I called my insurance company, and they told me to have a water remediation company come out right away to start the dry out process to prevent any mold from forming, and recommended Servpro. I called our local Servpro branch, and they were courteous, professional and helpful from the very first phone call. They not only answered all of my questions, but they were able to get a crew out to my house in less than two hours to start drying it out. They assisted me with getting the asbestos testing performed (which is required in all homes built prior to 2004), performed all of the necessary demo, setup heaters and dehumidifiers as needed, and did all the cleanup when they were done. They also touched base with me regularly to let me know what was going on, and someone came out to my house every day during the dry out process to check on the progress. I felt well taken care of, and didn't feel like anything was left up to chance. Overall, I was VERY impressed with my experience with Servpro, and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for water remediation services. In addition, I would like to give a special thank you to Jamaica who was in charge of overseeing the entire job. First…read morecompany said I needed a new vapor barrier, a trench dug, sump pump installed along with some other suggestions. They even had a charge of $400 just to lay the plastic down from crawlspace to front door. (that's not just included?) 10k bid. Then the next guys came out and stated basically the same thing, but as the guy came out of the crawlspace, he exclaimed, "Wow, is it ever MUGGY down there...!" His bid was for the same french drain w/ pump but also wanted to do a baking soda sand blast treatment of sorts. He didn't show me any pics of the mold that he said he found. I've been in my crawlspace about a dozen times, and never saw any indication of mold or past standing water signs. He bid 14k! Then, I had Colton from Your Crawl Space Guys come out and take a look. He basically said that he didn't see any water lines on the foundation or any real other signs of standing water issues and that a french drain and pump wouldn't be necessary at all. Just needed to patch up some rodent entry points, replace the vapor barrier, and remove some rodent droppings and debris. 2k. He said they would throw a drain and pump estimate on there just so I had the numbers if I wanted to go that route. In the end, I had them add on some rodent disinfectant service and I wanted them to remove an old abandoned oven vent and patch the hole. I spoke with Rich at their office and we went through all of the work to be done in great detail, so that there were no false expectations or extra fees, etc. He was extremely helpful, fair priced and honest. I think removing a large section of vent duct work from an old oven and then patching the hole with concrete is easily worth $100 bucks. Very reasonable. Patrick came out with another guy on the day of the work and was very communicative and knowledgeable. He was able to confirm that the existing pipe in the crawlspace was in fact going to the low point drain and the drain was functional with a one-way valve that was working fine. He removed the abandoned oven vent duct work and patched the hole with a nice concrete and mesh patch. All of the rodent droppings and contaminated insulation was removed and a new vapor barrier installed. During the work, he pointed out that there were large gaps where rodents could come through by the furnace in the garage and the crawl space. They went and picked up some anti-rodent foam and sealed all of those gaps with no additional charge. My crawlspace is a 100% beautiful now. I would definitely recommend these guys to any family, friends or strangers. They are reasonably prices, fair, and best of all, HONEST. Don't bother looking anywhere else. Then explanations changed?…read more We asked Your Crawlspace Guys to come back out after they worked on a wall, but it was still showing movement- we were told that they didn't know the problem was to the extent that it was(1 inch cracks appearing throughout as time went on in the summer) didn't know so much shifting would occur, and didn't have the tools needed to truly fix the problem, but that it would be a reoccurring issue due to the groundwater levels and yearly settling. Other back and forth continued for some time, and once a dissatisfactory review was posted online, their explanation changed. It changed to they knew the issues at hand, but they weren't hired for THAT, so they didn't fix it. Instead of acknowledging my complaints individually, the owner places blame on me and apologised for ME "being unrealistic" - AFTER THEIR OWN WORK INVOICE SAID IT WOULD DO SOMETHING THAT IT DIDN'T. They also claims they did the work for the sellers, and not even me and my partner....as the estimates, and invoices have my name listed on it, as well as my partners(name highlighted in green on attached photo). If they really didn't do the work for us, I would have expected him to hit back with "I couldn't find you in the system" like they have on other negative reviews. I also would have expected them to decline to even come back out to our house, if that was the case. The owner also claimed the company replaced a vapor barrier for me at some point, maybe they meant at closing?? but their response made it seem like they did it as some sort of courtesy sometime after the intial work was done. They either failed to communicate yet another thing, or they made up info to try to make a negative google review look better. We might never‍ know lol. They have so many positive reviews that our experience truly has us scratching our heads as to why our experience has sucked. If my partner worked on someone's car, but the same car came was back within 6 months, with even more issues, and all he had to say "sorry your car is failing, but I didn't know it was going to get to THIS extent, and I don't even have tools for this", he would still be held responsible in his position. It's been nothing but a headache for the last year, I can't go into my garage without feeling frustration and wishing we had gotten bids elsewhere instead of taking the route we did. I recommend going elsewhere for foundation specific issues(they do fine with crawl space work), especially if you're getting work done before closing/using escrow. That, or make sure to physically be present during all conversations and scheduling regarding what's needed so that questions can be asked and stories, blame and explanations can't be shifted later.

I can't even count how many times I had to clean nails out of the street and garden, as well as oil stains from the driveway and street, after they left. One of the workers was pulled into the gutter machine right in front of my eyes. Thankfully, another worker managed to shut the machine off in time. The workers from this company are vulgar and aggressive. They reacted aggressively when I asked them not to damage my property, because they destroyed many things during the project. I was only able to learn the truth from the security cameras because they lied to me when I asked what had happened. The owner of the company did not respond to the aggressive behavior of the workers, even though we informed him about it many times. The company owner should ensure that workers have access to proper restroom facilities. At the beginning of the project, there were none, and one of the workers relieved himself in my yard--in plain view of me!
