Customer service advise: If your doors are open and customer enter before the actual restaurant closes, you don't, in a rude and condescending voice, tell the customer that you close in a few minutes, and act like you're not helping any more customers. I have been eating here for years and it never disappoints! One of if not the best salad bars around! Their new turkey burger is amazing!! I ate at the Danver's location in Oxford MANY times over the years and then I ate at this Tupelo location a few times. Danvers is well noted for their burgers and the nice salad bar. So the way things work here is when you order a burger you get to take it over to the salad bar and add whatever you want from the salad bar as part of your burger. The Danver's burger and salad bar combo accounted for a great deal of my vegetable intake during my college years! They also have been noted for their roast beef sandwich and all the rest of the food I've eaten here has always been good. This has always been an above average fast food joint but it is still fast food so manage your expectations while at the same time it is better than the vast majority of other fast food options. Danver's is a nice restaurant to get a good burger. You come in and place your order and pay. If you get a burger, they give it to you immediately then you walk over to the salad bar where you put whatever condiments you want on it. I also got some French fries and a Coke. Danvers is also a great place to get a salad. Their salad bar is big and full of fresh food. The salad bar has the mayonnaise, lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, onion and cheese to add to you burger. You will find mustard and ketchup at your table. I needed a refill so I asked a server who was cleaning the restaurant for Coke. Well, she was glad to give me a refill. They were pretty nice to me in here and I wouldn't mind coming back. It also helps that my burger was delicious given the fact that I made it a cheeseburger with everything on it. In summary, I really enjoyed my cheeseburger. I like that you can add whatever you want to it and however much too. It's really a plus. Rude employees bad management. Older lady working as cashier gave me a bad look when I told her my order would be takeout rather then dine in. Was at salad bar when she sat at the register and started complaining to another employee about me. This used to be the best restaurant in Tupelo but things have really gone downhill since the pandemic began which is a shame because this is a local landmark. They are having trouble finding employees so they had to change their hours (this is not the fault of management. It's just that the high school kids that used to keep this placed staffed do not want to work anymore). Saturdays and Sundays they are only open until 3pm. These used to be their busiest days. They have also started using cheaper ingredients. What once was quality food is really not that great anymore. I do hope that soon they will be able to go back to the way things were pre-pandemic. The two positives are the owner/general manager has been there for decades, is always at work, and truly does care about keeping the business alive and the salad bar is hands down the best in town. read more

Nice clean restaurant with a friendly staff. Cheeseburgers were cold and dry tasting, but the salad bar was good and had a lot to choose from. Everything you can imagine as far as toppings on the salad bar plus some fruit, macaroni salad, corn salad, etc. I may would come back, but would probably try something different than the cheeseburger next time. My favorite is definitely the chicken salad sandwich on the croissant. And I love to accompany the complementary ice cream with some of their delicious cookies as well. The soups are great, too, especially on cold, wintery days. Clam chowder and Potato soup are my favorites. Let's face it, I love the family oriented atmosphere and everything about the restaurant. Longstanding Tupelo tradition, but not a favorite for me. Salad bar is excellent, but prices are a bit high for what they serve. Fast food quality at family dining prices. Always clean, though. One unique feature is a long communal table - if they're crowded and you can't get a booth, you may be dining with strangers. read more

If it's been a while since you visited Danver's, prepare to be disappointed. I'm assuming there was a management change recently as there are many new faces and the service is not what it once was. They have changed their roast beef now it is stringy and has gristle that ruins the sandwich. They changed the french fries. The ice cream is different with very little flavor and it did not seem to be frozen, kinda like thick milk. No towels in the restroom, no napkins in the dispenser on the table, full trash cans and workers that looked like they would rather be anywhere else. The attention to detail is missing and it has fallen in line with other crappy fast food establishments. I used to be ok paying a little more for the quality and the service, but that's gone now. Be aware that this one does not participate in any of the corporate deals, menus on the website, coupons, etc. Food is not really worth the price....seemed to me about like fast food but way pricier. 5 chicken strips, no drink, and potato for $8.79? Cheeseburger basket for $8? Pretty disappointing when the website was plastered with $5 deals that don't exist in Tupelo. At a loss as to why people go there. read more

Danvers is a chain resturant, but this one is unlike any other Danvers we have been to. The decor is rustic and a bit dated, but very clean and well kept. The food is better than the standard fast food fair, but they have about the same thing, hamburgers, roast beef, chicken sandwiches, fries, etc..... There salad bar is considered one of the best with just about anything you could want on a salad. The food is a bit pricey, but worth the extra $ IMO. Lunches are a bit crowded and Sundays at lunch and supper are packed, but any other time will not be a problem. read more

Friendly staff and service- HORRIBLE Food. All of the lettuce was bagged mixed garden salad and the condiments were generic. It looks amazing as you walk in but when you get close you realize it's not so great. Went ahead and ordered a burger and a sandwich which were the equivalent of gas station food. We have been eating at Danver's regularly since we moved to Tupelo. Their prices are very affordable, especially for a family. The kids love their complimentary soft serve ice cream. The restaurant's decorations are a little dated, but the restaurant is clean. Everything we have tried on the menu we enjoy. I highly recommend this restaurant. read more
