Friendly people, good food on the highway. Oh and good coffee! I enjoyed my meal and was happy to have found Harvester.

Happy to see this wonderful country resto back to it's A+ game. They could rename themselves The Comfort Food Palace, and it would be apropos. Come hungry is an understatement, and while menu prices are definitely 2024, you will be bringing home a treat. If they are known for a specific item, it would definitely be their Mozzarella Sticks--which are almost calzone-like, but uniquely deep fried. Leave your dietary mindfulness at home and dip one of those babies in the huckleberry sauce. Staff is always country friendly, and the nice owner always says hello and checks on ya. 'Worth the drive' is a repeated sentiment, but it is pretty accurate...

Stopped off hwy 195 at Spangle at a restaurant for a quick lunch on our way home. This is one of those restaurants that you remember going to years ago and I'm assuming it has been there for years also. Just a country homey feel with good old fashioned cooking. Huckleberry shake with the metal cup and a spoon. Club sandwich and a side salad. Hit the spot. Took home the extras. It was a nice roadside rest stop.

This is definitely a traditional American diner, and the menu is what you would expect for that type of restaurant. For people who like that type of menu, you're in luck. I'm just not that thrilled with the traditional American diner menus and usually end up with fish and chips. Although my mom had the biggest chimichanga that I've ever seen, and she ate almost all of it (so that is a pretty good recommendation if you like deep fried Mexican food). I will say that the coleslaw that came with my fish and chips was perfect! There wasn't a lot of dressing on it at all (thank you, thank you), and it tasted pretty fresh. My chips were good, especially doused with a healthy dose of malt vinegar. The fish, well, it wasn't the best that I've ever had nor was it the worst. I'd eat it again, especially if they still have any malt vinegar after I used almost the entire bottle on my fries and fish. There was a cod plate on the menu that was tempting, and if I end up here again for lunch or dinner, I may have to try that. I'll update this if and when that happens. There is a huge parking lot and an area for a bigger group inside. The waiter and waitress were small town friendly, which is a nice plus!

The Harvester is amazing! I keep coming back here for the delicious food and milkshakes. So far, I've had the Rancher, the outlaw steak sandwich, and fish and chips, all of which were delicious. The service is great and the atmosphere is fantastic. I would recommend everyone to come visit.

The restaurant seems to be a family ran business. Sadly, this review isn't good. We went on Sunday around 11:30 AM. The restaurant wasn't busy, only 3 other tables there. We ordered a basket of buttermilk biscuits as an appetizer. My husband ordered a Loaded Breakfast Burrito. My mom ordered the Florentine Benedict with house potatoes. I ordered the classic Eggs Benedict. It took 30 minutes to get our appetizer of biscuits. The restaurant wasn't busy, so I don't know why it took so long. It took another 10 minutes to get our food. 40 minutes for food is ridiculous, especially classic breakfast food! Our server didn't come by with any update while we waited. My husband loved his breakfast burrito! My mom enjoyed her Florentine Benedict. I didn't like my Eggs Benedict. The Benedict serving was huge! The hollandaise sauce covered half the plate! The portion of the smoked ham was generous, but not proportional. The amount of ham was too salty for the meal. My mom and I agreed the hollandaise sauce was overwhelming and bland. I added pictures of our leftover Eggs Benedict, still so much hollandaise sauce left. The hash browns were salty to me, but I am sensitive to salt. I'd come back for the biscuits. The portions were big, but bigger isn't always better. Bene's, another breakfast restaurant down the street is exceedingly better for Eggs Benedict.

Bill got as good as he gave. This is a roadside cafe in rural Creston, WA. Do not expect or demand Michelin-Star quality food. Cowboy art, country music, local community notices. I cannot speak for the expresso. I like Farmer Brothers. Expect rural Cafe food serving road trip main dishes. Breakfast served all day. One of us got breakfast. A favorite comment from me is, "Pancakes big as your face." or, "Pancakes big as a Baby Moon." However, nobody knows what is a Baby Moon any more. Light, fluffy, delicious with butter. Three of us finished the pancake. A Reuben with fries arrived. Bill ate it all gone, sharing his fries. The fries did not disappoint. Hot, brown, crispy, self- salted. Club Sandwich and fries landed, plus a giant small salad with our chosen ranch dressing. Joni mentioned Jami has a Food Complex. Nothing she creates satisfies her. She feels unworthy to command the grill. Not True! If you stop here. If you eat here, do as I did. Tell Jami you'd travel 1200 miles to eat her meals, just like Tom. Really good food. The Marion Berry pie was the perfect end as The Corner ended it's day. Be sure to thank Maryellen for her steadfast support work out back.

Fabulous array of breakfast, lunch, and beverage options. I tried the "Mediterranean" sandwich. Loved it. The sandwich is a turkey, artichoke heart, sun-dried tomatoes, feta, and tomato mayo on focaccia bun. Everything on the sandwich was a compliment to the other. Usually you don't get a lot of comments about buns, but this one was outstanding. The sandwich also comes with red onions, but I took a pass on those also. I guess this place is also known for its pastries. They had a bunch to choose from, but seeing as how it was lunch, we took a hall pass... next time! It seems they also offer a lot of specialty homemade juice and coffee drinks. It was late mid morning, but there was a decent size crowd. The guy taking your order was super friendly and helpful, There looked to be only one girl in back, making the sandwiches Our order came out in about five minutes. There's options to sit inside and out. It was a gorgeous day so we chose out. They give you these awesome chips which I guess are some local thing. The food is pricey for the portions and quality. I've always been more hungry than satisfied, after eating here. The service is usually friendly, but more strict than a Starbucks. I don't get why there's a no outdoor food/drink policy. Starbucks doesn't care so why do they? I brought in an outdoor drink and was told immediately that wasn't allowed. I felt bad enough to buy a muffin, even though I didn't want one. I'd rather support Starbucks than this business. I want to relax and connect with people, when I go out to restaurants or businesses. I wouldn't come back for the vibes or the food. I'll be meeting friends at Starbucks next time.

No one asked if we'd made a reservation. I eventually asked a server at the bar if we should seat ourselves because we'd been standing there for so long. No, someone will help you soon. A host walked up. He was eating something. When he got to the host stand, he finished his food, took a big drink and wiped his hands before making eye contact with us. He said the wait would be 15 minutes. We sat down in the lobby. We were seated at a community table. The couple to our right finished their meal, paid the bill and left. Their seats were bussed. This all happened before our server greeted us. We ordered coffee. We waited. And waited. I scanned the restaurant for our server - or any server- to ask about our drinks and place our food order. No one else approached the table. Still no coffee. It had been 30 minutes. We decided to leave. The host realized we were leaving.
