. This was my first time coming here, and I totally recommend it! It was really busy, we were quoted a 35-40-minute wait, but we didn't end up waiting that long. Since it was just the two of us, we grabbed seats at the bar instead. We ordered pineapple mimosas, and the bartender actually suggested getting the full bottle of champagne because it was a better deal. She was right: $22 for the bottle vs. $28 for four individual mimosas. Easy choice! I went with the Tupelo Honey Chick, and it was amazing! The sriracha honey drizzle was the perfect touch, sweet, spicy, and really good with the chicken and sunny‑side‑up egg. It was a lot of food, super filling, and worth it. I didn't realize this was a chain when we decided to eat here. My bad. Our server was fantastic! She had the whole place and worked as a greeter and server. She was very busy but managed to get to everyone. The beignets had way too much powdered sugar (I ordered light sugar based on photos I had seen beforehand). My brother wanted to get breakfast here so it was the perfect opportunity for me to see if it is as good as the first time. I placed the order for pick up and the lady that I spoke with was friendly and helpful. I was surprised that it was not as busy as the last time, sure there were a few diners but nothing like before. It's a cute and cozy place. I made it back and the food was still warm so I plated it up, took a few pics and dove right in. Yes, it's as delicious as before! I got The Bayou Tomatoes again. it's fried green tomatoes with a crawfish and shrimp sauce. Overall it was great! I just had a few things that I think should be known before you go. Walked in on a Friday morning, not busy and was a great location. Sat at the bar, got a to-go order. Ordered the Tupelo honey chicken, side of bacon, some beignets and a coffee. Why did that equal $33????? Ok so there is an up charge for the eggs, and that's understandable but dang. There is a "service charge of $3 and THREE different taxes charged. If you know this walking into the place to eat, the bill won't be a surprise. That all being said. The employees were nice and attentive. Food came out fast and since it was to-go, all packaged nicely. No problems when I opened it later. Now the food? AMAZING! The food was so good! I love brick & spoon.. I was going 2 to 3 times out of a week!! the service is wonderful, especially the bar area. The mimosas are great especially on Tuesday. You get 2for1. They do have deals throughout the week but not on the weekends. the atmosphere is great kind friendly people!! great place to go for something quick or on the go!! although they do keep busy, so I suggest arriving early... Reviews are full of haters! First, best dam cup of coffee on the Natchez Trace Parkway!! Our server had hot Beinets on our table before she took our breakfast order! Came in for a Brunch meal not from this area and what a delicious meal experience! The sweet young waitress was very attentive and helpful with many delicious variety of dishes to choose from. I spotted the bananas foster pancakes, which were amazing. It made me think I was on Bourbon Street in New Orleans. I highly, highly recommend those. Next I had 2 eggs and 3 nice crispy pieces of bacon and coffee that was always kept filled. I typically would not have eaten all of this but I was traveling so the leftovers would not have made it to my home destination. If you are hungry and want the taste of a bit of New Orleans and Tupelo Honey restaurant type recipes I would highly suggest you make this a definite dining choice. There were many items on their menu I recognize from Tupelo Honey's menu on there. I would give this restaurant and experience a 10 out of 10! Great Job!! Best meal I had during my 2 day stay. What a pleasant surprise and addition to the Tupelo area this is. We enjoyed the Cafe Beignets to get started. I followed with the Tupelo Honey Chick, which is "an open-faced biscuit smothered in sausage gravy, topped with two (2) chicken tenders, two sunny-side eggs & drizzled with sriracha honey." The food was excellent. The service (I believe our server said her name was Essence) was equally outstanding. The atmosphere while small/medium sized, is friendly and inviting. At around 10:00am they started live music, for a nice brunch feel. I would definitely recommend, and will be returning. read more

Stood at the hostess stand in front of the wait to be seated sign and watch 3-4 employees walk by and look at me standing there waiting, finally got seated. Hubby got the steak omelet and didn't eat it. Kids got French toast and shared it, it looked yummy. I just got a side of shrimp and grits, which were good. Our server was good, she was very nice and polite, but service was slow overall for not being busy and she did apologize for the wait. My only real complaint is being charged 18% grat, she said they charge for parties 5+... our fifth was our 7mo baby... it was two adults, a 2yo, 4yo and a baby. I feel like gratting us was a reach. So be ware, they grat for babies lol weird. Other than that, I can see this being a hot spot especially for drinks. We won't be back tho, sorry. I've been a server and I would not have gratted us. This was such an amazing find!! Close to the interstate and very fast service, perfect for travelers. The brunch menu has something for everyone. We had the Bayou Benedict and King Cake Beignets and both were absolutely fantastic. The Bayou Benedict had just enough spice to balance the creamy sauce and fluffy biscuits. Yeesh. Someone seasoned with their heart and their heart was overflowing. Deviled eggs: cool idea! Poorly executed and unbearably salty. Cajun omelette: are those eggs? The seasoning was so thick in the eggs it looked like confetti. Servers and hostess: friendly and attentive. Biscuits: perfect. Jam: some other food was accidentally dropped in it, so I don't bother. Poached egg over medium: served as egg over easy with crispy edges. Grits: nothing out of this world, but as expected. If we lived nearby and weren't just driving through, we would not return. Heading home from Arkansas, we decided to take an alternate route. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Brick & Spoon in Gulfport so decided to try this one. They're as different as night and day. The wait was not bad to me, 20 minutes is something we waste in Walmart so we were prepared. The Gulfport location ambience and customer service is top tier. Our waitress could have been more attentive and helpful but maybe she was having a bad day because I have those. The food also leaves a lot to be desired. Att the direction of my server, I ordered the Tupelo Honey Chick eggs Benedict. It was beautiful. I couldn't wait to dig in.... It was fine. I order such a splurge dish, I expect deliciousness. It wasn't bad it was just OK. Gravy was flavorless. The chicken tenders were seasoned at all. A biscuit was just a lump of nothing just adding more fruitless calories. This is a dish with lots of potential... But in my opinion I need to go back to the drawing board and get that sauce together. Surprise that honey Sriracha did not bring it all together. Hmm, I'm not sure about this one. It was recommended in my Airbnb's guestbook so I had high expectations. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing... I ordered the American Breakfast (two eggs your way, bacon, Canadian bacon, home style biscuit and fire-roasted corn grits, $10.00). My eggs were partially cooked. The grits were bland, absolutely tasteless. Hardly any butter, (if any, really) no cheese and they weren't offered. The Canadian bacon was a small and rubbery. Bacon was cheap. Only thing that I remotely enjoyed was the biscuit. I'm leaving 3 stars because I really don't think it would be fair to leave anything less considering the dish I tried. Everything else on the menu sounded and looked delish, I really regret not getting the Brioche French Toast, Breakfast Tacos, Crab Cake Benny...literally anything else. If I'm ever down in Tupelo again I will return just so I can have a better experience. read more

Visiting Tupelo for a family gathering. This morning I looked to Yelp for breakfast selections and Brick & Spoon was the 1st listing. The reviews are decent with a few "wait time"'comments to note. So, I called and checked; wait time was "none." We arrived and immediately seated. A short time later a beautiful young lady with an amazing smile and personality came to take our order. Folks you gotta go and sit in "Keisha's" section. She will brighten your morning. As for the food...yes Lord!! You have to give the fried green tomatoes a try; they mastered this dish!! My sister had a delicious garden omelette and my niece had the American breakfast. Yum, yum to everything!! The atmosphere was pleasant; although a little cool for our northern flesh. No worries though. We always come prepared and bring light jackets to comfort ourselves; as cool dinning is a "thing" in the South. We are headed back to Michigan in the morning, but when I come down to visit our folks again, we will definitely stop in @ the Brick & Spoon! read more

They offer a nice selection of American brunch foods along with a NOLO flair. Eggs Benedict were excellent. Avocado toast was yum. The coffee drink was good also. ( 2 flavored coffee concoctions are offered) it sits at the end of a strip type mall. Wait staff was efficient/ quick. Did a pretty good job of tending to everyone's needs without being asked. We arrived hungry and looking forward to our usual post church brunch and waited 15 minutes before a hostess acknowledged us only to be told they couldn't even add us to the wait list because they wouldn't have enough time for the kitchen to seat and serve us. My first through was "you're gonna turn away business bc you're worried about closing on time". Why let us wait there for 15 minutes before letting us know that. Wouldn't a sign at the door been more courteous? Anyway, not the first time we've had mediocre service but for heaven's sake just put a sign at the door if you're gonna turn away business before closing or close early. My daughter and I ate lunch here while on a shopping trip. The restaurant was busy, but not crowded, and the young lady who served us was efficient and kindly. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Club with fries and it was SO good...delicious combo of flavors with the Canadian bacon and Gouda cheese and the fries were the kind I like--crispy and hot! My daughter ordered the Grown-up Grilled Cheese without the fried egg and tomato and she said hers was really tasty as well.
