Harrison Idaho is a small town ¾ of the way down the eastern side of Lake Coeur d'Alene. It's an old town that was probably a haven for miners or loggers before they had roads running along the lake. There are historic looking buildings in various stages of decay or restoration, each with its own esthetic quality. One of these buildings is across the street from Cycle Haus, a huge metal storage building on the lake, too expensive to refurbish or tear down. Either way, it provides a great backdrop for eating a sandwich on the balcony. My wife and I shared a sandwich at Cycle Haus on our way through town. We were taking a driving tour of the lake on a coolish, rainy day. Harrison was a pleasant surprise. It is a major stopping point for the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes, a large, paved bike route along the lake and through impressive northern Idaho countryside. It is at the top of my list of pave bike trails that I will hopefully return to try out. A prerequisite for great paved bike trails is a sandwich and beer shop catering to bikers. Cycle Haus provides a great spot for bikers with plenty of outdoor seating, places to set your bike, sandwiches, beers, and a relaxing view of the small town.

Loved this place for renting bikes, they seemed a bit understaffed during peak hours (lunch) so after our ride we only ordered beers instead of food items. The wonderful woman manning the store solo today deserves a raise! She was doing both the front and back store and it was legit as good as it could have gone with one person manning the fort!

Highly recommend renting long range electric bike. Super fun! Rode 2 hours north through the Wetlands and saw all sorts of wildlife including Moose, mamma and twins plus a young male hanging out in the water. This was around 10/11am. Lots of deer, storks?, deer, ducks and I am sure lots more. Great if you like birds. The only thing was bikes need to have back up batteries if taking for 24hrs. So you could do more time.

Great happy hour food! Nice location after our fun ride. Pretzels were delicious and the loaded fries were good too.

The workers here were very friendly. They take your order at the bar and then bring the food over when it's ready. I came here for breakfast and lunch. For breakfast, I had their bangers & mash. They make their own sausage in house and have rotating flavors. I tried their bratwurst & curry chicken sausages, both were great. My husband ordered their sausage roll, which came with a crisp puff pastry and sauce. He also ordered the chip butty, which are chips on a ciabatta roll. Later in the day, for lunch, we shared a scotch egg. The scotch egg was perfectly runny and had a crisp outside. We also shared the fish & chips and ordered the cod as the fish. It tasted very fresh and flavorful. All of our food was great here. I would highly recommend this place.

I asked for recommendations from the girl who worked there and she recommended one vegetarian item on the appetizers rather than being enthusiastic about the menu at all. The food was ok, but overpriced for what you got. I liked my fish and chips with mushy peas. The sausages were ok, flavor-wise, but kinda... soft... no sausage "snap" to them. The food is somewhere between a three and a four but the service, and the lack there of, was a one. Didn't really have an Irish pub vibe, at all. Very touristy.

The fry sauce was top of the line and the CFS was up there in quality. Momma's fish and chips were cooked without excess oil and I believe they were cod. She did substitute sweet potato fries that seemed to please her, but be aware there is an upcharge. Our friend had a standard fare hamburger with the tasty high quality beef that was hanging over the edges of the bun. The beer selections were limited, but well varied so you will find something you like. My point is that while this is an off the beaten path eatery, it is worth the detour!

There are some wonderful pictures of the old miners that the building has been dedicated to. We came a little after lunch time but there were still several tables with diners. They also have a nice bar and additional outdoor dining. Our waitress, Liz A. was fantastic. She was quick to great us and take our orders. When we were ready to leave, hubby wanted a shirt and she brought out one to make sure the size and color was right. She also gave us a bag for our to-go boxes as the meals were big. And a plastic cup with a lid and straw for fresh ice tea to go. And to the food - we enjoyed every bite. We both had the black and blue wraps. They are big and loaded with plenty of delicious tender meat, veggies, and blue cheese. I had tater tots that were perfectly crispy and Liz brought out a big condiment tray with squeeze bottles for them. He ordered the Blue Cheese Garlic Fries - which were also crispy and packed with yumminess. Very happy we stopped here. They are currently open 7 days a week and you will not be disappointed
