This will be our go to coffee shop when we're in town. Amazing special blends, quick service and smiling faces.

Em’s Place

If there was an award (ceremony) for small business owners, I'd nominate this Em and her business…read more Emily of Em's Place is a humble business nestled in north central Idaho. Had I not accompanied my boyfriend for his business trip to this rural town, I wouldn't have known such a cute coffee shop run by a mom of three children who said (upon asking her if she enjoyed running her shop) she shows up to work feeling extremely happy every day; what a way of life. GOOD FOR HER!!) Upon entering the shop, I immediately saw Emily's surprised face. I think she was expecting to see a familiar face of one of the regulars or locals who resides in this humble town. This is not to say that she wasn't happy to receive me. Her welcoming gesture/kind words simply continued throughout my over-an-hour visit/stay. She truly tried to get to know me. She, of course, wanted to know what brought me to this tiny town. She asked me about my preference as to how I take my cappuccino (dry or wet with sweetness etc.) I gave my preference; she assured me she'd be happy to remake it if I didn't like it (since she offered, I politely told her my cap was a bit too sweet for me, so she poured an additional shot of espresso without charging me. The total I paid for this cap was only $3 with some change. You can NEVER get this price for a cup of cap anywhere nowadays.) I sat in one of the single person couches close to the door overlooking the street. What a perfect setting for a little me time with my laptop. I took the time to sip the tailor-made cappuccino: a much-needed boost for my long day ahead. Each sip hit the spot. As I was immersing myself in the cozy environment, more than a handful of regulars came in and out to get their morning joes. Some quickly left; some stayed to enjoy the camaraderie offered by Emily. She truly treats her customers with care. Her TCL was overflowing from her. Her tiny store has some merchandise (artworks, some clothes etc.) You might find some gift. Her quaint space offers so much more than what it appears. In a way, it's a chihuahua with a huge generous heart so in conclusion, if you happen to be in this town for some business or even driving through it, stop at Em's Place for a cup of coffee. Emily's hospitality will melt your heart.

Genuinely so yummy and the barista/owner was fantastic, plus the prices were really good. And they…read morehave clothes and jewelry and plants - it's a very cute store
