Under the deck on the west side of the house, replaced windows siding and painted.
    David V.

I had KVN replaced 13 windows in my house and redo the siding on two sides. I had old T11 siding that was buckling, warping, and rotting in certain places. Other places were just fine. His crew removed all the old damaged pieces and replaced them with solid plywood and then covered everything with Hardie plank horizontal siding to match the other two sides of the house. Where they found water damage after removing the old siding they repaired that before covering it up. The damaged part was done on a time and material basis and the owner had previously told me, though he could not guarantee a price for that, the estimate he gave me verbally was right on. His crew were friendly and efficient to work with. The work they did was professional and flawless. Since I had previously replaced the siding on another side of my house myself, I was quite the critic on the quality of their work so when I say it's five star, it's really five star. Afterwards they painted the entire house. I was given the option of having them paint just the sides that they worked on or painting everything; and, for the small additional cost, I did the whole thing. I'm really glad I did because they did a wonderful job in the house looks great. Their bid was not the lowest bit I received, but after talking to the owner Oleg, in assessing his great knowledge of the type of work I was asking him to bid, I picked his company and am very glad I did. Yes it was a big price tag, but when the house needs to be fixed, it needs to be fixed. I hope this helps you choose this company for your project.

That is sunlight you see...the damage continues.

Let's start with your new siding will look great. Their prices match others in the same industry. However be prepared as much as they try and minimize it your house will 100% be damage inside. Read the fine print as they do not cover any indoor damage including electrical. I'm still finding cracks that have to be repaired along with a long indentation that has started on one wall. AGAIN, they will pay for zero repairs. Buyer beware!

KVN did an incredible job on the Hardie board siding on our house. Their installers were meticulous and careful, and everyone on staff was very responsive to all of our questions and changes. Best of all, the results were amazing--we couldn't be happier!

When you hire KVN, I can truly say that this company has your best interest at heart. They start with a super thorough inspection, explain what products will be used and how they will install them, and then you go over design & Color ideas with a 3D Model of your house! The actual production process is also fantastic, because they truly deliver on promises made, unlike most companies that overpromise and under deliver. By far the best company for roof replacement and siding replacement in town. 100% worth the money.

Firstly, I can't recommend Kirill highly enough for any level of residing or paint jobs you may be doing. We recently used KVN Construction to reside, repair, lead abatement and paint our 1911 craftsman bungalow and have been delighted with the both the process and the results. Having listened to and researched many, many other companies for our project, I felt confident that Kirill was someone that takes genuine pride in the quality of the work he and his company are producing. I researched and listened to several other companies "sales pitch" and that is exactly how they felt. I wasn't sure if I could trust them or their price. From the moment Kirill arrived for our consult, there was no "pitch" it was very honest and straightforward and I really appreciated that. When compared with the other bids, I was very impressed with Kirill's pricing and the level of detail in his bid. Once the project kicked off, Kirill was in communication with us all the way through. He would send us pictures of our project while we were at work, as things came up. Excellent communication throughout the entire project. I really appreciated at the end of the project a call from them asking for feedback and ways for them to improve. Very kind and considerate people overall, from the owners to the guys painting our house, everyone took pride and care in what they did. Residing, or any kind of renovation, (whether big or small) can be very stressful- but having Kirill and KVN construction on our project really helped alleviate any concerns and I will recommend him and his company to anyone in need of siding.

I recently purchased a home that needed a lot of love and Greensavers was one of the contractors that gave me a bid for work paid for by a home energy improvement loan. Two weeks before Greensavers were to come I called a different mechanical contractor to do a routine furnace maintenance. The tech discovered the unit was damaged. It was possible it could leak gas. I had a negative expereince with the contractor (another company) who performed the service. I did not feel comfortable moving forward with that company to do the furnace replacement so I called Greensavers the same day. I explained the situation, that the furnace needed to stay off even though it was getting colder and Mira came out that same day to work through the options with me. This required a lot of leg work for Mira and the team as supply chain issues for HVAC units, HVAC sizing, schedule and availability, space and electrical constraints, incentive programs and budget all had to be considered. There were so many moving parts! Within a couple of business days she had reviewed the incentives, consulted their HVAC techs, project managers, schedulers and gave me several options that would keep the total project dollar amount at the same level as the original scope of work and with the potential to get the job done soon so that the house would have heat. We walked through all of the potential pros and cons of the new scope of work: full electrification, air sealing, weatherization and ultimately landed on a plan that would improve comfort, energy efficiency, air quality and actually ended up costing less than the original scope. The team actually managed to get both the HVAC replacement and the weatherization job scheduled and completed during the same time frame for which the original job has been scheduled - despite the huge changeup in scope. When Mira handed off the job to Charlie (the project manager) and Daniel (the field crew lead) I was so impressed with how customer service oriented they were: they always asked me about the tradeoffs and gave their honest opinions about whether aspects of the job were worth it. Even seemingly little stuff - like would I still want the door weather stripping if there were a possibility it might damaged the newly renovated hardwoods - showed me they not just there to check a box - they were acting like partners in this project and showing they cared about my house and much as I do. This is a firm that specializes in clean electrification and we went deep into considering full electrification of this home, but due to sizing and supply chain issues it just didn't seem practical to go that route given that the heat was off and it could push the job out significantly. Charlie explained a few future options where an attic heat pump could use the furnace as auxiliary heat during cold weather days. I hadn't heard of this option before but when I checked with my energy efficiency and heat pump expert friends they were all aware that this was a great option for people who for reasons like mine ended up having to go with a gas furnace replacement due to timing, budget or both. Charlie and the crew always advocated for the best solution practical even if that meant that I would end up paying them less for the job overall. I super appreciated his and Mira's friendly and proactive approach to answering questions, explaining options and working with constraints. This week their crews came and did a fast, clean and efficient job of installing the new furnace and thermostat, insulating and air sealing the unfinished basement and HVAC ducts. They thought through all of the little details - they ran the line for the furnace condensate pump to an interior drain. This is a big deal. The condensate pump on my last furnace runs to the exterior of my house (a typical configuration) but this means when we have a cold snap it freezes and shuts down the HVAC completely. Their crew had already anticipated this potential problem before I brought it up! They ran new ductwork where the previous occupant had made some odd changes that interfered with window clearances. Somehow - even given the non standard size of the ducting and odd placement - Daniel and his team fit both the ducting and insulation in a way where the window could be operable. They were respectful and left the job site clean. I am so thrilled to have a warm, cozy home in time for the holidays. Thank you to the whole crew at Greensavers. Appreciate you.

But I do need to point out some glaring details about this project as a note to myself more than anyone else before hiring this company. I first reached out to them in November last year and Manuel responded back very promptly using the odd messaging system Yelp uses. We traded a few messages, and Justin came out not long after to do a survey on the broken window in the bathroom which looked like it had been hit with a BB or a bullet. He gave me an estimate on replacing that window but pointed out that a lot of my other windows either had a lot of condensation build-up and/or mold beginning to grow out of the dampness. I ended up making the executive call to replace them all. It was a perfectly enjoyable hour or two discussing and then finishing up paperwork. He said he'd be in touch in about 4 - 6 weeks and left. That's where communication on an unprompted basis ended. I waited for almost 2 months before I picked up on the old Yelp thread because no one ever reached out during that period. Manuel told me twice he'd get back to me, but he never did. Someone named Skylar called me and told me Manuel had left on family leave. What kind of professional leaves his customers without notifying them that they are being handed to another representative? Then Skylar handed me off to Luke and despite my request to give me a heads up so I could let my work know if I needed to be home, he never confirmed anything. A third party delivery service showed up while I was sleeping and I had to clear out my garage so they had room. Then half an hour later Alex and his team showed up to start installing. I'm lucky my job was flexible enough to take me not coming in that week, but for other customers, do they have that kind of agility? It took them two days total to do the main job and then finish. After that Alex showed me the work and I signed a paper that he said was more for his team (I do a lot of projects for work and I'm pretty sure they were contractors for ASW). After that Luke said he had to do a walk for job completion that was never followed up on. I called him as promised and he said he'd get back to me, but he didn't. Then came the Docusign asking me to verify the job walk was done. I didn't sign it, thinking he had to do his walk. This was a $20k job. This is the first house I've ever owned. I wanted to be sure. He then said the job walk was done and I signed off on the work which meant the paper I signed with Alex was the final sign off, but he could have just explained this and saved us an email thread. One final laughable detail is his email to me didn't have an attachment, so his marketing team had to send me the photo he referenced to verify I signed. All in all, this whole process left me feeling like I was an inconvenience to them rather than a customer. The plus side: The windows look great. They reduce outside temperature and noise at a noticeable level. But ASW is just the coordinator. Other companies manufacture the windows, deliver them and install them. The one thing they should excel at is communication with the customer, but they decidedly don't.

If we had fewer than 20 windows to replace, I would not be aware of these problems. I suspect that this is the case with the customers who left positive reviews for Serenity Windows. We also had Serenity's work inspected by 3 separate companies. All 3 companies came to the same conclusion: the work is done incorrectly and definitely not by manufacturers' specifications. Stay away from Serenity Windows: they will charge you for correct installation but will do a horrible job that will destroy your house, if left uncorrected. There are reputable exterior remodel and window installation companies. Some of them will give you up to 30 year warranty; use these reputable companies. In my opinion, Serenity is highly unethical, dishonest and incompetent operation. They lied to me about everything. I initially signed a contract with another company. After the windows were ordered, I learned that several windows were incorrectly ordered and that the work would be done by a random subcontractor. We terminated contract on mutually agreed terms with the help of the attorneys before any work was done. I was open with DJ and Hannah why I terminated the contract with the other company. Serenity assured me they have Milgard trained and certified installers and that Milgard asks them to fix problems caused by other installers (this is a lie). They assured me that the work will be done according to manufacturers' specification, as required by our contract. After 20 windows, I started to suspect that Serenity has no clue what they are doing, but DJ and Hannah told me to trust them. Initially, I trusted them as I did not expect a contractor to be so untrustworthy. Also, I did not think that any REASONABLE contractor would be so unwise as to clearly breach the contract by not installing the windows per manufacturers' specification, as required by our contract. I finally called Milgard and our building inspector. I found out that Serenity is not Milgard certified. I got installation instructions and forwarded to Serenity, but they chose to ignore the instructions. Only after I forwarded email from the building inspector stating that Serenity is installing windows incorrectly, DJ admitted that they are doing this wrong. DJ also told me that if they fix this step, the installation would be up to manufacturers' specifications. This is another lie. I did not know about multiple additional problems until 3 reputable window replacement companies examined Serenity's work. DJ also lied about repairing dry rot around the windows and charged me for it. We just removed the trim and dry rot is still there. They damaged window frames by incorrectly placing screws. They lied to me about properly placed "flashing". This tiny piece of metal (1-1.5in when it should be 4-6 in) was sitting behind the siding on all of the windows that we have exposed so far (not behind the house wrap, as it should be). There are multiple other problems, but I have only a limited number of words that I can use in a review. I almost called the police on DJ on March 16, 2026. I told him that his work needs to be taken apart and redone as they left my house open to water damage and pest intrusion and I would be withholding $400 (I was going to withhold the 2nd half of the payment, $26125, until the work is corrected, but they charged my credit card for $26125 even after I told them in writing to remove my card from their files and never charge it). However, DJ stopped the installation of the last window and started threatening me. At that point I was done trying to work with Serenity and was ready to call 911, but he left. Check Woods General Contracting, their most recent adventure (before Serenity). Low volume production (2014-2020). Even with that low volume and short time in business, they managed to get 2 CCB complaints and 1 disciplinary action from CCB. In April of 2020, they decided to rebrand themselves as Serenity Windows: no building inspections to deal with; after the trim is on, most homeowners will leave the windows alone until there is a huge problem with dry rot. By the time you discover dry rot, Serenity's 1 or 2-year warranty will expire. We are in the process of fixing their damage and dealing with unauthorized credit card charges. We will be sending them a bill for repairs.

When it came time to install, the installers were generally nice, did a good job cleaning up after themselves and the exterior work was done reasonably well. Things did not go quite so well inside. The windows themselves work fine and are an improvement over what we had previously, but our house was built in 1943 and the interior trim on all the windows and doors is mitered and a particular width. We had also previously tested other window and door frames with a 3M lead test and found that they potentially had lead paint underneath the top layer. The sales rep had assured us they would match the framing style and definitely do a lead test first. The installers did not seem to care about this because they did not test for lead and started right in. When they came to tell us they were finished and show us the final product, what we got was a giant blocky casing that did not in any way match what was in the house. For context, our framing is 3.5 inches in width on all windows and doors in the house. This new framing is 5.5 inches, adding an additional 2 inches all the way around and not mitered. Because the new trim is wider, it doesn't sit level with other framing in the house and it also means the headboard of our bed doesn't fit properly against the wall anymore either. Not to mention it just looks out of place. Additionally, some of the brad nails were also sticking out of the casing and they did not caulk beneath the bottom portion of the trim. I have included pictures for reference, including an example of the original style from one of our other windows we haven't had replaced yet. I understand that sometimes when you have work done on your house, you have to hire someone else to complete another portion or do it yourself (for example, an electrician is not going to repair your wall well or at all after they cut into it), but this feels pretty bad at ~$7K when you also have to do all the painting yourself. What's worse is now we're probably going to end up having to redo the interior casing trim ourselves too. Overall disappointed.
