We had TGR design and install this pergola, and the experience was excellent from start to finish…read more Martin took the time to understand how we wanted to use the space and designed something that fit both the layout of the yard and the style of the house. This wasn't a pre-fab or generic solution, it feels custom and well thought out. The installation was clean and professional. Posts are perfectly set, the structure is solid, and the attention to detail really shows. Everything feels sturdy, intentional, and built to last. This pergola completely transformed our outdoor space and turned an unused area into a functional and inviting gathering spot. Communication was easy throughout the project, and it's clear Martin takes pride in his work. Highly recommend TGR and would absolutely use them again for future projects.

This is a mixed review since there is good and bad to mention. I contracted with this company to…read morereplace my siding and double decks. This wasn't the lowest priced bid, yet it also wasn't the outrageously high quotes I received from other companies. I was very excited to finally get this work done. At the same time I was working with TGR, I was also contracted with a roofing company, a painter, and a gate company. In the end, the only company I had problems with was TGR Construction Co. There are things I wasn't prepared for in this process, such as my pictures falling off the walls during the siding tear off or the cracks in the ceiling and walls created with the tear off, of which they tried to tell me all these NEW cracks (I live in this home) are due to normal settling of my home and said all houses settle with time and this is normal and not due to the siding job. I know it's not a coincidence these new and sudden 'settling' cracks appeared with the siding work. They broke through the ceiling upstairs and they did own up to this, maybe because it's hard to justify 'normal' settling with sudden stucco all over the floor. There were structural issues that arose during the project, at nobody's fault, that ended up costing me $11K more than my contract. Then I was also charged $4900 more to remove windows and have them reset. Btw, three other companies included the window removal and reset in their contract. It was considered standard for other companies. After the siding and decks were done, I was left with HVAC refrigerant lines on the ground and blocking doors and windows for my tenants, wires dangling under the deck staircase, the Radon remediation system wasn't reattached correctly and sparked scaring a HVAC technician and me, a deck rail was reset too low, refrigerant line covers were accidentally thrown out, and my daughter and I each did double sweeps for nails left behind when work was done. It took almost two months of asking for them to resolve these unresolved issues before some things were finally done. Jan 20th, three months after the crew left, I finally had the last unresolved issue handled. As a consumer, when I contract with a company, I expect to have the job done right without unnecessary stress. That did not happen here. On the POSITIVE, the crew is hardworking and really nice guys. The siding and double decks look great now. My home underwent a metamorphosis and is now beautiful and I receive compliments. I had crappy, rotting decks replaced with sturdy decks. This is the only reason I give a 2 rating instead of lower. All the mishaps, repair delays, and stood up appointments made this extremely frustrating and stressful. Could I have achieved my desired results without the frustration? I'm sure I could have with a different company. Buyer beware! Educate yourself on all steps that need to be in your contract. Make sure the removal of your windows for proper flashing is in the contract. I know A LOT of people and all my other contractors received more jobs through my recommendations. I know currently four people who are looking for a recommendation for siding, yet I can't recommend TGR Construction.

Michael was responsive and communicative, quickly notifying us of changes. He got the job done with high-quality standards and within a reasonable timeframe, despite delays and set backs. For example, in late Feb 2025 there was a significant snow/ice storm that delayed the project by 2 days. Michael showed up on the weekends to continue the job to try and make up time. He was consistent, reliable, and transparent. Another example: Our master bath floor was not level enough for the tile, and Michael was clear and open about what had to be done to get the job finished to a top-quality standard. It added a couple days to the timeframe (and some cost), but the final result was well worth it. Last example: The half bath toilet flange had several errors from the original build and contractor work, and the toilet we bought had a manufacturing defect (leak) we found after installing the toilet. Despite these obstacles and added time, Michael brought the flange to code, uninstalled the defective toilet, and installed the defect-free replacement. There were several curveballs with our job and Michael handled them professionally and courteously, making sure we were involved with every change decision along the way. We are thinking about hiring him for our second (guest) bath remodel, and wish him all the success a small business owner can have!

We were so impressed with their work that we're already in the process of getting new estimates from them for our upcoming projects!

He added a chunk and a big block of wood on the outside to Jerry rig it together. There is a big gap in the fence now. The whole thing looks horrible. I would have rather had it back broken. To make matters worse, he dumped the old post with old concrete and metal parts in my neighbors yard debris bin. That is so rude and is NOT yard debris. Based on other reviews this guy doesn't know how to measure and I would not recommend him. I would complain and ask him to come fix it but I don't even want him to do that.

Removal was good, but all five posts were installed incorrectly: one was twisted and not aligned to our backyard, four were incorrectly spaced despite request for 8' apart. They are all 1" - 4" off, so we can't get our prebuilt panels in. Chad offered to fix the issue when we complained directly, but failed to show on the scheduled date (he didn't reach out, we had to, and got a "sorry, can we reschedule"). He failed to show on the rescheduled date and again asked for a reschedule. We are clearly not a priority and we cannot wait anymore and now have to fix it ourselves. Really disappointing, especially since we had a lower estimate with a different company but chose this company with the hope they could be retained on some other home projects in the future.

They spent two hours here. We were charged $700 plus $22 for extra "parts fees" for additional equipment needed. Everything required for the installation were in the box. How absurd. I asked for 2 to 3 inches above the first mantle where the edge of TV will land. They started on the second TV installed before they even asked me to see how the first one looked. If even to ask after the first rack was installed in the wall to say "your TV edge will land right here." I checked out the first one... way too far above the mantle. I stated they need to drill that first rack at 2-3 inches lower, they stated to me "it'll cost you extra." I said fine. So we agreed a second time the television needs to be just 2 to 3 inches above the mantle. Again, second TV, 5 inches above the mantle....The first TV was completely loose and I advised them the adjustment needs to tighten up, it's all loosy goosey. One of them told me you could not tighten it. I asked them, is that what it says in the user manual? No reply. They went back and said they "found how to tighten it." The installer said "each one of these racks is different so they're really hard to work with." Really? Well the receptionist on the phone who misquoted the actual job amount said that their installers do TVs "all day every day." Our Handyman and I aregoing to lower the second TV a couple inches without their help, I just wanted them out of my home. Our personal handyman contacted them and was able to bring the $700 bill back down to $400 as was quoted over the phone. And one more thing, one of them had not showered that morning. Old sweat is disgusting! These folks have a lot of nice signage on their vans of Mr.Handyman in the neighborhoods, but they have untrained individuals in the office and in the field. Buyer beware!
