    Salmon
    Monique M.

I came here on a Tuesday. The ambiance was nice and there was no wait time. The server came right out to seat me. I ordered the salmon box with rice on the side. I'd say, overall the food was only ok, I wasn't that crazy about it.

METAL IN MY FRIED RICE! bland, overpriced, no garlic butter i rice? tasted like steam rice. steak was 40% fat. no lemon on shrimps. this is a total failure.

They even made a heart shape in the rice for Valentine's Day!

Food is always spot on. Sushi is delicious. Friendly welcome every time. They sang happy birthday to our coworker and made a heart shape of the rice for Valentine's Day.

Place is huge and was clean. Waiter was friendly and quick to serve us! Food came out quickly as well, we were in and out in 30 minutes. Sushi roll was a 5/5 but hibachi chicken lunch fell short. It's not hibachi but rather chicken teriyaki with unseasoned fried rice. Soup and salad were good and came with the entree! Sushi was 50% off on Monday which was a great deal!

Celebrating a birthday today and she decided on hibachi by her house!!! Here's how it went. Ambiance: very club like feel, retro and vibing. Service: was good and attentive but nothing out of the ordinary. Food: was decent and scratches the itch but pretty pricey and made me a little tummy sick. They are having all you can eat dim sum coming soon too. Overall not a bad experience but maybe wouldn't come here again. PS. OUR HIBACHI CHEG CEASAR WAS AWESOME!!!!

It's a "Yes" for us! Volcano does hibachi well. I am a vegetarian so I ordered the veggie hibachi and I was not disappointed at all. It was painful and very flavorful. The service was great. We were actually seated by a robot. The actual waitress was very knowledgeable and very helpful. The restaurant was clean and the service was fast. I would definitely recommend this place for large groups, birthdays, date night or for lunch.

Great vibes and outstanding service! The staff were incredibly accommodating to our fairly large, last-minute birthday group. While the food was pretty standard, the level of service really stood out and made the experience special.

Food was just ok - highlights were the really gigantic TV screen wall, the robot delivering food, and our server Mauricio - great service! SALT & PEPPER CALAMARI - $13.50 I think this restaurant is Chinese-owned ... so expected Chinese or Taiwanese salt & pepper squid based on the menu name ... but it was more like the fried calamari from a package ... that came w/ sweet & sour sauce :( VOLCANO YUMMY TEMPURA SHRIMP - $12.99 (5 pcs) The tempura part was nice & crunchy ... not much shrimp though, and it came with ... sweet & sour sauce :( HIBACHI LUNCH ANGUS STEAK - $14.99 Asked for medium well and it was more like well done ... meat had no flavor and no teriyaki sauce. My friend got the hibachi steak & chicken ... her chicken was drizzled w/ teriyaki sauce but not the steak. Fried rice was a disappointment too - and an extra $2.50 ... expected the smoky hibachi flavor but nope. FYI we did opt not to sit at the hibachi grill but still ... would've expected some sizzle. The mixed veggies were good. The lunch special comes with complimentary salad which was good, and a soup that was no miso but maybe a chicken broth w/ a subtle ginger flavor, plus two mushrooms and one random rotini, lol. Not bad. Kudos for doing a nice birthday treat for my friend - the robot came by with fun party music and our server did a great job leading the birthday song, and served a nice complimentary brownie dessert. Overall just ok - won't be hurrying back.

This is my favorite place to go to on a Monday!! They have half off sushi rolls I love sushi so much and this place has some of the best!! I got the mango roll and the manhattan! Both super bomb If you love or are scared to venture away from getting a basic California roll I highly recommend those two rolls!! You'll love!! GET THE PORK GYOZA They have super good boba teas as well! I've tired all of them but the passion fruit and they're all super refreshing and make a fantastic sweet treat I go for sushi but they also have hibachi! Where they cook it in front of you! The service of course is always amazing! No complaints (: The entrance is so cute they have starry lights and projections!

Agedashi Tofu Tempura Appetizer Spicy Tuna Roll 16 Piece Scorpion King Roll Yami 2014 Roll

Hey y'all, happy Monday! Pulled up to Volcano Steak & Sushi in Duluth, GA, and let me tell you--the vibez here never miss! If you didn't know, Mondays = 50% off sushi rolls, so you already know I had to take advantage. My brother and I were both craving sushi, so this was the perfect spot. We started with appetizers: * Agadashi Tofu - Y'ALL. This tofu was fried to perfection--lightly crispy on the outside, soft and silky inside, and paired with a delicious tempura sauce (I think lol). Either way, 10/10!! * Shrimp & Veggie Tempura - Had a nice crisp, but I wish it was fried just a little longer. Still solid. 8.5/10. Now for the sushi! * Spicy Tuna Roll (added avocado) - Ehh, it was okay. The tuna was chopped nicely, but it lacked flavor and wasn't even spicy. 6/10. * Yami 2024 Roll - OMG, 10,000/10!!! This roll was everything. The seared smoked salmon + fried soft shell crab combo was straight-up magical. Smoky, savory, and that garlic sauce on top just tied it all together. If you go here, you HAVE to try it! * Scorpion King Roll (my brother's pick) - A good balance of shrimp and fried soft shell crab. Pretty tasty. 7/10. * Mango Tea w/ Lychee Boba - My brother said it was super sweet, so if you don't like drinks that are too sugary, ask them to tone it down. It's infused with jasmine tea, so it has a little floral taste too. On top of the good food, this place has clean bathrooms, a big parking lot, and even little robots that deliver your food & drinks (so cool!). Overall, 8/10--definitely a spot worth checking out!

Good food, fun atmosphere really enjoyed your service. A lot of options on the menu, which is good. But one of the biggest plus for me is that they have TVs throughout the restaurant. So if you're looking for some good food and you want to catch the game good place to go

We arrived 15 minutes before our reservation, but were told our table was already ready, so we were seated. (The restaurant tables are very close together, so be aware that if anyone in your party is wheelchair bound, it may be difficult for them to maneuver around.) The restaurant is kept very warm inside, and I'm usually someone who feels cold easily, but even I was rather hot. A woman brought water glasses and a water carafe to our table and said, "If you want something besides water, just let me know," and then walked off. So, in my mind, that woman was a food assistant or a food runner. Turned out, she was our waitress! She later stopped by, didn't introduce herself and didn't ask if we'd ever been there before, but did ask if we wanted an appetizer. We ordered Potato Pancakes. She also asked if we wanted bread service, so we said yes. We did notice from other conversations at the very close tables near ours, that many of the customers are regulars and have their favorite waitstaff. The manager had stopped by a table to regrettably inform a couple that their favorite waiter was out for 2 weeks. So, that did give us hope that if they have regulars, it must be good. The Potato Pancakes were delicious! (I didn't even stop to snap a picture because we were very hungry!) My husband ordered the "Bier" + Cheese Burger ($16.95), and I ordered the Pork Shank "Schwweinehaxe" ($34). The waitress said she had to check the availability of the Pork Shank, so I told her that if it wasn't available, to put in Chicken Wienerschnitzel. Then she didn't come back to let us know what the kitchen said. My husband flagged her down to find out if the pork shank was available, and she said she'd forgotten to come back, but that it was. He also told her that it was my birthday, so she brought out a cute birthday tea light for the table. The food was absolutely delicious, and for the price point, you can easily see why people are regulars there! The pork shank was enormous! (We ate off of it 2 more times after we took it home. The restaurant gave us extra gravy at no charge, too.) The rosemary mashed potatoes were very good! The presentation was lovely! My husband really enjoyed his burger. Then for dessert, our waitress brought out a slice of tiramisu with a wedge of chocolate cake over it, berries, whipped cream, and a little birthday candle in it. Turned out really wonderful! Will definitely go back to this unique spot!

First-time visit to Noona Steak and Seafood in Duluth -- and wow, the food was impressive…read more We had an early 5:15 p.m. reservation through Resy and received clear confirmation and reminder communications from the restaurant. Parking was a challenge due to Valentine's Day and the sheer number of people dining out. That said, parking is often tight in Duluth because of the many restaurants, so it's wise to allow extra time. My wife and I were promptly greeted and seated upon arrival, and our server quickly came over to take our drink orders. I have to mention our server, Maddie, who was one of the most pleasant and personable people we've encountered in a long time while dining out. She was a textbook example of what makes for a great dining experience. At that point, I learned the restaurant was offering a prix fixe Valentine's Day menu, which hadn't been communicated beforehand. While not unusual for the holiday, it did catch me by surprise. Maddie handled the situation professionally when I asked to speak with a manager, and Leon came over quickly. After I explained, they were able to accommodate us by offering the items à la carte, which worked out well since we chose to skip one course and dessert. As for the food -- it was outstanding. My wife had the beet salad and said it was the best she's ever had. I ordered the wedge salad, which was very good. She chose the shrimp appetizer, while I had the stuffed mushrooms; both were excellent. We each ordered the 6-oz filet, cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The mashed potatoes and green beans complemented the steak nicely, and I especially enjoyed the house-made steak sauce, which paired very well with the filet. I also had the opportunity to speak with executive chef and owner George Yu, who was engaging and shared that they cook exclusively over open flames using well seasoned cherry and oak wood from a single supplier. I was even able to thank the chef who prepared our steaks in the wood-fired kitchen. Overall, it was a fantastic Valentine's Day dinner at Noona Steak and Seafood in Duluth, GA.

Service was good, probably because my husband told them I was an elite yelper but also was early on a Saturday night and had only a few tables. They made my custom drink order well. Listened to instructions. Started with a dozen oysters, recommended by the waitress, they were ok. They small and not really flavorful. They had the typical cocktail sauce and horseradish but needed hot sauce. Served also with goldfish crackers, I get the pun but a little tacky for a fine dining establishment. We also had the shrimp with the gochijong sauce. The shrimp were nice size but again lack luster. Where's the seasoning? The gochijong sauce was sparse and was watery. Also the shrimp needed salt. We ordered the surf and turf which was good size. The steak was a little under, ordered it med rare. It was also very thin. The steak was seasoned with corse sea salt at the end. Well that produced some very salty pieces and some under seasoned pieces. Salting before cooking would have helped that and garnish with the course salt. The lobster was small but tasty. Slightly under cooked. The Kim chee fried rice was good but not enough although there were some over ripe Kim chee pieces. The star of the meal was the cheese corn. Delish! Sweet, savory and creamy. Cooked perfectly with enough crunch of the corn to offset the creaminess. It was an anniversary and was offered 3 cake choices and ordered the cheesecake. Non of the cakes are made in house, we asked. The cheesecake was creamy but had a huge crust so the ratio of the cheese mixture to the crust was off balance. BTW a very small slice. All in all I would say we won't be back. Too many other good restaurants nearby.

It was my husband's first time here, so he didn't really know what to expect. I have been here twice and I've always had a great experience. When we arrived between 12 and 12:30, the parking lot was not full, but traffic was steady. As we walked in we were greeted and escorted to our seats. I do apologize for not remembering our waiter's name but he was very nice and attentive. He asked what the occasion was and I said it's our 22nd anniversary. He stated we would get a cake (2 slices of carrot cake) or some other dessert I can't remember. We chose the carrot cake and so happy we did. It was delicious. 2 large slices that honestly could have been shared by 2 additional people. We ordered Spinach dip for the appetizer. For our entrée, Bistro chicken. It comes with 2 large thinly sliced chicken breasts covered in Parmesan cheese, lemon caper sauce, and garlic whipped potatoes. The chicken was tender and juicy. I could have used more lemon capers sauce but it was perfect! The ambience was very cozy as the fireplace was lit. The lights were dimmed. Christmas decor on the tables and entryways. We were casually dressed - a blazer and jeans. Others were dressed as such Oh let me not forget the biscuits with strawberry jam and butter were out of this world! They're known for their hot buttery biscuits. Instead of a loaf of bread, you get biscuits (3) and if you want more it's available. If you're in the area or just don't know where to have dinner/lunch, check out Stoney River. You won't be disappointed! I had a video and 2 photos but I can't locate them right now if I locate them i will upload

I was really looking forward to trying the oysters, but I didn't realize their menu changes often so unfortunately, no oysters this time. A little sad about that! We decided to order pretty much everything off the à la carte menu. Overall, the food was just okay to me. The Brussels sprouts were the hardest to eat they were basically raw, just thinly sliced with sauce poured over. It would've been much better if they were at least steamed or grilled a bit. The mushrooms, though, were absolutely BOMB! If I didn't know what it was, I would've thought it was some sort of meat dish super soft, flavorful, and delicious. Definitely the highlight of the meal. The Wagyu, on the other hand, was a big disappointment. For the price, it was tough and chewy when it should've been buttery and melt-in-your-mouth tender. Overall, the place is cute and the vibes are nice, but the food was overpriced for what it was. I'd only come back for those mushrooms they were that good.

I placed an order for everything on the carte menu. Food was fun and a few of the dishes caught me off guard, in a good way. Pros. We loveeed the maitake mushrooms. This dish was one dish my friend and I had low expectations for. Ironically it's the only dish we would go back for! The bucatini I also had low expectations for. I hardly order pasta, from non pasta specialty places, because the pasta is 99% of the time going to be overcooked. BUT this bucatini was cooked perfectly al dente. The sauce was rich but not too heavy and just enough to cover the noodles without drowning. The crab taste was pretty faint. If it weren't listed on the menu I wouldn't even think it were in the dish. Cons. The brussel sprout salad was honestly almost inedible. It is a raw shaved brussel sprout salad, dressed as a Caesar salad. Although not bad tasting, the core of the sprouts was not tender but dry and hard. There was also a lot of it. Most disappointing was the "waygu ribeye". The quality was pretty horrible. The piece we got had silver skin as well as chunks of fat. I wish I got a picture of the leftover fat from the steak but if you look at my picture you can clearly see slices of just fat. I love a little fat on a well cooked ribeye and do not mind paying for it. But paying $50 for a probably 8oz "waygu" ribeye with only half of it palatable is wild. Regardless, I'm actually going back in a couple of days with my husband because of those amazing mushrooms.. though as I am writing this review I'm debating on canceling my reservation, ordering the mushrooms to go, and just going elsewhere. lol
