I called the restaurant and they updated their DoorDash menu, the tuna roll is available at lunch as well as a dinner item

The Monday deal of 50% off rolls was great, except that the rolls weren't that great. The Kamikaze rolls was super skinny and the salmon was so thin that it was probably less than a regular maki roll, which would be less than half the price. It looks good, most of the roll is filler and not not fish. The raw fish didn't taste fresh either. The service is was slow for getting our table started and our order ready. Maybe we came at an off time. It seems like the place to go if you just want some cheap sushi and the hibachi experience without thinking too much of quality. read more

I came here on a Tuesday. The ambiance was nice and there was no wait time. The server came right out to seat me. I ordered the salmon box with rice on the side. I'd say, overall the food was only ok, I wasn't that crazy about it. read more

Terrible restaurant and they don't correctly put in your to go order, then blame you for them putting the order in wrong. I am not the one who rings in the order, they do, so they need to take accountability. David was the manager on shift and he was rude and should not be a manager. I will be telling everyone to never come to this restaurant and hopefully they close down soon! read more

The first you notice about Volcano Steak and Sushi is the cool interior look. Love the industrial-type theme with the metal welded walls and lighting above the bar area. Both the sushi and hibachi are excellent. The staff is super polite and very efficient. Love the little TOGO robots! I highly recommend you give them a try. read more

Volcano Sushi & Hibachi is hands down our go-to spot, especially for 50% off sushi Mondays. The value is unbeatable; we can easily get 6-7 rolls for around $60, which is an absolute steal, especially in Atlanta. Honestly, who wouldn't come back at that price point? Our must-order rolls never change: Angry Dragon, Manhattan, Yami 2014, Special Crunchy Roll, Fuji Mountain Roll, and the Aloha Roll. We even have these rolls saved in our phone notes app & show the wait staff for quick ordering. Every roll is consistently fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. We always leave completely stuffed and satisfied. Even on busy 50% off Mondays, the service is quick, prompt, and efficient. We've never had an issue dining here -- everything runs smoothly, and the staff keeps things moving without making you feel rushed. Great food, amazing value, and reliable service. Volcano Sushi & Hibachi is a must-visit if you love sushi and a good deal. We'll definitely keep coming back! read more

Place is huge and was clean. Waiter was friendly and quick to serve us! Food came out quickly as well, we were in and out in 30 minutes. Sushi roll was a 5/5 but hibachi chicken lunch fell short. It's not hibachi but rather chicken teriyaki with unseasoned fried rice. Soup and salad were good and came with the entree! Sushi was 50% off on Monday which was a great deal! read more

Celebrating a birthday today and she decided on hibachi by her house!!! Here's how it went. Ambiance: very club like feel, retro and vibing. Service: was good and attentive but nothing out of the ordinary. Food: was decent and scratches the itch but pretty pricey and made me a little tummy sick. They are having all you can eat dim sum coming soon too. Overall not a bad experience but maybe wouldn't come here again. PS. OUR HIBACHI CHEG CEASAR WAS AWESOME!!!! read more

It's a "Yes" for us! Volcano does hibachi well. I am a vegetarian so I ordered the veggie hibachi and I was not disappointed at all. It was painful and very flavorful. The service was great. We were actually seated by a robot. The actual waitress was very knowledgeable and very helpful. The restaurant was clean and the service was fast. I would definitely recommend this place for large groups, birthdays, date night or for lunch. read more

Our first time here. We had hibachi. Our chef "Jackie Chan" was very entertaining. We however found the food bland. Everything could have benefited from more salt, pepper, soy, and butter. Also the eggs in the fried rice were way overcooked and completely brown. The service was meh too. We had to ask for water refills and salad/soup bowls to be cleared. Still searching for our go to hibachi restaurant..... read more

Brought my son here for his first hibachi experience and it was okay. The food was great but the service could've been better. From the seating to the length of time that it took to place our initial order. The hibachi chef was great and the fact that the food was good, would make me come again. They also have "kids eat free" on Thursdays, so that doesn't hurt either. Overall, worth the money that was spent. read more

Food was just ok - highlights were the really gigantic TV screen wall, the robot delivering food, and our server Mauricio - great service! SALT & PEPPER CALAMARI - $13.50 I think this restaurant is Chinese-owned ... so expected Chinese or Taiwanese salt & pepper squid based on the menu name ... but it was more like the fried calamari from a package ... that came w/ sweet & sour sauce :( VOLCANO YUMMY TEMPURA SHRIMP - $12.99 (5 pcs) The tempura part was nice & crunchy ... not much shrimp though, and it came with ... sweet & sour sauce :( HIBACHI LUNCH ANGUS STEAK - $14.99 Asked for medium well and it was more like well done ... meat had no flavor and no teriyaki sauce. My friend got the hibachi steak & chicken ... her chicken was drizzled w/ teriyaki sauce but not the steak. Fried rice was a disappointment too - and an extra $2.50 ... expected the smoky hibachi flavor but nope. FYI we did opt not to sit at the hibachi grill but still ... would've expected some sizzle. The mixed veggies were good. The lunch special comes with complimentary salad which was good, and a soup that was no miso but maybe a chicken broth w/ a subtle ginger flavor, plus two mushrooms and one random rotini, lol. Not bad. Kudos for doing a nice birthday treat for my friend - the robot came by with fun party music and our server did a great job leading the birthday song, and served a nice complimentary brownie dessert. Overall just ok - won't be hurrying back. read more

A family favorite! We have been coming here for a few years now and it's become a favorite. We love Jane and Fang's service. Everyone there is nice and friendly though. The chefs are all fun and have their own variations to the traditional hibachi tricks. The menu has remained the same, and I appreciate the reasonable kid's menu for those under 10yo. The food is always consistent. Sometimes there isn't anyone to make the bubble tea- but they tell you upfront. There's always someone celebrating a birthday there as it's great for celebrations. The parking lot is big. The bathrooms are clean. I really don't have any complaints! read more

GET THE PORK GYOZA They have super good boba teas as well! I've tired all of them but the passion fruit and they're all super refreshing and make a fantastic sweet treat I go for sushi but they also have hibachi! Where they cook it in front of you! Great service and yummy food! Chef Alex and Agustine were very attentive and funny, music is perfect volume not too loud

Hey y'all, happy Monday! Pulled up to Volcano Steak & Sushi in Duluth, GA, and let me tell you--the vibez here never miss! If you didn't know, Mondays = 50% off sushi rolls, so you already know I had to take advantage. My brother and I were both craving sushi, so this was the perfect spot. We started with appetizers: * Agadashi Tofu - Y'ALL. This tofu was fried to perfection--lightly crispy on the outside, soft and silky inside, and paired with a delicious tempura sauce (I think lol). Either way, 10/10!! * Shrimp & Veggie Tempura - Had a nice crisp, but I wish it was fried just a little longer. Still solid. 8.5/10. Now for the sushi! * Spicy Tuna Roll (added avocado) - Ehh, it was okay. The tuna was chopped nicely, but it lacked flavor and wasn't even spicy. 6/10. * Yami 2024 Roll - OMG, 10,000/10!!! This roll was everything. The seared smoked salmon + fried soft shell crab combo was straight-up magical. Smoky, savory, and that garlic sauce on top just tied it all together. If you go here, you HAVE to try it! * Scorpion King Roll (my brother's pick) - A good balance of shrimp and fried soft shell crab. Pretty tasty. 7/10. * Mango Tea w/ Lychee Boba - My brother said it was super sweet, so if you don't like drinks that are too sugary, ask them to tone it down. It's infused with jasmine tea, so it has a little floral taste too. On top of the good food, this place has clean bathrooms, a big parking lot, and even little robots that deliver your food & drinks (so cool!). Overall, 8/10--definitely a spot worth checking out! read more

We drove here for a birthday/graduation party. This place is like the sports bar of hibachi! HUGE area inside and a massive tv screen (which was tuned to Track & Field, awesome!). Our chef was amazing and quick witted, certainly said one of the funniest and most quick witted things I've heard from a hibachi chef. The meal was alright. My stomach was a bit upset after eating but typically seafood does that to me. However, the scallops I got were large and in charge! I also enjoyed their house saki. I would highly recommend this place for big groups and sports fans. read more

The food was good. We ordered a Volcano Paradise drink, and it was pretty much water. As soon as the waiter brought it out to us, we tried the drink. It was so watery omg! Went to the bar tender to see if they could accommodate the situation. It was a no go! I tried and tried. This was the worst part of our dinner. I drank mine because, it was pretty much like drinking water with my dinner. Who doesn't like a good drink with their dinner?! Other than that the food was okay, our cook was super cool! read more

First time coming to Volcano Steak & Sushi and had a lovely time. The drinks, Mango Tea and Mango Milk Tea, were lovely. We came here to eat on a Monday for the 50% off sushi plus I had a gift card so we needed a reason to use the gift card anyway. Realized upon arrival that you actually can't use the gift card on 50% off days, but we stayed anyways since we were already there. Wait time was long to be seated which I already expected- about 30 minutes. But once seated, it took probably about 45 minutes-1 hour for all of our food to come out. Our server told us this is pretty normal for a Monday. For 50% off, the wait MIGHT be worth it if you're just going for a social outing with friends anyways, but I can't say I'd be back on a Monday again since it's a long wait for eating out with a baby for me. The sushi was just okay. I'm not sure if quality is less on Mondays since it's half priced or that's the same as the rest of the week. But I couldn't justify spending full price on these rolls. They aren't bad by any means, and I did enjoy my meal. But again, because I only paid half price for it. I do need to come here again to spend my gift cards, but without the gift cards or the 50% off, I don't think this is a restaurant I'd come to otherwise. I do like that they have a large selection of rolls though. There was plenty I wanted to try. They also have robots which deliver your meal- although we were confused if we were allowed to just grab our dishes directly off the robots ourselves. It's the first time I've actually seen robots delivering food in use, and it didn't go directly to our table so we weren't entirely sure it was our order. We waited for a few minutes to see if a server would come by, and when nobody did, we decided to just take the plates from the robot. When we did, a server did arrive and rushed over to our table (which made us wonder if we weren't supposed to grab our plates ourselves). Anyways, based on how crowded the place was, I can see that Volcano is pretty popular, so I may have the unpopular opinion. If the 50% prices were the normal prices, I could see myself coming back. But not for the normal prices. read more

Go somewhere else where they value your business!! Do not go here...about 15 of us gathered for my mother's and aunt's birthdays. Made reservations, was there on time, was respectful and followed all their rules. There is a coupon on the website that says the birthday person is free with 5 meals. We had 3 separate checks of 5 each, they refused to honor the coupons. Not only did they not take one they took none. Next my aunt requested a drink and it was too sweet so she asked for it to be remade, they charged her for the drink she sent back and the new drink. Not huge things but enough for us to know they don't value or business. We didn't over $1000 there in n a dead night and they didn't honor their own coupons/policies and couldn't even make a 75 year old lady drink right and still charged her for it instead of fixing it. Go somewhere else where they value your business!! If they don't get it right rest assured you'll still be charged!! read more

Front desk is friendly, nice ambiance. But the food is not so great to me for my opinion. I had the chicken hibachi dinner take out and it wasn't what i expected. We are in the area for work and couldn't decide on where to go. We chose here. It was kind of empty in the parking lot but we went in...I am so glad we did. Our server luvy was so awesome. Very kind and sweet. I ordered the volcano steak dumplings fried....they were crispy and full of flavor. Also ordered takoyaki, absolutely fresh made and delicious. I ordered the spicy ramen...it was so delicious and full of flavor. The pork was so tender and the broth overall was smack in my face...spicy and delicious. I Came here the other day on a Wednesday for my daughters cousin birthday and it was nice , a cool hibachi spot to dine into an bring the kids . He was Turing 3 and we stopped here for dinner , we dined in at the hibachi table but , they also had regular seats . It was a Wednesday afternoon around 5:30 and about a good 15-20 people where there eating already so not to bad for a weekday din in dinner. The food was decent and they did the regular hibachi show , but I'm not to big on the hibachi cooking in front of you because by time the little show is finished the food is cold an most of the rice is gone because you already start to eat it before the meats , veggies , chicken or shrimps is ready so i give it a 7/10 for the food . My food was late so it was brought from the back the presentation was good and the proportion was even better. I was able to take some home { hibachi chicken and rice taste } 6/10 . Now when it comes down to the sever she was really nice and song happy birthday with the robot that also came out to sing which by the way is part of the ambience , robots bringing you your drinks, desserts and appetizers was pretty cool like i said it plays music and was sining happy birthday. They also had a very big tv it took over one side of the wall i don't remember what was showing but its there. Check down below for some cool photos . read more

First time here and it was pretty good. The fish steak chicken and shrimp were cooked very well. The vegetables were nice and fresh. The fried rice had a slight grill taste but nothing crazy. We also had steak fried dumplings they were good but the steak inside was like a meat ball but the sauce that came with it was great and they were fried well. It was clean inside and festive. I definitely would come back. Parking was good and we were sat quickly on a Friday night. Great place for a family dinner and party. So, I've visited Volcano Steak & Sushi for the 2021 Yelpies and really enjoyed my experience. While at the event, we were given $10 gift cards to come back on our return visit. It took some time, but was finally able to make it back this time with my wife. The Parking: Large, free parking lot. The Atmosphere: It's a nice vibe. You honestly feel like you're in Japan. I've never felt a true authentic vibe like this. They also have a massive TV screen as well, so watching the basketball game on there was a sight to see while we ate. The Service: Our waiter was so sweet and nice! I wish I remembered her name. The Food: For dinner, my wife and I ordered two Blue Moon's and shared a Sumo Volcano Special (NY Strip, Chicken, Shrimp) - $36.99 my wife had fried rice, whereas I had noodles. Veryyyy good. Overall, I had a great experience. I honestly feel like the food tasted better this time than it did during the Yelp event. I'll definitely be back! read more
