I called his business number to get a bid for installation of a new interior door and never received a response after waiting several days. Based on the good reviews, I went ahead and filled out a request on his website. it took a few days, but Cassie called me back to schedule an appointment for Todd to take measurements, which he did. He then sent a bid for $828 to install a door and paint it, which I thought was excessive. The bid included labor and materials. They then asked if they could reschedule the painting of the door to the day after the door was to be installed. I replied that's fine as long as the price remains the same as in his original bid. He responded by telling me the door would be painted by a subcontractor and the price jumped up appreciably from the original price set forth in his bid, which was to me, already excessive. I canceled the project based on his unilateral modification of the terms of the contract. Poor communication skills. Overpriced. Avoid. read more

Sanding and painting for several spots left from an earlier shade installation were completed. Filling driveway cracks was completed in dry concrete.. They had cleaned the driveway several weeks earlier. These were the end of two larger task lists started in the past 30 days. Some smaller taks were added as work proceeded. All were completed as needed. The crews are very congenial, friendly and efficient. They have strong leadership and delegate freely. I was lucky to get into a cancellation spot the next day and I'm very happy with the quality and speed of work. I had a door handle changed in a high traffic commerical bathroom. It's only been a few days, so the longevity of the door handle is yet to be determined but the handyman went to the store and bought a replacement and didn't upcharge me at all above what it cost him, or if he did, it was very little. He switched it out quickly and efficiently and it works just fine now. Overall i would definitely recommend and use this company again. They'll be the first ones I call for handyman stuff. read more

We have had a small issue with our front door settling and no longer being in alignment. I first reached out via Yelp and got a quick response within an hour. After communicating a few times via email I had an appointment all setup for the following week. Todd showed up promptly at his scheduled time, took a look at our door and went right to work. Within 20 minutes he was all done and the door was back in alignment. He noticed our door handle was coming loose and went ahead and fix that too. I had asked for the bottom door seal to be replaced as well, but after he got the door aligned he took a look at it and showed me that the existing seal was actually doing it's job and didn't need to be replaced. He then walked me through the work he just finished up and showed me what to do in the event the door needed to be aligned again so that I could do it on my own in the future. Really appreciate him coming out and getting this taken care of for us so quickly. Todd has done a number of projects for us on our new "unique and surprising" home over the last 2-3 weeks. I use these adjectives because we just moved in and we are finding more and more things that were done incorrectly or not maintained by the previous owners. Todd has been a great help to us and we will continue to use him for all our home improvement needs going forward. He is prompt, knowledgeable, charges a fair rate and is a good communicator. Todd was willing to take on a random list of items that we had and knocked them out systematically with a keen attention to detail, collaborative communication and problem solving style and authentic investment in his work. He has changed & installed light fixtures, replaced kitchen faucet, fixed multiple kitchen cabinet drawers that were literally falling apart, remodeled a large cabinet section to fit a new double wall oven, (his cabinet work is excellent), rehung/repaired doors, worked on broken window springs, repaired recessed lighting, updated master walk-in closet... and he's scheduled to come back for more over the next 2 weeks. The other thing that is important to note is that it's clear Todd enjoys this work and takes a lot of pride in doing things the right way. He is a personable guy who is easy to talk with and sincerely wants to solve your problems. He isn't a lifelong contractor, builder or fix-and-flipper, but rather someone who made a decision to change careers and has become great at what he does.
