My family and I have been eating there for over 30…read moreyears for excellent catfish, self-serve buffet-style salad bar, burgers, and soft serve ice cream. A very family friendly, casual restaurant with good staff and service, plenty of seating, plenty of parking and very accommodating for individuals, couples and small family groups including children (infant seats are available). A local favorite with a walk-up, outdoor service window and an indoor counter for service window where you place orders for indoor seating, pick up your drinks, and pay the cashier before seating yourself (at mostly 4-top tables which can be placed together for small groups). Once your order has been prepared, you will hear a call to come pick up your meal at that same counter. Servers come around to your table to refresh your tea or water and refills of other drinks are available at the counter. I have not found a better, small-town diner in the country with a more satisfying atmosphere than Pickle's Drive-In. I recommend it to you very highly.

I was scolded by the girl at the window, who informed me that if I needed condiments, I should have asked for them when placing my order. I was told that the money, for the difference would be added back to my card. I said that would be fine, I would like a receipt showing that it was going back into my account. For lack of a better description, she looked at me as if I were an idiot and told me that was not possible. She would have to have her manager refund the money in the store and that I would not be receiving a receipt showing that the money was going back into my account. When I looked into my bag, my order was still incorrect, I had not received the french fries I had ordered. I was given an attitude as she walked away to grab my french fries. She placed my fries in a bag, handed them out the window to me without another word spoken. When I pulled away to look the rest of my order over, my wrap had tomatoes and was not a honey mustard wrap. I have no idea if this money will actually be refunded back into my account, it has not been refunded as of now. I am Very disappointed with my customer service this evening.

Wanted to love it, and I mostly did. The hamburger, which seems like it should have been the star of the show, was not that great. Overcooked for my liking and not much flavor. However, maybe, despite the name of the place, the hamburger isn't the real star. Maybe it's the very friendly owner operating the grill. Maybe it's the community of hungry people all sitting around the counter. Maybe it's strangers chatting with the person sitting next to them like they've known each other all their lives. Maybe it's the glass bottles of Coke on the shelf on the back wall. Maybe it's the old brick building tucked away in a small town's business district, dripping with Americana. And, back to the food, the onion rings are fantastic! For me, I'm not sure it's worth a special trip to Amory just to eat here. But, If you're in Amory and want a simple, no-fuss burger and fries/chips/rings, surrounded by unassuming friendly people, definitely do give this place a try. read more

Been here since 1929 so they must be doing something right, right?! Burgers come in singles, doubles, or triples with or without. With is mustard and onion and without is plain. They've got ketchup, mayo, homemade hot sauce, pickles, grilled jalapenos, and grilled onions you can add as well. Awesome classic atmosphere and service. Try them out soon! read more
