We just finished having our house painted by Two States Roofing. They did an excellent job. Lucas the owner is such a very nice man. We meet him 3 years ago when helped us when our roof was leaking. He had his team quickly patch it and then we ended up getting a new roof. I am thoughly satisfied with both jobs. His attention to detail is amazing. I am having him do my garage roof next week. Believe me you will not be disapointed. Excellent work at a great price! read more

We had 3 roofs replaced on some of our rental properties and had pretty good experiences. I live out of state, so I hired a 3rd Party to do roofing inspections to make sure everything was completed satisfactorily. The inspector found several items that needed to be fixed, and Lucas agreed, commented about how good of an inspection it was, and promptly fixed the issues. We were satisfied. Now several months later I asked for an estimate on having gutters replaced. I provided the tenants information and we scheduled the estimate. Lucas never showed up, never called, and now I've called and text him 8+ times without a call back. The best I've gotten is a text saying "I'll call you back" Completely disappointed in his lack of communication and customer service. read more

Superb, careful, and timely replacement of my roof and two skylights by Edgar Soto and his team, for a competitive and reasonable price.

Definitely 5 star service and quality. Azael and the team excel at every aspect of the roof replacement process - quoting, roofing knowledge, competitiveness, product quality, quality of workmanship, fixing existing problems, warranty, and final clean-up. They replaced my roof, and I enjoyed the process so much I used them a month later to replace my son's roof as well. I have worked with a lot of contractors, and Two States provided the best service and workmanship ever. read more

We're so glad we went with this company! Lucas, the owner, came back twice to discuss the project with us and answer all our questions, which we really appreciated. Of the three places we got quotes from, his was the most competitive, and the quality of work was excellent. He even helped us get new gutters installed and replaced rotting fascia outside the house, all at a fair price. Communication was great, the crew cleaned up nicely, and the overall job left us very satisfied. read more

Communication is poor and not able to commit to the job. Not timely in response and unable to fix the problem at hand. read more

It is my pleasure to review Two States Roofing. This review is for you if you: have a roof leak, have a skylight, have a bungalow, and/or have a garden that you're worried about protecting during a re-roofing job. Earlier this year, we experienced a roof leak in our upstairs bathroom, and we were unsure if the leak was coming from the dormer's roof, or the skylight. We booked 3 bids to take a look. We learned during the process that we actually needed a new roof. Two States Roofing was actually the highest bid, but we chose them, and we're glad we did! We chose Two States Roofing because Lucas's estimate (and the contract itself) were so thorough. Lucas was the only estimator to go out into our mini attics, and he mentioned several issues that the other 2 estimators didn't catch (we knew about these issues, but hadn't told Lucas yet). We also liked that Lucas was able to send a crew out to tarp the leak ASAP; they did a fantastic job (the tarp survived the 2025 snowstorm)! OTHER THINGS WE LIKED ABOUT TWO STATES: --Lucas was able to accommodate two changes (a change in shingle color, and expanding the scope of the project to include the garage). --The company did an amazing job protecting my garden, including building a tent-like platform to cover raised beds and shrubs. --The crew was incredibly hardworking and friendly, and the site was virtually immaculate when they were done. --The roof (including a new skylight, and a torch-down porch roof) look amazing. I'm thrilled with Two States Roofing, and have already recommended them to several neighbors. read more

I've had them replace the roof on two houses so far and they have done a great job both times. The corrected any issues found quickly and even came out after I had solar panels installed to check the roofing for me. I would use them again. read more

Great experience all through the project! From meeting with Lucas during the inspection and estimate to the amazing crew who did the tear off and install. All were courteous, professional, and friendly, highly recommend Two States Roofing !! Thanks guys read more

Edgar Soto and his crew did a fantastic job replacing our roof. Completed as quoted. No ups, no extras. Knocked it out in one day. Perfect clean up. Not one scrap left on the ground. If you need a roof done, you can't go wrong with Two States. read more

Two States Roofing did excellent work replacing the roof on our house. The price was lower than the two other bids we received--even with upgraded shingles. Unlike their competitors, Two States didn't try to talk us into replacing our existing skylights, and they were able to reinstall them for us. The crew did a great job of cleaning up the site, and we couldn't be happier with the results. Thank you, Lucas and team! read more

Two States did a great job replacing our roof and skylight. Only took them two days which was impressive considering we had two layers of shingles that needed removal. Asael, our point of contact, was great, he was very professional, knowledgeable, and personable. Of the three bids we got, theirs was the best, we were happy with the negotiated price. The quality of their work is high as attested to by the photos. There were two minor issues that arose relating to minor ceiling drywall damage and skylight flashing and with both they immediately took responsibility and corrected both problems jiffy quick. Being a small company with two crews, I feel they are in a good position to pay close attention to the details without being stretched too thin across too many active projects. read more

We had Two States Roofing do a reroof a few years ago with very good service, so called Lucas up to ask about installing a solar attic vent. He quickly provided me with info on what he would install and price (which I felt was very reasonable considering what I had researched on cost beforehand). His crew installed the vent within a week of go-ahead, and I'm very pleased with the work. I would definitely recommend Two States for new roof, attic vent or other roof type work. read more

After getting multiple quotes from different companies I chose Lucas and Two States Roofing because of his professionalism, responsiveness and experience. He showed up on time and was personable and brought brochures so I could take my time researching the materials and warranties. It wasn't the cheapest quote but I'm confident that it was the best quality roof for the price. I was also impressed with his team and the fantastic job they did of cleaning up afterwards! There was a small issue a few weeks later and he sent someone the same day to fix it. I highly recommended Two States! read more

Two States Roofing - Two States Roofing putting a new roof system on my house - Roofing Near Me - Portland, Oregon

After soliciting a handful of bids, I contracted Two States to replace the roof on my house. We own a classic Portland 1914 craftsman, so it's old and special with the various bump-outs and corbels, and had a very slight sag in one corner. Two States was fast, efficient, and did a great looking job. Their bid was much better than competitors, and the roof is beautiful. In addition to the new shingles, they replaced several sections of plywood under the shingles and re-flashed the chimney. They did miss a couple things on cleanup, but were very fast to come back out and address them as soon as I contacted them. I waited a few months before posting this review to get a few heavy rains on the roof to see how it fared. So far so good. Everything looks great. read more

On time, excellent work, great materials, and no high pressure sales. You pay for a complete job after reviewing it. We are so happy with this company. Thank you read more

Lucas and the team did a fantastic job on a full re-roofing process. He was very prompt and provided all the right details needed for me to pick the right product. The team did a great job and were SO fast. He came back out to do the final walk-through and quickly spotted a few quick fixes to get everything done 100%. I highly recommend Two States Roofing for quality, service and price. read more

Honestly, I don't even know where to begin so I'll start first by saying this company is awesome! Lucas, the owner, came out to give us an estimate. Not only did he crawl into 3 of our attic crawl spaces but he spent time (it was a 93 degree day) taking pictures and then thoroughly explaining the pictures to us. He was willing to take a ride in our golf cart so that I could use roofs in the neighborhood to ask questions about how ours was going to look. He was always, I mean always, available to take my calls and patiently answer any of our questions. His crew was respectful, tidy & approachable with any questions we had. Lucas came out several times while our roof was being replaced to check on the project & answer any additional questions we might have. When the roof was completed we were thrilled by how it looked and very happy with the price that we paid for it. I've worked with too many contractors to count for our own property as well as rentals and I'd say Lucas was by far one of the best, if not the best, we've ever worked with. I would highly recommend Two States Roofing to anyone, anytime. Thank you Lucas!!! read more

Lucas at Two States Roofing delivered on everything promised. He was very open to good communication through the entire process. Even after his crew dropped the ball on a couple of small things when they were done, I gave Lucas a call and explained the situation. He very quickly offered to come out and fix the minor things himself, and in the end met every expectation. Two States Roofing is by far the best choice you can make for your roofing needs. Lucas was very straightforward, knowledgeable, and gave us ample warning regarding any possible increases in price (we had some rotted out plywood, and he quoted us for one amount, but told us it could be more or could be less based on if they find more issues). Lucas also was very conscientious of COVID-19 protocol. He wore a mask in all of our face to face interactions. Both my wife and I are very pleased with Lucas, and would recommend him to anyone looking for a roofer. read more

Two States Roofing - Finished roof by Two States Roofing - Roofing Near Me - Portland, Oregon

Two States is a local, family-owned, multigenerational roofing business, and a 5 star rating for this company isn't high enough. It just doesn't capture how amazing a group of people Lucas and his team are, and how much pride and care they take in their work and in their customers. Lucas went above and beyond for me over and over and over again in dealing with a miserable tear-off of not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4 layers of roofing (2 layers of cedar shake and 2 layers of asphalt shingles) on a very steeply-pitched 3-story house in NE Portland. He and his crew didn't just go the extra mile for me, they went an extra marathon including dealing with unwieldy skylights (one of which was ordered too small for its framing), cutting back rotten rafter tails, flashing bump-out windows, reinforcing roof edges and re-sheeting and re-shingling my house, shed and rear porch overhang. Hiring Two States was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I would recommend them without any hesitation whatsoever. read more

I had a great experience with Two States Roofing, especially after comparing several companies. The first company I talked with was thorough but VERY expensive, but meticulously covered aspects like venting, ice and water shield, flashing, etc. Another company offered a much lower price, like around 1/3 the cost, but was unclear about their methods, and went so far as to say venting is that big of a deal... Enter Lucas from Two States Roofing. He stood out with his professionalism and affordability, while offering everything the expensive company did but at around 1/2 to 2/3 the price. His team was efficient, transparent, and meticulous. They provided a 15-year workmanship warranty + the shingles themselves have a 50-year warranty. I highly recommend Two States Roofing for their exceptional service and value. read more

Fast, Friendly, affordable, and with integrity! We had a tree branch punch a 4" hole in our roof in the middle of the night, in a rain storm. After spending the morning trying to get a hold of several other roofing companies, I called Two States, and Lucas answered right away, from a roof top. His office called me back 20 mins later and scheduled him to come give an estimate, first thing the next morning. Lucas showed up exactly on time and was very friendly, as well as super knowledgeable and thorough. I also asked him to replace two attic mushroom vents that had minor leaks since they were here. We couldn't believe it, but he scheduled his guy to come out at 10:30 that same day and we were shocked at how affordable the estimate was. $330 for the entire job. The whole thing only took one and a half hours. Once they left, I realized that they replaced the wrong vent. I called Lucas, and his guys came back half and hour later and had the other vent replaced in only 20 mins. At no extra charge! How a company fixes their mistakes really says a lot about them. No one could ask for better service. We ended up getting 3 new vents for the price of 2. We will need a new roof soon, so while Lucas was here, I also asked him to quote a whole new roof. In Asphalt and also in Metal, so we could compare. His estimate was very thorough and clear. He gave us 2 different qualities of asphalt and 2 gauges of metal to consider. He also added line items for replacing some rotten facia boards and for new gutters. Steel or aluminum. He explained the process and materials and left us with a packet of information to look over and help us make our decisions. It is clear that he has a lot of experience and knows what he is talking about. Of course we will also get other quotes for due diligence, but would feel very comfortable with them doing our new roof based on our interaction and the repair job experience. Highly recommend! read more

Requested a 2nd Layer quote on 1893 Portland, OR home. Lucas came in 3 days to inspect and prepare a quote, sent 2 days later. Quote was extremely competitive to others, by more than 30%. Contracted for work to begin in 4 weeks, their schedule allowed start date 3 weeks later. They nearly completed the whole job in one day, finishing in under two hours on day two - completely clean finish. Excellent workmanship, a contractor at his word and more. As a Realtor, I now refer him to all my customers too. I found him here, at Yelp. Read the reviews like you. They are everything said here. read more

Our roof had several active leaks so we knew the roof and the wood planks would all have to be. We requested estimates from quite a few companies. We got quotes from $9000 to $16,000. Asael with Two States was the most reliable and professional of the bunch. He kept in touch as we secured financing. We knew it would take awhile to fix the roof because it's Fall in Oregon and we would be at the mercy of Mother Nature. Meanwhile the leaks we're getting worse. There was a break in the weather and Asael called one morning and said " we're on our way." They were here within the hour and by lunchtime the old roof was gone. The rain started again and they stayed, worked through it and was done that evening. They were in the middle as far as pricing and I like the color choices for the shingles, how prompt they were and just nice and friendly company. The next day they came by to clean up and replace a few pieces of wood and install the new gutters. Hands down very professional company. He always got back to us, always answered our questions within a few hours. The contract was easy to understand and very thorough. read more

We had Two States Roofing replace our roofing and gutters July of 2022. They were a little less on the roofing and quite a bit less expensive on the gutters. They were very responsive with any questions and concerns. When the rains came a few months later, we had a concern and Lucas came right out and helped determine it was condensation on vent ceiling in attic, not caused by any roofing work they had done. He even did a repair while he was in the attic. They are thorough and never made us feel as if we were pests asking questions. Their warranty was also one of the best. Very happy at this time! read more

Lucas and his crew are experts! I bought a house that saw a lot of DIY projects that didn't quite make the cut. I will definitely do business with him again when the siding gets some attention. read more

Lucas and his crew made the whole experience with my neighbor and myself a breeze. He took care roof plus fixes, loose boards and made quick work of the entire process. 2700sqft duplex from start to finish including extras took 2.5 days with great clean up and made the whole thing a non stressful pleasure. Drove our dog nutz with the noise but she lived :) I have other projects that needs to be done ( plumbing, electrical ) just wish Two States could do, would save me a lot of stress with worry that they would be done well. I live in Lake Oswego and I hired 2 States to do a skylight based on yelp reviews. It worked out well and the skylight looks great! Lucas is both personable and professional. He did the estimate and explained how they would install the skylight into my roof and approximately when that would happen depending on weather. They gave me a date 3 weeks out and stuck to it in spite of unexpected circumstances. (The first company I called were so backed up they said it would be almost 3 months just to look at the job!) They were also competitively priced---I did the research beforehand. I also have no doubt that if there were any problems, Lucas would have addressed them promptly and there is a warranty on the work. Everything came together as planned, the crew is friendly and worked hard and they cleaned up everything before they left. It took them a full day to do the work on the outside and another day for the finish work on the inside. Construction is never fun but 2 States made it a painless procedure and when I need a new roof (or another skylight) I will definitely call them. read more
