We bought a house but the crawlspace was all sorts of messy. We needed a whole new vapor barrier, insulation on all our pipes, one of the ducts was crushed, rodent poop everywhere... New Leaf completed a thorough inspection (they were actually sent by the seller), provided a fair bid, and were gracious enough to offer a payment plan. When they came to do the work over the course of three days, they were hard working and cleaned up after themselves. One of my favorite things, though, was overhearing someone telling the group these encouraging things like "diamonds are made from pressure!" Just thought that a company that supported their people was a company everyone should support. Our HVAC contractor was also super impressed with them! Would 1000% hire again. They were able to come out the very next week and made quick work of the crawlspace insulation. They were even able to get areas I didn't know existed. I hired New Leaf to clean up my partial basement crawl space after I heard squeaking in there (!) Nathan came out to assess the space and was VERY thorough and his bid was well itemized (unlike some other bids) and the price was in the middle of the other two. The team created a plastic tunnel through the house to protect the space from contamination while the old materials being hauled out. They then replaced the vapor barrier and the insulation in the space. New Leaf offers to come back for a 30 day check and Joe came out and looked things over, offered a lot of good advice, and double checked my vents for integrity, adding some screws for reinforcement. We had alive and dead squirrels (and, ahem, a rat skeleton) in our crawl space, along with at least 20-year-old vapor barrier...New Leaf Did Everything Right, from communication to pricing and by far the most precision in the estimate, to care and respect for our home, to not choking upon finding dead animals (I know, they're used to it, but it made me squirm!), to laying down new vapor barrier professionally and quickly, getting the ... odors... eliminated effectively, and having a month-later checkup as well. I wish every company were like New Leaf! You'd think it wouldn't be hard, just to be decent, on-the-level professionals and human beings, but it's just not the case. I found New Leaf on Yelp after we learned that my home's crawl space needed some serious work to get restore insulation, clean up debris left by the previous homeowner, and remediate pest activity/evidence. New Leaf responded to my initial inquiry promptly and sent Shaun out for my estimate. Dispatch left me a message to confirm arrival. Shaun arrived on time and walked me through aspects of the job, and made suggestions to resolve some ancillary concerns we had about pest entry on the property. New Leaf delivered a clear, easy to read estimate via email. I selected New Leaf and we scheduled our appointment. Again, New Leaf called ahead and confirmed our scheduled appointments (Thank you, this goes a long way!). Shaun came out to do some initial pest control work, and then on a second visit came back with a two-person crew. The team laid plastic down in my home so as to not make a mess during the cleanup, and wore PPE for the job. I'm glad the company believes in following precautions for homeowner and employees alike. New Leaf removed all debris, laid a moisture barrier, replaced ventilation piping, replaced insulation, and tidied up items that were hanging too low from the floor above. The situation looks MUCH better. After several hours, the job was complete. I inspected the crawlspace with Shaun, and he did a thorough walkthrough/walkaround of the job site. He was very patience with my many questions, which I appreciate. New Leaf is scheduled to come out in a couple weeks for a follow up appointment/check on the results. We had New Leaf out for a quote on some work for our crawl space. They came out, did a full inspection of the areas that they were able to access. The next day, I received a quote that had a lot of things on it but we were told we can pick and choose what we wanted done. The guy that came for the quote was super friendly and thorough. We decided to have the vapor barrier replaced, which was what our main concern was. Their quote was reasonable and they were able to schedule the next week for us. The guys that came out to do the work were friendly and even went above and beyond and went on my roof for no charge to seal off an entry point for critters to our attic. I stuck my head down in the crawl space after to take a look, and it looked pretty decent. My only complaint was that their cleanup job wasn't the best. They left tape up on the walls that their plastic was hung up with and we had pieces of insulation that were left out of our front porch. read more

Arrived on time for each appointment. Thorough and competitive bid. Better warranty than others. Workers were efficient and worked hard to protect living areas. In the end, the crawl space work that they did I'd doing the job. My only concern was that I told the crew chief to be careful of two electronic items in the crawl space and those two items were still troublesome after they left. Because our crawlspace gets so hot in the summer, we assumed that we needed additional insulation, so we asked New Leaf for an inspection. Cameron came out, arrived on time and after some personable chatting, checked out our crawlspaces and attic. He determined that we were, in fact, appropriately insulated. Of course learning that we would be spared the expense of the job was great. But New Leaf's handling of our appointment and Cameron's professionalism made us feel like, had we been able to hire them, we would have been getting good, honest service. I had what I thought was a sump pump plugged/backed up and the New Leaf Tech came out, and gave me a quick lesson on what I had going on (not a sump pump problem) and showed me how to clear it. The best!!! I cant say enough good things. We have a new home and the area drainage is not ideal. We realized we had standing water in the crawlspace that was not going away and the builder was not great about wanting to fix it. New Leaf evaluated the issue and proposed a solution. I love that they gave me a basic fix at the best cost with the later option to enhance the solution with french drains etc if needed. No pressure sales and very professional advice. Matt came out to replace our dryer vent duct work. During his last visit to install our crawl space liner, we mentioned that our dryer wasn't drying our clothing completely. Matt told us that it may be a clog in the duct work that was causing the problem, even though we had the line cleaned before we moved in. Sure enough, when he came to remove the old duct work, he found a ginormous, gunky clog. That alone could cause condensation and water back up, improper venting back into our home, or even a fire. His suggestion saved us future problems and for that we think New Leaf is even more awesome. We'll be asking them back to check our attic space and duct work from our range hood. We had terrible racoon damage and Matt was wonderful and sympathetic since our insurance (USAA) didn't cover the damage. They follow up and make sure you are taken care of and happy. I had New Leaf install a sump pump three or four years ago, it recently during these heavy rains developed a problem. Because there was no one else available the owner of New Leaf came out and fixed my problem. He was under the house in 6 inches of water for at least an hour. When it when he was all finished and the problem was solved I got out my checkbook and he said no charge. Then he told me he was the owner and because none of the other guys wanted to deal with working in 6 inches of water he came. I was so impressed and I am still marveling at his commitment and kindness to an old lady with a sump pump problem. I can heartily recommend this company. read more

I would highly recommend New Leaf. The workers were professional and did a great job protecting my house while they pulled the old plastic/rodent droppings/garbage from under my crawl space. They also installed insulation under the floors and repaired my ductwork that was leaking. They repaired and replaced the screens to my crawl space that were allowing critters to get in and included a 4-month pest control afterwards to make sure they've taken care of the pest problem (rats.)They wrapped my pipes as well. I went under to inspect after they were completed and I noticed a 5' section of pipe that they overlooked. I called, expecting to be strung along since I had already paid. They called back and immediately scheduled someone to come out and finish the work. And the supervisor called afterwards and asked if everything was done to my satisfaction. I would give 10 stars to New Leaf if I could. We discovered that we had some unwanted visitors in our crawlspace so I called for a free crawlspace inspection. Cameron, who is wonderful and extremely knowledgeable, came and inspected our crawlspace. He did confirm that we had rat feces in the crawlspace and took a photo to show us and also found some points of entry that they were probably getting in from. They had also chewed on the insulation. Because 40% of the air you breathe in your house comes from your crawlspace this was not a healthy situation for us. We got an estimate for what it would cost to do a total crawlspace restoration. Cameron and his team came out on a Saturday and totally cleaned and disinfected the crawlspace, replaced the chewed insulation, placed concrete over the points of entry they were probably getting in from, replaced the whole vapor barrier and even replaced some of our vent screens so nothing could get in. A couple of our vent screens had been cut into because when we had our Koi pond put in they had to run the conduit through the vent. Cameron cut out screen covers for the vents that went around the conduit so now our vents are totally secure. Cameron also put out some rat traps in the yard a few weeks before they came to do the work. Luckily when he checked them the bait had not been taken so no rat activity. Hopefully they are gone for good. Cameron will be out in 4 weeks to reinspect the crawlspace and also check the traps again. I cannot say enough positive things about this wonderful company.
