This is a town you stop by on your way to another town. We stopped by at this coffee shop / bar and we ended up getting a tea. The place is really nice though with a unique style and decor. The best part for us was the barmaid, she was very nice, polite and had a good conversation with us about the town and we learned a couple of things.

A great bar and seating area'

6th and Cedar is my go-to spot for coffee, breakfast and evening cocktails. They are the only spot in Wallace (I know of anyway) to offer white coffee. Their punch card frequent visitor card keeps me coming back for more. The cinnamon roll latte with white coffee or the maple spice chai are my favorites. For breakfast, I love the ham burrito or cinnamon roll. The chocolate chip cookies are amazing too. I also want to shout out Tabitha, who works during the weekdays, as she always has wonderful service. If you're visiting Wallace, this place is a must-visit, not just for the wonderful food and drinks but the ambiance and historic building. From what I've gathered, 6th and Cedar is under new ownership so they're making lots of changes, definitely for the better!

Wow! The interior is beautiful with it's tin ceiling and brick facade. There are two sets of French doors reminding me of a gone-by era, where settlers might walk down wooden sidewalks with spurs on their boots. The young lady working behind the espresso machine was friendly and made a delicious latte, twice for me within the span of two hours! I walked their from our hotel (The Wallis Inn) to grab lattes for my family only to return again a hours later for another one. The prices are the same as the coffee shops in Seattle. It's reasonable to think the prices would be similar since the products have to trucked to this remote town. I can't wait to return to this lovely town!

Amazing time with proprietors Matt & Tamra!

If you're looking to experience a special place, look no further. The history of the building and restoration projects are just the beginning. Tabitha at the bar is a multi generation Wallace native. She gave us a fun history lesson and was helpful as we searched for a hotel. Proprietors Matt & Tamra spent time making us feel beyond welcome and shared their dream of restoring 6th & Cedar as an important part of the towns history. We met several locals and visitors, all who clearly knew how special this place is. Are the service and beverages good, yes. But what really matters is the experience you're left with. You won't know, if you don't go. So do yourself a favor and stop in... Stay a while.. ya never know what will haopen.

"The Center of the Universe " town of Wallace . Movie filmed here Dante peak. This little espresso bar really knows how to do up the drinks. Delicious and fresh pastries. Luckily I made it in right before they closed at 3p that day. The gals are friendly and offered great suggestions of their creative drinks.

    Hangin out drinking coffee.

Rick & Leigh (owners) - Thank you for posing w/ the sign for a friend & work colleague battling cancer back home. My bicycling friend & I got up early and started to panic that we couldn't find coffee- until we stumbled into this great place! Gorgeous decor and r-r-really good coffee! Leigh had fantastic stories about her family, longtime Wallace entrepreneurs. And Rick is a man of many talents. Our go-to place every morning of our stay!

Such a rustic little cafe in Wallace. We headed here for a quick cuppa early in the morning before driving to Yellowstone. We were the only ones aeound. Absolutely loved the cafe. The latte tasted really fresh and strong. Also got to eat freshly baked chocolate chip cookie, still warm from the oven.

In fact they're unlike most other businesses in Wallace and are open everyday until 2am. This is your typical no-frills dive bar with a pool table, a shuffleboard. Their wells and beers are $3 which are so cheap and amazing! I don't get complicated stuff at these dive bars so I stick to my whiskey cokes and shots of whiskey. They have happy hour from 4pm-6pm daily which is $1 off food and booze, so imagine your already-cheap $3 beers or wells becoming an astonishing $2. If you're coming here expecting a gourmet meal you should be looking elsewhere, because they have dive bar food which means frozen snacks. They actually have this cool contraption to deep fry stuff like tater tots or dumplings which apparently costs like $5k. The bartenders are all super friendly, especially Dave who I saw multiple days during my stay. I came here most days during my week stay in Wallace and this is one of the staples of the town. You'll meet very friendly people here who are always willing to strike up a random conversation.

The male was complaining about making drinks and even refused so the female volunteered to make our margaritas. He was not pleasant and obviously didn't want to be there.

Wallace Brewing has been open since 2008 with 8 beers in the tasting room. They have a tv and a pool table with seating inside plus 4 tables of 4 on the sidewalk. They do not sell food but outside food is welcome. Tyler was working behind the bar and he was very engaging. He told me about the brewery and some of their top sellers which are the Red Light Irish Red Ale and 1910 Black Lager. Both were very good and I ordered the 1910 - dark, malty flavors with the light to medium weight of a lager. It was great! I'm a tourist passing through, but whether you're a local or from 2,000 miles away like my family you'll find a great beer at Wallace Brewing

This is true and there are multiple signs advising so, both prior to entering and just inside the door. What's the big deal you may ask. Aside from a brewey with no food being specifically for adults not being too far out, and for those who may want to avoid (or look for it), the mens room is adorned with full playboy spreads which could be controversial for junior. So, the environment & products are targeted to adults. The interior has mining decor and pinup decor, a bar top, pool table and a few tables with chairs. The beer we had was good for one and above average for the other. The wheat (with lemon wheel garnish) was a surprisingly tasty treat. It was out of the way for us but is right off the highway, so, convenient for a lot of people & the town itself is quirky. As you can see, it's the center of the universe & they have the manhole to prove it!
