$$$$ Ok, I understand the price of food has gone up and in a small town to stay open you need to charge $50 for lunch. This may sound stupid, but all other restaurants I've been too, you get free refills on your tea. Not this place. They charge $3.50 per glass and when asked for a to go cup they charged another $1.50. So for 2 people we each got 2 teas for $10. Ridiculous! I'm just saying. We won't be back read more

For small town sandwich shop I was expecting something I guess a little bit more hearty. Had the sourdough bread which more or less just fallsl apart in your hands as you're trying to eat. Sandwich was definitely messy and comes with one single napkin. Below average experience. Bummer. read more

We went here after a football game for a late lunch. We were the only customers in the restaurant which was staffed by two older women. They were very friendly and promptly took our order. We got a burger and meatloaf sandwich, both of which were pretty good. Nothing special, but good. The meatloaf sandwich came on a hogie roll and I ended up taking the meat off of one side and combining it with the other side which made for a pretty good sandwich. Otherwise it was light on the meat and heavy on bread. I ordered a lemonade which never came and neither of the ladies came to check to see how we were doing until we were done eating. When I went to pay the bill they were adding the lemonade until I reminded them it never came. Got a couple of milkshakes to go and they were really good albeit a little small. A Decent Lunch Stop SITREP Just off the main drag through St. Maries, the Grub Box is in a little mall complex that has many stores and the local Radio Station. SETUP Your basic burgers and fries, what I enjoyed most about my stop here was the Tower of Onion Rings. YUM. Dipping them in Ranch Dressing is always a tasty mix of flavors. Great place for a lunch. It's quiet atmosphere is an advantage when meeting a friend for lunch. It is child friendly

The service was good, a bit slow, but good considering how small the staff was. The food was good, nothing special, but they should really invest in getting some better bread for thier menu. Better bread would make the food so much tastier. Breakfasts are good, the sandwiches were lacking condiments, or flavor because the bread was very dry, plain, just meh , but the people are nice, the place is very clean and the food suffices if you are hungry. If they spent a little more got more help and invested in the quality and flavor of the food, just a little, I would give them 5 stars and return more often. read more

Great local sandwich shop. Lots of different sandwiches to chose from. I got the French dip and some stuffed jalapeños with cream cheese and blue cheese dipping sauce. My favorite thing was the huckleberry lemonade though! This place also has great views of the mountains. read more

Went there knowing they have good clam chowder on Fridays. Waited 20 minutes before anyone acknowledged our presence. Then got diet soda and ordered the chowder and their special sandwich. After being there 45 minutes, were told that the service was slow due to shift change. Were also told that they were out of clam chowder. Went and looked and they hadn't even started to make our sandwiches. We left after paying $6.34 for 2 diet pepsi's. Have been here a number of times before but have never had such poor service. Maybe you need to examine your priorities. read more

Had to do an inspection in Saint Maries, my customer was awesome and bought me lunch. I had a Benewah Beef, with tomatoes, cheese on sourdough, chips on the side, cup of coffee. The service was outstanding, warm and friendly. The food was awesome!!! This is one spot that if you're traveling through, I recommend you stop by and grab some grub. My teenage sons and I had a wonderful experience. One of my son's favorites is meatloaf and they had a meatloaf sub which he gave two thumbs up. Advertises 'Healthy Meals' but no, I found nothing healthy. I spent a fair amount of time trying to find ANYTHING to eat, ended up with these 'pita sandwiches' which were extremely small, flavorless and overpriced. They tossed on a full plate of oven French fries to bulk it up, but it was a pathetic attempt. When I mentioned to the owner how under-whelmed I was and my critique of the meals she served, she was very patronizing in return. I understand the difference between St Maries and Boise. I recognize serving tasty, healthy meals requires extra knowledge and commitment. Just don't tout 'healthy' meals if all you serve is grilled , processed or packaged foods. service was ok, nothing else was. read more

My husband and I just had a late lunch at this little place. The service was fast, friendly, and sandwiches are yummo. There is a extra hidden gem at this place. The paintings done on the duct work makes this place even extra special. Thank you for catching us before we left without my husbands cell phone. We will get back.
