**Avoid this company if you don't like headaches.** The actual restoration work was good, but the billing experience was extremely frustrating. My four main complaints: **1. Poorly detailed invoice:** The first invoice had only two vague charges: "Water Mitigation Per Xactimate Summary" and "Agreed upon discounts with insurance and/or customer." No breakdown, no explanation of how the amount was calculated. I had to request a detailed invoice to understand what I was actually being charged for. **2. "Emergency Service Call" charge:** I never requested emergency service. The water leak was not extreme, my house was still livable, and there was no immediate danger. They chose to respond quickly, which I appreciated, but I don't think customers should be charged an additional emergency fee for something they never requested. **3. "Temporary Electric Setup" charge:** They hired a third-party company to install a temporary electrical distribution box, but the company repeatedly rescheduled until the affected areas were already dry and the service was no longer needed. Robinson then tried to charge me a cancellation fee. They only removed the charge after I questioned it. If no work was performed at my house, why should I pay a cancellation fee between Robinson and their contractor? Their justification compared it to an ambulance being dispatched and canceled. Seriously? An emergency ambulance service is not comparable to a scheduled installation that was repeatedly rescheduled. **4. Payment deadline suddenly changed:** The first two revised invoices had a due date of **10/03/2026**. The latest one suddenly says **09/08/2026**, along with a warning about late fees. This was especially frustrating after I had been disputing charges. I have no problem paying for legitimate services, but the charges need to be **fair, transparent, and properly documented**. Black Hills Inc., who recommended Robinson Restoration to me, provides invoices that are **1,000 times clearer**. Yesterday, I experienced extraordinary customer service from Robinson Restoration regarding a catastrophic water situation involving a new refrigerator causing mold and other hazardous bacteria in my home with a recommendation from Wolfer's Home Services. Nate Robinson promptly arrived using an electrical gauge showing me a high number of water, mold in the kitchen cabinet and elsewhere in the crawl space. Within the hour, his first-rate team of Blake and Carter arrived with the appropriate equipment and immediately started removing hazardous items while protecting the interior of my home! They put a transparent covering on my white carpeted stairs so I would not endure an accident. They cleaned every inch of debris before departing my home. I was overwhelmed they responded to my urgent request with blinding speed to protect my health. They are well-trained demonstrating tremendous efficiency and skill in their profession. Robinson Restoration and their all-star team--Eddie, Jamaica, Jeremiah, Ken, and Jason--were absolutely amazing! I have to give a special shoutout to Eddie, though, because he was truly the MVP of the entire process. We had a dishwasher malfunction and it damaged our kitchen and in our crawl space. Robinson came out and did a outstanding job getting everything cleaned up and ready to re-do the kitchen. They had to tear up 85-90% of the kitchen and remove all of the Debris. John and the rest of the crew were friendly, professional, and helpful. They answered any and all questions. They did a through clean up job when they were finished. We have a 12 year old dog that is blind and they even worked around him, and treated him like he was their dog. We kept him out of the way but he would still manage (outside) to get petted from them through out the time they were here. We would give them a 10 plus on a review more if possible. I must add that just 2weeks before this I had bee in the hospital with ammonia and congestive hear failure, and had just been home approx.; a week .
