We picked: Specialty rolls (Rainforest Roll & Spicy Mountain roll). Normal roll (Spicy tuna). Main appetizer (Garlic steak). Small appetizer (chicken Karaage). Also ordered Sapporo (draft) and plum wine. Ambience: traditional Japanese restaurant. Lots of wood work. Double door entrance. At the entrance you mention your party size to the host. Host guides you to your table. On the way you will be greeted by your sushi chefs. There are also private rooms for larger parties. Very warm and cozy feel. Great for a casual and relaxed date night. This is my husband's fave spot. He wanted to bring me here when we were first getting to know each other but it was closed every time we tried to come. So, finally I could check it out. Review: Let's start with the drinks. The draft beer is really good. We often ask for Sapporo draft other places but no one else carries it. The plum wine was VERY sweet. I like very sweet wine, but others may not like it as much. Next, chicken karaage, you'll see in the picture that they are deep fried balls of chicken. Here the karaage is of smaller size, so the deep fried has a good crunch outside and juicy chicken inside. It comes with a Japanese mayo based sauce. The sauce goes really well with the dish. Next, garlic steak. OMG, the garlic steak deserves a 10 on 5. The flavor was perfect. They cook it medium rare. The meat quality is great. You MUST order it! The rolls are generous in their fish portion. Fish tastes VERY fresh. We couldn't finish it all so we had to take the sushi rolls to go. You NEVER take sushi to go, but we broke that rule. Next day my sushi tasted just fine. I did refrigerate it right away. But that confirms that the fish is fresh and good quality. The speciality rolls were normal rolls dipped in spicy mayo or eel sauce, so it added the conventional taste. The mountain spicy tuna was also spicy tuna with spicy mayo and eel sauce. This is hands-down my favorite restaurant in Georgia. The atmosphere is comfortable and not pretentious. However, the quality of food is that of a five-star restaurant. The sushi is outstanding--from the fatty tuna roll to the oishi roll--you cannot go wrong. I have not tried the ramen myself, but my friends rave about it. I go here to treat myself quite a bit. Haru is one of the Japanese restaurant that I would go to for authentic Japanese food. I prefer to go for lunch than dinner because lunch they have Udon/Ramen and you can add a mini bowl of unagi (eel) don for $5. Food I got from Haru were Tako Yaki, Futo Maki, and Tan Tan Ramen with a mini unagi don. Tako Yaki: 5 per order. They are round balls made of radish with piece of octopus in the middle. I think they've added more than the radish because it was bit too soft, liquidity soft rather than the normal texture. They add dried fish flakes on top of the balls and drizzles with mayo and this brown sauce. Really delicious. (See pic) 4 Stars Futo Maki: 5 per order. This is also known as the big Roll. It's more of a sweet roll I feel. It has basic ingredients like egg, cucumber, imitation crab meat, a radish type veg, and pink shredded fish which I think this is the key ingredient. It makes the Roll sweet. I highly recommend it. (See pic) 5 Stars Tan Tan Ramen: A big bowl of ramen with spicy soup. You choose a soup base (Miso, Chashyu (Pork), chicken) topped with minced pork, Bambi shoots, and green onions. I added corns for $.50. There are other toppings you can add for $.50-$1. Soup wasn't too spicy which is good, but Pork flavor was bit overpowering and it was a bit too salty. Had a good flavor though. (See pic) 3.5 Stars Mini Unagi Don: A small bowl of rice topped with 2 pieces of eel in Teriyaki sauce. Eel was cooked nicely. Teriyaki sauce bit too salty. Since Yelp only gives you the option of 5 stars I put 4, however I feel there is a little, emphasis on the little, room for improvement. 4.5/5 overall. We came to eat at Haru Ichiban on a Thursday at around 6:45. It wasn't too busy but customers kept coming through the duration of our meal. I always view a strong customer base as a good thing when eating at a new place. We were seated promptly and a server quickly fetched us drinks. The menu is vast-I wish I could have tried more things on the menu such as the Japanese cooked foods. They had an Okonomiyaki special, maybe next time. We ended up ordering seaweed salad and Chicken Karaage as an appetizer, which both came out super fast. The seaweed salad here is served with nori strips on top--not really a big fan as the nori texture is papery. Will ask for no nori next time. The chicken karaage was tasty, however half of the small plate was a pile of daikon or some garnish making it look a bit bigger than it was. Dark meat chicken and wasabi mayo was great. Appetizers: 4/5 Onto the main plate of sushi, I was extremely impressed at the speed of the sushi chefs. To give you an idea of how fast, we were in and out within about 30-35 minutes. We ordered sweet shrimp, mackerel, eel, tamago, tuna, albacore, yellowtail, salmon, and otoro (fatty tuna belly). They all tasted great! The tamago looks like they make it by themselves which was very yummy. The eel nigiri had very little bones and was slightly crispy and very yummy. My favorite was the otoro, which had a melt-in-your-mouth, very oily savory flavor. I liked that they included the wasabi in between the pieces of nigiri, very traditional and you don't have to use too much extra wasabi if any at all. Sushi: 5/5 However, being that the food was so great, as you can see from my added photos, the plating and presentation was very lackluster and indicative of a lower-tier restaurant. Although I see what they're getting at--the food should speak for itself and they don't emphasize upon presentation, I believe that good visuals can make a good meal great, and a great meal better. Presentation: 4/5 The waitresses around the restaurant were very receptive to our needs, were very polite and they worked as a team filling drinks for each others' tables. Went with some friends for lunch and it was packed. The waiting time was only 10-15 mins which was pretty fast. They have lots of options for lunch including combinations and bento boxes. The staff is all really nice and the food came out quick as well. We ordered a vegetable tempura assortment, chicken karaaga, ramen combination with onigiri, and a beef don. They were all served with miso soup and a ginger salad. The tempura came with two broccoli, two asparagus, a sweet potato, eggplant, and squash. Also with a side of potato salad and rice. It was light, crispy, and filling. The beef don was piled up and so was much we had left overs. The chicken karaage was basically chicken nuggets, nothing special. Since I've moved to Duluth, Haru Ichiban is my new go-to Japanese restaurant. I first noticed Haru Ichiban when some friends and I went to go try El Torrero and I really wanted to try it but we promised each other that we were eating Mexican tonight. Hubs and I finally got to try Haru Ichiban a few weeks ago and boy, did I love it. Service is just right: not too pushy and intrusive but not too long where you feel forgotten. I love how everyone is greeted right when they walk in. There's plenty of seating so go ahead and bring your friends but it seems like the booths do fill up quickly. I want to sit at the sushi bar one day and order some good stuff. There's a place for the "catch of the day" as well as chef's recommendation. The dinner menu is definitely an expansion of the lunch menu but I love that the lunch menu has a lot of options and not just a limited few to choose from. When Hubs and I came for dinner, he ordered a combo with karaage and teriyaki steak and man, that karaage was bomb. It was fresh and crispy and I liked it more than my own food, which was sukiyaki udon (I mean, it was good too but the meat tasted better!). They do have experiences you can do, such as sukiyaki and shabu shabu, but the problem is that you need to have a party of four people minimum so if you want to try that, make sure you bring like-minded people with the same goal of trying either sukiyaki or shabu shabu. Your bill at the end may be a little expensive but trust me, for the quality of food you are getting, it is WORTH it. I come here about every other month for my sushi craving as it's a convenient distance from my workplace for lunch. For lunch I recommend the Salmon Special Combo, Oishi Roll, or Tonkatsu Ramen. Sometimes if I want a lot of fish, I will opt for the Chirashi Bowl, which they do an awesome job with. They also have lunch combinations for the indecisive. I enjoy the free green tea they sometimes give out with the meal as it complements the sushi well. This place still gives me an inconsistent experience, but it's the best sushi that Duluth has to offer at the moment as it's authentic, the fish taste fresh (only once of about a dozen times it was not), and has a nice atmosphere. For a small group of 2 or 3, I have found that the service isn't too bad that I would need to avoid peak hours at this place. read more

Our go-to orders are usually the sashimi assortment (chef's choice), spicy tuna mountain, and we try a few different small plates each time too. One of my favorite things about this establishment is their variety of choices in authentic Japanese dishes--not only sushi, but their rice dishes, rice boxes, onigiri, kushiyaki, sukiyaki, and the list goes on. I have been eating here several times now.. wow! I cannot believe I have not written a review for this place. Ordered: takoyaki (balls with octopus pieces inside it) = $5.95 okonomiyaki = $12.50 dome salad = $11.95 house sake (HOT-LARGE) = $10.50 tempura/sashimi bento box = $27.95 shrimp tempura = $17.95 The size of this takoyaki was HUGE! WHAT HUGE BALLS! The octopus pieces were nice and tender. I enjoyed it.. just not so much of the size of these balls! Okonomiyaki is a Japanese savoury pancake containing a variety of ingredients. Okonomi means either "what you like" or "what you want" and yaki means either "grilled/cooked". So there was this one restaurant in Tokyo, Japan that served okonomiyaki. It was with cabbages, pork belly, shrimp and I think scallop in it mixed with flour, egg yolk, and water, then grilled on top of a mini grill and when it was still cooking or still hot, the waitress added the kewpie mayo and dried fish on top along with the teriyaki sauce! It was really REALLY AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS!!! But the okonomiyaki at this place.. wasn't that great at all! I was so disappointed! And this okonomiyaki was made with noodles!? WHAT THE....?! Why did they cook it with noodles?! I don't get it! Anyways, definitely will not be ordering this cuisine ever ever again.. unless, of course, I go visit Japan, again! Dome-salad is what looks likes avocado cover with salmon roe on top. The avocado is thinly sliced and neatly put into place and within the avocado you get to choose either the salmon (raw) or crab salad. The salmon pieces (raw) really complimented the salad dressing that was all around this avocado dome. Also, it had tobiko which is flying fish roe mixed in with the salad dressing. YUM! I enjoyed this very much.. but for the price of this? Nah! I rather make it myself at home. House sake was ordered for my dad. My dad really enjoyed it along with my sister, Crystal H. My dad said it was ok. How disappointing.. but I guess it's because it was the "house sake" and nothing special. Tempura/sashimi bento box... now this.. OH MY GOODNESS!! Never in my life had I seen the sashimi cut so ridiculously thick! It's suppose to be delicately sliced (thin but not too thin).. I wasn't too happy to see that. A friend shared that Haru Ichiban means the first blush of spring. Poetic. It seems like every time I visit, the weather outside is rainy and cold. This makes the hot green tea that much more satisfying as I tuck myself away in a booth and start flipping through the extensive menu. Part of the excitement includes trying a new appetizer, noodle bowl, or sushi combo. The return seems to outweigh the risk each time. I recently brought family visiting for the holidays from Utah. They loved the sushi and said it was the best they've had. We ordered the Tako Yaki (octopus balls) and vegetable tempura to start. One bite into the crisp exterior of the takoyaki and we could see the steam escape. The inside was creamy and filled with minced octopus, tenkasu (tempura scraps), pickled ginger and green onions. A mayonaise based sauce drizzled over the top plus shavings of dried bonito. Applause for the Japanese hushpuppy. Other favorites include the sunset roll with slices of lemon on top. Bright & refreshing. A relative ordered the California roll, which made me want to toss a chopstick at his eye, but -płease don't judge - I liked the roll a lot. Slightly sweet and surprisingly flavorful. Lastly, the unagi crunch roll was overdressed. No need to mask the fresh flavors here, the fish is the star. Thanks to Chef Rome Noe for steering me here. So because of the colder weather, all my friends are stuffing their faces with pho while I'm not because I just don't like pho. I realized it's the noodles and the beef broth, I don't like beef, don't hate. I've recently discovered fresh ramen, why not sooner? I eat the instant noodles all the time. After searching on Yelp and asking around, I finally decided to go try Haru Ichiban. It's located next to Laser Quest and Zero C! The restaurant was a lot smaller than I thought. In a way, it looks crowded but reading reviews on other ramen style restaurants, it's the norm. I felt the tables are so close together, that's the only negative. We sat down by a booth and was given water, a small plate with three edamame & seaweed. I like edamame and glad it wasn't too much since ordered a few appetizers and main dish. Salmon Onigiri - it's like a big sushi ball filled with salmon wrapped with seaweed, it's good and I enjoyed it Sunset Sushi - I didn't expect the tuna to be raw, it was laying on top of a rolled sushi, topped with slices of lemon. Honestly, I didn't expect to like it that much, very impressed. Tonkotsu Ramen - creamy rich white pork broth with roast pork, bamboo, seaweed, green onions, very flavorful! Tantan Ramen - spicy red soy chicken broth with ground pork, bamboo shoots, bean sprouts, green onions. Surprisingly very spicy. Honestly, when I first saw it, reminded me so much of the Hmong/Lao/Thai dish Kapoon which I love a lot except I prefer it with shredded chicken. So much ground pork that I couldn't finish it! For my mom's birthday dinner, my siblings and I decided to bring the family to Haru Ichiban. It's located just a few miles from our house, so it was super convenient to get here. To be honest, my mom loves sushi but is very particular about the places that she will go to have fresh, raw fish. She was extremely iffy about this place, but we assured her that we had read very good reviews on Yelp for Haru Ichiban. When we first entered the restaurant (around 7 pm on a Friday), no one was at the front counter. The restaurant was pretty full as expected on a Friday evening. About five minutes later, the hostess showed up at the counter and seated the six of us soon afterwards. We were all feeling particularly indecisive about what we wanted, so we asked our server to give us a couple more minutes the first time she came to take our orders. Our server was very friendly as she answered questions we had about certain items on the menu. She also provided each of us small plates of complimentary appetizers - edamame (boiled green soybeans) and what looked (and tasted) like tiny, rolled-up pieces of seaweed. Whatever it was, it was tasty, and the edamame was as good as it ever is. After deliberating for a while, I decided to order the Pork Cutlet from the "Meat Dinner" section of the menu. All "Dinner" meals are served with steamed white rice and miso soup. Although the Pork Cutlet is also available as a "Meat Appetizer" ($8.50), the appetizer is a much smaller portion (according to our server) and obviously doesn't come with rice. In addition to each of our dinners, we ordered two appetizers to share - the Chicken Karaage and Takoyaki. As expected, the appetizers were served first. * Chicken Karaage ($5.50) - Per the menu description, these are basically Japanese-style "Fried marinated Chicken Nuggets" served with wasabi mayo on the side. Although I didn't try the wasabi mayo (DARN!), the nuggets are pretty tasty. However, they're not the best Chicken Karaage I've ever had, and it's definitely overpriced for the few small pieces you get. * Takoyaki ($5.50) - One order of this appetizer consists of seven fried octopus balls. I had heard of these "amazing" things but I had never tried them previously. I usually prefer chicken or beef appetizers, but my younger sister insisted we try them since she had tried them at another Japanese restaurant and loved it. I have to admit, I was blown away by how yummy this was! The outside is slightly crispy and the inside is soft, and it has a great flavor. If you don't mind octopus, I highly recommend you try these! However, they are served very hot so take small bites! =) The miso soup, which was included with my dinner, was served with the appetizers. I'm not a big fan of miso soup, but I thought it was decent. We didn't have to wait much longer before we started getting our entrees. * Pork Cutlet (Dinner, $16) - Also known as "tonkatsu," this Japanese-style dish consists of "deep-fried, panko-breaded pork tenderloin." It's one of my favorite Japanese dishes, and it's usually served with a dark brown dipping sauce that's sweet, slightly tangy, and delicious. To me, the sauce is an absolute necessity with tonkatsu, and it has to be good to complete the pork cutlet dish. Honestly, $16 is ridiculously expensive considering how simple this dish is. However, I have to admit that Haru Ichiban's version was very good. The panko breading was near perfect, pork was tender, and the sauce was yummy. The pork cutlet dinner is served with a side of shredded cabbage salad, which was topped with a tiny bit of mayo-based dressing. I wished there was more dressing because there was hardly any on it, but I held back from requesting more because I knew it wasn't "necessary." My parents and siblings ordered Sashimi Gozen (traditional Japanese dinner served on a Gozen tray, $26.50), Chashumen ($10), Tempura Noodles ($9.50), and T Y Roll (Specialty roll which contains salmon, tuna, and avocado topped with three different types of masago, $12). My parents thought the sashimi was fresh and decent (again, they're super picky about their sushi), and my siblings enjoyed their meals. I tried a bit of the Chashumen (Chashu Ramen) and thought it was "OK," but the pork-flavor of the soup was overwhelming. I wouldn't order it, but my sister, Yoomee H., enjoyed it. Overall, Haru Ichiban gets 3.5 stars for their authentic but extremely overpriced Japanese food. However, I'm rounding up to 4 stars because the server was nice and the food was generally delicious. Since the food is pricey for what it is, I wouldn't specifically choose to come back to Haru Ichiban (I already have a favorite tonkatsu place in Duluth!). A good sushi place to go if you want to be full without having to spend $50 per person! The quality of the fish is also good, not the best but not bad either. They have a variety of combo choices, as well as appetizers and ramen. This place is comparable to Shoya, if not better. Some of my favorite sushi rolls are the Unagi Super Crunch, Tuna Roll, and Yellowtail Roll. Oh and their octopus balls actually have BIG CHUCKS of squid legs in the balls, whereas you can barely taste the octopus at other places. Free & ample parking. Located in the same plaza as LaserQuest, Subways, & Zero Frozen Yogurt. They are quite busy for lunch, but the longest I've had to wait was about 10-15 minutes. My friends have warned me about this place but I wanted to try it out for myself before making up my own opinion. We came in around 8:30ish on a Saturday night. This place was fairly busy. I saw that they were offering a special dinner option for 2 for 50$. I was thinking of getting that but it was just too much foods for the two of us. Instead we ordered: Rainforest roll Special eel roll Avocado dome (appetizers) The avocado dome looks kind of intimidating because I have never seen something like that. It's avocado shaped like a ball with salmon and crab meats on the inside. The whole ball sits on a dressing of fish eggs and this tangy sauce. I posted pictures. Overall, the sauce I wasn't a big fan of, but the taste of salmon was deff. Fresh and went well with the avocado. I think it was passable. The two rolls were both very heavy on sauces. The sauces was so strong it overshadow all the other ingredients. Both rolls have shredded crab meats in the middle and either cucumber or avocado as well. That's it. It was very similar and only differences was the ingredients on top. Even that was very salty. I drank a lot of water that night. And no one came to refill or ask us if everything was alright. At the end of the meal, I wanted ice cream. So I had to flag a waitress down to get a dessert menu. She dropped it off and was never seen again. We waited and waited. Finally, we just got up and went to the front of the restaurant to pay. There we saw our waitress and she asked us if we wanted desserts. I said yes but had to wait too long so I don't want it anymore. She ignored me and said something to her co worker and laugh. Hello? I'm still standing there!! So rude! Based on all the great reviews, I had lunch at Haru Ichiban and was expecting really great things.... I have to admit that I was just a bit disappointed. As I expected, the place was busy but I was seated promptly at the sushi bar. Since I was not familiar with the menu or their "sushi style" IF you know what I mean... I just played it safe and ordered the Special Tuna combination off of the lunch menu. Pros: The ginger salad dressing was off the charts! Tastes fresh and not from a bottle. The miso soup was great! Not too salty, which it tends to be at other places. Cons: The sushi itself. The maguro was ok, but the Albacore was awful. The spicy tuna roll was ok but the other one tasted "fishy" I stopped after the first bite. I really wanted to love Haru Ichiban... but it was just OK. Definitely glad my bf randomly discovered this place. I honestly thought we'd stay in town/BuHi more for our date nights, but recently we've been going more OTP. Parking - Haru Ichiban is a part of a strip mall - Same lot as Mango6/Mings/Iron Age, but walk to right of the strip mall and you'll see parking lots way closer to Haru. It's awesome. So many spots! You'll have no problem finding one. Even that part of the lot was full, you'll find spots nearby. Walking an extra 15 steps won't hurt you. Space - they have several 2 and 4 man tables inside. I never waited for a table to open up... but we usually went on Friday nights at like 7:45PM. I'm assuming we missed the dinner rush? Haru also has a sushi bar if you really want to sit up there. I did see they had a group area on the left side of the restaurant if you had a lot of people coming. Service - I've never had bad services. Super nice folks who work here. :) Food: When you sit down, you'll get complimentary edamame with seaweed or another kind of garlic like seaweed(?). It's a cool concept. Appetizers: Chicken Karaage- tasted like your usual chicken. Fried. The sauce included goes really well with the Chicken. We saved the sauce and I used it with my Chicken Teriyaki. Nomnom. Tofu - this is my main fav app here. Love the tofu & the sauce. Has a nice kick. Vegetable Tempura - this app was a lot more than we thought. But then again, we eat food super slow so half way through, our main courses arrived. I think this is my 2nd fav. Wasn't too soggy nor was it too fried. I would say... if you have 3 people, get this. That way 2 people won't be a little full before the main course comes out. ***Haru is very generous in their Ramen Bowl sizes. Wow. They could feed giants or an extremely hungry person. Very impressed with it. Tan Tan Ramen: This is the spicier Ramen and it's my favorite. The noodles & broth are rich with flavor. No greasy broth and no soggy noodles. Haru cooks it very well. Even with vegetables or etc - they are fresh....None of this 'a few days old' nonsense happens in these bowls. Miso Ramen: This is my 2nd favorite. It's the typical Ramen, not spicy or anything. My comments on this remain the same as the Tan Tan Ramen. But I do add sriracha to this since I like the flair of miso. Noodles & broth are delicious. Perfect amount of cooking. Chicken Teriyaki - Strangest thing I've seen. They give you this in a Grilled kind of way. When one of the servers gave me a big cutting knife, I thought she gave it to the wrong table. Nope - she was right. They give you the chicken as a whole - like a chicken breast. You cut it the way you want to eat it. They also give you corn potato (which was great btw!) along with sauce. Apparently, the staff doesn't know the food the serve. I asked about various dishes in the menu, and they couldn't answer my question. .which makes me wonder about the food.... However, after sitting down and ordering some food, my mind quickly changed. I ordered the rainforest roll and b52 roll. ..2 great rolls (see pictures)... For sushi, to not have to dip into soy and wassabi is a great thing. I was very happy about that. It was a nice experience here, as I came with a party. Overall, the food was good. . If I were to rate just upon the food, I'd give this place a 3.5 stars. However, since our waitress and all the other employees were so nice, I've bumped it up to 4 stars. As soon as the hostess started taking my fiance and I to our seats, the chefs behind the counter all greeted us with a loud "irrashaimase!" which is the typical way workers greet customers in Japan. This made me feel very at home and comfortable, almost like I was in Japan again. My fiance and I decided to order the okonomiyaki as an appetizer since I have been craving it for some time now. It came to our table still sizzling in its dish with the bonita flakes dancing on top of it in the heat. We were surprised at how much we got considering it was an appetizer. You could order this as a meal for one person if you wanted. This okonomiyaki is Hiroshima styled, meaning that it's much thicker than say Osaka or Kobe okonomiyaki. Since I wasn't used to the style, I didn't like it as much as the okonomiyaki I had in Japan. However, I would still recommend this to people who want to try real Japanese food. For my main dish, I ordered the beef soba which, sadly, did not include a fresh egg on top. Even though I was a bit disappointed at that, I still enjoyed the dish. The beef was perfectly seasoned, as was the broth, and the noodles were great tasting as well. I wish the restaurant was decorated more as it would be in Japan. I guess it didn't help that we were sat in a back corner. The oshibori was a unique Japanese touch as well, but they should use the cloth kind instead! I'm not afraid to order sashimi and octopus here. The sashimi was thick cut and very fresh. There is also softshell crab on the menu as an appetizer. It was amazing. The service was a little slow during the busy lunch hour but it was worth it. Come early if you want a good seat. I came back many times after my first review. The service is much better. I am late on this review. I have been here several times though. Although the sushi is a little bit pricey-- talk about the dish being displayed well. Favorite restaurant in the world. I've moved away from Atlanta a few times and this is the place I always miss and crave. Irreplaceable. My highlights are sushi sashimi deluxe, tonkotsu ramen, tempura, avocado dome with rice, beef don, final weapon roll, super dragon roll, and mix the rice with ginger dressing and let it sit until it's thick and easy to scoop with your chopsticks (best with karaage chicken) The best highlight though is the wonderful people that work there. If you're a nice regular, they will remember your name and little details about you and what you like. It's a restaurant that you can grow to love and proudly tell everyone about. Cozy place in Duluth for good Japanese food. Haru Ichiban serves all of your Japanese staples - sushi, ramen, udon noodles, gozen (meal trays with appetizers, entrees, and a dessert), robata appetizers, and teriyaki - all at reasonable prices. I usually order sushi or a soup when I come here. The sushi is solid 4-star sushi. There are common rolls (tuna, salmon, California) and a decent selection of specialty rolls and signature rolls. The presentation of the rolls is attractive, but not super flashy. Examples of specialty rolls include the Haru Ichi Special (deep fried tuna topped with masago, eel sauce, scallion, and sesame seeds), the Sunset Roll (spicy tuna and fried asparagus, topped with salmon, tuna and lemon slices), and the T Y Roll (salmon, tuna, and avocado topped with three different kinds of masago). As you can see, the menu is immense and will take a while to get through. I liked the T Y Roll and the Rainbow Roll. If you're not into strange rolls, you may not like the lemon slices on the Sunset Roll. In addition, I've ordered both the ramen and the Tanuki Udon. The ramen here is only okay - the broth isn't as tasty as other local ramen restaurants, but you get a lot of food. I do recommend the Tanuki Udon - the noodles were soft and the fish broth had a great flavor. Small plates of complimentary edamame are served for appetizers. Located off of Satellite Blvd and in a large shopping Plaza near Mings BBQ, Iron Age, Laser Quest and quite a few other establishments. There's plenty of parking and pretty easy to find. They have lunch hours and separate dinner hours so inbetween those times they are closed to prep for the next meal time. Price range is mid, neither cheap nor unaffordable. I came here for a friend's birthday party and couldn't wait to dig into the Ramen she often talked about. The Ramen I ordered had a ton of veggies and the broth was rich and creamy. I also ordered a special roll that I ended up not touching because I got too full from the soup! I took it home and ate it the next day and it was amazing. The quality of the ingredients really shines through the food. They also have great service, not too pushy and not neglectful. They were also patient and had no problem answering any of my questions. I love Ramen and have brought several friends and family here to try it out and they all love it too. It's a little on the expensive side but it's worth it every once in awhile. I come here all the time with my boyfriend. He was the first one to introduce me to this place and by far this has to be one of my top 5 favorite restaurants that I go to. When we come here during lunch time, we usually order their takoyaki as an appetizer and chirashi, sashimi deluxe, or sushi deluxe for the meal. And time to time we get their ramen as well. I took my girlfriend here for a night out. We set up the sushi bar and it was amazing! Waitress was able to make excellent recommendations. Definitely authentic food! We talk to the sushi chef for a good amount of time. A lot of fun hearing his stories. The food was fantastic and the pricing was pretty good.
