It is my pleasure to review Great Northwest Gutters…read more We had asked for recommendations from a trusted contractor for a gutter company. They told us that they only use Great Northwest Gutters. We had a few issues with the gutters that were installed when we bought our house. Two of the corners on the house were not draining at all and during storms would dump water in sheets - one just outside our backdoor. In addition, several corner seams were rusted and leaking through. We called to schedule a (free) estimate on a Friday and on Monday morning Austin showed up at 9:00 am. We walked around the house and talked about how to fix various problems - adding a downspout from the second story to the first floor gutter, moving downspouts avoid excess water across shingles, etc.The next day Austin had emailed us a quote with choices: aluminum or steel, square or round corrugated downspouts and color choices. We went with steel, corrugated and black. The very next day two crew members, Reynolds and Nahum, showed up on time with their truck. Both Reynolds and Nahum were professional, courteous and very conscientious. Whenever they had a question they would find my wife or myself and get an answer before proceeding. They took down the old gutters efficiently. Once all of the gutters were down they vacuumed up the resulting mess: mud, leaves and debris. After that was done, they began manufacturing custom lengths on site for the house. Ours is a two story house with 30' plus runs and multiple corner returns. Reynolds and Nahum had no problem with any of it and were able to move from one section to another with no lag time. At the end of the day, we had new, beautiful gutters installed. They cleaned up everything from the project including the screws from the disassembled old parts from the driveway. All the seams were tight, caulked and perfectly fitted, including a bit of custom downspout work feeding directly into our rain barrels. Reynolds and Nahum are truly top notch professionals. With the quality of work showed and delivered from start to finish, I would not hesitate to recommend them and Great Northwest Gutters

Finally on the 3rd quote they gave me the price for what I asked for in the first place, only after I had to call to get each of those because they never responded. I accepted the 3rd bid and asked them to get it scheduled. They told me should be able to work me in during November (within about 8 weeks+ after I requested a quote). That was fine, so I turned down bids from 2 other companies. Today (a month after I first requested a bid) they email me and say sorry, due to the small scope of the project (45' of gutter) they don't have time for me and turned down the job. Now I'm at least 2 months out into the rainy season trying to get on the schedule for the other company. If you don't want the job, don't bid it. What a waste of my time. Don't count on them to follow through, they may come in cheaper than the other companies but clearly you get what you pay for.

And they did it all for hundreds of dollars less than any other bid I got! I'd highly recommend working with this crew. It's challenging to take pics of your gutters so I'm sorry the photos attached aren't better, but take my word for it: even if no one else would notice your gutters, you will, and you'll be happy you got new ones before rainy season starts.

WOULD NOT REHIRE! While they did a good job cleaning the…read moregutters, they knocked down a potted plant and just left it on the ground. Admittedly, we missed moving it before they got here but leaving it on the ground without even a heads up is just poor business. They also trampled and blew debris all over a well-marked patch of new grass we have been growing. While they did do what they promised and cleaned off the flat surfaces (driveway, etc) with a blower, they do so by blowing the debris from your gutters all over your lawn and flower beds. Having been in the gutter business I am well aware of the challenges associated with the job and in my opinion their performance was lack-luster at best.

I reached out to All Surface to look at installing 2 stem vents that connect to existing exhaust…read morefan ductwork and potentially replacing chimney flashing at my new home. Megan was great, getting us scheduled with an estimator very quickly. I had a disappointing experience with the estimator this morning that makes me not interested in working with All Surface, at all. After looking at the exhaust fan ducts/vents - the estimator told me that 2 of the 4 other vents we have on our roof are placed in the wrong spots and that they want to remove those 2 vents, patch, re-shingle, and install 4 new vents on the other side of the house for a total of 6 vents (2 existing and 4 new) as well as adding the 2 stem vents for the exhaust fans. I asked what the purpose of relocating/adding those 4 vents would be as we are not experiencing any moisture issues in the attic. The estimator explained some airflow/air pressure dynamics which made sense. I then asked if we could look at replacing the aging vents in their existing locations as an additional option to what he proposed and that's where it escalated. He responded with an annoyed "We don't just throw shit on people's roofs". and continued to say that they're the experts and they're going to do things the right way. This was a completely unnecessary response to a genuine question. I'm not trying to get you to do things the wrong way - I was asking if there was a way to minimize the level of work needed when there are functioning ventilation penetrations already in place. The response was not friendly, educational, or good customer service in any way. This experience really soured my opinion of All Surface and don't plan on working with them. I hope others do not experience the same type of interaction I did.

I received a referral for "Gordon Great Gutters" from Great Northwest Gutters because Great Northwest Gutters was scheduling so far in advance and they knew that I needed attention for the overflowing gutter. I called Gordon Great Gutters and Gordon promptly came out and assessed the scope of the work. Within an hour, Gordon had unclogged the gutter/downspout by removing the debris, used a hose to check that the water flow was once again working correctly, cleared debris in additional areas that needed attention as well as applied some sealant that was needed to the downspout. ***I HIGHLY recommend "Gordon Great Gutters" for any of your gutter needs. *Pros: - Prompt - Courteous - Knowledgeable - AFFORDABLE!!! *Cons: - That I didn't find him sooner!

A couple of weeks ago it was a small job but they came right away and were able to fix the leaking seams in three places the very next day. They had special equipment to enable to new sealant to dry in this cold weather. Today's project was much more complicated. Slav and Tony (the two brothers' owners) worked in tandem to figure out the work around for a drainpipe that could no longer flow below ground due to 99 year old broken clay tiles underground. Again, they came very promptly to assess the job and give an estimate, and were able to get the work done the very next day. Their solution was, I feel, "above and beyond" the ordinary both in ingenuity and in a concern for the overall aesthetics of what they were installing and how they were installing it. I am so pleased with their work. Sooner than latter, all the downspouts need replacing and they're for sure the ones I'm going to call.

To be fair, the weather was definitely a big factor in the experience I had with this company…read more There was frequent rain and some freezing temperatures. With my metal roof, it was often too dangerous for them to do the work so... this resulted in the company having to come out for roof cleaning approximately 10 times in order to finish the roof. Given those circumstances, I'm not super pleased with how they went about doing this and the results (most important to me). About half of the time when one of their company representatives came over to the house, they would just get onto the roof without first announcing their arrival. Only twice did they ever give me notice ahead of time that they would be coming over. One time they said they'd come over in a specific time window and didn't show up at all. This is simply a lack of professionalism and organization. And finally, the final results were lackluster. I hired and paid them to clean gutters and clean the roof. The result was a sweeping of debris off the roof (not what I would call "clean"), leaving behind plenty of residue that will encourage items to stick onto roof in the future. I had to ask the company a couple times to come and remove all of the debris from our lawn that they had swept off the roof and removed from the gutters. Luckily they did remove the debris within about 5 days and didn't end up killing my grass. Again, not signs of professionals who are organized and lacking pride in their work. On a more positive note, the lead quote and billing person, was very respectful and fairly easy to communicate with. In summary, I think that with a few tweaks in organization, communication (scheduling visits) and taking pride in their work, this could be a fantastic company. Until that happens, I wouldn't recommend this company and I wouldn't hire them again.
