We were blown away by our experience with Precision Roofing and Gutters! Doug is honest and forthright, and the team delivered on everything they promised. Doug, David, and the entire crew were courteous, professional, and a pleasure to work with. They completed our roof work in about three days, and their work ethic, thoroughness, and attention to detail were outstanding. They cleaned up every evening and treated our home with care. Several team members also stopped by to make sure we were completely satisfied--a personal touch we truly appreciated. We couldn't be happier with the work and highly recommend Precision Roofing and Gutters! read more

This company made numerous mistakes on our project. We told them that we would pay once all corrections were completed; however, David, the Operations Manager, began threatening us with placing a lien on our home. We paid the full amount, but afterward there were continued problems with completing the work and repairs, along with additional damage caused during the project. We paid $47,000 for a large-scale job, yet they continued to make errors on a daily basis while attempting to conceal them from us. One of the most alarming examples was that they installed Window! flashing across the entire roof. (David's Idea!). I can't even count how many times I had to clean nails out of the street and garden, as well as oil stains from the driveway and street, after they left. One of the workers was pulled into the gutter machine right in front of my eyes. Thankfully, another worker managed to shut the machine off in time. The workers from this company are vulgar and aggressive. They reacted aggressively when I asked them not to damage my property, because they destroyed many things during the project. I was only able to learn the truth from the security cameras because they lied to me when I asked what had happened. The owner of the company did not respond to the aggressive behavior of the workers, even though we informed him about it many times. The company owner should ensure that workers have access to proper restroom facilities. At the beginning of the project, there were none, and one of the workers relieved himself in my yard--in plain view of me! read more

The company owner requested that we remove my wife's online review instead of addressing the serious concerns we raised. After I pointed out a defect in the gutter installation -- a visible ¼" hole near a gutter seam that should have been properly sealed metal-to-metal -- Chris responded by calling me a vulgar name in a foreign language I understand. Unfortunately, this incident was only the latest in a long series of problems we experienced with Precision throughout our project. We hired Precision to replace our roof. On the first day, workers threw a 4'x8' plywood sheet into our front window casing, requiring repairs. We also found large gaps between plywood sheathing panels. Defective shingles were installed across the roof, but Precision disclosed the issue only after installation was complete. During installation, crews worked through heavy rain, and one worker fell off the roof before being caught by his harness. Ridge vents were also improperly fastened, with nails driven through random areas instead of designated slots. Nick and Alex supervised this phase. After a warranty claim for the shingles, David oversaw a complete tear-off and second roof installation. During this installation, rain entered our attic because the roof was not properly dried in despite repeated requests. We had to place buckets in the attic while the crew attempted to tarp the roof during the storm. David also installed plywood sheathing with excessive corner gaps, used window flashing tape around the eaves, which is not specified for roofing applications, and screwed a chimney cricket directly into the masonry, damaging the chimney. We then requested David's removal from the job, and owner Ben agreed to a second tear-off and third re-roof due to the severity of the issues. Jim supervised the third installation. By then, we felt forced to monitor nearly every aspect of the work ourselves. We had to ensure plywood gaps complied with code and discovered two skylights improperly fastened without adequate support. The gutter installation created additional issues. One worker put his weight against our kitchen door while holding a ladder in his arms while another climbed it, creating a serious safety hazard just as my wife was about to open the door. The installers also arrived without the correct gutter hangers and modified them on-site. It turned out they were using the wrong hangers. When we received the invoice, it contained multiple incorrect charges that required revision and negotiation, yet we were still threatened with a two-week payment deadline. After corrections, we paid on time. We later discovered additional gutter defects, including 4-foot hanger spacing, despite manufacturer requirements for spacing every two feet, violating both manufacturer instructions and Oregon code. We also found a blocked edge vent that had not been ventilating for 18 months because the roof opening had been cut incorrectly. Precision sent Jim back to add hangers, but he used the same incorrect hangers that visibly dented the gutters. Precision agreed to replace those sections and reinstall a misaligned and damaged fascia board. It took two attempts to reinstall the fascia correctly after we spent significant time sourcing and preparing replacement boards. We had to help install fascia boards because they did not have enough workers to help Jim. During the latest gutter replacement, we discovered improperly cut drip-edge flashing corners with visible gaps that remain unresolved, also a code violation. The crew also forgot to cut a hole for the downspout outlet, leaving water unable to drain from a long gutter run. Throughout the project, Precision never performed a walk-through or identified defects themselves; we had to point out every issue. My wife was also treated in a vulgar and condescending manner by several workers. Overall, this project, which cost $50K, involved repeated installation defects, safety hazards, property damage, code violations, billing disputes, poor communication, and unprofessional conduct from workers and supervisors alike. read more

Recently had some gutter repairs completed. They ended up rescheduling our service date twice. The second time we ended up getting a call past our appt time that they couldn't make it and would need to reschedule again. Ultimately we ended up opting to cancel upcoming plans in order to get the work done as soon as they were able, rather than push the service out even further. On the new service date a (contracted) worker showed up slightly late. I'm very glad we were home (even though after they'd rescheduled they suggested we didn't need to be home), as they ended up providing him with a plan that involved a different layout that we'd discussed with the original salesperson. We would've ended up with a gutter downspout across our patio, which we definitely did not want. The tech quickly offered an alternative (the original plan) which we again agreed to and the work began. It was slow going initially, as the contracted worker was alone for an hour or so (outside of the lady who'd accompanied him to tidy up and help move items). A second worker showed up after an hour or so and the 2 were able to complete the minor work quickly from there. Houses are very tight where we live, and we did get quite nervous when a large old section of gutter was dropped from the roof into our patio, coming quite close to our neighbors house and our plants. My other issue was with water usage. Although extremely conscious of staying on top of a tidy workspace, it ended up costing us a lot of water. Instead of washing away the debris after completing an entire area, she would very thoroughly spray each small area as they went. It was raining so debris was not sticking...a lot of water could've been saved by one good rinse once an entire area was complete. So far the replaced sections are functioning well and we've not noticed any issues. The tech who did the work seemed competent. However I would not use them again based off our overall experience. read more

Precision Roofing & Gutters - New roof in color Georgetown grey - Gutter Services Near Me - Tigard, Oregon

In February, I had Doug Walhood from Precision Roofing and Gutters come out and give me an estimate on a partial roof repair. There was only 1 area of the that needed work, but from their bid, "The full warrantied estimate includes replacing 3 full facet of your roof. Oregon code will not let us tie into a roof at a valley." The roof was a 17 year old Certainteed Presidential, color Autumn Blend. Imagine my frustration and anger when I came home after 2/3's of the job was done, and the color was markedly different. They had replaced the shingles with Country Gray color. When I brought this to their attention, I was told that they had sent a sample to their shingle provider, and that this was the match that they came up with. They never came back to me to show me the new shingle color to compare it with the original prior to starting the job. When a manager came out to look, I was told that the Autumn blend color was not available in this area, and basically this is what I had to live with. Their only recommendation was either to replace the rest of the roof with Country Gray, or do the entire roof over, for a lot more money. I then contacted two different roofing companies for them to come out and see what could be done. Both companies told me that they had Autumn Blend color in stock, or could easily get it from their supplier. One even called their supplier while he was talking to me to confirm this. I have since had that section replaced again, at my expense, and it looks a lot better. read more

Extremely poor service and follow through, left two downspouts without clean outs. Job was never quoted or completed to my satisfaction. Communication was VERY POOR. Installers showed up when I was not home - multiple times!! After dark!! I asked that work be completed when I was present, they did a bitch job while I was at work, against my clearly stated wishes. I will hire someone else to add the missing clean outs and clean my downspouts now that they're full of leaves rather than choose to subject myself to this chaos again. Buyer beware. read more

Been deal with Precision Gutters for years. Always great. James and Kaizer had my stuff ready to go when I arrived to pick it up.

Reached out thru yelp for roof repair. Precision asked for photo. Sent Tuesday morning by text and all communications thereafter were by text. He said he could take care of the repairs and would be at my place Friday or Saturday. Friday at 11, no word so I reached out to him asking for eta on Saturday. He asked if 2-4 worked, I agreed. He texted that he would text when on his way. No show. When I called him in his BS and thanked for wasting my time later that evening, he had the audacity to say I wasn't being fair and he emailed.... After at least a half dozen texts between us, I'm supposed to check my email! If you value your time, don't waste it on this company! read more

I have used Ben and crew for several years. They installed gutters and periodically clean them. Recently, a tree trimmer broke one of the downspouts. My basement floods easily so I needed the downspout to direct the water away from the house. I called Ben and within an hour, they had replaced the several sections of the downspout. Highly recommended. read more

Quick response, and excellent workmanship on gutters for our house. Thank you for a job well done!

Ben and his team is great to work with. All the way from the bid, to scheduling, to installation of new roof and gutters, to Clean up, and walk around the project and making sure I was happy with the work. This is the second job he has done for me and would highly recommend him. read more

I first learned of Precision Services thru Angie's List. I chose precision services because they seem to pay a bit more attention to detail and had great customer service. One of the coordinators, Ben, even came to my house to see what needs to be done. As my gutter size was not going to be standard. He kept in the loop all the way and I was very pleased with the results. I would highly recommend this company and their crew. read more

No show. I took time off to be here when it was arranged. The serviceperson called earlier that morning to say that they were in the neighborhood ahead of schedule but I didn't get the message. They left a card in my door . I was home and waiting for the scheduled time. When you make an appointment, you keep it. read more

Dishonest, shotty work. One of the workers informed me after they installed my gutters, that they had forgotten to install one of my downspouts. I asked that it be installed, and I was guaranteed that the gutter would work appropriately without it, and it was unnecessary. Shortly after my gutters were installed I had them overflowing with rainwater. I got on the ladder to clean them, and noticed they were not full of debris, just uneven and holding stagnant water to the point of overflow. I contacted Ben (owner) and let him know about the problem. When he notified me he would be out to fix it over the weekend, I let him know I would be out of town for the weekend, and needed to schedule another time. Fast forward about 2 months, I contacted again to let them know I still had the same problem. Ben assured me he came out that weekend when I was gone and fixed them. Odd, because my fiance was still home for the weekend, and the cars parked directly under the front gutter would have been impossible to work around. Add in the fact that I have photographs, AND the gutter in the back of the house is still shaped like a "W" holding water in more than one spot. I have since not heard from Ben or his company about fixing the gutters. Previous gutters were on the house for 20+ years and never held standing water. Ben and Precision Services LLC not only do poor craftsmanship causing you to have the job done twice, he is a bold faced liar. I will be hiring someone to fix the issue, and sending them the bill as they have refused to return my attempts to contact them to fix what they did wrong. read more

We had a very complicated roof repair where a tree had fallen on the house and damaged the roof, the gutter, and the scaffolding. Needless to say there was some urgency in getting it repaired in late September. Which also happens to be the height of roof replacement season. Despite the perfect storm of unfortunate circumstances. Tobey made it out fairly quickly to get the process started. Kara handled our constants call for updates with respect and kindness. She is so lovely to work with! Lastly, Robert and crew made it out to do the repair. Of course, there was more damage then we anticipated with the scaffolding needing replacement. Also, Robert made a heroic schlep all over Portland to procure materials that perfectly matched the existing roof. All said and done, precision services made a very stressful situation right again. Total lead time was about 3 weeks. I can't say I ever want this to happen again but I am grateful that precision services was there for us. read more

We have used Precision Services for two separate projects and could not be happier with both results. First, we had them replace our roof and then most recently, they upgraded our downspouts and replaced some damaged gutters. In both cases, Robert, Ben and the rest of the team were very responsive, competitively priced, efficient, and cleaned up after their work was done. When the roofing was done, there were a few shingles that were not up to standard and they came out the same day I called and had them replaced quickly. We would recommend them to anyone looking for a great team to get their roofing/gutter needs met. read more

Robert arrived on schedule to review our gutter and downspout issues & sent a proposal shortly thereafter. We were having some intermittent water intrusion issues so I was pleased they were able to schedule and correct some gutter/downspout problems in a quality manner and on a timely basis. Ben was always available by phone and e-mail to answer my questions. I am planning to have them do work on another building soon. read more

The guys got to the house and got started before 800 am on the day we had agreed to. They removed/replaced all the gutters and completed the work before noon, and left the site clean and complete. A slight miss on their part they replaced some facia board and left it untreated, when we were told that they would be priming the board. Though the work they did was good. The paperwork was clear and correct. read more

Excellent from beginning to completion. Ben arrived promptly for our appointment to provide a bid for roof cleaning and gutter/downspout replacement. I was impressed with his presentation. The bid was fair and the job was easily scheduled. Jim arrived at the job site to supervise. He was easy to communicate with and clearly addressed questions. The outcome is top notch. Subsequently I called Ben for an estimate on roof repair. Doug was sent to provide the bid. He too was very easy to communicate with. Based on my experience I would definitely recommend Precision Services. read more
