Stopped in for breakfast the other morning while visiting in the area. We came across the Farmhouse on a drive and the parking lot was packed, so we pulled in and glad we did. A farm style Americana interior, comfortable and relaxed. Friendly and kind service. Old school farm house diner, with kjnd service and good food. We were greeted walking in and the sign said to sit where you like. So we grabbed a table in the front section and one of the servers working that morning walked over with menus and got our drink requests. She was kind and professional. A home style menu, simple and good. After looking it over I opted for the Farmhouse Quick Start and some browns, Two eggs over medium with bacon, hash brown and a biscuit with pepper gravy. This is a good breakfast choice. Walking in, it looks like your run of the mill home cooking restaurant. Very open, and in true farmhouse style. Our waitress was young but very polite. We didn't have to wait long for our food. The salad bar was good, I've seen some with more options but no real complaints. Our food was hot and good, the baked beans were a little less flavorful than I'd hoped, but they didn't take away from the meal itself. read more

Great travel stop! Stopped in with family on a Sunday road trip. The one trip buffet featured choice of ham, chicken and dressing or beef tips with a bunch of delicious sides and banana pudding for a very reasonable price. We stopped in for supper on our bike journey to The Pig Trail and weren't disappointed. Service was awesome and staff were friendly. The sweet southern drawl of the hostess & waitress melted into my ears like molasses. But the best thing about it was the food was absolutely delicious! I had the fried catfish with hush puppies and my buddy had the Thursday special, Chicken Fried Steak with fried squash and it took us back to the home cooking we had as a youngsters in Texas. There aren't many breakfast restaurants in this area, and even fewer that are open on Sunday morning. The Farmhouse filled the bill - a nice, friendly Southern restaurant with traditional breakfast offerings. Eggs, biscuits and gravy, and savory home fries hit the spot. Great service and immaculately clean restrooms. Will definitely return when in the area again and next time I'll try the vegetable plate with its, greens, and fried tomatoes for lunch. read more

Good southern catfish dinner on a Friday night! I got the small platter and it came with 3 sides, and I couldn't even eat all of it. Loved the tartar sauce too! Staff were welcoming and kind.
