The food was spectacular, tbe service was attentive, and the ambiance was like being in the cellar of an expert in Bourbon.

We had a wonderful experience at Harvent Thyme Tavern. We were enjoying beautiful weather and were seated in a nice spot on the patio. Service was excellent. The server was knowledgeable and if he didn't know the answer to one of our questions (as first-timers), he found the answer for us. All of our dishes were on point! The website states "From Farmer's Hands To Ours. It Starts With Local, Fresh Ingredients". Certainly, that statement shined with the execution and taste of our dishes! Our party of 4 ordered Smoked and Brined Chicken Wings, Fried Oysters, Spinach Salad with Blackened Chicken, Greek Salad with Shrimp, Bone-In Pork Chop (blackened, with Korean BBQ Cream, Corn & Pepper Saute, and mashed potatoes), and the Bistro Steak. Every thing was enjoyed by all! Seasonings were well-balanced, Food was tasty, salads were fresh, and portions were very decent. The Harvest Smash dessert is amazing and should be ordered! It's upside down apple pie with pecans and Bourbon Caramel - a la mode. We also ordered chocolate bourbon cake....the cake had the most perfect texture and taste. You can't go wrong with either of those. Hurry and go to this place as soon as you can. read more

On May 14, 2026 I patronized Harvest Thyme for lunch our server was Melissa Guests #2 (40004): Our family has been dining and patronizing Thirsty Lizard and Harvest Thyme for over 14 years. We have celebrated many familial milestones/celebrations and professional accomplishments @ Harvest Thyme. The nostalgia of the servers and ownership has often felt engaging and alluring to me and our family & friends. My dining experience this afternoon was a far departure from the 4 stars standard experience of years clearly in the rearview. Items Ordered - The Bibb & Blue side salad was drenched in bleu dressing; I shared my concerns with our server whom was void of any response and acknowledgement. Items Ordered - 6oz Steak Frites ordered rare; The steak was served beyond the desired temperature. I waited for the server to return to our booth and I cut in the 6oz again to visually demonstrate the temperature of the steak actually arrived was definitely rare minimal/ to no pink was detectable. Our server said she would send the manager over momentarily. Once the manager arrived, he inquired about the entree and I shared and demonstrated for the 2nd time. I returned the steak frites and ordered the Beggars Pasta and added am additional Beef protein. That the conclusion of our meal as we noticed that we were charged for the entree that was returned. I inquired further and was giving a $15.00 gift card (I was charged $25.00 for an entree returned due to overcooking) by the Manager and was told "Thats All YOU get" and that the policy of the restaurant is if you order a dish you have to pay for it. When I inquired, he stated that's all you get!! I was offended as a patron, a human being, and a citizen electing to choose Harvest Thyme in a national wide affordability crisis. $127.00 for lunch is UNACCEPTABLE for lunch especially for an entree I did Not consume. No one communicated the policy beforehand nor does it seem to lineup with industry standards. $15.00 does not cover the cost & tax of the returned entree. I scoured the Harvest Thyme website and the receipt and I did not find such a policy. We were appalled by the lack of professionalism, posse, tack, empathy from the manager. His behavior and demeaner were absolutely inexcusable. Once we departed the restaurant, it was clear and present that I was upset as I retreated to my vehicle. A fellow patron encouraged me to directly communicate with ownership regarding my experience. Further research revealed the drastic decline in glowing reviews related to staffing, dining experiences, and culinary standards. Why were we treated so poorly at 1pm on a Thursday? We typically love Harvest Thyme, good food, neighborly atmosphere, unfortunately a recent Saturday night dinner left us wanting. The bolognese was delicious as always but the catch special was poorly executed: overdone fish, not really blackened and seemingly grocery store 2 shrimp added. And, yes, for $40. we did expect more. Also while we've dined fairly often, we did not realize there was a corkage fee. As we were looking at bottles- would have been nice if our server had reminded us. Looking forward to a different exp next time. read more

We were a group of 12 ladies having lunch. The owner was walking around the restaurant. It was not crowded. I thought he would stop and welcome us. A trait I think is an excellent one for a restaurants. He ignored us. No stars for him ..... We returned here and were delighted to have his signature dish sachetti which was so delicious. We had told the waitress why we were back- she was terrific. 6 of us ordered the pasta and the others were all very happy with their choices. We shared desserts that were great! read more

I ordered Calamari. The first plate was luke warm, the calamari was frozen, not fresh; the waiter took them back and another order was received... they were hot but was the same rubbery and tough to chew. 16.00 was a waste of money. Ordered a cheese pizza. The crust was baked so hard its a wonder I didn't break a tooth. I ate 2 small pieces. It was a 50. lunch that by the time I got home I was in the bathroom vomiting profusely. I need to have the food tested for food poisoning. This was very very disappointing. I would never go back there again. read more

I've gone back to Harvest Thyme Tavern many times since my first experience and just let me say, I've thoroughly enjoyed the food and service each time. The food is cooked to order and always fresh and delicious. The service is friendly and the staff are always happy to answer questions, make recommendations and alter dishes when possible. I recently had a repast here for 15 people and I pre-ordered the food for family style dining and everyone was elated about the quality of the food and the selection. Their favorites were the pasta dish with the pear and ricotta in a delicate sauce (a house speciality), their pizzas and the bison burger. Just aaamazzing! The interior is unique and provides a quaint vibe. I look forward to hosting another gathering soon. Thank you Rik and the amazing female Bartender/servicer whose name escapes me right now, but she's got skills managing the bar and serving tables. 5/5* read more

I'll start by saying that it was my fault for not asking the price when the server told me they had fillet mignon available. But based on the pricing of other items on the menu, the casual family neighborhood restaurant vibe (think: kids, uncovered tables, shorts and flip flops, people from the bar walking around with wine glasses, country music, etc.) I assumed a steak dinner might be in the $40-$50 price range. So I was a bit surprised when the bill showed $96 for the steak. With two non alcoholic drinks, a salad and desert, the tab for dinner for one was over $130. The food was good (after I sent the steak back for additional grilling as it was originally served well seared on the outside but luke warm in the center. In light of having a huge dinner bill, I found it particularly petty that they charge a 6% "to go fee" for bagging my desert. An additional irritant is their statement on the bottom of the check that they will automatically adjust the gratuity to 18% unless you first complain to management of "problems". Having been a server for 4 years during my earlier life, I customarily overtip significantly, as I did in this case. But I seriously resent a restaurant telling me that I have to tip at a certain rate, unless I make a complaint. How about folks who tip in cash? How about folks who are not satisfied with their service, but don't want to make a formal complaint? And lastly, their check form says that "all lost cards will be destroyed at the end of the day". I guess they got burned some time but this is a ridiculous policy. When I recently left my credit card at another restaurant, I discovered it the next day, called the restaurant and it was being held in their cash register for me. That's what most people would expect. So, the food was good, the ambience too noisy but tolerable, and the menu had lots of options. But their policies and pricing were a definite turn off. read more

This place has such an old-soul charm that immediately makes you feel at home, yet with a creative and modern twist on its dishes that will keep you coming back. I have my favorite spot here--the cozy little reader's nook tucked to the left of the bar area. It's the perfect hidden corner to relax with a book and sip on a well-crafted Old Fashioned during happy hour (CHEAP). The vibe is so calming, and the mix of classic and contemporary makes it the ideal spot to unwind. This last visit, I had the calamari, and let me just say--it's different. Fried in cornmeal, it offers a totally unique crunch that's different from the usual breaded version. It was a fun surprise and totally delicious. Happy hour is absolutely worth it, especially if you're stuck in horrendous traffic like I often am--this has quickly become my go-to spot for a quick but satisfying break. The drinks, the food, and the vibe are perfect for a little escape. Oh, and fun fact--the bartender is a competitive eater who holds two world records! She's traveled everywhere for competitions. Her energy and expertise add another cool layer to this place. Highly recommend checking it out! read more

Wow.... this place hasn't just gone downhill, it's fallen off a cliff. Ate here for Mother's Day 2026. The food was absolutely terrible and the service wasn't any better. You'd think it couldn't get any worse, but they have a manager there (very short hair and glasses) who is a complete a-hole; he was incredibly rude to us as well as several other guests. Avoid this place. You will be very disappointed. read more

Had a very up and down experience at Harvest Thyme. My wife and I showed up on time for a 730 reservation and were seated immediately - not empty, but not necessarily bustling. We ordered shortly thereafter - lamb lollipops cooked medium as an app, and pork chop/crab cakes for entrees. The appetizer did not arrive for approximately 45 minutes, and it was quite disappointing when it did. Several of the pieces were cooked medium rare to rare instead of medium (when I cut into my first bite, pink pieces of undercooked meat got stuck in the grooves of the knife), and they were not particularly flavorful. We didn't finish it and, to the restaurant's credit, they took it off the bill without us needing to ask. It took another 15-20 mins for our mains to arrive. When they did, they were both very tasty and cooked to order. We had a gift card, and likely will not return to pay out of pocket for the prices they charge. We could tell all of the servers were stressed and doing their best, but especially with the long wait time, drink refills and check-ins were not as frequent as I would have liked. read more

The food was good, but the service was slow. We waited 45 minutes for or calamari appetizer to arrive! The waitstaff seemed like they were always busy, but seemed understaffed for the crowd size. I had an amazing pasta (beggars bags) dish with prosciutto. So good! Their Panzanella Salad was also very good, though the croutons were not home made, but resembled what you would stuff in turkey dressing! Not usual for this type of salad. Usually you use a softer dry bread for this salad to soak up the tomato and vinaigrette juices. All was tasty though! read more

I gave one star for the food. I made reservations for our thanksgiving dinner party. the reservation was confirmed by the restaurant. we arrived at the restaurant on thanksgiving for a lovely meal. we were turned away! the restaurant had, unbeknownst to us decided to close the restaurant for a privet party. We had already made reservations for my birthday (December 1st) so we decided to keep the reservation (we confirmed our reservations before leaving our house) to see if they would make it right. they did not. I will no longer patronize the restaurant for their lack of care. read more

We went here for brunch with another couple. We sat in a booth. We started with a bottle of prosecco. (Very reasonable priced but they do charge a $10 corkage fee.) Three of us ordered the Harvest omelet. Excellent! The other had eggs Benedict. Also excellent! A second bottle of prosecco was ordered. After the meal we decided to order dessert. The upside down apple pie with caramel walnut syrup on ice cream was decadent! read more

Wife and I stopped in after seeing the grandkids see Santa at Homestead Garden, we were first greeted by a young lady at the hostess stand she was very friendly. I asked if the food was good and she said it's excellent, so jokingly I said if it's not good can I bring the bill for you to pay. She laughed said sure but your going to like it with that she told me to try the pair and ricotta stuffed sacchetti it's her favorite. There were seats available but we sat at the bar, the bartender greeted us right away while we were getting seated he explained that this was his parent restaurant that his mother comes in the morning makes all the desserts except one (apple pie) and that his dad is the chef. The wine selection is fantastic if you can't find what you're looking for here I would be very shocked. He explained that we could purchase a bottle and they will open it for $10 much cheaper than buying by the glass and if we didn't finish the bottle they would cork the bottle and we take the rest home. So we looked the lunch menu over there is a different dinner menu that starts at 4. I started with a basil Haden old fashion wife had ice tea wife ordered the chicken bacon ranch sandwich it came with fries and I ordered the pair and ricotta stuffed sacchetti with grilled chicken added to it. It's pretty cool that this place is a liquor store and a restaurant, you can see the kitchen and the cooks fixing food. Our meals came and wow everything looked delicious, I couldn't wait to take a bite. The wife's sandwich looked very good at first she asked if they put half her chicken on my meal but what they had done was cut the chicken in half and stacked them. My meal was delicious I was a little nervous that I wasn't going to like it but after the first bite it was delicious. Those small homemade pasta filled pillows of pasta were just amazing as well was the chicken with the cream sauce, I did ask if next time I ordered this could I get a little extra sauce he said sure. Well a few minutes later someone came up behind me and put down a small container of extra sauce, it just wasn't enough if I hadn't got the chicken on it it would have be perfect. Now it's dessert time, we were told what the specials are and they had another rather large list of desserts, my wife ordered the peanut butter pie and I had the salted caramel espresso cheese cake. We got these togo because we were so stuffed from lunch so that evening we had our dessert and they were both excellent. read more

Horrible customer service. Left my credit card behind on Father's Day and called 15 minutes later. Hostess verified that she had my card. Told her I'd be back in Monday to pick it up. She stated" we're closed on Monday can you pick it up on Tuesday?" Told her on Tuesday it would take me 45 minutes to get there but yes I'd be there. When I arrived I was informed that they cut my card up Monday morning and well "things happen" per Taylor who I actually spoke to and had my card in hand on Sunday. Terrible terrible customer service and will never ever return. Asked for owner/GM information and was told " he's unavailable, on vacation". Unapologetic and very unprofessional. Everything about this restaurant is excellent. The owner (chef) and his wife personally make it around to everyone's table on some nights. Your order is always perfect and comes in a timely manner. They have a rotating "Specials" menu and they pair it with beer or wine. My third time at Harvest Thyme was the deal sealer. This restaurant is fantastic. They have the best SMOKED Korean BBQ Hot Wings I have ever had. It's hit and miss. Initially, it was a a quaint out-of-the-way, relaxing, neighborhood bar & restaurant. However, their increasingly COMPLICATED food combinations make it mostly a MISS. They messed up ...Lasagna! How about some simple meals? Salads, fish, chicken, steak steamed veggies, baked potato. Simple desserts-berries & whipped cream, angel food cake, fruit pies Appetizers? soup, sourdough & butter, veggies & hummus. read more

What went well ? Let's See . Stopped in today for Brunch . They made a few accomodations for us , they didn't have to but they pleasantly did. The Food was over the top , on a scale of 1-10 it was 11. The service was excellent and she was always there when we needed her. The Owner/ Chef was on the floor often speaking openly with the guests , including us. Don't miss Harvest Thyme it's well worth it. read more

Excellent local restaurant with a huge selection of wine! We came here on a Friday night around 8pm and although it was busy, we were seated immediately. The restaurant was full, but not too loud. We enjoyed the harvest board charcuterie platter, the crab cakes, and filet mignon, and we finished the meal with both the flourless chocolate cake and the harvest smash a la mode. Everything was made well, had great portion sizes, and delivered timely. Our server, Kelly, was helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend! read more

We made reservations there for 6:30 Thursday 10-9 and the messed that up and never sat down until 7:34 disappointing. The food was average not great just ok I had to ask the gentlemen could he check on our food and he came back and it would be ready in a moment so that was supposed waitalong with the whole night wait, wait and wait.i also want to say I stopped the crabcake dinner because I have never seen a piece of jumbo lump in my cc dinner and the taste was below average. The first "greetings" one receive at this restaurant are a disclaimer (and they are repeated on the bill, in case you missed them) on the menu, are: 1. No adjustments will be made if you do not like your food; descriptions are on the menu. And 2. Industry standard gratuity is 18%; unless you inform management "in advance" of a "problem, your gratuity will be adjusted for you." Whaaat? I have never been to a restaurant anywhere and been greeted with two warnings. No matter how pleasant the atmosphere, how courteous the service, nor how tasty the food--I will never return here. I wrote a short and polite note on my bill re: these inappropriateness of these statements. The waiter chased us down to our car and was very short with us. When I tried to explain my position, he cut me off and said. "It really doesn't matter" That sums it up. To Harvest Thyme, you pay up and put up, because--well--you really don't matter. read more

We keep going back to try more! And what we try is just as good as the last dish. The drinks/martinis are made right kudos to the bar. The meatball with stuffed mozzarella is good. We loved the Greek salad w/shrimp we split that the shrimp were flavorful and the feta was quality, but it left you wanting more since it was crumbles. I ordered the halibut with crab on top the halibut a large piece of but it is rich and d filling the jasmine rice had a nice flavor and went well with the sautéed rice and fish. read more

Was looking for a happy hour spot that would be great for a friend traveling down 50 towards DC. Found this place on Yelp and had to try it with all the great reviews. We were both excited about their happy hour menu and crushes that were on the happy hour menu on the website. We both were running late. I pulled up around 6:53 and inquired about happy hour. It is only at the bar and outside. Thankfully there were two seats at the bar and I quickly scooped them up. The restaurant was packed and a little warm but nothing unbearable. Alessandro was our bartender and worked with us to quickly order some items from the menu. He was friendly and provided great suggestions! Unfortunately the crushes are no longer being offered but they had some other delicious cocktails. I got the pomegranate Prosecco punch and it was delicious. We also ordered old bay wings and the lettuce wrap of the day was tuna. Both were really good. The tuna lettuce wraps were a show shopper. They were delicious and I definitely could have ordered another. Planning to come back and try dinner in the near future. read more

The food here was delicious. The pasta was definitely housemade; sure, a lot of places claim that but this tasted fresh to me! (Sometimes maker of pasta at home) I wish there was a little more to the portion but I had added on chicken at the waitresses suggestion, which made it more of a complete meal. My bf had the cheesesteak sub which he said could have used more seasoning. He had the campfire drink and I had what I believe was the Pomegranate Prosecco Punch. Both the drinks were very good. The cheesecake was great. They have rotating special flavors (weekly?) which I love. Our waitress was great. Definitely recommend this place! It looks like they also do cake orders to go! read more

I grabbed a seat at the bar and I was immediately greeted by the staff. The interior is wine themed and cozy. The menu has so many options it was hard to choose what to order. Decided to stop by Harvest Thyme for an early dinner with my significant other who had never been before. I have enjoyed drinks and pizza at the bar on many occasions with friends because I love the atmosphere, ambience and service. However, today I can't give much of a positive rating on the meal. My food came out luke warm and was very tasteless... cheese wasn't melted, spaghetti was very lump, clumped together and sauce was extremely bland for chicken parmigiana. My significant other ordered a porterhouse steak that was extremely fatty with a significant amount of tough gristle, Needless to say he was very disappointed and unimpressed stating that he wouldn't return for the steak special. Although this visit was a disappointment, overall we will return for all the positive Harvest Thyme Tavern has to offer. I would have given a five star rating if my cocktail, and food were better prepared and wait time for meal and cocktail remix was shortened. read more

Harvest Thyme is a hidden gem! I kept seeing the ads in our church newsletter and I was finally able to try it recently for a date night. First off, this place is date and family friendly! The parties are separated nicely so kids and adults can enjoy themselves! Our waitress was so amazing and because it was our first time, she raved about the chef and the restaurant's focus on boar. I've never had boar before and let me tell you - it is not gamey and tastes delicious, especially if you eat it at Harvest and Thyme. The meat was soft, flavorful and delicious! Our waitress recommended a wine to go with it (I am bad at names and I remember the flavors) that enhanced the flavors of my meal. So so good!! Then I topped the meal off with the homemade apple pie with ice cream! So good! They make seasonal desserts but I am under the belief that you can't go wrong with apple pie, a classic. Did I mention that everything is made in house? The owner welcomed us to the restaurant and mentioned they also sell alcohol - who knew?? This place is a must try for the ambiance, service and food!! Always friendly staff and great food! Love the changing seasonal selections. My 5 yr old loves the kid charcuterie board.

Great neighborhood spot that is a diamond! Celebrating New Year's Eve tonight with my friends and neighbors and the restaurant had a special menu which was every bit mouthwatering from appetizers, including pork, belly bites, two brie cheese, two lamb, lollipops, and barbecue shrimp. So many more choices, but the New Year's Eve menu was a gem. My lemon herb chicken for me was a 100% home run however, my friends ordered the Chilean Seabass and I really believe that was the best presentation of the night! The mushroom risotto served with my lemon chicken was impeccably and slowly made. The expected richness and creaminess was there, and the flavor was also! The flourless cake is always a hit with my friends and served with creamy vanilla ice cream. The cookies and cream cheesecake was also a hit, and there was no dessert left at the end of the night! A wonderful local spot for New Year's Eve when you just aren't that person that wants to go out too far from home. The owner came over and greeted us and talked with us about 25 minutes and they also serve bottles at excellent prices of various liquors wines and whiskeys. Many of their prices rival the beverage stores in the community. This is my last review for 2022. Happy New Year's Eve everyone! read more
