Happy Hour Old Fashioned $12 and Calamari $14
    Carolyn C.

This place has such an old-soul charm that immediately makes you feel at home, yet with a creative and modern twist on its dishes that will keep you coming back. I have my favorite spot here--the cozy little reader's nook tucked to the left of the bar area. It's the perfect hidden corner to relax with a book and sip on a well-crafted Old Fashioned during happy hour (CHEAP). The vibe is so calming, and the mix of classic and contemporary makes it the ideal spot to unwind. This last visit, I had the calamari, and let me just say--it's different. Fried in cornmeal, it offers a totally unique crunch that's different from the usual breaded version. It was a fun surprise and totally delicious. Happy hour is absolutely worth it, especially if you're stuck in horrendous traffic like I often am--this has quickly become my go-to spot for a quick but satisfying break. The drinks, the food, and the vibe are perfect for a little escape. Oh, and fun fact--the bartender is a competitive eater who holds two world records! She's traveled everywhere for competitions. Her energy and expertise add another cool layer to this place. Highly recommend checking it out!

My third time at Harvest Thyme was the deal sealer. This restaurant is fantastic. They have the best SMOKED Korean BBQ Hot Wings I have ever had. Additionally, the bartender Margo and the Manager Anthony (I think I have the names right) were outstanding by paying close attention to my severe food allergies. Checking in on me to make sure everything was perfect more than once. The drinks are unique and fun, I had a Naked and Afraid...it was awesome. Everything was clean, everything was comfortable, everything was just a delight. A PERFECT brunch,

Wife and I stopped in after seeing the grandkids see Santa at Homestead Garden, we were first greeted by a young lady at the hostess stand she was very friendly. I asked if the food was good and she said it's excellent, so jokingly I said if it's not good can I bring the bill for you to pay. She laughed said sure but your going to like it with that she told me to try the pair and ricotta stuffed sacchetti it's her favorite. There were seats available but we sat at the bar, the bartender greeted us right away while we were getting seated he explained that this was his parent restaurant that his mother comes in the morning makes all the desserts except one (apple pie) and that his dad is the chef. The wine selection is fantastic if you can't find what you're looking for here I would be very shocked. He explained that we could purchase a bottle and they will open it for $10 much cheaper than buying by the glass and if we didn't finish the bottle they would cork the bottle and we take the rest home. So we looked the lunch menu over there is a different dinner menu that starts at 4. I started with a basil Haden old fashion wife had ice tea wife ordered the chicken bacon ranch sandwich it came with fries and I ordered the pair and ricotta stuffed sacchetti with grilled chicken added to it. It's pretty cool that this place is a liquor store and a restaurant, you can see the kitchen and the cooks fixing food. Our meals came and wow everything looked delicious, I couldn't wait to take a bite. The wife's sandwich looked very good at first she asked if they put half her chicken on my meal but what they had done was cut the chicken in half and stacked them. My meal was delicious I was a little nervous that I wasn't going to like it but after the first bite it was delicious. Those small homemade pasta filled pillows of pasta were just amazing as well was the chicken with the cream sauce, I did ask if next time I ordered this could I get a little extra sauce he said sure. Well a few minutes later someone came up behind me and put down a small container of extra sauce, it just wasn't enough if I hadn't got the chicken on it it would have be perfect. Now it's dessert time, we were told what the specials are and they had another rather large list of desserts, my wife ordered the peanut butter pie and I had the salted caramel espresso cheese cake. We got these togo because we were so stuffed from lunch so that evening we had our dessert and they were both excellent.

Excellent local restaurant with a huge selection of wine! We came here on a Friday night around 8pm and although it was busy, we were seated immediately. The restaurant was full, but not too loud. We enjoyed the harvest board charcuterie platter, the crab cakes, and filet mignon, and we finished the meal with both the flourless chocolate cake and the harvest smash a la mode. Everything was made well, had great portion sizes, and delivered timely. Our server, Kelly, was helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend!

it was very good! Mild and is great alone or with food.

We keep going back to try more! And what we try is just as good as the last dish. The drinks/martinis are made right kudos to the bar. The meatball with stuffed mozzarella is good. We loved the Greek salad w/shrimp we split that the shrimp were flavorful and the feta was quality, but it left you wanting more since it was crumbles. I ordered the halibut with crab on top the halibut a large piece of but it is rich and d filling the jasmine rice had a nice flavor and went well with the sautéed rice and fish.

So we drove a good 30mins to get here, with anticipation from seeing this restaurant on a travel channel, but the original location is in NY. We get there, and its plenty of free parking. We ask for seating for 3 and we are told they are only seating individuals who booked a reservation. Totally understandable considering its Valentine's day. I dropped the ball folks. I didn't make a reservation. So I noticed a bar lounge which we were told we could wait for a seat to open up. As we were waiting a coupled jumped in front us and took a seat. The manager Claudia came to the rescue like the dark knight but with more grace. She mentioned she was willing to put us on the list for a table in the main dining area. I accepted her kind gesture and continued to wait for bar lounge seating to open up. A couple was kind enough to come over to us and ask if we were waiting for bar lounge seating. They offered their table to us as they were ending their night. There was a 2 man band playing in the lounge area that was very soothing to the ear. As I tried to help my mother get comfortable at the hightop table, I noticed she was having a difficult time getting seated in such a high chair. Guess who came to the rescue, you guessed, Claudia! She's the best, 100 grand, made me a real fan. So she came over and said our table was ready if we wanted a booth seating and we all know that's the best seats in the house. All I could think is look at God. The wait wasn't even long either. 10 out of 10 for saving the day. In addition our waitress was such a sweetheart. I mentioned a white malbec I saw on the menu that I was astonish to see b/c I never knew of such a thing. She bought me a small glass to taste and my God, I am a true believer Jesus turned water into wine. Its so clear like water but the taste is amazing. The food is so delicious. The restaurant is very clean. The staff is very personalable. Everyone cartered to us. You would have thought we were the Obamas or something. As we were stuffing our faces, Claudia comes around handing out roses to the men/boys to give to their dates. Complimenting my son and his daper outfit she hands him a rose and tells him to give it your mommy. At the moment he lights up with a big smile as if he paid for the rose himself. I can tell he felt like a gentleman and good that he could give his mother a red rose on Valentine's day. That small gesture was very thoughtful and appreciated. I apologize for my essay, but they desired it. I love the service, the ambiance, the food, and service. I haven't seen my mother smile so much in a while. So it bought me great joy to give my mother this experience on Valentine's day. I thank Nonna Angela's staff for such a wonderful experience.

We drove up on a Saturday late afternoon in Aug 2025 and found parking across Main Street. There are other free lots nearby and sometimes a free shuttle around town on Sat and Sun. While waiting for the music, we staked out a table among some that people had reserved ahead of time in front of the wine shop, with other tables just outside the lot and more across the quiet side-street. From the wine shop, we got a nice little pinot noir to take home. They offered plastic glasses and a bucket full of ice, so we could have had that during the concert. They also have beers and ciders, gourmet snacks, and many clever and original accessories and crafts. The wine shop's owner encouraged up to walk to nearby Joe's Deli, and across to the Patapsco Distillery where the band set up under a small canopy, and we also got some food and drink from them for our table. And there's a sweet little ice cream shop across Main Street too! The band played light rock and folk and people were relaxed in conversations and enjoyment of the music. The gentle breeze kept us cool under sun-shielding umbrellas. This is nicely done weekly pair of concert, and the welcoming hostess and cooperative nearby shops make this a pleasant way to visit Sykesville on a Friday or Saturday evening, continuing through Nov 8th.

Colorful clothing hang up in display, palm size houses tucked away behind rocks, and a cozy outdoor seating area are the first things to great you as you approach the store. Once inside, you'll find yourself in a claustrophobic den, filled with locally made goods such as clothing, foodstuffs, and art as well as wall to wall wines. Choices are plenty despite the small size of the store and at reasonable prices. For those living nearby, be sure to check out Vine on Main's wine club to get more wine at better values. The real highlight of Vine on Main is the owner, who is the sweetest woman you'll meet. She's highly knowledgeable about all the products in the shop, even the non-alcoholic ones and is more than happy to share information about them. Not only does she have excellent wine and booze recommendation, but she'll even offer some free samples if you ask her nicely. Plan on shopping around the area? She'll take your order, bag it, and leave it to the side so that you can pick it up when you're all done instead of lugging around heavy bottles. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was a pretty big disappointment. From what I understand, they recently let go of their head chef and are currently running things with sous chefs, and based on this experience... it shows. On Saturday, I ordered the oyster BLT. I was told ahead of time it came with four oysters, which is fine -- if those oysters actually feel like the main event. On a sourdough sandwich, you expect something substantial -- big, meaty oysters that can hold their own. Instead, what showed up were four tiny oysters that were basically lost in the sandwich. I'm not exaggerating when I say you had to go searching for them. And for $28? That's where it really lost me. I have no problem paying Annapolis prices when the food backs it up, but this felt completely out of sync. The portion, the quality, the overall execution -- none of it justified the price. It honestly felt like something that should have been half the cost... at best. Beyond that, the sandwich just felt underwhelming overall. Nothing about it stood out, nothing felt intentional, and it definitely didn't live up to what this place used to deliver. It's frustrating because this used to be a spot I'd recommend without hesitation. Right now, though, it feels like they're charging premium prices while the kitchen is still trying to figure itself out. I really hope they get things back on track, because Annapolis needs places like this to be good. But as it stands, I'd think twice before ordering anything from their specials.

I had just come from a hair appointment down the street and on my way back to my car, I noticed Sangria advertised on the mini sandwich board outside. I'm a HUGE fan of a glass of fruity Sangria on a hot day! The fact that it was Happy Hour with $5 glasses made it even easier to draw me inside!! They even had a small but really intriguing menu of various snacks, from charcuterie to flatbread and even dessert. The menu changes a couple times a month, making me want to plan more visits! The staff offered me sips of each so I could decide on a Sangria flavor. Despite not being a Moscato fan, I chose the Moscato Mule Sangria. It was light, refreshing and had the Moscow Mule flavors with the added sweetness of Moscato wine. I wandered into the cellar to explore more wine offerings and wound up running into fellow educators and their friends I had never met.
