Super service, clean, excellent drip coffee, and breakfast was outstanding. I ordered a 1/2 order of the Slumgolian with gravy. It was absolutely delicious and it is a very large portion for a 1/2 size dish. This is a great breakfast place for anyone passing through town. If you're on a motorcycle, they have a paved lot out front. Absolutely worth a stop. read more

The last couple of times we went the food was terrible and expensive. Rancid oil, chicken fried steak was like a chicken nugget with gravy on it. We probably won't come back. read more

Heidi's is an excellent place. I have traveled through St. Mary's for many summers but have never stopped to walk around and enjoy it. This time I happened to be there in the morning so I decided to try Heidi's. Heidi's is on the smaller end for breakfast places, but very nice. Antiques line the walls along with some cool paintings. Each table was set up with different table cloths, cups, etc. My order was filled quickly and there were many good menu options. The pancakes and bratwurst were my favorite parts. Most places have sausage but not bratwurst, so that was a welcome surprise. The toast and hash browns were also very good. I am not a huge egg fan but it was a fine egg anyhow. I highly recommend Heidi's for anybody looking for an excellent breakfast. I will be sure to stop here any time I am near St. Mary's in the future! read more

The "Slumgolian" Has Arrived! SITREP I always have to give mad props to owner Heidi, and her two outstanding servers Debbie & Cindy for having the best breakfast spot in St. Maries, and possibly in the Coeur d'Alene Lake & Reservation region. THE SETUP With new extended summer hours, we actually got to enjoy breakfast on both a Sunday and a Monday when that was not the case before: http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/heidis-st-maries?select=SeMX9c6nClH9B4f-sZ8Svw THE "SLUMGOLIAN" There is a NEW dish at Heidi's that just recently appeared on the menu: http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/heidis-st-maries?select=-8Hkm6aFBpODsKz-SNl8Sw This is a delicious heaping of !YUM!, consisting of a large bed of hash browns, and layered with three (3) different meats - sausage, bacon and ham - and then covered with scrambled eggs and cheese! Oh.My.DOG! It is do delicious, and even tastier when I garnish with green Tabasco sauce. But wait! There's MORE! THE "SLUMGOLIAN - Dairy-Free Version! Cousin Dale was able to get a dairy-free version of the "Slumgolian" that had no cheese nor was cooked in butter, but a vegetable oil. He was as happy as a lumberjack! http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/heidis-st-maries?select=eJT_a4jdSQGccGFCOeOKqQ THE LOWDOWN Heidi's in St. Maries continues to consistently provide the best breakfast environment in the Coeur d'Alene Lake & Reservation region! read more

Great find. Very small little cafe. We enjoyed a very tasty turkey sandwich. It was served As ordered and with a heartfelt smile. However, we also ordered coffee which was tasteless. Don't go there for the coffee. read more

Nice little breakfast place. Very reasonable prices with very generous well made portions.

Service was great. They accommodated us with hamburger since we do not eat pork and it was not busy. Portions were big and presentation was excellent. My husband had the burrito and I had the veggies with 2 scram eggs. Don't be turned off by the look of the building. Everything was great read more

Small location, but delicious! After an early morning hike at Heyburn I needed something to fill me up & I love trying local places. The waitress was friendly and my food was out very quickly. I'm glad she told me the pancakes were the size of the plate so I didn't order two. My coffee was alway full which to me is very important in a breakfast place. Next time I'm in St. Maries I'll be back again. read more

Small town America at its best. Great food, great prices, and the waitress was über friendly.

The best Breakfast and Lunch option in St. Maries. We travel through 2-3 times a year and this is a must stop place. The Slumgolian will feed your inner lumberjack and destroy you diet. Lunch menu is equally good but plan early their hours are 0600-1500 (3pm). Better yet, avoid at all costs!!! They only seat about 25 and we don't want Heidi's to be Californicated. Saint Maries folk wear Carhart never Burkenstocks. read more

I'd give this place 6 stars if I could. It's unassuming and kind of small, maybe 6 to 8 tables, but the food is superb. When we arrived they were almost full and filled after we ordered. I'm kind of a connoisseur of hollandaise sauce and am always in search of a restaurant that does it to my liking and Heidi's was perfect. The Eggs Benedict were so friggin' delicious and better than any others I've ever had. It's kind of a hard dish to pull off, especially when one cook is serving 8 tables but every part of the dish was perfect. If you're a fan of hollandaise or Eggs Benedict, definitely try Heidi's. You won't regret it. The service was good even though one waitress was hustling all the tables. read more

We stopped in for breakfast on our way to Coeur d'Alene and was so impressed! Wonderful breakfast, awesome service, clean & comfy, great local vibe. Nothing like a home-cooked meal on a beautiful fall day! read more

Amazing breakfast-its definitely a must go when in St Maries. The cinnamon roll was huge, biscuits and gravy were delish, coffee was great and service was amazing. However-it was too packed to go when we tried to go back with my husband a few days later-and no real "wait"-just locals loudly announcing theres no tables available & trying to get rid of you. Too bad there's not much seating. read more

Fabulous Breakfast! Place is super cute... Service is really friendly... And the food WOW! Had the veggie omelet with a side of Hollandaise sauce couldn't have been happier!
